Guest Reviews

- Hoang Minh (10/5): - The property was clean, all amenities worked well. The location was great, and very accessible.

- Stefan (5/5): Needs renovation - For the money it had everything I needed for one night. The floor in the kitchen was bad. Really small apartment. Outside the floor had a lot of rotten wood. I accidentally walked on one and it broke under my feet, I got lucky to not get an injury.

- Nidia (8/5): Good value for the price - This place is in a good location in London and it was a good value for money. It was comfortable stay for 3 people, had a nice shower, small kitchenette and was well organised. It could be an excellent place with some maintenance and effort put into it. Nowadays, it doesn't cost a lot to replace a mattress or a small pull out sofa (both extremely worn out and in bad condition) just for a little extra comfort for guests. Or to do a bit of touching up, it would matter a lot to a guest with minimal effort for a host.
- Mandy (6/5): Odeur d’humidité gache l’appartement - L’emplacement L’odeur d’humidité, l’absence de fenetre
- Jacob (9/5): Good location and ideal for a one night stay between travelling. - Good location in the heart of Brick Lane and walking distance to Liverpool St station. I couldn't really fault anything with this property, it did the job for a one night stay.

- Jakub (7/5): Polecam dla kogoś kto potrzebuje dobrej lokalizacji, nie przeszkadza mu piwnica bez okien i potrafi znieść trudne warunk - Lokalizacja była zdecydowanie największym atutem. Pościele i ręczniki były czyste. Sprzęty kuchenne działały bez zarzutu. Ciepła woda do kąpieli. Klimatyzacja i kaloryfer działały bez zarzutu.

- amber (10/5): I would stay again - The location was perfect for me and being in the basement, it was nice and snug, pretty quiet. I loved the decor, the cuteness of the space and I had enough room to do yoga which was great. The shower was really hot and came with all the toiletries needed to wash. The only thing I would say is, the pillows could be switched to duck down as I found them annoying but that's the only thing.

- Marta (8/5): - struttura pulita e posizione comoda.

- Emily (7/5): Totally fit for purpose, just what we needed for a night in London. - The property was as pictured, clean ands in good condition. The beds were comfy and the shower good. Despite being in the basement we were quite happy.
It is not not spacious, but very good value for money in central London.
Easy walk from Liverpool Street, and clear instructions on how to get in. The bathroom door didn’t close, and there was therefore not enough privacy when on the toilet. The air conditioning was a bit noisy.
- Corinna (10/5): Comfortable and convenient apartment in a great location. - The location on Brick Lane was so convenient for the event I was attending at the Truman Brewery. The property felt safe and was very quiet and clean. It was comfortable and it was great to have a kitchenette. There were no negatives to this property really - the only point for travellers to be aware of is that it is stairs only to the basement (no lifts). That was okay for us though.
- Corinna (10/5): Cosy and convenient apartment on Brick Lane - The location was brilliant for us as we were attending an event at the Truman Brewery. The apartment was cosy, clean and comfortable. The instructions and communication from the host was really clear and helpful. They responded quickly to messages and accommodated us very nicely. The only negative to apartment 2 would be that there are no windows so it was a bit disorientating - that said though, we slept really well without natural light coming in!!! We didn’t mind it and it wouldn’t put us off staying again.
- Hessel (9/5): Superb -
- Isabelle (1/5): it was aweful - I didn't like this place, and left in the middle of my stay The room is in a basement with no windows and there was clearly water damage because it was musty, the aircon had to be on 100% and the floor was partially ripped away. So the room was frigid. Plus the beds were not made. I went to the Hilton hotel down the block for the rest of my stay for the same cost, and annoyed I didn't book it beforehand.
- Fredcian (9/5): Very good and comfortable - It was very nice it had its own outdoor space
- Hakeem (8/5): Very good -
- Ilias (7/5): Good -
- Paul (9/5): Brick Lane - very comfortable and in an excellent location just a little small

- Doddsy67 (10/5): Great location, good value for money and super good service...thank you! -
- Higgs (8/5): Very good -
- Suzanne (6/5): Pleasant -
- Andrew (7/5): Good - Great location and comfortable Nothing.
- Tony (6/5): Brick Lane, bolt hole - Clean with good facilities and a comfy bed, although a 4'6. Quirky feel. Not easy access, narrow stairway, basement location.
- Andrew (7/5): Good -
- Adam (8/5): Very good - We spent 2 nights here. 1 adult, 2 teenagers, was sound for us. Loved the area. Would book again On our room, with the outside decking area, needs refurbishing, not a problem for us but definitely something to look at
- Chris (7/5): It was ideally situated for what we wanted to do in London - Location, quiet, very private No windows, smell of damp; this was a basement room
- Rita (7/5): a good experience with a very good value for the price. - It was quiet, clean, and nicely decorated. The location was excellent, making it easy to access local attractions and amenities. The room was very well equipped with everything I needed. The bed was particularly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. the bathroom, while clean and adequately equipped, was very small and cramped. The bathroom door did not close completely, which made using the bathroom less comfortable. Overall, still a good experience, but the bathroom could use some improvements.
- Volkovs (10/5): Exceptional -
- Grace (7/5): Good -
- Joerg (7/5): Good location, easy check-in but no basement apartment next time - The apartment was clean and big enough. The location was how expected, easy check-in. We didn't like the smell of mold in our basement apartment. Make sure by your booking, that you won't choose the basement apartment! For staying inside just for sleeping it was OK, but still not so happy about the permanent smell. Of course in basement you won't have some windows for opening, therefore you will never get rid of the smell and humidity.
- Lorraine (9/5): Superb - Very comfortable bed, shower was good. Great location for what I wanted. Would definitely stay again No bin or windows
- David (7/5): Good -
- Brigid (5/5): Great location but please sore out your damp problem - Smell of damp in room over powering my clothes stank and all the gifts of clothes I bought also stank
- Lyndee (8/5): Very good -
- Augustine (8/5): Very good - Very good host. Decent place and a fraction of cost compared to others in the area Nothing
- Gordinho (9/5): Superb -
- Dagmar (7/5): Good - The room was very private and quiet. It was very small for four people with luggage (but we knew that in advance, so no big deal).
- Joe (10/5): Great -
- Minakshi (3/5): Poor -
- Cristina (2/5): Very poor -
- Kirsty (1/5): AVOID this dungeon! This basement room is not clean, safe or habitable. - location was great unclean. unsafe. unhelpful staff. in dire need of refurbishment. Sold as a family room, but I was so concerned about my children in this place that we checked out after one night.
This basement room is not clean, safe or habitable. The smell of damp is unbearable. There is mold growing. The floor tiles are smashed and have sharp edges - my husband cut his foot on them. The decking area is rotten through and caved in when we stepped onto it. The outside space is filthy and there is no fire escape (which I'm pretty sure is illegal).
In addition, we booked based on 4 people staying (2 adults and 2 small kids) but they only made up one bed and only left 1 pillow each.
This place honestly felt like a prison. I have been chasing the owners for a refund for the second night, but no reply.
- Heather (5/5): Would not return. - The Wi-Fi didn’t work. The room was extremely small and the outdoor area wasn’t very nice, the decking outside was soft and broken so was unable to walk on it properly. When the sofa bed was pulled out if left very little room for walking around.
- Kirsten (8/5): Great little hideout - Small but a lovely room Wifi nearly non existent and the main door constantly banging closed
- Anonymous (3/5): extremely poor for the moment spent but a great location. - -wifi didn’t work and as in basement there was no service
- damp bedsheets and walls
- air con spat condensation as there was no ventilation throughout the studio
- shower was mouldy and shower ceiling was falling down
- faulty draws in the kitchenette
- telly had no signal -wifi didn’t work and as in basement there was no service
- damp bedsheets and walls
- air con spat condensation as there was no ventilation throughout the studio
- shower was mouldy and shower ceiling was falling down
- faulty draws in the kitchenette
- telly had no signal
- Simon (7/5): Good - There were no windows, but I am sure that it would have been stated in the description. my bad! And that is reflected in the reasonable price
- Maddison (3/5): Poor - Be warned, it’s in the basement so there are zero windows, no ventilation and it’s constantly moist in the room. We went out for the day and came back and the bedding was damp.
- Matt (8/5): Very good - Prompt response to WiFi issues was resolved within an hour and the general facilities were very well kept and clean. Decking was bordering collapse in some places and the shutter for the door window was damaged beyond use.
- A (7/5): Great Location to explore the city of London - The room was close to a main train station and underground stations as well. Many shops and restaurants, markets and most anything you would need. The room was comfortable and had most everything we needed for a short stay.
- Cheryl (5/5): Passable - no one from brick lane to contact at all
- Gemma (8/5): Perfect for a short stay in London. - The design of the room was very welcoming, shower, lovely, and powerful. It had all you need in a compact space.
Easy access through a key pad.
Lovely bathroom shampoo, conditioner, and hand-wash left. Also, tea, coffee, sugar, etc
Very clean and had a microwave and toaster, etc.
Location was a two minute walk from tube, fantastic access. We stayed for the coronation, no issues finding it. The area turned out to be brilliant, but when we arrived, we were a little cautious. There is an Indian restaurant on the opposite side of the street, and up a few doors, amazing.
The only real issue was that the room itself did not have a window or natural ventilation, which, given the design, couldn't be helped. We made toast in the morning and set the alarm off, lol. I would still return for a night if in London.
- Eamonn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Charles (6/5): Convenient for GCU London - Location Internet access and mistress was not comfortable
- Jurkowska (7/5): Good - Liked how it was quiet so coudnt really hear airplanes or people ouside How it was described on the photos as you couldnt choose the room with the terrace.
- Naomi (8/5): near the city and perfect for a night or so! - perfect location as only a ten minute walk from the main city. we needed somewhere to stay after our Christmas work party and it was great. Nothing comes to mind!
- Ttssfu (7/5): Good - pretty nice inside and comfortable and felt really nice , not perfect but comfortable and nice ! the location was a little bit odd because it was just a black door I
couldn’t find it at first , could do with a photo of the location on webpage
- Elysse (7/5): Great location - just shame about a few obvious things. - Central location. Unfortunately, I am a health a safety site manager so my review is fastidious. The smell of damp in the flat was over whelming. When raining the drainage system didn't work so the dripping onto the wooden decking was aggravating when trying to sleep. The decking should have another beam inserted down the centre part as when standing outside on the decking it didn't have any support at a certain part so if the wood was to weaken anymore, someone could and they will - fall straight through. The room, kitchen and bathroom itself was nonetheless clean though. Great location, just let down by a few selective things.
- Lisa (4/5): its ok if you only need to put your head down but you will need to look pass all the faults. - The location was good The outdoor area I would say that the decking needs replacing its no safe , and it is rotten.
The mattress is way to soft and the pillows need replacing as they are really poor quality, the sofa is not comfortable and you sink in it when you sit on it, as a sofa bed, and very low to the floor and again poor quality.
The pictures of the room don't match on line, someone needs to redecorate as their marks on walls and it looks untidy.
Their no working vent in the bathroom, no fire extinguishers and being in the basement it doesn't feel safe.
- Rickster (8/5): Very good -
- Charles (7/5): Good -
- Leasure (7/5): Great location, good value for the accommodations - Location was good - lots of restaurants within walking distance. Good layout and nicely decorated space. Bed was comfortable. Noise was a bit of an issue - neighbouring doors opening/closing were loud and our door would rattle at the same time. Tap in the bathroom was a bit tricky to deal with (either too much water pressure or not enough). Also would have been nice if there was a mirror outside the bathroom so that there was additional space for 2 people to get ready in the morning.
- Fernando (2/5): horrible - I didn’t like it at all, when we arrived to do the checkin the key wasn’t in the spot they said and we had to wait in the stair for one hour to someone bring the key. And the worst, when we were about to do the checkout there is a MOUSE in the stair, as the room is in the basement there was no window and any other way to leave and we have to go through the stair rushing because of the mouse.
- Pietro (7/5): Near a good location, but I wouldn’t stay here for more than 3 three days because there aren’t any windows and it’s real - It is near Tower Bridge and the Shard There weren’t any windows and no privacy
- Carlos (6/5): Fine for a night - Location (9 minute walk to Liverpool Street Station)
The bed and sofa are Ok The "studio" is a room in the basement (no lift if you carry heavy luggage) with a bed and a sofa.
Very bad isolation. You can hear the neighbours and every time the door to the street closes there is loud bang.
The toilet is in a narrow corridor, next to the "kitchen" (a fridge, a coffe machine and a sink) with no door.
The shower support was broken.
The pillows are insanely thick (I had to use the towels to sleep)
In sum, a mediocre place for the money you pay
- Stanley (1/5): I was never told about the £200 Deposit until the train down which I could not financially afford And I was not on the w - nothing didn’t even get there staff were nit good
- Iryna (7/5): Good - room is small, but space is good in it. there is everything that you need to feel comfortable basement, without windows and fresh air, strange smell
