Prima ontvangst, ondanks zeer verlate aankomst.
- Carey (9/5): A great stay in a wonderful area of Berlin. - Collecting the keys was very quick and easy. Great Stays via Booking.com contacted us 3 days prior to check in and reconfirmed the time and provided us with the phone number and name of the person checking us in. We were met on arrival by Guila who was incredibly welcoming and showed us around the apartment. Two sets of keys were provided. There could have been better security on the windows when they were open, we weren't sure on whether it was safe to leave them open at night as the apartment is ground floor and on both sides faces bike storage, considering the large opening windows it would have been easy for someone to enter the apartment even with us there.
- Robert (9/5): Superb -
- Bill (6/5): It was just ok - There was no breakfast I understood that it was an old building but having to access the apartment thru one long not that well lit hallway into a courtyard into another hallway via an unsecured door to finally access the apartment was not comfortable and necessarily safe.
There were towels set up on each bed for each occupant, but NO hand towel/s for guests to dry just their hands in the bathroom.
We asked just for one or two towels for drying of hands, but not even get a response.
Also, the towels that were there didn’t smell fresh or were soft at all.
Bring your own shower gel, there were no such items in apartment. There is a washer/dryer but no detergent.
Overall, I wouldn’t choose this apartment again for many reasons other than the ones already mentioned.
- Jacqueline (8/5): Great location, very clean, minor fixes to issues pointed out above would have made it a great stay - Very clean, a few blocks from the UBahn, bright kitchen, close to supermarket/coffee etc, great shower Extremely brief and rushed greeting (even though we warned that our train was late), only 2 rolls of toilet paper for 4 people for 6 nights, unresponsive host when asked a question during our stay, dryer full of wet towels and sheets from previous guests and overflowing water container, in dryer, only salt/pepper/tea in kitchen (no sugar or any other condiments was a bit surprising)
- Mrsincredible76 (8/5): Very good - 5 adults stayed for the Berlin half marathon. The location of this property is superb!!! Several main line trains only about 5 min walk from the apartment. If you are a runner, it's worth noting that there is a track not far from the apartment and we noticed people having a track session. Might be worth contacting the club if you are travelling, this was the Thursday night. The choice of restaurants and bakeries in the area is outstanding. Our hosts sent us a list, but we would highly recommend Meta, 15 mins walk away- the schnitzel and apple strudel were out of this world! We all agreed that the beds in this apartment were the most comfortable that we have EVER slept in!!! We made not that they are from Ikea. Be prepared for a great nights sleep! Even though I looked at the pictures, I didn't click that there was no living room in the apartment. We had to sit around the kitchen table to socialise which was uncomfortable. We didn't cook at home, but it's worth noting that there is also no oven. There is are take away burger, pizza and wurst places just around the corner as well as coffee. Take your own tea bags is you're English! Coffee provided. There's also no tin opener- please can one be added? 1 bathroom between was difficult, but manageable with good communication!
- Vito (10/5): A very comfortable and clean apartment, well located in Berlin - The apartment is well furnished and clean, very well positioned in Berlin at few steps from the public transport. The host was nice in facilitating a late check in, which was very much appreciated.
- Olga (8/5): Beautiful apartment in a super location - Natalia was very friendly, meeting us despite being late into Berlin. The Apartment was a great size for our family of 5, and very well appointed - we loved the kitchen. The high ceilings were lovely as well. So easy to get around Berlin from there as lots of public transport nearby. Lots of different shops and stores right next on the corner. Parking is available right outside the building, but only free at night and on Sunday. Machines take coins, but you can use the Easypark App. It's about $24 per day. We would drive up to a ParknRide and catch a train from there instead of paying for parking all day.
We felt safe at the apartment as well, as it was well secured. It's worth knowing it is an internal apartment so the windows are all facing into courtyards. As it's an internal apartment, on the first floor, we kept our curtains closed the whole time as people walk past, and park bikes right next to the bedroom windows. It's not a complaint, but it wasn't expected.
We felt it could have been cleaner - lots of dust under the beds that kept coming out. The towels seemed like they weren't completely dried after previously washed - a bit smelly - so we rewashed them. We had to run the drier a couple of times to get them properly dry.
- Jennifer (10/5): Highly recommended - Very clean, with nice decor. Has a washing machine and dryer. Very close to a grocery store and restaurants, train station and a shopping mall. Only one bathroom for all 5 of us.
- Cory (9/5): Perfect Location For Your Berlin Stay - Location is absolutely perfect! Close to the supermarket, close to Siebert Bakerei (thank me later) and most importantly right next to all the travel options you could want for getting around easily! Couldn't fault the property at all, Natalia was brilliant and arranged for us an early bag drop and key collection which was incredibly helpful. Thank you. Only annoyance was that the shower was so powerful, that it overflowed the tray! But hardly a criticism as I would much rather that than a drip of a shower!
- Peter (8/5): Great place for a city stay with family. - Very good communication from the host Ilja - he made everything easy for us.
- Anna (10/5): It was very good experience and we are planing our next trip to Berlin - The check-in manager was really helpful. He showed and explained us everything. He had also very nice outfit! Nothing. Everything was great.
- Julie (9/5): Spacious and clean apartment - Welcomed at property by friendly staff at agreed time. Shown round property and advice given on windows, locks and keeping property safe. Apartment was clean & spacious and like photos. Location good and neighbourhood felt safe. Really good supermarket minutes from property that sells lovely fresh produce. It would have been a nice touch to have milk and a welcome pack with basics so we could made a drink as we arrived later in day and had travelled from UK.
- Andrew (7/5): A well priced apartment with good access to public transport making it easy to explore Berlin. - Access to public transport which made it easy to get around Berlin The apartment is located towards the rear of the building which you access through a shared hall and court yard. It didn’t feel particularly secure.
We couldn’t find any instructions and therefore found it difficult to use the hob for cooking.
- Karin (1/5): Great stay? = Hell stay - Nightmare stay!!!!
1.They didnt notify us about the construction work!!!!
2. No contact with owner
3. Got locked outside and had to bring a guy to open since owner never answered
4. BLACK MOLD in bathroom. Our 3 year old is coughing severely!!!!!
5. Filthy!!!!!
6. In one room window is locked. Its summer! With black mold there is severe smell
7. After contacting the owner under another number- he said he will refund us and dissapeared!
8. If all isnt enough, pillows were huge. Only a giant can sleep on them. Booking doesnt let an upload of more then 4 pictures. Dirty beds!!!! Filthy cups!!!!!, horrible.
- Shoko (7/5): recommended! - - convenient location (close to stores and train stations)
- clean and spacious rooms with contemporary looks
- I personally appreciated that the room had a laundry machine and a hair dryer - the kitchen has no ventilation system that makes it hard to cook (we set off the fire alarm just by cooking sausages)
- the laundry didn't dry well inside the room
- locking and unlocking of the keys were a little hard (maybe we were not used to the lock system of this country)
- Diego (9/5): Great host and great apartment with great access to public transport. - Super nice apartment for a large group that is close to public transport. Easy to get there to different tourist places in berlin with public transport. The parking that is "close" by is not that close and is in a mall. You have to pay 20 euros per day which can accumulate. has 2 small chairs so for a heavy stroller can be difficult.
- Jennifer (10/5): Delightful apartment in a convenient location. - Easy access to rail links, great amenities and very clean. Nothing, it was really good.
- Barry (9/5): Good place to stay, helpful host and great value for money. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip. - Value for money, lots of restaurants and cafes near the property, clean and host was very helpful in sending places to go for shopping and food. Was very warm in the property but they did provide air conditioners
- Magdalena (10/5): Highly recommend with the amazing space located in the quite neighbourhood with the beautiful green space- public and fr - Amazing location, close to all tourists sights with locals’ favorite spots. Really cool!
- Cindy (9/5): Great place to stay in Berlin - Great location Nothing
- Dmitry (10/5): Exceptional - Good location, a metro station, grocery stores, and coffee shops are a short distance walk. Friendly and communicative property manager.
- Evelyn (9/5): Great location and nice little apartment. - Lovely area, super convenient (4 stops on U2 from Alexplatz; 4 mins walk to large supermarket). Lots of easy Property manager friendly and obliging. Property super clean and thoughtfully equipped. I hadn't noticed the lack of oven (stove top and microwave only) ..wish i had before buying pizzas to cook!
- Michael (9/5): Superb - Conventient location. A great bonus was the set of chairs and tables in the backyard. We were positively surprised about the silence (if work had not been going on in the neighboring flat). Great that a selection of teas was made available. In one room to which we had no access a dryer was in operation for some hours, which caused some unpleasant smell during the first night. The kitchen is well furnished, but why are we expected to buy oil and vinaigre, which we then have to throw away after leaving? Can not a bit of such essentials be provided, so that one actually can use the kitchen (and that less food stuff lands in dustbins)? The handling of check-in and check-out was very rigid. Some flexibility would be appreciated.
- Alasdair (6/5): Pleasant - Location was good We were a group of 6 so asked for more than one set of keys as soon as we arrived. Contacted our host numerous times throughout the trip and was either ignored or said they would get back to us. Never got an extra set. Made it very inconvenient as we had to coordinate what time everyone was coming back to the apartment
