Guest Reviews
- Olga (10/5): -
- downie (7/5): Nice apartment for a decent price - Nice apartment within a 10 minute walk from Earls Court tube station The toilet and shower are really loud
- Blair (8/5): -
- Anders (3/5): Ok of you don’t mind some dirt and bad beds. - Fairly low price. Ok location (for the money). Ok temperature even though it was hot outside. The beds where really worn down, especially the bed/sofa. Ridiculous. Lacking bedsheets, had Ronaldo on a dirty mattress. The pillows where stained. Showers where semi-broken.
- Colin (7/5): Roomy and functional and OK -
- Van (7/5): Good - Its location
- Nathalie (6/5): Avoid - Well situated The appartement is not made to host 4 adults.
The sofa bed is not a sofa bed but some dirty uncomfortable cushions with no bedding anyway.
One of the single beds is broken
The mattresses are dirty and uncomfortable.
There is no coffee machine, no tea pot, only one tea spoon
Droughty and dirty.
It could be ok for just a couple who would expect not much.
- Anthony (9/5): We enjoyed our stay in London and had been out from early mornings to very late at night much of day was in the city at - In quiet residential area close to underground and shop accessible! We hadn’t far to walk to each 👍 Well we were pretty much out all day and when we arrived back at night we didn’t have access to TV the remotes didn’t work changing channels that’s all
- Georgina (1/5): Horrible stay in substandard flat - Location of flat was okay. Not very clean, mold in showers and SLUGS in both showers. No bedding for hideabed and no pillow cases for extra pillows. No proper instructions for stove usage or for dishwasher. Only 1 dish towel for 4 people for whole week, no dishcloth or dish soap. Toilet in master bedroom had float that stuck and kept running. Door to washroom in second bedroom was off the runners and would not close. No check out instructions. When questions sent via WhatsApp regarding bedding and towels, received a text back that what was there was sufficient for 4 people and that they did not anyone available to drop off extra. But 2 days later garbage bags were dropped off and put thru the mail slot. No instructions on what to do with garbage or recycles. Dishes were wet in the cupboard and not clean. Silverware was not clean. Pots were greasy and sticky.
- Lorna (2/5): Our stay was terrible nothing comfortable at all - The location was good but the property advertises as wheelchair accessible and it is Not Dirty - Moldy - unhelpful when contacted - no toiletries at all - not equipped with any sundry items
- Tracy (7/5): Good - Washer stopped working but no action from owner when contacted
- Sosoy (7/5): Good -
- Victoria (7/5): A solid, affordable choice. (Note: not for the mobility-impaired. But then not much of London is!) - Neighborhood attractive and felt very safe. Shops and an excellent pub (Warwick Arms) very close to walk to. Other tenants quiet. Plenty of pillows and bath towels. Showers are slow to drain, and could use slip-proof mats. Would also recommend places to hang things (coat hooks etc.) and some shelving in showers/bathrooms. Should post instructions on how to use the stove, as we did not discover the red "power on" button till the last day.
- Alfred (5/5): Passable -
- Steven (9/5): Clean convenient apartment for an enjoyable stay in central London. - Clean, looked after property.
Well placed location close to Underground and Kensington shops. Some building work was underway on neighbouring properties.
- Kime (5/5): Okay for very short stays, but you could do better. - The location was about a 10 min walk to Earl's Court, from there it was easy to get anywhere in London, the Southern Rail Station is only a 15 min walk as well. It was great having a large Tesco nearby, too. We were grateful Mr. Warren got us in an hour earlier- we arrived sooner than expected. The queen bed was very comfortable, having 2 bathrooms was convenient. The heaters worked well, we had a washing machine available, the traffic sounds at night were uncommon (a few car horns now and then). We also enjoyed the free wifi, and having a fairly well stocked kitchen - as far as tools and pans were concerned. When we first got there, the toilet in the smaller bedroom was not attached to the floor, so we contacted the property owner/manager- Mr. Warren. He was able to get someone out there the next day while we were out - I hope the repairs were temporary as the handyman just drilled screws along the edges to keep it from moving. I know a past review has a response from the owner that says the unit was updated in January, but it didn't feel like it. The floor boards are lifting between the bedrooms, the couch is stained, the vent in the queen bedroom didn't work (the smaller bedroom vent did), and since neither of the bathrooms has a window, the main bathroom was very damp after we showered. The unit is below sidewalk level so the sewer pump comes on when you use any water, and is rather loud. There was also a sewer gas smell that sometimes permeated from the queen bed bathroom - and again, with no vent it would sometimes smell up the bedroom. There is noticeable mildew in both bathrooms, that's just poor housekeeping. The shower head in the small bedroom is broken, the clothes drying rack was missing pieces, so you had to wedge the ends against chairs so it wouldn't just fall down. The clothes cabinet hinges are loose/fallen off, only 1 bathroom floor mat was provided, and no toiletries (as mentioned) beyond a single bottle of hand soap. We were woken at 6:30am one morning to the "low battery" chirp of the smoke detector. I did contact Mr. Warren about the detector, the vent not working and the sewer smell and he responded that he'd fix "it" before 6:30pm. We came home to the detector being fixed, but no information or feedback about the vent or smell. I realize this isn't the most expensive, upscale rental on this site, but it just feels like the owner doesn't care very much about the property, besides keeping it on the market.
- Melissa (6/5): Pleasant - Easy to get to and from the tube station and compared to other prices in the area it was so much cheaper The bathroom, very small and lighting is terrible,
Sofa was dirty and could do with a new one
- Enver (10/5): excellent -
- Allison (9/5): Superb -
- Stella (8/5): Very good and comfortable - Proximity to bus stops / stations and very good environment Parking is not available; Hence, costly to park away from there
- Gallen (9/5): Lovely, relaxing visit, feeling a part of the neighborhood, after staying in hotels in London & Paris previous 8 day - Charming building, garden & apt; great location (loved the nearby tube station & Tesco!); felt like safe neighborhood; enjoyed having 2 bedrooms & bathrooms; loved that there was washing machine; appreciated having kitchen/living area to sprawl out in after being in small hotel rooms the previous week; host easy to communicate with Poor lighting in master bathroom (no bulb in fixture over sink)
- David (6/5): Pleasant - Location, quiet, convenient to shops and transport. Too much light entering the bedrooms at night due to poor curtains.
Light above sink in main bathroom was not working, and some of the lights in the lounge were not working.
- Lea (8/5): 22a Warwick Mansions was a spacious, warm and conveniently located apartment. - Multiple light globes not working. Ensuite drainage pump noisy, probably common as it is a lower floor apartment.
- Patricia (10/5): Very convenient location to the tube, excellent property -
- Paula (7/5): Good - The apartment is in a good quiet location. Directions and access to the keybox was well explained. The owner replied to all messages quickly and we appreciated the early check in. The apartment was warm and cosy, and kitchen is well equipped with utensils etc. Supermarket is just round the corner, whilst train station is about 10 mins walk. Space in the second bedroom is rather challenging especially once the pull out bed is out as the bedroom door cannot either be opened nor closed. Bathroom sink drain seems blocked as takes forever to drain. There was only a few sheets on the toilet roll in bathroom and no toiletries at all, which were mentioned in the listing. Little things really, but could be so much better with a little care and attention.
- Aleš (8/5): Very good - Great location (quiet, safely, walking distance to tube, restaurants, ), very friendly owner, nice apartment with plenty equipment. Slightly worn furniture, apartment is more suitable for three than four (pull out bed is a bit awkward for teenagers) but you can manage for a few days
- Eva (8/5): definitely recommend - location & indoor space perfect for family of 4
- Anna (8/5): Very good - My sister and I stayed for four nights in January 2023. We are very pleased with our stay. We were allowed an early check-in and a late check-out.
The flat is very well situated near Earl's Court Tube and bus services. Walking distance to both the Natural History Museum and V&A. There is a big Tesco around the corner. We enjoyed nearby Warwick Arms, which is a pub serving brilliant Indian food, and there is a good Italian 100 meters from the entrance to the flat.
The flat was warm and cosy, we had a bedroom and bathroom each. Plenty of hot water. The kitchen/living area had all the appliances you could ask for. We felt very safe and secure. The flat is in a locked courtyard. Everything was very clean. The host replied instantly to messages.
All in all we are very happy to have chosen this flat for our short holiday. We would definitely stay again!
- Gt (4/5): Disappointing - The location was great! About a 10 min walk from the Earls Court station. The apartment itself has a ton of potential, it just needs an overhaul and some TLC. It does provide beds and basic necessities, however, it's very stale and uncomfortable. The beds are very old. The couch is old and stained and we did not need to use it but I can't imagine the twin pull out couch was much better. I can't see more than 3 people staying here long as it would be way too cramped. We were 3 people and stayed 4 nights (out all days and there just to sleep and shower) and we were done with the place by day 2.
- Michelle (6/5): Needs a little TLC but good location - Good location minutes from the main road with bus stop and supermarket.
Nice to have two en suite rooms for family trip.
Kettle was broken and replaced by owner without any hassle. Shower doesn't drain to keep up with anything more than a trickle of water.
Sofa tired and grubby. Could do with some homely bits like cushions and hand towels for the bathrooms
No small lights in any room either - choice was on or off.
- Maya (10/5): Exceptional - A great little place, with everything you need for a few days. Very well located (near subway stations & buses). Totally recommendable!
