• Osteikaitė (7/5): - The situation with public transport is great, U7 line is a minute away and other U and S lines are within 10 minutes of walking, buses as well. The city centre can be reached in around 40 minutes. The neighbourhood seemed a little bit sketchy at first (specifically the park across the street), but there were multiple families living nearby and nothing dangerous happened during our stay. Its just a simple neighbourhood :). There are lost of food options around and the grocery stores are close by - very convenient. The landlord sends out helpful automatic messages that may contain some unclear information, so make sure to ask questions and communicate with the landlord - they respond pretty quickly, are respectful and explain everything in detail, including the instructions on how to get the keys. Since the apartment is on the ground floor and accessed through the inner yard (reached by unlocking the building door), it was a little bit uncozy (at least at first) - the building residents keep their bikes in front of the apartment door and windows, and behind them are the trashbins, so there is some noise and movement daily, and we had to make sure we weren't making much noise. It's important to consider that if you are easily distracted or feel unconfortable by nearby movement. But safety wasn't our worry - the doors cannot be opened from the outside without a key and the windows are behind bars. But the doors to the apartment and especially to the yard (the door is of old wood, the handle AND the lock are janky and not stable) are difficult to unlock - we got scared that we will never learn how to open them. If you have rented this place, you have to pull the doors towards yourself and turn the keys all the way to one side or the other.

• Dr. Steffi (10/5): - Tolle Lage, Hochbett bequem, Kontakt war unkompliziert und schnell bei Fragen. Das Sofabett war etwas hart und kurz.
• Helen (1/5): Niet boeken! Op een andere plek zit je beter! - NIKS! Auto geparkeerd in de straat. Dit bleek niet gratis te zijn. De parkeerapp maakt het wel makkelijker, aangezien je dan doorbetaald. Kosten ongeveer 20 euro per dag. Daarna zijn we op zoek gegaan naar de sleutels. We hebben ruim1,5u gezocht. Volgens de instructies zouden de sleutels aan de overkant van de straat in een sleutelkluisje moeten liggen. Hele straat afgezocht, niet gevonden! De host was amper bereikbaar. Pas na lang zoeken en meerdere berichten, werden er foto's gestuurd waarop meer aanwijzingen stonden. Toch nog een half uur gezocht en toen vonden we het sleutelkluisje. Het sleutelkluisje werkte slecht, dus opnieuw een half uur staan rommelen, waarna het open ging. Daarna op zoek naar het juiste appartement. Bewoners van het complex hebben ons toen (zuchtend) gewezen waar we moesten zijn. Bij binnenkomst bleek het appartement niet schoongemaakt te zijn. Het was er vies; bedden niet verschoond, vieze handdoeken, vuil op de grond, wastafel met tandpasta en haren, wc met poep erin. We hebben besloten op een andere plek te verblijven, aangezien het al vroeg op de avond was inmiddels en de host niks van zich liet horen. Natuurlijk direct contact gelegd met Booking.com. Inmiddels zijn we al een aantal dagen thuis. Booking compenseert vooralsnog niet onze kosten; inmiddels al wel meerder telefoontjes aan gewaagd (in totaal ruim 2 uur). We hopen dat Booking zijn verantwoordelijkheid neemt en ons het betaalde bedrag netjes terugbetaalt.
• Dolores (6/5): Juego de llaves - No estoy satisfecha. Lo siento Primero que yo reservé la habitación más grande y me dieron la más pequeña. Nada que ver con las fotos. Y después que al llegar había una especie de "juego" que consiste en buscar las llaves en la calle, cruzando vías y mirando bajo las farolas. Me ayudaron los inquilinos de Meddo I, que casualmente ocupaban nuestra habitación. Encontramos las llaves dos horas después de llegar escondida en una bicicleta abandonada. Surrealista. En fin muy mala experiencia. Coincidió con unas temperaturas excepcionales en Berlín de 39 grados centigrados. Puedo decir como cosa positiva que tiene buena relación calidad precio, está bien comunicado y aceptablemente limpio.

• Prajakta (7/5): Good amenities, but definitely there's scope for improvement - The location is great. The amenities are provided as promised. The apartment is very well equipped and has all that one needs. We were staying for a longer duration and often cooked. The host is not at all responsive, no phone number is provided and you can't reach them at all. I had trouble getting into the apartment as well. The sofa bed is not comfortable and it would've been perfect if a third bed was provided. The shower drain didn't work properly and often we found ourselves in a puddle of water if taking a longer shower. No garbage bags were provided.

• Tobias (6/5): Good for two, bad for three - Close to subway, safe neighborhood, clean, fully equipped kitchen, newly renovated, nice bathroom, nice smelling towels. We did not receive clear instructions on how to find and enter the apartment. When I tried to get help by calling the phone number that was sent to us I received the message that the number did not exist! When I wrote a message the manager quickly responded (which was good!) but sounded a bit annoyed suggesting that I did not read the instructions (which I had not received). Also, he himself did not know the house and told me not to enter the back garden when in fact access to the apartment was through the back garden. The apartment was rented for 3 people, but the sofa bed was impossible to sleep on. It consisted of a metal structure and a very thin (1 inch) cover. Metal bars stuck through the cover. I ended up sleeping on the floor which negatively affected my stay in Berlin. There was no response to my email asking for something thicker than the 1 inch cover. Also, the coffee maker didn’t work. And a minor point: the lid of the water boiler did not close

• Agnieszka (6/5): Pleasant - The flat is located in a nice neighborhood,with lots of restaurants and a train station nearby. The room was clean and the instructions to get there were clear and the host was quick with replying to our messages and questions. We booked the flat Meedo I but were staying in Meedo 3,which turned out to be much smaller and felt quite claustrophobic for the three of us staying there. There were only two chairs, so one of us had to sit on the bed. The sofa/bed on the floor was very wonky and uncomfortable to sleep on.
• Benjamin (8/5): Good place with great connectivity for a short stay in Berlin - Location was very good, being right next to a Metro station. The apartment was overall quite comfortable, with all necessary amenities for a short stay. Host always responded to questions in a prompt and polite manner. The shower drain was a bit clogged, so water tended to back up; I think that drain should be serviced. The extra bed we were provided with was not very comfortable, unfortunately. Also, I would have appreciated if the host had shown more flexibility with the check-in time. Me and my fellow guests made it earlier than expected to the property, but we had to loiter around with our luggage until check-in time. Granted, the host was always very clear about the fact that early check-ins were not allowed, but more flexibility would have helped a lot.
• Robert (9/5): Clean, comfortable and a great location - The studio is spotlessly clean. The kitchen is very well appointed if you want to do self catering. The fold down sofa bed is very comfortable. The host is immediately responsive by text if there are any check in problems. It is an excellent location with the U7 right across the street . And the DB and S trains about a five minute bus ride away . The U7 across the street has no escalators or elevators to the street level. There was some confusion as to which of the three lockboxes the keys were in. It took three tries with help via text from the host. They were in that last of the three. The lockboxes are not in a locker. They’re in a bike rack in front of the restaurant. Lack of information in English about using the TV/Wi-Fi and the washer dryer combination.
• Olarenwaju (2/5): could be better - the location of the building was near a train station hence we left early in the morning and came back as late as we could as neither television nor broadband was working. the bathroom was neat and has both cold and hot water working properly 1. the location of the key was in a very dark place not under the light pole as indicated. a local person found the key box for us as we could not locate it following the description. 2. When we entered the bed was very high up and very scary to climb up to. the bed was also very close to the lights on the roof which is not healthy. 3. The broad band that was given did not exist. there were 2 televisions but none of them was working. we were to take the bins and we had to travel with the bottles over a long distance before disposing the bins. This needs to be checked
• Mio (2/5): Fix the key system please :) - Cute place, having an option to cook food was nice. The neighborhood parks and restaurants was amazing. The main reason we wouldnt reccomend this place is the key system. The keybox and password system was broken to put it lightly. You're supposed to be emailed a password for a keybox which we just didn't get, and calling them was not an option, since the number on the listing is disconnected. We had to call booking.com customer service 4 seperate times for them to middle man communications between us, despite us trying to communicate directly through the chat feature. At the end of the stay, the keyboxes were gone and with radio silence from the other end, we had to ask booking.com to middle man again.

• Auguste (9/5): We were happy with our stay - There was a situation with our booked facility and a week in advance the host suggested to accommodate us at the another apartment in East Berlin. We believe it was an upgrade and we did enjoy the new location a lot. The code of the door and the wifi password provided was not correct, however we got contacted by a responsible person by Whats Up, who was always reachable and responding in a blink of an eye. The only reason why the grade is not reaching maximum is the check out time. We are fine with loading the dishwasher and talking out the trash as we were asked, however the check out time at 10:00 in the morning just makes it too cheeky. Keeping in mind that check in is late - 16:00 o'clock.
• Mauro (7/5): We were happy with the place, easy to find and we had all we needed really near. - The apartment has a few restaurant next to the entrance, its 2/3 blocks away from supermarket (Lidl/Netto), one block from the underground. We used the city bikes and was really easy to get to the place. Overall we were happy with the apt. The place inside to throw the trash was closed with key, we had to go out to the street to disposse our bags.

• Heather (1/5): Bad - I was not able to get access to this property. The instructions I was sent were completely wrong, relating to lock boxes and electronic locks that had not been working for several weeks, which the host knew. My calls to the phone number provided told me the phone was not connected. It was dark and -2°C and I tried for half an hour to get hold of the host.. And eventually had to get a radio to a nearby expensive hotel. Later email correspondence with them tried to blame me, saying the didn't have a photo of me, but I had filled in the online check in and was registered and they had my passport details and my home address etc etc and my credit card details. I think I was scammed
• Wilfried (6/5): Pleasant - A lot of the information about the room on the website was outdated or simply wrong. The online communication in English and in bad Dutch (translated by a robot?) didn't go smoothly. We texted to a phonenumber (available online) for Meedoo I but didn't get any replies. It was not clear that we had to use the booking.com app to communicate with the owner?/the person in charge?/the company in charge? of the room. The rules for the guests in the room seemed outdated. Check-in form and access - filling out the check-in form ahead of time was confusing, not clear, not confirmed - the instruction that it should be done on time : nothing happened? Why the deadline? - we never got an email to pay a deposit of €150 (?) which would be refunded after we left. - receiving the codes for the key to the entrance between 11a.m. and 12 p.m. on the day of our arrival: didn't happen ?? - finally somebody contacted us that a person would be waiting for us - our train arrived about 1,5 hours too late: it was nice that someone was waiting to meet us. - the keycode to the door of the room: he had to try about 4 different codes before it was the right one - the code was much too long (13 digits) for easy use - every time we opened the door using this coded handle, the cover came off The garden There was no garden, a lot of dumped building materials, bikes, weeds The room - nice bathroom, tidy enough, very slippery shower (dangerous), clean towels, enough toiletpaper, detergents, hairdryer - kitchen & appliances: we used the sink, the laundrymachine, the countertop. - we used the cookingstove once, the toplight and extraction fan didn't work and were damaged. - no dishcloth, no teatowels - the cooking- and eating utensils are minimal but OK.
• Agnieszka (4/5): Difficult communication and lower standard than expected - The sheets and towels were clean and fresh, the apartment was clean too. The check in process was a disaster that resulted in half of our group falling sick! We have received all the self check in information from Meedo as well as a super long list of house rules, followed by a vague message asking us about our arrival time "because the colleague needs to give you the key". We have replied that we're experiencing car issues and will be arriving late, around midnight - to which we received no reply. We arrived at midnight during POURING RAIN and tried to open the self check in box as per instructions - turned out it was broken and not working. We've spent 15 minutes in the rain trying to open it before we called the owner - we got a reply that this is why they asked us about an arrival time so someone could give us a key. NOBODY INFORMED US BEFOREHAND THAT THE SELF CHECK IN LOCK WAS BROKEN. We have waited for almost an hour in rain and cold before someone came over and gave us the apartment key - all our clothes and belongings were soaking wet. In the apartment it turned out that many furniture were damaged and in worse condition than advertised on the site - the sofa on which one person was supposed to sleep lacked half of the parts and was just lying on the floor with a bedsheet put on it - not even a place to sit! Some of the power sockets also looked dangerous, as if ripped out of the wall and put back together. The drawers in the bathroom were also heavily damaged and the window in the bathroom was leaking water even though it was closed - thus wetting our belongings once again. We wouldn't recommend staying there if you hope for a calm and uneventful stay.
