Guest Reviews
- Brigid (10/5): Great location at the heart of everything - Fantastic Location.
Reasonable facilities.
Easy ground floor access.
Comfortable beds.
Great shower pressure. Be aware there is no possible option of luggage storage on the premises.
The 2nd bedroom only has a secure privacy screen, not a full wall.
- Sebastien (10/5): -
- Kahveci (10/5): - Location
Easy check in and check out
- Arkady (9/5): All in all a lovely stay. - The location was amazing, close to the metro, nice restaurants and all of tourist attraction. Dont call a living room with a bed "a second bedroom", and a second key for a group of four would be nice.
- CHRISTINE (9/5): -
- Brett & Sarah (9/5): - Fantastic location - just a stones throw to the Acropolis and a lot of the main attractions. Also right next to the metro station, very easy to get train from airport.
Easy access to the apartment, well communicated/instructions.
- Paulina (10/5): Bardzo miło spędzony czas - Lokalizacja to największy atut tego mieszkania. Połączenie z lotniskiem - super. Wychodzisz z metra i lokum pod nosem. Sporo małych restauracji, kawiarenek z bardzo dobrym jedzeniem. Bezpiecznie , cicho .
Mieszkanie ma wszystko czego potrzeba na kilka dni pobytu. Czysta pościel, wyposażona kuchnia , czysta łazienka . Wszystko było ok
- Svetlana (10/5): - The best location! None
- Leonie (10/5): -
- Piotr (10/5): - Doskonała lokalizacja obok wejścia na Akropol, stacji metra. Pomocny właściciel gotowy odpowiedzieć na każde pytanie.
- Giedrius (10/5): -
- ElenaDoblas (10/5): - El apartamento está super bien, tiene todo el menaje de cocina necesario y está muy limpio. Nos dejaron café, un detalle. Me gustó todo
- Dragos Dimancea (9/5): Convenient - Great location, just a few steps from the Acropolis Museum and very close to the Acropolis side entrance. The apartment was clean, the kitchen had everything I needed, and despite being in the tourist center it was quiet. I also found the dedicated web portal handy, with clear info about the property and area. A good, convenient place to stay. 10 minutes walking from the location is the FIX underground parking, which is the cheapest I could find in center Athens: 8 euro per day, The fact that I had to switch on the electric fuse for the boiler to start working when you wanted to take a shower. That took around 20-30 minutes to heat up. I always forgot about it... It's not the end of the world... it's just how this place works.
- Konstantin (4/5): The price clearly does not match the quality—this is economy-class housing that is in need of renovation. - The building is located very close to the Acropolis and the museum. The windows face the courtyard, so there is no noise from the street, only occasional noise and smells from the building's lobby. The main shopping street is right next door, but there is no parking nearby, so it was difficult to unload our things, but that wasn't a big problem. The apartment is already quite “worn out” and probably needs renovation. The photos on the website do not quite correspond to reality; they were apparently taken a long time ago. In addition, the rest of the apartment (which is not visible in the photos) has apparently never been renovated, except for painting. In other words, it is a fairly old apartment. The air conditioners are also old, although they work. The second bedroom is not a separate room, separated from the hallway and entrance hall only by a small screen. In the bathroom, there are traces of rust on the old metal pipes, meaning that it has not been completely renovated. There was someone's hair in the shower. The front door is very old, with a window above it, and does not provide adequate sound insulation. The furniture and other items are old. The refrigerator stands on an old board, apparently because one of its legs is broken. Overall, it was not a very pleasant experience, and we had to leave and find another place to stay so as not to spoil our vacation in Athens. The apartments do not have their own view of the Acropolis, only access to the roof terrace, but this is limited to the concierge's hours of availability, only at certain times.
- Virginia (10/5): -
- Theresa Dolan (8/5): - The location is excellent. The building was quiet. The apartment was well equipped. The system for locking the door needs improvement. The door can be locked from the outside and the person left inside will be locked in with no way out .
- GUSTAVO (10/5): - Da vista do terraço Check-in muito tarde
- Covelo (9/5): - La ubicación es perfecta para conocer atenas . Muy completo el.departamento. Estuvo todo bien
- Claudia (10/5): - Location was the best!
Everything was walking distance. Apartment was comfortable and the host was very attentive and kept checking in.
Check in/out was easy and smooth. Pillows were uncomfortable
- Lisasophia (10/5): The property is such a great value from it being conveniently located, clean to having an ambiance that makes you feel a - The property was conveniently located, clean and felt like home. The only challenge is to find parking.
- Wendell (10/5): Outstanding location. You felt safe walking in the area. Lots for restaurants right at you foot step. I could not have - Location. Location, Location Roof top to observe the Acropolis. Centrally located and in a clean and safe area.
- Devindar (10/5): Exceptional - The accommodation was spacious and very comfortable. It had all the comforts of home and allowed us the spread out and relax.
Nasos was a great host. He was very proactive and responsive to all our (numerous) queries.
The apartment was located so close to the Acropolis and the museum - literally a 2 minute walk to the entrance of either. It was also close to lots of cafes, restaurants and bars. There was also a metro station right across the road.
Can't rate the accommodation highly enough. Will definitely be on our list when we're back in Athens next. Nothing
- Teresa (9/5): Recommend this property - The location is central to sites and restaurants and feels safe. We had a little bit of trouble finding it and this is a pedestrian only street so we couldn’t get taxis, etc., straight to the door. This was also a positive but just a heads up. The property did provide a portal and video that would’ve been helpful if we had time to look at all of that before we arrived, but we were traveling and did not have time to
- Burçin (8/5): it was a nice stay with two spacious bedrooms at a great location.. - Location, space in the rooms, amenities need to heat the water before shower, air conditioning, lack of light
- Oualfa (9/5): Superb - Location was perfect, flat very clean, beds comfortable
- Larry (8/5): All things considered, it was a good stay. The apartment isn’t much to brag about, but the location is fantastic! - Location was excellent as was the view of the Acropolis from the rooftop. Restaurants were literally steps from the front door of the building. Rooms were clean. We were on the ground floor so there really wasn’t much of a view from the apartment. We are an elderly couple and they have a very strict policy against storing your luggage on the premises until check in time. They refer you to a luggage storage location that is several blocks from the building and requires you to lug your luggage down steep steps into a basement area where the storage lockers are located. Then at check in time you would have to retrieve your luggage and get them back to the apartment. I mean, have a heart people.
- Marija (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leslie (8/5): It’s a sufficient place to stay in a nice neighborhood with shopping and restaurants nearby. - It was clean. Laundry machine is available, with soap, however we had just arrived and didn’t need it yet. Asking for phone numbers or email addresses for all adults staying there could help. It’s hard to not have a receptionist. We arrived at two different times, one couple earlier than the other. I wish info had been shared with all parties, so they wouldn’t have walked around all day looking for what might be the spot. A true waste of time in Athens. There is no visible signage for the location, it’s just an apartment within a building that made it difficult to even request help. They knew the address, but nothing else at the door indicated they were even at the right building, since other places on that street also used the #3. Frustrating for certain! 10 steps from the acropolis is a gross exaggeration. Having to specify precise check in and check out times in advance is difficult. Delays happen in flying. Cat bites happen, urgent care visits, and the need for a pharmacy on a Sunday can occur. That alters the random precise times stated, and even the manager told me our check out time change could work the night before, but neglected to tell the one coming in to clean after our check out. She was irritated we hadn’t left yet and kept telling us we were to be out at 9:00am, when the original time stated was 11:00am. It’s also uncomfortable leaving keys inside the room with the door unlocked. Any damage could be claimed and blamed on the renter with that procedure.
- Robert (6/5): I know this is Greece but there should be english speaking host on site. - location wa sgreat for our needs. Demonstrations several day disrupting things we planned to do.
- Filipus (8/5): Need better maintenance - Location Bathroom
- Steph (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing location, views of the Acropolis from outside the building. Restaurants just outside the building as well. Washing machine in the bathroom was a bonus.
- Alparslan (10/5): A facility I would definitely recommend - First of all, the facility is in a very central location. There are many cafe restaurants right next to you. Very close to the metro stop. Walking distance to Acropolis, monastraki square, Plaka and Syntigma. There is so much to say about our host. He gave quick and helpful answers to my questions that started days before our trip. He took care of every question and problem we had, from our transfer from the airport to safe restaurant information where we could eat. An assistant accompanied us to enter the facility and answered our questions.. A facility I would definitely recommend Nothing
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bogdan (9/5): Superb -
- Krista (9/5): Great location near the Acropolis and a Host that’s thought of all the details! - LOVED the location and would stay here again just because of this! Second bedroom is created with what you would think of as a temporary partition and does not reach all the way to the ceiling. This does not create full privacy for the guests in there. And the sofa bed is at the front door. All of this is fine for my young kids, but I would probably not prefer it for more than one adult couple. Main bedroom offers typical privacy. Mattresses must have been upgraded since poor reviews because even my kids said they liked them better than their own ones at home. Sleep was quiet and dark. Washer was decent size for Europe and there was a drying rack on the patio (didn’t notice until too late). Host has thought of everything. Their Welcome Guide book to the area was very helpful. Ability to log-in to your Netflix and stream, which is helpful for mid day breaks with the kids. For those wishing for more than one set of keys, it was easy enough to put them back in the lockbox outside and whichever guest came back to the place first, had access to them. Good places close by for breakfast or a late night gyro. Hot water must be turned on 30 minutes before you’re going to use it. This meant someone had to wake up 30 minutes earlier than they would have preferred to start the day, to get the water hot. And it wasn’t always reliable if that would work. Some showers were warm and other days they were cold. WiFi was also iffy.
- Amir (9/5): excellent but - Location One bathroom
Small Cockroaches
Ground floor (not secure as well)
- Tom (9/5): Superb -
- Deb (9/5): Great little apartment in the best location - Great location. Nice and bright Hard to get access to property
- Carrie (10/5): Best Athens stay ever! - Great location! Appreciated the air conditioning! Great view from rooftop. Food available close by and at supermarket. Would definitely stay here again! Number 1 on lockbox needs to be more clearly written. Loved everything else.
- Cuff (10/5): Excellent host and amazing location - The host was extremely helpful and the location is excellent Nothing
- Noelle (9/5): Highly recommended for location. Would stay again - Location fabulous but lovely and quiet
Aircon was amazing too for the days of being a tourist The pillows weren’t great
- Alicia (9/5): Superb - Perfect location for a family with young children, centrally located in a lovely area and right in the heart of a bustling neighborhood
- Katherine (2/5): Horrible stay - Decent amount of space. Very close to acropolis. We had a horrible stay. The AC didn’t work the entire time that we were there and Athens is HOT during summer. They came to “fix” it each day but they couldn’t basically we were melting in our room. It was BAD. We were so miserable we almost checked out early and went somewhere else but not much was available last minute. Also on our first night we had NO HOT WATER. they couldn’t fix that until the next day so we couldn’t even shower because the water was ICE cold.
- Pedro (8/5): Very good -
- Elizabeth (9/5): Very comfortable and a wonderful base for exploring central Athens and the Acropolis. - Excellent central location.
Sizer of the property Partition meant that the light shone through from the hall/ sitting room into the second bedroom.
- Betty (8/5): Very good -
- Fatma (10/5): Exceptional - Good
- Abhay (10/5): Unmatched Location. Nice property - Location Location and Location There should have been 2 toilets
- Staci (9/5): Nice apartment in really nice neighborhood. - Location is right across the street from the Acropolis Museum, and 1/2 block to entrance of the Acropolis. Location is better than top hotels. The apartment smells like smoke. It didn’t so much when we arrived, but then it was like someone was sitting in the kitchen smoking. Enough to cause me to start coughing. We’ve moved on to our next stop and the clothes in my suitcase smell faintly of smoke.
The van we booked through the host (for 3am to airport didn’t arrive) and we had to call 2 taxis.
- Janice (10/5): Best place for history buffs - Location, location, location! Plus, the communication with the managers was excellent.
- Archana (8/5): Great location but prone to theft. Host is very quick in communication - Excellent Location, communication. Host is available for all your needs. Apt is modern and rooms are decent size We had a theft in our apartment as it is right in the city center and lost jewelry worth $300-400.
Please check all the doors and windows even if you have not opened it.
- Sandra (10/5): Very nice location close to so much. - Location, Location, Location! This is the perfect property to enjoy Athens. The apartment sits above a pedestrian area full of cafes and restaurants, shopping and more! The incredible view of the Acropolis from the roof or just sitting outside is amazing! Close to buses and across the street from a subway station. It is small, so not a lot of room to spread out, but with all there is to do, you may not spend much time in the apartment anyways.
- Denise (10/5): The property was easy to find in the heart of all the shopping and 3 mins from the acropolis , if I needed anything and - The location was amazing to everything. Loved everything about it.
- Tiina (10/5): Exceptional - Location and bohemian vibe of this place. It’s very quiet and cozy apartment. We met our last sunset in Athens on the roof. It was unforgettable! Nothing.
- Konrad (10/5): Best location when in Athens - You will not find a better location in Athens - the place is literally a few steps away from the Acropolis, the Acropolis Museum, Plaka and the absolutely stunning Anafiotika neighbourhood. Easy self check-in/check-out. The apartment itself is clean, spacious, well-equipped, with comfortable beds. The views from the roof top terrace are just breathtaking. Nasos, the host, is very welcoming and super helpful, nothing is too much trouble for him. Will definitely recommend the place!
- Ldjida (10/5): Exceptional - The location of the apartment was just exceptional. It is conveniently close to Plaka, the acropolis museum and right under the acropolis.
The apartment is new, modern, clean, comfortable with all you need in the kitchen and bathroom.
The rooms are tastefully decorated and give a sense of peace and harmony. The check-in hours is not the best, 3.00 P.M !!!
- Sean (10/5): Best Apartment in Athens! - The best possible location in Athens. Right above many restaurants and 50m from the shopping district and entrance to the acropolis. The access to the roof and included sitting chairs made every night amazing. We simply drank a few drinks while overlooking the entire city. Will stay here ever time I travel to this amazing city. Please place "how too" instructions on the appliances. The last guest left a Nespresso cartridge in the machine, which means I had to clean it before use. nothing major, but this small detail would help out.
- Kristina (8/5): Great convinient stay - Amazing location next to the acropolis and the buzzing streets. Plenty of space. Well equipped kitchen, lovely balcony for relaxing. Perfect place for few nights 1 set of keys was a bit tricky to manage
- Goingelsewhere (9/5): Excellent apt in an excellent location! - Best location in Athens. Quiet, spacious, all utensils included, comfortable, fits up to five people. Easy communication and check in/check out, nice bathroom and kitchen supplies. My only suggestion is that a spare set of keys is available in case we are two people.
- Vipul (8/5): Best location to explore Athens! - Great location in the middle of everything. Acropolis is right outside. Great food and shopping right out the door! The beds were not very comfortable.
- Gabriela (9/5): Superb -
- Elizabeth (7/5): This apartment is hands down in the best location. - The location is absolutely wonderful. Air conditioning worked very well. Having to turn on a boiler in advance to heat the water. It made multiple people taking showers challenging. The pillows on the beds were like bricks. The back bedroom shared a wall with a restaurant so it was noisy at night until they closed.
- Julie (9/5): Perfect location, great apartment - Location location - everything u need in apartment. 2 couples stayed comfortably. Roof top terrace just beautiful. Lovely area.
- Ahmed (9/5): Superb -
- Szymon (7/5): Good place for family - Location Contact with owner
- Matthew (10/5): This is THE location when visiting Athens - The location! Central to everything one wants on a trip to Athens. Literally steps to the Acropolis. Museum, train/metro right outside the front door, half a block to the Plaka and dozens of restaurant options with one block radius.
- Erriej (6/5): Best location, but very uncomfortable - The location is the absolute best, shared rooftop terrace overlooking the acropolis, across of the metrostation, very close to both the acropolis entrance and museum.
We also loved the information on the site and how the host (albeit from distance) was in constant communication and provided us with a guide. Self check in was easy and quick. Facilities are good, we enjoyed the nespresso machine. The pillows are like stones to sleep on, we tossed them and slept on towels and such instead. Matrass is not very comfortable either. Could be an easy fix with some better pillows, now we barely managed to sleep. We suspect someone smoked in our apartment before us, as it had a lingering insistent smell. Wifi is bad, so even though there is a smart tv, you cannot use netflix due to the slow internet. You cannot leave your luggage due to the remote host, instead you can leave your luggage in 10 euro lockers down the road.
All in all I would not stay here again, with the pillows being the dealbreaker (again, could be an easy fix). The location and rooftop view which is the best possible in Athens is the only thing it really has going for itself.
- Keyla (8/5): Very good - Great location. 10min walk to acropolis. Beautiful rooftop view
- Ronan (9/5): Superb - Amazing apartment, great location. We found the pillows very very hard.
- Niamh (9/5): Fabulous. Would stay here again! - We absolutley loved the size and location. OUr host was fantastic and very helpful when we asked for assistance with booking transfers. The location was absolutly fantastic.
- Shireen-ann (9/5): We really enjoyed Splash of Glam. Near lots of souvenir shops, restaurants, mini markets and get safe wandering around - Very close to acropolis, stores, markets and restaurants. Not very good ventilation in bathroom so mold growing in shower stalls. Since cleaning isn’t offered everyday I wouldn’t have minded having cleaning supplies to scrub bathroom after use.
- Karin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maria (9/5): The closest place to stay if you are visiting the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum - This is the absolute best location if you are planning to visit the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum. You cannot get any closer than this. A lot of restaurants, cafeterias and a convenience store right outside your door. Plaka is only a few steps away. The terrace offers an exclusive and wonderful view of the Acropolis for your private photoshoots. The host is very tentative, helpful and easily reached. There wasn't anything to spoil our stay as such. There was a lot of noise from the neighbours the first night, but it was quiet the rest of the nights. The pillows could have been softer, but that's a matter of personal preference. The second bedroom is only separated by a screen, which wasn't any trouble for us but I think it would be if adults had to sleep there. I would appreciate a larger sitting area. Nothing was major and everything was beat by its prime location.
- Margot (10/5): Delightful city flat in the heart of all attractions. - Fabulous location, very fun decor, an apartment that creates an atmosphere and thinks of everything. The view from the rooftop was jaw-dropping. The communication of the hosts was very good, and we felt hosted even though we hadn't met them in person. Lots of personal touches. The location can't be beat for a fun visit of the acropolis and surrounding parks. Lived up to its name for sure!! We were really happy with everything. The kitchen could use a mpriki and small strainer for making loose tea. Tiny detail.
- Marcus (9/5): Superb - Location. View from roof terrace.
- Natalia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sílvia (9/5): Superb - location was fab!!!! nice views to the acropolis from the roof terrace!!!
- Aspiotis (7/5): Good - Everything was perfect except from hot water. You had to wait 30 minutes for hot water and then it was enough for one shower only.
- Nelson (10/5): Spacious and Centrally located - The apartment was very clean, spacious and located close to so many great restaurants and sites. My son, wife and I enjoyed our stay in Athens because the apartment made us feel like we were right at home. Also, the host was absolutely amazing, checked in to confirm we had everything we needed and accommodated us with an early check-in! Not Applicable
- Todor (10/5): Exceptional -
- Guy (9/5): No. 1 place to stay in Athens - The location was ideal to visit the Acropolis monuments & the museum. It was less than 5 minutes away from both. In addition, the metro station Acropolis has one of its two entrances/exits opposite the apartment . There are restaurants, supermarkets, left luggage & many interesting shops around the flat. The latter was spotless clean and had all the amenities which we needed for our stay . Contrary to what we read in some reviews, the place was very quiet . The view of the Parthenon from the rooftop was breathtaking. It was so nice that the property manager ,Nasos, replied to all our queries promptly & arranged for the airport transfers for us with Spiros. A few minor items needed fixing but that did not bother us. The weighing scale wasn't available while we were initially told the contrary. The pillows could have been softer.
- Ailís (10/5): Excellent host, great apartment in a brilliant location. Would stay here again if visiting Athens - Very informative host, thorough information sent about how to get the keys and the property as well as extremely helpful local information. Amazing apartment in an amazing location and the roof terrace is fantastic.
- Yun (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, easy reach to acropolis and museum ,many restaurants around, near to metro station ,view from roof terrace is fantastic Have to read the check in instruction, would be good if the owner can be there and show around
- Kieran (10/5): 100% satisfaction rating from a family of five, where everyone was exceptionally pleased with facilities, location and h - It was relaxing, yet at the heart of all Athens activities. All five guests in the party were exceptionally happy with the property. Everything was pretty much perfect, a fan in the kitchen during the day would have been welcome.
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional -
