- Roshni (7/5): Good - The balcony and the view is amazing! Would not recommend this neighbourhood if you are a solo (female) traveler unfortunately.

- Dave (10/5): Great apartment, great location - It's a lovely flat, beautifully furnished, and well equipped. I used it as a base to explore the city, and also to do some work. There's a massive shaded veranda where I spent most of my time, with a great view of the acropolis. Theres a good desk in the bedroom, where its good to work when want to avoid the heat.
The kitchen is good, modern, well equipped, and I self catered nearly every meal. Its a very self contained apartment.
I slept well, the mattress is firm.
The apartment is very clean also, as I am generally quite picky about this.
I was unsure about the area when I first arrived, but it really grew on me. Its a fascinating mix of opposites - posh houses, gentrification, street art, mixed with urban decay and areas of brothels, all of which coexist and you only notice once pointed out. I felt very safe the whole time.
A great place to stay. My stay was way too short and I only really got started to discover the area.
And I'm coming back soon! I liked everything.
- Asake (10/5): Peaceful with great views of Acropolis! - The bathroom was freshly renovated, very beautiful and great views of Acropolis! I had no idea Metaxourghio was such a family friendly diverse neighborhood in Athens!! I love vintage furniture, it’s beautiful and adds character in a space, BUT it’s even more beautiful when it’s refurbished.
- 沐 (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect place, I would love to visit Athens again for this accommodation!

- Marcin (9/5): Good times, close to everywhere, decent views, located in city Center yet quiet;) - Nicely furnished, personal kitchen, close to most of the visiting places. Nice patio, shaded and open. Could do with some heating in colder months, even just for night time
- Lovedeep (5/5): Passable - I like the weather Only missed there room heater and clothes washer
- Kristina (9/5): Superb - I'm glad I chose this apartment - it was cozy, clean and had an amazing view of the city. After super intensive Athens center it was always a pleasure to chill in the terrace.
The bathroom was good, adequate kitchen, good bed and sheets, I slept well, there was no city or traffic noises during the nights. N.B. the connection to the city center is fine - there is trolley and buses. You can easily walk to the center on foot, but for those who are not used to a big cities - the district you have to cross is not very touristic :) It didn't affected my trip per se, but I'm already used, that when travelling, there are kitchen towels, and at least a bit of supplies like oil in the kitchen and a shampoo in the bathroom. It's wasteful to have to buy those things on the trip, on positive note - I just hope, that the stuff I left will be useful for other guests :) But that's a minor complaint.

- Anonymous (7/5): Descent. - Exactly as on photos or facilities are there. Location is not the best one. Ac is not working properly so in summer time heat wave it is far from being comfortable. The elevator is just up to the 4th floor and up to the 5th you have to walk which makes your stay less comfortable in case having heavy baggage.
- Katarzyna (7/5): AC does not work properly - The terrace view on the city is just beautiful. Owners don’t really care about the experience in this place: I spent 10 nights there and there was not even one suggestion about changing my towels or sheets or taking the garbage out (had to do it myself).
You cannot flush toilet paper there, you have to use a little bin. Then you have to figure out where to throw the trash out (the owner does not care enough to clean the apartment once in a few days or to give that important information).
There was no complimentary water or tea or coffee. In the kitchen there were some old, not very clean, coffee containers.
Also after three days I had to buy toilet paper myself (got 4 rolls for 10 days stay!).
And they didnt care to change the candles for the new ones - I got used, old ones left by some guests who were there before me! Details that matter.
Didnt expect that to be a hotel, but still - even at airbnb they are more focused on the guests than here (I watered their plants on the terrace for 10 days, why didnt they get my trash out even once?).
There is no elevator to the last floor on which the apartment is located so if you have a bad knee, better decide on choosing a different location.
AC is almost non existent at that place - it is only in the living room and the cold air does not make it into the bedroom. Where it gets hot as hell and it is hard to sleep. There is only a fan that does not help much when the temperature outside is 40 degrees Celcius.
The furniture in the apartment could use some rethinking - some pieces seem to be really old (the armchairs and the chairs on the terrace) and look as it the owner didnt really care what the guests are sitting on.
Seem to me they care solely about making money, not about how people feel in this place.

- Alex (2/5): Scam. The owner is lending the property without electricity. - The penthouse itself was gorgeous. Location was fantastic - 10 mins to a subway station in Athens downtown. 3 subway stations to the Acropolis and the Acropolis museum. A full-scale grocery supermarket around the corner. A fantastic view from the penthouse terrace to the city. But. The penthouse had no electricity. Not at all. No lights. No AC. No working fridge. No opportunity to iron clothes. The owner was pretending to "working on it" and had asked me only once over the 6 days of my stay: "Do you have the electricity now?" When I was not complaining, she was not saying anything. The owner was not picking up the phone nor responding to the booking.com agents. The neighbor downstairs said she is not paying for electricity and a week before me it was another person mentioning no electricity.
- Miglcoelho (1/5): No electricity, no answer, no decency - There was no electricity in the apartment! I've been travelling intensely for 20 years and such thing never happened to me. Tried to call the host's number every hour, no answer, left messages, no answer, sent written messages trough the platform, nothing. Everyone else in the building had electricity. Lost my first day of my 4 day long weekend in Athens trying to solve this problem. Slept a 1st night without basic human conditions, thinking I have to go to a hotel, but I had already spent 223 euros for the staying and finding a hotel the same day is expensive in Athens. Food bought for the weekend was spoiled because there was no refrigerator. Could't charge my mobile or my computer, there was no wifi.
Received an email 24 hours after the check-in, asking me for photos of the electricity board (I had already checked that the first day with the help of several neighbours, scandalized by my situation). Sent the photos. During our exchanges, there was never, even once, an excuse, not even a nice word. The 2nd day of vacation was lost, waiting for a host's friend to call an electrician. He eventually came just to find out the electricity had been cut by the local company. The bill hadn't been payed. I sent texts "what is your plan?", "Can you still pay the bill today?"(it was friday). Host and host's friend stoped answering friday evening. Zero. Talked to Booking, they gave me a refund of 15%. Nothing else could be done. I ended up staying all weekend, feeling depressed and humiliated. Of course I still visited the Acropolis and loved Athens. Not everything was lost.
I ask: Was It a scam? Negligent behaviour? Lack of education? Or even worse, lack of basic human decency? The neighbours told me the host is a digital nomad in Bali, so she doesn't care. She never gave me a refund. I sincerely hope she will never be treated the same way she treated me. Life is short, you don't need this kind of bad experiences.
