• Laura (1/5): Disaster! - Didn’t enter the property We had been let down by another host so needed a shotgun stay! Booked in the morning and reached out to the manager/owner to confirm we were ok to arrive today- who read my message but didn’t respond. Sent generic emails with the enter arrangements including codes. Tried to use the code on the lockbox to retrieve the key (but had to guess which one was ours- the instructions said box c but no box c) and the code didn’t work. Tried to call/text/whatsapp. No response. Spoke to Booking who gave the 45 min grace period to contact them but still nothing. Until 5pm when they contacted saying they had sent the right code (they had sent a different one, but at 5pm) and no apology. We were in new accommodation by this point. Down right poor customer service- have someone available at check in time. Send the correct information and/or be accountable if a mistake is made. Never happened to us before in 10 years of using Booking.

Először is a szállásadó hibás számkódot adott meg a kulcsmegőrző dobozhoz, ráadásul nem azt a dobozt jelölte meg, amelyet a lépcsőházban ki kellett volna nyitnunk. A lépcsőház világítása csak akkor kapcsolható fel, ha a lakásból megy ki az ember, azonban a bejárati ajtón keresztül érkezve nincs villanykapcsoló, ami különösen kényelmetlen. A lakás ajtaját nagyon nehéz kinyitni, a zár akadozik, gyakorlatilag „játszani kell” vele. A legnagyobb problémát azonban a higiénia jelentette. A lakásban jelentős por volt, úgy tűnt, hogy hosszú ideje nem történt alapos takarítás. Az ágynemű nem volt frissen felhúzva: gyűrött volt, hajszálakkal, és kellemetlen szaga volt. A konyhában a lámpán vastag, régi zsír- és koszréteg volt, az ablakok állapota pedig szintén kifogásolható. A fürdőszobában csatornaszag volt érezhető. A nappaliban a kanapék ki vannak ülve, nagyon kényelmetlenek, a rajtuk lévő takarók pedig kellemetlen szagúak. A konyhai szék törött. A szárítógépben egy adag vizes ágynemű maradt benne, amelyet nem vettek ki időben, ezért büdösen állt a gépben.

• Gillian (10/5): Perfect central location. Amazing find! - Beautiful pink front door, loved the aesthetic of it! Perfect size for 4 adults, very comfortable beds! The location is incredible - 3 stops on the tube from Euston, walking distance into Camden but also out the way enough that it didn’t feel like the madness that Camden can be. Quiet, peaceful and cosy. What more could you need from a central London flat? Amazing host - very contactable and happy to help. N/A. Loved everything!

• Shelly (2/5): Please read reviews and don't book this place. - I wish I had taken the reviews seriously before booking this place. The beds were awful, just two thin foam sheets on a broken slat frame and by day two our backs were in bits. The lock code provided was completely wrong and after an hour of my husband and I trying to reach the host (with no answer), another family with the same issue luckily arrived and managed to get them on the phone. With two small kids this could have been a disaster. The apartment itself was not clean we even found nail clippings under the kitchen table and spills in the sitting room. Towels didn’t smell fresh and overall it felt untidy. Despite these issues, I received no apology or communication from the host. The only positive is the location, but it’s definitely not worth the money or the back pain. Please take the reviews seriously. I wish I had.

• Angela (5/5): It was bearable for the two nights stay. - We are quite fit and active and we enjoyed the fact that we walked from Paddington along the canal to Camden. The location is excellent situated nearly opposite the roundhouse theatre and up the road from Camden market. The hosted respond quickly when we were unable to access the lockbox. The instructions were not accurate on booking.com and the number of the lockbox was not correct so we had to phone the host who responded quickly. The apartment was tired dated grubby and could have been fresher. The fresh washed towels were still in the dryer and there was washing in the washing machine. We had received text instructions on the Wi-Fi and the television and yet there was no Amazon stick and the television did not work. We attempted to call the host to enquire about the Wi-Fi code and she did not respond. A brief instruction booklet would have been useful as one of our party attempted to have a shower and the water was cold. After some investigation we found the boiler with a switch in a cupboard in the bedroom. Two of our party were concerned about the lack of a carbon monoxide monitor in the bedroom with the boiler. The photos advertising the property are not completely accurate, the large bedroom contained a daybed with a foam mattress and some of the slats were missing. The other sofa beds were grubby and uncomfortable.

• Rebecca (8/5): We loved our stay at this location. Would definitely recommend it to other and would stay there again ourselves. Overall - Great location. Property was secure. It was great to have a washer and dryer. Cupboards were full of things to cook with. Easy access and check in/out of the property. The bed in the back bedroom was very uncomfortable as it was a day bed pulled out into a full bed. It was equivalent to sleeping on a pull out sofa where the bar digs into your back. A few more towels would have been nice and there was no hand towel in the bathroom.
• Rachael (3/5): Avoid, worst nights sleep!! - Good location Bed in main room was faulty, unsafe for an adult to sleep on. Several broken slats and collapsed on one side. We had to let our 12 year old sleep on there and we had the sofa beds. There was no bedding available for the sofa beds and they were very uncomfortable. I messaged the owner on the morning of our second day but she did not respond, I messaged again the next morning, again no response. She finally replied the morning we were checking out saying she would get someone to fix the bed but it was too late by then. We had 3 awful nights sleep, no communication until it was too late then offered a 10% refund. She did not provide the refund, I messaged several times with no reply. In the end I had to put a complaint in through booking.com, then we finally got the partial refund.

• Melanie (7/5): Colourful Camden - Location was fantastic. Plenty to see around Camden if you like alternative things. Modern Interior. Comfortable bedding. The stairs and no lighting up top of the stairs. For a longer stay perhaps more towels. Overall very happy with the accommodation and would recommend and stay again.

Com should not give these people any air The whole place needs a thorough clean and repair
• Caroline (4/5): Disappointing - The location was great. Pretty much opposite the Roundhouse. It smelt damp, there were damp patches. In a state of disrepair and wasn’t very clean. Underside of the toilet was disgusting. There was a pubic hair on the shower head. There were stains in one of the beds. The big bed was extremely uncomfortable.

• Ruth (9/5): Very convenient, well proportioned, clean accommodation. - Location, location, location. Excellent location in Camden, close to all facilities…. Camden Market 2 minute walk, bus stops,-very close as is Chalk Farm subway station. 3 supermarkets within 2 minute walk and the facilities in flat allow you to store and prepare food easily. The flat is quite spacious, 2 good sized bedrooms, good heating and lots of hot water. Lounge with TV. Flat has good WiFi. Very clean. This is a top floor flat, so quiet a few steps up to the door.
• Debbie (6/5): Great location, flat size good just needs some TLC to make it a comfortable and great stay due - Location was great Camden Market and tube on your doorstep Size of the flat for 4 adults was a great size and local shops for basic shopping for a 4 day weekend visit to the capital were great. Great to have a separate lounge and kitchen/dining area Sadly the flat has dated since the photo's on the site and some work is needed by the landlord. There was black mould and rotten window frames in the bathroom and rear bedroom (see photos) and a smell of damp throughout the building. Had to clean the bathroom before I was happy for my family to use. Outside pipe work had issues and water was flowing the from this during the heavy rain we had during our stay. Issue getting into the property due to the information email not arriving till after 6pm and we had a 3.30pm arrival time, wrong keycode given and the poor cleaner had to come out to let us in to the flat. Bathroom small but adequate toilet seat had to be fixed by my plumber husband before it could be safely used - no charge :) no extraction which accounts for the mould and no bath mat so tiled floor very slippery after using the shower... oh and no door handle as others have stated so locking/closing door difficult Kitchen small again but open plan to a dining area which was good …flooring starting to give way, the whole of the front part of the flat on an angle but this is due to age of the building. Limited basic utensils but no tea towels and water damage to the ceiling (see photo) TV, fire stick and WIFI did not work during our stay

• Jonathan (7/5): Lovely apartment in a fantastic town - Perfectly situated in Camden Town, with access to tube and shops in matter of minutes. Lovely cafes and restaurants nearby too. Apartment was nice and the separate sitting room was a bonus in the evenings. Aswell as the washer and dryer which was fantastic with two kids. Host was very helpful when we had an issue with the internet and resolved it quickly, she was easily contacted which was great. Nice little bolthole for our week away. It was a little rough around the edges, however didn't affect our stay at all as it's mainly aesthetic. A lick of paint and a few little things fixed and it would be fantastic. Windows didn't shut properly in sitting room, again didn't affect us much but may bother others.
• Davenport (7/5): Was nice but not worth the money. A lot of things need change or rethought out - It was in a lovely location. I thought the property was in an amazing location and was lovely however the white cushions had piss or yellow stains on the shower wall and around the bath had mold. The big bed was just 2 separate pieces of foam. The dryer was on top of a the fridge and as a 5”0 so I wasn’t able to dry my clothes. The c02 detector batteries were dying and kept beeping so we had to take the batteries out to stop it. I stay in Liverpool the same week and paid half of what the place cost and it was so much better.

• L (8/5): Perfect location, comfy beds, but a bit dusty. - The location was ideal, and the house the flat is in was very cute. The beds were really comfortable and it was useful having sofa beds too. The flat wasn't the cleanest and had a lot of damage that isn't on the listing, like a hole in the wall behind the bathroom door in the hallway. We were only really there to sleep so it wasn't the hugest issue, but would have been nice to be aware of this stuff.

• Christina (1/5): HORRIBLE! DON'T RENT. DIRTY BEDDING + TOWELS. OWNER IS A LIAR. - Horrible experience in regard to the condition of the flat and the way the owner handled it - completely overshadowed our stay. We arrived to a dirty flat - dirty bedding, dirty towels, dirty dishes - after a red-eye flight. No cleaning supplies in flat - not even a bar of soap in the bathroom or kitchen. We had to head out and buy laundry detergent, dish soap and soap and spent the next six hours doing laundry and cleaning the flat, which was in a disgusting state. The bathroom handle broke and our child got locked into the bathroom. It took half an hour to open the door and after that we were not able to even close the bathroom door anymore and had to use the bathroom with the door being wide open. The owner could not be reached first. When we finally reached her, she apologized and promised to refund the fee for one night as a compensation and asked us to send our bank information. We never received any money. When she finally answered one of our emails we were told that she could not remember that we had ever talked about a compensation. When we sent her the email thread outlining our conversation and the fact that we had sent her our bank coordinates, she ghosted us. None of our emails has been answered since. Worst experience we ever had!!! Don't rent and spare yourself disappointment and a spoiled vacation!!!

Fully equipped kitchen made it simple to eat-in & the shops were right across the street. There was no extra bedding for the fold-out futon in the tv room. Our kids did not want to share & the lack of bedding made that an issue.

• Andrea (7/5): good location, but the house is in a desolate state and needs renovation before renting out flats - the flat itself was bautiful and the location was perfect the bathroom door handle was broken and my daughter got looked in, and we had to dismount the lock by ourselves to get her out - and something with the pipes or drainage was wrong, there was a lot of water in the entrance hall downstairs coming down from the ceiling and that felt very unsafe with all the electricity running through.
• Ann (3/5): Poor - Location is good and close to family who we were visiting Poor cleanliness, broken door handle on bathroom door meant we couldn't close it causing privacy issues when toileting and showering. Mouldy grout in the shower and dirty shower hose. Toilet cistern secured with bits of wood due to newer model being installed. Mattresses on beds uncomfortable and old. Getting out of the building required an umbrella due to overflowing water from the blocked gutters, the path was a swimming pool and very slippy. The flat was tired and in great need of refurbishment. Thankfully we were out most of the time. However, the underground runs under the building and when a train went by pictures on walls and radiators rattled.
• Sha (7/5): The property is very well equipped even for long stay. Mattress and duvet cover is in white cotton as it suit us. - Location is excellent. Morrison & Camden Market is just a stone throw away. Host respond time is not immediate but be patient, as host does check her what apps messages and will respond. On arrival, we were short of clean towels and toilet rolls. Our responsible host immediately spring to action and had it sent over in no time No lift. A challenge for those with big heavy luggages as you have to carry it to the third floor.

• Lindsay (6/5): This worked for us but might not for people who are fussy about accommodation. - Larger than we expected. Very convenient location to transit, groceries, places to eat , Camden Market. Decently renovated unit. Building is worn, location was sometimes a bit sketchy at night (maybe not suitable for females on their own), skimpy in towels, old pillows, some questions we messaged were not answered.

• Keren (7/5): Nice wide appartement in a nice location. - Charming and big three rooms apartment in a very nice location near Camden market. At our arrival we needed to wait outside 50 minutes with no news from the owner in order to get the codes for the key's safe. We never got any reply to our messages to the owner. In the kitchen, lots of wine glasses but only one glass for water. Also, one of the beds ( the bigger one) had a very inconfortable mattress.

• Gabor (8/5): Perfect place if you visit London and don't want to stay longer than needed in the flat. - This is a place to stay if you visit London because it is located in a perfect place, on the Northern tube line, 20-25 minutes from the city centre. It is also very close to Camden City (look it up, if you don't know it) where all kinds of shops and restaurants (dozens and dozens and dozens) are available 7/24. The size of the place is grand. Even bigger than needed for a familiy of 4. We certainly suggest eating breakfast in the neighbouring (10 steps) Truly Scrumptious Cafe. Try the English breakfast and you'll won't need to stop in the city for lunch :-) There are a lot of drawers to put your stuff. The tube runs really close to the place and you can literally hear and feel its passage. We could sleep because we were tired after a whole days walk & because the tube stops running in the night hours. There were only 4 towels for the four of us, nothing to dry our hands with, and nothing to step on when leaving the shower. The usual thing in the UK: there are two separate taps for cold and hot water and you can't wash your hands like in a normal country. After a day we switched and started washing hands and teeth at the kitchen sink. From an other comment: yes the hot water disappears and reappers in a minute so don't panic. (The kitchen seems to be okay but we did not use it at all) WiFi was almost always okay. We did not turn on the TV. The place could be cleaner. We did not find hair and other disturbing stuff, but the notion clean has another description in our dictionary. Evidently the cleaners have a problem with glass surfaces (windows, mirrors). Also a full scale cleaning could help a lot. About windows: it doesn't matter that they are dirty because there is nothing to see when looking through them :-)
• Michael (5/5): good value for the price, but you get what you pay for. - like many of the other comments about this place, the location is great. it’s near Camden Market , Primrose Hill , Regent Park, tube stations, restaurants, etc. I went for morning jogs with some great scenery. Also, relatively easy to get I. to the place the first day assuming you follow the directions provided exactly. lastly , the owner/ or whoever I was dealing with thru email (via booking.com) was somewhat responsive, so great full for that. 1.) the larger bed near the bathroom needs to be replaced. it is extremely uncomfortable since there is a medal bar horizontally in the middle under the mattress with no box spring. 2.) the bathroom door handle is busted. I saw in previous comments later that other visitors mentioned it, however it seems to be an oversight for the owner to address it. 3.) the place was not clean. there were spit wads all over the place dried up probably done by kids. also in general the place was kind of gross. looked like an old bachelor pad I used to live in where nobody wanted to clean the house. 4.) the dryer was in a very silly place stacked on top of the refrigerator…you have to stand on a chair to get your clothes in and out. on the other hand I am grateful to have a wager and dryer in the apartment so better there , than nowhere at all.

The water tank in the toilet was causing us problems. The windows did not close properly.

• Karen (6/5): Fantastic stay in london , location wise the apartment is fab, however its the cleanl - Location of the apartment was fantastic, lots of space for the whole family to move around . Lots of lovely restaurants and bars around that area , real close to the tube station to get around london The whole apartment needed a good clean , the bathroom especially needed some work on it, The second bedroom with the kingsize bed in the mattress is terrible to sleep on really need a new mattress A light is definitely needed when coming up the stairs to the apartment ,there is a light outside the door of the apartment but is climbing the stairs before you get to the apartment. I know the property's are hundreds of years old and i expected wear and tear but the cleaning of the apartment really let it down.
