- Peter (4/5): Stay was OK, process was unconscionable. PS I use this site all the time, not a serial complainer. - The accommodation was OK, accommodation was not the issue (see below for that). Basic, but had what was needed and comfortable enough. Though it is not a 2 bedroom apartment as advertised. It has an alcove in the entryway hall with a screen across it and a single bed behind. If you want any sort of privacy for the second guest, this isn't what you're looking for. I had paid for and confirmed my stay through Booking.com. I had tickets for my son and I to a show so I needed the accommodation. And then I get an email asking me for a deposit around the same price as the accommodation cost. Yep, it's there in the fine print if you look through all the legal T&Cs, but who does that? Who doesn't expect that the price they pay upfront covers all the costs? Was told that unless I paid the deposit I would not be given the access codes etc. At that late stage I had no choice, I felt completely stitched up. Owner told me to take it up w Booking.com. At this moment I have still not received my deposit back, 5 days later. And the owner had the good grace to be rude to me about it.
