Guest Reviews
- Jose Carlos (8/5): -
- Irene (9/5): Highly recommend! - Location, clean, “real London house” not hotel. Had basic kitchen amenities for short stay- for tea/coffee/fridge/kettle. Back back for 3rd bed a bit tight but was fine for child.
- Gertraud (10/5): Sehr zu empfehlen - Tolles Apartment und sehr gute Lage Nichts
- Rebecca (10/5): Great area, very central with transport close by. The accommodation was spacious, clean and very Eng - Great area, very central with transport close by. The accommodation was spacious, clean and very English which we loved. The hosts were extremely helpful with loads of information to make our London experience unforgettable, they even stored our bags after checkout so we could continue to explore the beautiful area prior to getting on a late flight. We would highly recommend. NA
- Susanne (10/5): Buzzing London at your doorstep! - Perfect location en very friendly hosts. -
- Bianca (9/5): Superb - Great location in a quiet neighborhood, near to bus stops (no. 14), cafes and restaurants, large room with comfortable beds, tea and coffee facilities, good wi-fi, welcoming and helpful hosts.
- Claire (9/5): An excellent stay in a lovely house. - Spacious, comfortable and homely. A lot of charm and very quiet. It was a little far from the center of London but we explored Chelsea and the bus was convenient.
- Margaret (10/5): Lovely relaxing birthday weekend. - Large bedroom with adjoining bathroom. Everything needed was there including a fridge, a kettle plus tea and coffee provided. Very comfortable beds. Very quiet road and a 15 minute walk to Fulham Broadway. Just excellent.
- Little (8/5): Very good -
- Ida (10/5): Amazing place to stay in Chelsea close to the city centre - Lovely, clean and authentic in every way. Welcoming and helpful owners.
- Dee (10/5): Comfortable, convenient home away from home in Chelsea - The Bockery is located in a charming street in Chelsea, and is an easy walk to cafes and restaurants, grocery stores and transport (bus and train).
The suite is very comfortable, with king bed (which converts to 2 singles) and an additional single bed, en-suite bathroom, refrigerator, tea/ coffee facilities, and ironing facilities.
We appreciated being able to open our windows for fresh air, and the heating was also very effective on cooler days.
The Bockery's hosts are warm and welcoming without being intrusive. They offered luggage storage on our arrival, and also offered to do some laundry as we were staying for 6 nights. As the suite was not booked following our check-out, they also very kindly offered us the option to freshen up and change clothes before our late-night flight to Australia.
I absolutely recommend the Bockery as a comfortable home away from home in London for travellers who want a convenient location without the crowds and noise of central London. Access is via a flight of stairs (which, thankfully, are relatively wide and not too steep)
- Alice (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kym (9/5): Superb -
- Paul (10/5): Comfortable, clean, convenient and friendly - Very nice. Comfortable room and very clean. Beds great. Staff fantastic. Great breakfast Last say more refreshments in the room. We missed those
- Margaret (10/5): Exceptional -
- Geoffrey (10/5): Thank you for the splendid experience! - It is one of the rare magical places where everything was simply perfect. If you want to experience staying in a real English house while in London, this is your place. And the charm starts with the owner - Charles is one the best hosts we have met in our international travels. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful, providing with the most useful information.
The house is close to all the main attractions and transportation, with a lot of great restaurants and shops nearby, yet it is away from the crowds. Extremely quiet and peaceful. You definitely feel at home there. I wish we could have stayed longer!
- Punt (8/5): Excellent apartment and very sweet host!! - Very cute apartment in Chelsea, we loved our stay. The host was so sweet and welcoming. Would definitely recommend! The 3rd bed wasn’t the most comfortable, however it wasn’t very bothering. On the wall next to this bed was a handprint, but those were the only things we noticed.
- Cardi (9/5): Lovely property in a great location. - Lovely property in a great location. local restaurants, cafes and stores nearby. Very easy to get to bus stops near by and head into centre of London.
- Ashley (9/5): Great value - Lovely spacious suite Few worn areas, but should not put people off
- Antonio (10/5): The ideal place to experience London like a Londoner - The place and the house met our needs. Located in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, well-connected and well-served by bus (e.g., the 14, taken around the home's corner, brings you everywhere!), the Bockery lets you go for hiking in London and come back in room to rest for a while and start again your trip without wasting time. Dr Charles, the host, is a true gentleman, always available and kind.
- Fabrizio (10/5): Lovely and comfortable place in Central London - A lovely accommodation in a period family house in Chelsea. Ideal for a 3 or 4-day journey. The bedroom was really large and well furnished. The bed was huge! The bathroom was good-sized. All promised services fully working.
Charles is a distinguished English gentleman and gave a nice and warm welcome, as he and Clive have been available all the time for any necessity. We'll be back for sure 😃 Nothing
- Jeanne (10/5): Great! Made French press coffee in the room every morning! - Charming place, very personable host. Beautiful area, easy to access public transit. A bit small but very workable for 3 people. I was traveling with my two adult children and we had a wonderful time sightseeing in London.
- Lyubov (10/5): Enjoy - We got breakfast outside. Room was perfect nice and clean
- David (7/5): This was a lovely room very convenient to the places I wanted to be. -
- Joshua (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fraser (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely room with high ceilings in a quiet street.
- Jenny (10/5): Exceptional -
- Honour (8/5): Fantastic location for a low key London stay of culture, great food and the best of British boutiques. - Perfectly quiet and secure location, just off the Kings Rd, great for walking into Chelsea and beyond. V&A only a short distance, as were some of our favourite interior / textile brands such as Penny Morrison. We will certainly be returning for both work / leisure, Clive & Charles are perfect hosts - attentive and on hand if we needed anything. Nothing, our needs were easily met.
- Onet (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marcia (8/5): Comfortable and convenient - Everything was good and as expected Convenient location - large, and well equipped
- Liesbet (9/5): Excellent location in a very nice and quiet neighbourhood. Accomodation was very clean and pleasant. - Despite our late arrival due to flight delay, was the host so kind to stay up and meet us personally. In case of longer delay, we got clear instructions of a key box. Nothing!
- Jun (9/5): Will stay again in the future. - Clean, spacious, comfortable . Nothing
- Barbara (9/5): Excellent stay - Location Would have liked a toaster!
- Anne (7/5): Good location. Pictures on line much better appearance than real life - Location and transport options are great. A proper wardrobe to hang clothes.
A proper sound proof partition between bedroom wall and owners room next door - could even be a wardrobe
Big room would have been better with 2 comfy chairs
TV difficult to operate.
- Margarita (4/5): An addition to the description of Suite 1 - We liked the cleanness, the bed in the master bedroom, and the location. Maybe these images need to be added to the room's description to get a more realistic idea of it.
Including the clarification that if you are above 50kg and sleep on the mobile bed in the hallway, you will have back pains because the bed is too soft and turns into a hammock under your weight.
The stains in the bathtub on the picture are from being worn out, the black dots on the white curtain are holes into the textile, and the red curtain is falling apart.
- Julie (10/5): Was just perfect - Facilities were great tea/coffee, iron, hairdryer etc clean and comfortable, great location
- Margaret (10/5): Really fun weekend in a lovely location. - Gorgeous big bedroom. Excellent location 10 minutes from Fulham Broadway. Really lovely quiet street. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Would definitely book again.
- Ben (10/5): Fabulous and wonderful hosts -
- Yvonne (9/5): The host was helpful and booked transportation back to airport - I liked that their was plenty of space for 3 people. There was a fridge, microwave, kettle, iron and board with laundry service for a minimal charge. Location to Big Ben and Westminster Abby
- Nina (10/5): Exceptional - The room is charming , comfortable and warm (it’s very important in GB)
Location is very good. Bus station is just in few steps.
Clive is very nice and helpful. He gave us very good advices. No kitchen (may be for somebody is important)
- Angus (9/5): Comfy and Relaxing Stay - The host kindly let us check in an hour early and allow us to keep a small cat during our stay. Nice and relaxing bathroom. Kitchen utensils available which come in handy for us to prepare breakfast in the morning. Short walk to tube station. Absolutely nothing.
- Louisa (10/5): ideal apartment in London - spacious, comfortable, great area with good public transport connections, friendly and helpful
hosts. everything was great!
- Matthew (9/5): Great accommodation, excellent location - spacious and clean, very welcoming host, close to bus stops Tube station not particularly close although good bus links
- Serge (9/5): Very friendly host, spacious room, nice and quiet area. -
- Gabriele (9/5): Superb - The very nice apartment, the owner Clive very kind and attentive. He lives there on the upper floor, he gave us all the necessary information for the exit and return home ... really kind and unobtrusive.
- Lucy (10/5): good price for NYE period - Easy check in and out. Big room, friendly hosts. Lovely walk through Bromptom cemetery to the underground.
- Avril (8/5): Very good - The owner was very kind. The room was large and very charming with a bay window. Good blinds and curtains on the window for privacy. Beautiful house in quiet street of Chelsea. Comfortable bed and duvet. It was very cold when we arrived. No heating in the room between the bedroom and bathroom so not possible to eat there. No sink to wash dishes in the kitchen. Not keen on the glass door to bathroom. No privacy. Towels not soft at all.
- Anonymous (9/5): Clive is an amazing and caring host. He lives in the premises and is available to help. - We very much enjoyed out stay. The appartement was cozy and idyllic. The only negative thing we experience was that the isolation of the appartement was rather bad, it was a little cold.
- Kristy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Monica (9/5): Good memory of a coosy English house - The house was lovely. The host, Clive, also was too kind and available for anything needed. The bed was really comfortable. The placement. Although the area was quite and nice because it is close to King’s Road and sorounded of fabolous shops and coffe shops, the underground is a bit far.
- Mary (10/5): an exceptional value for the price - Everything from the location, the furnishings, the bath, the host, the garden, the pup, and all the little touches.
- Marco (5/5): Not serious - Size of the room
Bed very comfortable They have not changed my towels and they have not cleaned the room for the 2nd night
- Tobias (9/5): It was magnificent. - Beautiful suite, nice bathroom, cute little balcony, friendly host! Nothing major. The kitchenette is a bit awkward because there is no water there (have to go over to the bathroom for that) and no space to really sit. But it still has everything we needed (kettle, coffee, microwave, plates and bowls and cutlery).
- Oliver (9/5): Superb - It was a cosy, charming and quiet place to stay with sufficient space and as a surprise a nice garden in the backyard. The only downturn there was that bushes grew wild and let only little space to stay outside. Generally easy to find and we got proper instructions from the owner. Communication was good and we got response in short time. In my opinion public transport were also in a good reach, buses and tube. I recommend a stay in this apartment and I am looking forward to return another time! We delivered breakfast to the property, would be good if the dishes could be changed as there is no washing machine/sink in the room; but that's a minor thing.
- Marc (10/5): Perfect 10/10 - The accomodation has met my expectations! Incredible location, treatment and comfort. I liked it all!
- Doungsamorn (9/5): Superb -
- Rui (8/5): Very good -
