Guest Reviews
- Łukasz (9/5): Spacious, clean, convenient location, good value to money. I recommend for families. - Good location. 3 minutes walk from Mortlake train station, 20 minutes by train to Waterloo station. Apartment is spacious for family of 4. Big plus for heating that was turned on when we arrived so it was warm. There is bakery and TESCO in the nearby. 2 electric sockets have USB-A port. Kitchen is fully equipped - including toster. There is washing machine and drying machine. Host is responding fast and is very helpful. it's hard to find something. If I would like to be very picky, you can hear planes flying from around 5 a.m. so if somebody is very, very sensitive to noise then might wake up early. Walls and floors are pretty thin so you can here neighbors in the evening. I would suggest replacing all the electric sockets in the rooms with USB-A or USB-C so if guest do not have enough adapters they still can charge their phones. But all of these are minors and we really enjoyed our stay.

- Alexander (9/5): Great south west London flat - The flat is spacious and well kept. It's a great location with convenient parking. In the morning we could easily walk through the park to a couple of good cafes and the railway station. We also liked the small garden. There was no provision of any shampoo, conditioner or shower gel when we stayed and one of the wine glasses was cracked. These were fairly minor issues but could be improved.
- Vita (10/5): Lovely stay, would recommend! - Lovely stay, the host was very responsive and helpful. Close to train and bus station, the city center is easily accessible with fast and frequent connections. Very cosy apartment, nice terrace, enough space, kitchen, location. The dishes could use some deep cleaning
- Blanka (8/5): Lovely little flat near park - Very near Mortlake train station, next to a park, covered patio, small garden.
Very clean flat, spotless bathroom, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, good communication with hosts. In my opinion some furniture ( armchairs particularly) are dated and property would be much better without them.
Blind in bathroom would make guests more comfortable.
- Giulio (8/5): Excellent value for money, with *minor* issues if you are a light sleeper: - The hosts were approachable, polite and available. The apartment was squeaky clean. The apartment had everything one may need (from microwave to washing machine and coffee maker). A couple of electrical outlets have USB-A ports, which simplify recharging electronic devices without the need for a UK adapter. The beds are comfortable, but the double one is narrower than a regular size one. If you are not small or do not like to sleep glued to your partner, you may not rest as well as you'd like.
Also - depending on the wind direction - the apartment may be under the landing approach to Heathrow airport. The noise is not too bad (comparable to a noisy car), but if you are used to quiet nights you may wake up when landings begin (early morning).
- Aidan (10/5): - Exactly
as advertised... Great location for our need
- Romina Simonato (10/5): - Pulizia e lavatrice e asciugatrice
- Arjan (10/5): Friendly and very special. - Very friendly and accommodating host - went out of his way to welcome us. Great apartment - very clean with all needed amenities, and in a great location. Had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay, and will definitely go back. Thank you! Nothing to complain about.
- Kim (10/5): FANTASTIC COMFORTABLE & RELAXING LOVED IT.. - Flat was spotless, everything you need. Close to Mortlake Train station, busses, shops, Dr's etc. The Tapestry bar is at the top of the road the food is fantastic
(do try their Steak) staff are fantastic. We've stayed at the flat 4 times now so we'd Highly Recommend it 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Loved everything
- Louise (9/5): Excellent Family apartment with the sights and sounds of London easily accessible. - The apartment is an excellent place for a family where you also want a good amount of space but still have the highlights of London easily accessible. Close to Mortlake station or a very easy 10 min bus ride gets you to both Richmond or Hammersmith where you can access many other parts of London via the Underground.
The apartment was clean, very well appointed including washer and dryer, excellent kitchen and bathroom facilities and even in winter we were very warm and cosy.
Highly recommend especially for a family.
- Kim (10/5): Fantastic Highly recommend 5***** - This is the 2nd time staying at the flat.
The Flat is spotless, great size, everything you need, very quiet, close to Mortlake train station, shops and park. Highly recommend booking. I'd rate this as a 5***** We was happy with everything. Thankyou

- Nick (7/5): - Good location for station and buses, getting into London. Host very helpful and accommodating. Lots of shops and eateries nearby. Neighbours upstairs noisy at 4-5 am every day of a 3 night stay. Also on a flight route. Not good for light sleepers.
- Richard (9/5): -

- Raul (10/5): Genial todo fenomenal - Genial Genial
- Agnes (8/5): - De ligging dichtbij openbaar vervoer.
Winkels dichtbij.
- Jo (9/5): Great location, great communication, would recommend - Location was great, very close to train station. Walkable to Kew Gardens (about 30mins).
Comfortable with plenty of space for our family of 5.
Kitchen facilities were good (although we didn't really cook full meals).
A great base in a quiet area.
- Lenka (10/5): - Blízko vlakového nádraží, ubytování čisté, příjemné, v klidné části
- Kim (10/5): Highly Recommended 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Another great stay Thankyou.
Highly Recommend 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Si algún día volviese a Londres, volvería aquí.

- Anthony (10/5): Great apartment - The apartment had everything we needed for our 3 day stay. It was well situated, close to Mortlake train station for an easy commute into London.
Bus services to nearby attractions, like Kew Gardens were also easy to find.
Shops were close by for groceries & a meal at the Tapestry Tapas bar around the corner, is a must for a delicious meal.
- Mark (8/5): Overall, a pleasant place as a base for visiting London. - Location is excellent. Easy to get to public transport (trains, buses). Shops, pubs, restaurants nearby for groceries and meals. Property was relatively quiet considering it is in a built up area. Easy to get to the Thames for a walk alog the bank. Host was excellent (he runs tapas bar very close by - excellent paella!). Could have had a few more kitchen items to make own cooking easier. Towels a bit tired.
- Kim (10/5): Fantastic Stay Highly Recommend - Maybe a blind on the bathroom window.
Otherwise all perfect stay close to shops and Mortlake Train Station.
The Tapestry bar top of the road excellent food.
Definitely recommend and will book again soon.
Thankyou 5****
- Margaret (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was above our expectations. Location was great. Apartment was comfortable and contained everything that would be expected. Hosts checked to make sure we had everything that we needed.
- Sarah (8/5): Very good -
- Yvette (8/5): Very good -
- Sally (7/5): Good - The location. Helpful hosts. Found the double bed hard and uncomfortable. Problems with the heating whilst we were staying there.
- Christina (6/5): Pleasant -
- Robert (8/5): Very spacious and good value - Primarily the location The two beds in the second bedroom were not as comfortable as I expected
- Stefany (10/5): Best hidden gem near Richmond and Kew Gardens and the Thames - This apartment was large and spacious, more space than we were expecting. The rooms and all bathroom and kitchen amenities were in excellent condition. The WiFi was fast. The back garden is a great sitting area and so close to the Train Station and park!! Loved our stay. Very comfortable: lovely!! Everything was fine.
- Balzer (10/5): Exceptional - Good location, easy to reach by bus and train. Near to supermarket, park, playground, Tapas bar. Very friendly host. Nice walks near Thames.
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional - Great location house spotless near bus and rail station
- Laurentiu (10/5): Great apartment 25 mins to Central London - Great apartment in a nice, quiet and green area. The Mortlake train station is 3 mins walking from where you need 25 mins by train to London Waterloo station. Also, you can reach nice areas by bus like Richmond, Kew etc.
Very clean and cozy, nice kitchen with everything you need. There's a Tesco express very close where you can buy groceries. Also, there are nice coffee places around.
- Danika (9/5): Superb -
- Joanna (10/5): Good value for money. - Quiet neighborhood, very clean, close to public transport, comfortable stay for up to five people.
- Vanessa (8/5): We really loved it! - The location is perfect! Not in the center but gave us the opportunity to discovery another part of London! what we really liked was the kindness of Jackson and the food of his tavern (right at the corner of the apartment). Living room is not really a living room nor a sleeping room as the sofa bed isn't comfy at all so we didn't use that room but wasn't a problem for us.
- Robert (9/5): Clean, comfortable, convenient - The property was well appointed and comfortable. I wasn’t interested in the view which was rather limited but there isn’t anything to be done about it. The property was overall very clean, with just a few minor points The only thing that wasn’t really up to par with the overall high standards was the liquid soap was too diluted rendering it ineffective. Shame really
- Lučijana (9/5): It was lovely! - It would be easier if there was some surface in the bathroom to put your things or your clothes on while showering or similar.
- Weronika (8/5): Very good -
- Lin (9/5): Superb - My family had a wonderful stay there for almost two weeks in Feb. Great location with easy connection to Waterloo and Hammersmith by train/bus. Flat itself is warm and cozy in a nice neighborhood. The hosts were super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!
- Lyubov (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was great- the apartment was big enough for our family (5 people), warm and cozy.
It is 1 min close to the train station, 15 min to the Westfield mall by car. And 1 min away from a street with pubs and stores.
And the tapestry bar next to the apartment has amazing food and is held by the landlords, which were very nice!
- Sue (8/5): Stayed while visiting family for Christmas nearby. Comfortable and clean. Good communication. -
- Innocent (9/5): Excellent - The apartment is smart. And easily accessible to public transport.
- Vaught (8/5): Very good - The place was comfortable, well situated for the rail and a good area for exercising. There is a really good kids park right behind the apartment. There are restaurants and groceries a close walk away. The tub is an ackward size. It is a 15 minute bus to the tube.
- Andreea (10/5): Exceptional - We've just came back from a city break in London and Tapestry Apartment (family of 5). I would recommend the accommodation over and over again. Ideally located near Mortlake train station, with direct view of a beautiful park where squirrels playing hide and seek gave us a great vibe.
It was already warm in the apartment when we arrived and this created from the start a very cosy ambiance. 2 bedrooms, a living room, a well equipped kitchen, bathroom and nice terrace made us feel wonderful inside.
Cherry on top, the owners are the best. Very prompt with messages and very welcoming at the Tapestry Restaurant, 2 mins from the apartment. Food was great, location was Christmas decorated , all the team customer oriented.
Please put Tapestry Apt on the top of the list when coming to London!
Jackson and Monica, thank you! We'll be back.
- Shulla (8/5): Very good -
- Maria (9/5): Comfortable with green surroundings! - Very nice and comfortable apartment with green and beautiful surroundings. Good access to public transport. We really enjoyed dining at the Tapestry restaurant with delicious food and very friendly staff!
- Jussi (8/5): Very good - Traditional English 2 bedroom home. Everything was as expected.
Very close to Mortlake railway Station. 30 min to London centrum 2 times per hour. Double bed was a bit narrow for two.
- Natasha (8/5): Great liveable base for a week in London - Great little outdoor area and the Green right nest door, lovely hosts and the best sweet potato chips ever at the pub! A few more items in the kitchen would have helped - salad / large bowl etc but when we did ask for a clothes dryer it arrived immediately so maybe we should have asked…?!
- Steven (8/5): Pleasant and comfortable apartment. Lots of public transport nearby. Limited parking. - I liked just about everything. The beds were very comfortable. Every facility you could need was provided. The house was clean and perfect for us. Have instructions how to use the TV. I didn't understand how to use the TV but we were able to watch Netflix. Don't lock the bathroom from the inside because you won't be able to unlock it again. Planes flying over every 40 seconds, but not much you can do about that but something to consider
- Samantha (9/5): We would love to come back for another family holiday! - Great location to get to central London. We needed to commute for a week and it worked very well.
Two separate bedroom and living room and separate kitchen - fantastic for family of 4! A small table in the living room would have been great, since we had to move our laptops every meal time.
- Pamela (10/5): Lovely apartment & excellent hosts. -
- Minnie (9/5): Superb - Location, 5 min walk to train station and supermarket and easy to commute into London and surrounding areas. Apartment was lovely and clean.
. The nearby restaurant was lovely and we had a lovely meal there. Having self catering facilities and outdoor patio area was great addition. The outside hall light was on overnight(which is excellent for security purposes) however maybe a blind/curtain on inside of door could have helped.
- Gabriela (10/5): Exceptional - We were traveling 4 teens and one adult. The flat was clean and tidy. Great Location, rear garden(patio), quiet place-near to Kew , Richmond, North Sheen etc. Very good distance for traveling to Central London.Lady Landlord was very king and helpful, thank you.
- Tony (9/5): Really great experience, will visit again. - Excellent location and just the right size for us Lack of TV channels
- Sarah (9/5): Superb -
- Barbara (8/5): fab weekend for concert at Twickenham. - perfect location for Twickenham Stadium. Train station round the corner, small high street with the village feel. Restaurant at the front was excellent - The Tapestry Taps bar. The accommodation 2 good sized bedrooms, nice size kitchen with all the appliances, patio to sit outside. the property was cool considering it was 28 degrees outside. we will be back. cleanliness- the doors needed a good scrub dirty finger marks.
- Jose (10/5): Lovely, comfortable, spacious; and a great location for a family with younger kids! - Cozy, ample, well-appointed. Can’t think of anything!
- Lai (9/5): Superb -
- Klaudia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nimbalkar (8/5): Very good -
- Anna (8/5): Very good - Nice apartment and good loacation
- Millar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emma (9/5): Overall fantastic stay in clean, convenient flat. - Perfect location between London and Heathrow with quick access to the Mortake rail station. Apartment itself was clean, spacious, nicely decorated, and offered plenty of amenities. Additional bed pillows, bedding, and seating in the main living area would not be amiss. Area rugs would also be helpful in quieting apartment noise.
- Chrissie (9/5): it near the station and nice little walk trough the gardens to the apartment we were 3 adults and found it loverly and - loverly gentlemen Jackson who came and introduced himself when we popped into the pub just after we arrived also the pub host was very friendly and helpful x lots of space and everything clean tidy and all provided nice little patio outside too x creaky floors but it is an old house 😊just a suggestion a reading lamp in the smaller bedroom would have been great 😊
- Ian (8/5): Will be back but don’t tell anyone sssshhhh - location for train, Twickenham and tapas was perfect all good
- Peacetraveler (9/5): Superb -
- Saiful (8/5): Very good -
- Jon (9/5): Superb - Lovely little apartment
- Hikki (9/5): Superb -
- Penny (8/5): Very good -
- Melanie (9/5): Great location with excellent transport links. - Great location, has a lovely park with swings next door for those traveling with children. This 2 bedroom property has all the amenities on hand that you need whilst traveling (Cooker, washing machine, dryer, micro) to name just a few. Beds were so comfortable & the shower was excellent. The owners of the property run the Tapestry Bar at the end of the street, we ate there each night of our stay. Their menu is extensive & their food was absolutely delicious! A huge thanks to Mr Jackson & his team for making our stay so enjoyable. We will be back. Nothing
- Rashid (9/5): Superb - The apartment was really good ,clean and comfortable. Almost had everything needed for the stay. Everything was provided well.Would surely recommend this for stay. The location wasn't good as it is a bit far from central london. Had to change multiple trains and buses to reach central london.
- Teague (9/5): Affordable apartment in leafy suburbs - Brilliant location for families in the leafy suburbs with a play park and green space right next to the apartment. Also sleeps 5, which is not always easy in other places.
Attentive hosts checked we settled ok and if we needed anything. The apartment was well equipped, so we didn't need anything else.
I was lucky enough to park outside the apartment on the road, but if there's no space I could have parked on other roads for free. Worst case scenario would be the train station car park.
Train station is just a short walk (5 mins) and gets to central London without changes.
10 min walk in the opposite direction gets you to a scenic part of the Thames.
Great value, highly recommended apartment and would definitely consider staying here again 👍🏻 Signs of wear and tear on some items, but beds were comfortable and clean.
Just inside ULEZ, but once in we could explore other areas by car (we had a rail strike on one of our days, so the car was useful)
- Gertrude (9/5): totally met our needs at a very reasonable rate. would stay there again. - comfortable for five of us. very convenient to train and reasonable. owners very helpful, and their restaurant is very close and great. had to allot time to get to center of London, but nice to be out of hectic center.
- Graham (10/5): Amazing - The location was perfect for traveling back and forth into London. Clean, quiet and everything we need close by.
The link with the restaurant is also fantastic with amazing food. Nil of note
- Anne (7/5): Good -
- Roberta (9/5): Enjoyable weekend with friends in London - We enjoyed our stay at Tapestry Appartment, we loved the outside patio because we had lovely weather and we loved the little kitchen which was fully equipped!! The fact that little things like salt, sugar, tea, coffee were in the cupboards for us to use was extremely useful and convenient because we arrived late at night. All the washing products were available too. The best thing about this appartment is the fact that it is only a 3 minute walk to Mortlake railway station where you can catch a train into Waterloo Station and therefore it takes only about 40 minutes to get into central London!
- Uisdean (8/5): Very enjoyable. the owners were very helpful with a lovely tapas.bar just round the corner. - very comfortable with a good location. lovely patio area. Nil
- Tommi (9/5): We can heartily recommend this apartment as a base for your adventures in London! - The apartment was wonderful for our family of four, with kids in their early teens. The beds were very good, comfortable but not too soft or springy. There was also a washing machine and a dryer. No dishwasher though. The place is not fancy like a hotel, but it's very lovely and cozy like a home. We loved it! Our host Jackson was always available in his tapas restaurant just around the corner, and he's super nice and friendly! We had many lovely chats with him. Sadly we didn't get to meet our hostess Monica. Location of the apartment is also excellent. It's just a 2 minutes walk to Mortlake station and from there you can get to Waterloo station in 25 minutes. There is also a playground for kids just behind the apartment. Both of our kids (12 and 10) enjoyed the playground a lot. The tapas restaurant is excellent by the way! We had dinner there several times. Especially the nacho platter was a family favorite for us.
Million thanks to Jackson and the rest of the staff at The Tapestry! You made our stay in London so much better. <3 There were some issues with the shower, but we were happy to take baths instead. The host responded promptly when I told about the issue. There are also planes flying constantly over the apartment to Heathrow airport, which might be an issue for some people. We got used to it on our first day and actually enjoyed watching the planes fly by. The front door is not insulated or soundproof, so some noise could be heard from the staircase. But I guess this is typical for these type of buildings.
- Paula (10/5): nice place to stay for a group of 5 - great location and the owners run a delicious restaurant right around the corner. a large serving bowl and some fans would be helpful.
- Sam (8/5): Very good -
