Guest Reviews
- Anita (1/5): I would not recommend this property to anyone - The apartment and facilities are run down and in dire need of an upgrade. It is not well maintained.
- Halliday (8/5): - Accommodation was as described, accessible to streaming services and WiFi, comfortable rooms, nice kitchen with most things provided No plugs
- James (7/5): Great location. Good value and Does the job. - Great location. Easy check in. Good value and has everything you might need for a couple of nights in London. Really close to the over ground and Hackney high street. Comfy living room with a massive tv Could do with some new pillows and a coffee pot/kettle.
- Beigli (4/5): If someone has not problem with noise at night this apartment is good. - One of the bed was damaged, the property was very noisy at night. We stayed 4 nights at there and the first night in the midnight we woke up with fire alarm in above flat, it was very noisy and we tried to know what happened. Finally we called to fire brigade and they came fast and solved problem. We couldn’t contact with apartment staff. We love TV but the tv remote had problem and not working as well.
- Danijela (1/5): Do not choose this place if you want to be sure that you’ll have a place to sleep in London or if you don’t want to spen - I guess it beats sleeping on the street… We booked this accommodation specifically for the 4 separate bedrooms shown in the listing. The day before our arrival to London, when it was too late to cancel, they let us know that we will be staying at a different address. I asked for the photos of the new place which the host refused to provide right away. I only got them after I contacted Booking.com customer support. This communication with the host was by far the worst I’ve ever experienced.
We were sure happy to find out that our accommodation exists after a long and bumpy flight from Croatia, but the joy died as soon as we unlocked the front door. A bunch of mail was on the floor indicating that no one’s been there in a while. There is dust everywhere, fridge has a foul smell. There are questionable stains on the carpet, the walls are stained, light switches broken, and some digusting hair clinging to the wall beside the toilet bowl, and much more!
The worst part is when we realised that the 4th bedroom here is a living room, which would’ve been absolutely fine if there were any bedsheets to be found for the couch!!!
We arrived in the middle of the Storm Darragh to a cold apartment. One of the rooms was especially freezing cold because of all the wind that was coming through the old windows that really don’t serve their purpose anymore.
I wouldn’t recommend this place to absolutely anyone!
- D'innocenti (8/5): Very good - Location was good and the house was big and clean We struggled with the heater and hot water for a couple of hours upon our arrival, but the staff was very helpful.
- Carlos (8/5): Hackeney a nice surprise - Hackeney was a lovely town, had several places to eat and very well connected. The house has a nice distribution and WiFi was superb. We were not sure if the sheets were clean or not so we wash them. Also fridge had a bad smell so we clean it. The kitchen had the button of the oven broken just for recording purposes.
- Parul (1/5): Bad - Location easy to find public transport such as bus etc The toilet doors didn't have any lock and no fans given during hot weather and thats was rudly ignored by staff
- Sharif (4/5): Disappointing - Three bedrooms It was not clean
- Badar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wilson (6/5): A nice property but garden furniture to enjoy the weather outside would have been nice - A garden with no garden furniture to sit outside made no sense
- Gordon (7/5): Decent property and fairly well located - Good size accommodation and good location .
Nice secluded rear yard Possibly some furniture for the yard, shower riser rail instead of fixed mount ( shower hits you right in the face or the rear wall .) TV was difficult to operate using the remote control .
Curtains in both double bedrooms could do with hanging properly
- Sarkawt (4/5): Disappointing -
- Bence (5/5): It’s bad, even for the low price. - It was cheap. Overall used apartment, needs some renovation, was really cold in the evenings, only one toilet paper for four people, you can hear the neighbours so much, bad smell when you step in the building(like rotten fish). Tried to communicate with the owner, they never replied.
- Paul (7/5): It was a delightful stay for my family and I despite the few drawbacks. - Liked the location of accommodation and how convenient to access all the important areas of the town. The facilities provided for self-catering were also well thought out. The bathroom door had no lock thus compromising privacy. The television did not work throughout the duration of stay. The heaters could not be put on because we had no idea how that can be done.
- Dan (6/5): Okay, but too many faults - The apartment was clean. Bus 242 was 3 minutes away and it took us straight to center of London. 45 minutes bus trip is okay. Even okay walking distance to Hackney Central overground which reduces the trip to center to about 30 minutes.
The bathroom was good, had what it needed and clean. Firstly we didn't get the pin for the key box and the 2 numbers that were sent to us in the message on the arrival day didn't work. One failed to ring and one wasn't picked up. The number inside the booking information was picked up and we got in.
But we were 5 people and there were only 3 bath towels of which all were wet after the washing, though it seemed and smelled clean.
Then there were not all you wanted in the kitchen... Not enough for 5 people that the apartment is rated for. Pots and pans were in bad condition.
Not enough glasses for all, no clean sponge's to clean the dishes.
Then the bed in the room pointing towards the clifden road was broken. Kept falling down and we had to support the frame with two of the pots from the kitchen. We wrote the owner the first night but didn't hear back from them. So we had to buy extra towels ourselves.
The TV was nice to have but the remote was not good... Didn't work on many of the buttons. Luckily I had infrared in my phone and found an app that could control the TV.
Small things could be done for this apartment to get a better rating... Small fixes to the kitchen, the kitchen appliances and accessories, fixing the broken bed. And making sure that there are towels for all, and a towel for wiping hands in the bathroom. And the responding to our messages.
- Paula (5/5): ok but property needs small repairs soon to ensure safety (ie broken lock on bathroom door and fire door non existent as - size was good for what I needed as a foster mum of 3 fire door missing from lounge/upper floor! the door was stored behind the single bedroom door , which fell on me when opening the door with broken handle into single bedroom.
- Muhamad (6/5): it was ok and would stay there again. - its clean , easy to find and spacious , i didnt like that they did not provide us with the cooking utensils like , knives, rice cooker , kettle (provided but dirty). the time taken to reply the message was also quite long ,
- Joel (10/5): The property provides everything whe expected the clean kitchen, bedrooms and bathroom, - Tge property is very clean and accessible for public transfort, queit and safe. Definitely book again next time Non at all
- Artism (8/5): Very good -
- Jacqueline (5/5): Passable - Outdoor space Very basic facilities. 2clocks that needed batteries. Oven temperature dial broken.. no info re recycling, used to 4diffent bins so unsure about just 1bin. Light in passageway flickers, not good for an epileptic. Main room needs a lamp. Info pack re busses, underground, facilities etc needed. Buy 2plastic chairs for the back yard would make a lot of difference, cost to you would be minimal but feedback would be great.
- Juliet (8/5): Basic but clean and comfortable - We loved the Hackney area. The house was basic but comfortable. Missing a few key items but otherwise had what we needed. Nice and clean. Comfortable beds and couch. Missing some key items like tea towel, chopping knife, chopping board. No furniture in courtyard.
- Shanon (6/5): Pleasant - Good location and relatively spacious One of the beds was lumpy, the ceiling of the bathroom was mouldy, walls were paper thin so you could hear other flats. Cleaner arrived early and said check out was at 9am, despite it saying 12 pm on booking.com
- Karen (7/5): ok for the purpose of our trip - nicely located in a friendly neighborhood. with plenty of restaurants and shops. easy acces to all major attractions in London. fiendly and helpful staff. basic interior. everything is there but out-dated. Garden is just tiles so do not expect to sit there.
