Guest Reviews
- Asma (1/5): Bad - It is not clean. There are mice and insects in the apartment. It is smelly. There is no Wi-Fi. The owner of the apartment is not cooperative.
- Spyridon (7/5): Good value for money for the heart of London. -
- Abdullah (3/5): Poor - Only the location The apartment is very old therefore when someone walks the floor makes noise and the WIFI wasn’t working.
- Lyuben (10/5): Exceptional -
- El-azzeh-siekierska (1/5): I do not recommend unless the owner really make it look as on the pictures - Location is the only thing good about the property The furnitures damaged, very old, parts of material falling off. The impression was that it is not that clean. There were moth flying around. I did not like it and although booked for a week, decided to leave earlier.
- Valento (3/5): Extremely unhappy would definitely not recommend it to anyone - Breakfast was not included. We paid a premium for the location The flat smells, the carpet was grubby the furniture was old a very uncomfortable. There was no soap or cleaning features. No change of towels or bedding. No TV or internet
- Saskia (8/5): Very good - The location is fantastic, all great must sees are around the corner. Contact with the owner went smoothly and he is very kind. He also took care of extra bedsheets for the sleeping couch to create 2 seperate beds for my brother and me. The appartment has a low ceiling, so if you're tall you probably can't shower while standing up straight. (Nevertheless the bathroom looks nice and clean)
- Natalia (8/5): Very good - Location ,comfort and space
- Syed (3/5): The location was nice but not the value of what you paid for. - Location, accessible and in main Mayfair area. At the property only thing which is great was a washroom. No WiFi even I sent message but no reply. The property charged me for daily cleaning but nobody came for cleaning. There were no center table only top were laying without table base.
- Muteb (7/5): Good -
- Basem (3/5): Poor - filthy electrical kettle, bed liner below and
- Rebecca (10/5): Fantastic location! Great stay! - Really good quality for money and AMAZING location. Clean and very helpful and responsive hosts. Would stay there again!
- Nuvin (8/5): Great -
- Bushra (7/5): Good - Location No internet
It was not proper the device was tricky
- Dr (10/5): truly Amazing Apartment and It is at the Heart of London-with all facilities - We liked everything in this spacious premium apartment, which is truly at the heart of London in Mayfair.
I feel sad to read negative reviews before booking this apartment and I thought it worths a shot. I have now learned that some people would always finds a reason to complain.
This apartment has all facilities and of course there were a little shortcoming but hey come on, it is the best in London we can get at this price. None.
- Jeries (9/5): Superb -
- Cheryl (3/5): Wont be back. Great location, but didn’t live up to ‘Superior’ apartment - Location was great. Most things…..
Ad uses false advertising to get you in.
Nothing is like in the photos.
TV and skybox not connected. 4 people tried to get it working, even with host scant instruction.
If you’re going to have a tv then make sure it’s useable for people other than uk residents. Plus have internet available!!!!
The overall presentation was poor.
Walls full of marks, blinds all broken and hard to use,
no screens on the windows and being hot, with windows up, there were bugs everywhere. The lounge was cracked and broken. The utensils were dirty.
The foyer area was a bad impression that is not at all inviting.
The bathroom was the only part that was pleasant, but we would recommend a non slip surface in the bath as we nearly had an accident.
The washing machine was not working, that would have been useful had it been up and running.
For the last afternoon through to the next morning we had no water. At all…..majorly inconvenient as you would expect.
All in all, if you’re going to have a place make it look like you care about it, and your prospective guests.
We will not recommend or return.
- Rachel (3/5): Reasonably priced for location and accessibility, but not worth the mould and plumbing (leaky bathroom, flooded kitchen - 9A Avery Row has a convenient location. It’s within walking distance of Bond St Station, food and shopping (M&S, Selfridges), Hyde Park and some theatres. The wifi was good enough for us to make WhatsApp phone calls and text. The kitchen was equipped with spacious counters, a gas stove, microwave and mini fridge, and a small washer (no dryer). Unfortunately there is a pub next door, and both our living room and bedroom windows are just above where the pub customers gather to smoke with loud merry-making until late. So ventilating the flat to cope with the mould problem was difficult. There is no AC in the flat, only heat, and we had to wash the blades of a rickety stand fan before we could use it; even then, it’s three-pronged plug was broken to be two-pronged. When we first arrived, we spent an hour cleaning the flat. The kitchen and bath counters were already wiped and bedsheets changed, but the wood floors were sticky and we couldn’t do anything about the many carpet stains. The dishwasher filter was encrusted with black and green mould that we couldn’t remove. The bathroom wall and tiles had huge green and red mould patches about 3 square feet large. The shower didn’t have enough water pressure to be used, and the wall mounted bath faucet fell out (yes, the metal faucet came off) regularly so that bath water shot out horizontally. We had to draw baths every night and use bowls from the kitchen to rinse off. Few basics are provided (no laundry or dishwasher detergent or bath soap). The biggest problem was the leak from the washer and kitchen sink. It flooded the kitchen floors repeatedly and the neighbours downstairs rang our doorbell many times because their unit was flooding. We reached out many times through booking.com to our landlord but he would not respond. Building maintenance had to be called otherwise we were on our own to manage the plumbing problems; it seems this is a recurring problem.
- Brian (8/5): Very good - Location was the best, comfortable Bed and couch. Shower didn't work, Wifi was weak, and no drying rack for the laundry
- Armando (1/5): Uncomfortable and poor. Don’t stay here - only the location.. We had to shower with a bucket. They came to fix the shower but it didn’t work. The owner ignored our messages as we’ll as Booking costumer service. Extremely discomforting experience. No Wifi as well. And a mouse came out from the kitchen
- Ahmad (1/5): the worst stay we ever had - location only so many important things are not being solved from the land lord … and was noted by booking costumer service when I called them for the issues that we were having ( no gas … no heating … no proper shower … no Wi-Fi)… the pillow and the covers dirty and smells bad
- Steve (3/5): Don't do it. If you need wifi or tv or heat don't do it. - Excellent location. Just don't do it. All of the compalnts were still an issue when we were there. No Wi-Fi and we had a person working while there. No TV because it was connected to the WiFi. After 24 hours they told us to connect to the pub wifi below us. It kept kicking us off. Some phones would not connect to the pub. Our cell service would not work in the building. Dont know if the walls were too thick or what. We were without heat for 12 hours. The owner had not paid for gas. No hot water in the kitchen sink the entire time. The owner just said he didnt know why the wifi was not working. But we now see the previous customer also had no wifi. Very low water pressure in the shower. Booking.com was no help either. I would think some refund would be required with a major service like heat and wifi, tv are not working the entire 10 days. No paper towels or dish towels in the kitchen to do dishes or cook with. So the only up side of the flat was the location and clean beds. If you are ok not being able to communicate with no wifi or cell service then you might be ok.
- Abdulrahman (1/5): Bad -
- Rami (6/5): Pleasant -
- Penny (5/5): the apartment was value for money and a good location - the bed was very comfortable it needed a bit if talc the furniture was tarry . the wi fi and tv didn’t work . the hot water tap in the kitchen didn’t work and the shower was a trickle . no tea towels were provided to dry dishes
- Roberto (3/5): I let each of you imagine going 7 days without health services - Good location I didn't like the way to intervene on our problem, both of booking.com and above all of the property. They left us 7 days without hot water and heating!
- Paul (8/5): Very quiet considering the location. A few feet from a quick coffee and bite to eat. Great shopping with easy access to - Great size flat and location. Hallway and stairs could use a bit sprucing up
- Alharbiq8 (1/5): Bad - There's nothing to like ..
The worst place i have ever stayed in in London All of it ..
The unclean sheats ،
The little to no hot water pressure in the kitchen,
The noisy street , thear is a standing outdoor bar just beneath the bedroom windo and out side the mane door tou literally have to move past the people to get to your door ,
The broken washing machine,
The bad wifi that didn't last 5 days in my 11 day booking ..
It was advertised as 1st floor 10 stips to the door NO THAT WASN'T TRUE ,
i have the pictures and the conversation withe the appointment manager/oner to prove it all
- Abotarq (10/5): Exceptional - nice starting there clean and affordable price for location bar next to apartment
in weekend
close
- Bethany (4/5): For the price and location, the facilities were fair but not live-able for a long period of time. - The location was really great. Right in the heart of Mayfair as we expected. There was a couple of things such as the washing machine was broken (not ideal when we relied on this working after 4 weeks away), a broken fan (in the London heatwave - the air con provided was adequate but the fan would have really saved us in the bedroom), leaking roof in the kitchen when it rained through the light fitting (started when we were out and came back to the kitchen wet), the free to air TV was not working (only netflix available if you have an account), the dining table was not cleaned upon arrival, and the shower water pressure was absolutely shocking. For the price the location made it really easy and if the facilities were looked after and replaced, I would come back but overall, not the best place we stayed on our trip and would need evidence of these facilities being updated.
- Milorad (6/5): Pleasant - The shower has almost no water pressure and the apartment is run down
