• hans dangerman (9/5): uitstekend - Gewoonweg perfect! Een oase van rust en top service ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wat een fantastisch verblijf hebben wij hier gehad! De ligging van het appartement is werkelijk prachtig en heerlijk rustgevend, omgeven door een schitterende tuin. De eigenaren zijn ontzettend vriendelijke mensen en de service die zij bieden is uitzonderlijk. Ze deden er werkelijk alles aan om het ons naar de zin te maken. Ik kan dan ook oprecht niets negatiefs bedenken over deze plek. Het was gewoonweg perfect. Een absolute aanrader voor iedereen die op zoek is naar rust, comfort en gastvrijheid! kan niets benoemen. Misschien de trap naar ons appartement. Maar dat hadden we graag voor over.

• Marcel (10/5): - Nous avons passé deux jours exceptionnels chez Ivana et Bozo Il n'y a pas assez de mots pour décrire la gentillesse de ces personnes, on est comme chez des amis. Le stationnement dans un parking à proximité ou Bozo vous attend avec son véhicule pour vous emmener avec vos bagages à la maison. L'accueil avec le verre de bienvenue, Ivana nous explique tout ce qu'il faut savoir pour visiter cette belle ville de Dubrovnik. La visite du jardin entretenu avec amour par Bozo, petit paradis dont il s'occupe quotidiennement. Nous avons apprécié la compagnie de Zara la gentille chienne de la maison. L'appartement est très propre, le réfrigérateur est rempli de boissons, il y a également de quoi prendre son petit déjeuner. Tout est parfait, Ivana est au petit soin avec nous et fait tout pour que l'on garde un excellent souvenir de notre séjour. On aurait aimé pouvoir rester plus longtemps. Loved the comfortable bed, great water pressure, plenty of towels, terrace seating, and gorgeous views. The walk to the old city is about 15-20 minutes. We routinely walked to the old city (downhill) and returned on the bus (uphill). Everything was perfect.
• Denise (10/5): We thoroughly enjoyed our stay enjoying excellent hospitality from Ivana and Bozo - The property was well located just outside The Old Town with lovely views and a tranquil garden. There was plenty of storage space in the bedroom and the apartment was clean, cosy and well equipped. The hosts picked us up from the bus station and also took us to the ferry port for our onward trip. Ivana was lovely and spent time with us to explain how to get about, places to visit and gave restaurant recommendations. The hosts were very kind and couldn’t do enough for us. • Karen (10/5): Croation culture and generosity at its best ! - Where do we begin. The Apartment Gaura was a fabulous accommodation. The hosts Ivana and Bozo were so friendly and made us feel very welcome. The 1bdrm apartment was spacious, modern and super clean. The bed and other furniture was comfortable and the full kitchen well equipped. The bathroom was large with instant hot water and pressure. Many little added touches throughout the apartment made it feel like a home more than a rental. Ivana and Bozo's hospitality was superb. The well-maintained gardens and surroundings outdoor spaces were beautiful with some city views. The instructions and directions were easily communicated via txt and Ivana was always quick to reply. The location is within walking distance to Dubrovnik Old Town (20mins). The public bus was easy to navigate and had a stop very close by the apartment. There is a grocery store, bakery and pizza restaurant nearby. There are quite a few steps up or down to get to the apartment, but not unbearable if you take it slow. Ivana and Bozo graciously offered to help carry our overpacked bags. We would 100% recommend this apartment to anyone and already have. So happy we were able to stay here, only wish it could have been longer.

Její manžel nás dokonce vyzvedl na autobusovém nádraží a dovezl až k domu. Vybavenost apartmánu předčila očekávání, bylo k dispozici naprosto vše. Vše uklizené a čisté, všem toto ubytování doporučíme.

• Eve (10/5): Beautiful apartment, lovely hosts and a relaxing stay - What a beautiful apartment! Ivana, Bozo and their friendly dog Zara made the stay- our flight was delayed by hours but they stayed up late to greet us and made sure we had everything we needed - bread, butter, fruit etc. They even gave us a lift to the bus station! The apartment looks even better than the photos! It was so clean, spacious and well equipped. The kitchen had everything you need to make a meal. The garden is stunning and a lovely spot to eat breakfast. I have recommended it to family for when they visit Dubrovnik! 10/10 all round! The location was good- you could walk to the old town in about 25 minutes.

Wir haben viele Tips für die Stadt und Umgebung erhalten. Sehr sauberes Apartment mit bequemen Betten. Der Kühlschrank war bereits ausgestattet mit Butter, Marmeladen, Wasser, kroatischen Bier und leckerem selbstgebackenen Käsekuchen zur Begrüßung. Terrasse eignete sich perfekt zum Frühstücken oder einfach nur so zum Entspannen. Mit einem schönen Ausblick und den liebevoll angelegten Garten inkl. süsser Schildkröten. Hilfsbereite und sehr freundliche Gastgeber. Ganz klare Empfehlung wenn man ein paar Tage in Dubrovnik ist. Nichts.

• Mónica Larrea (10/5): Saying it was excellent would be an understatement. - Breakfast was not included; however, Ivana and Bodo welcomed us with almonds, dried figs, candied little oranges, all kinds of seasonings to prepare our own meals, bread, and even their delicious liqueurs! The quality and warmth of these loving hosts has been unmatched so far on our trip (and we’ve stayed in many places). The entire apartment was spotless and equipped with everything we could possibly need—things imaginable and even those you wouldn’t expect! They are two truly kind people, always willing to help with anything. They guided us through the itineraries and even marked the points of interest on a map. Our return was by ferry to Bari, and Ivana kindly printed our reservation so we could check in, while Bodo drove us to the port and made sure everything was in order. They truly deserve far more than a 10. Thank you so much for everything! (And a cuddle for Zara, their beautiful Golden who lives with them). Hasta pronto!!! No comments at all here!

Ivana and Bozo are really good hosts, flexible, open mind with a real interest to you and your confort. A lot of commodity closed to the flat (ATM, supermarket, restaurant and direct bus for Old Town) The advices from Ivana for Restaurants are really instructiv ! The stairs ! but that's the real life of Dubrovnik wherever you are
• Angelo (10/5): - Alloggio che non affaccia sulla strada ma che si immerge nel verde ed offre un panorama su doubronick di tutto rispetto.. la disponibilità e la cordialità degli host, Ivana e Bozo, é stata davvero fuori dal comune, ci hanno fatto sentire a casa, in "famiglia" sin dal primo giorno, accogliendoci come si fa di solito con un parente che viene a trovarti da lontano. La casa era pulita e munita di tutto ciò che è necessario ad un ospite.. Zara poi, il loro golden retriever, è dolcissima.. CONSIGLIATISSIMO! Parcheggio un po' lontanuccio ma tutto sommato fattibilissimo!

• HYUN KYUNG (10/5): 강력하게 추천합니다 - 호스트의 따듯한 환대와 세심한 배려가 두브로부니크에서의 여행을 더욱 감동적으로 만들어 주었습니다. 집은 아주 예쁘게 꾸며져 있고 모든 것들이 아주 잘 갖추어져 있어 머무는 동안 전혀 불편함이 없었습니다. 또한 물, 오렌지쥬스, 커피, 각종 양념, 주방 용품 등 모든 것에 호스트의 세심함이 담겨있었습니다. 주차에 어려움이 많은 두브로부니크 시내를 편안히 여행하기 위해 차는 주차장에 두고 버스를 이용하게 되었는데 집에서 조금만 나가면 버스 정 류장이 있어 그것 또한 편리했습니다. 두브로부니크를 여행할 지인들에게 적극 추천해주고싶습니다 주차장이 집에서 조금 멀리 있는 것이 안타깝지만ㅠ 친절한 호스트들의 덕분에 전혀문제가 되지 않았습니다^^

Everythining was sparkling clean, the garden is beautiful with laungechairs where you can relax and enjoy the view. The host was very nice and really helpful. We felt like home and we would definitely come back. Staying here made our trip to Dubrovnik better than we expected. Nothing - everything was perfect.
• Simone (10/5): Cannot wait to stay here again - This property is amazing. And the hosts Ivana and Bozo are fabulous, so welcoming and helpful - and just really lovely people. We were collected from the port and although warned, the drive to the accommodation at first made us wonder where we were staying. Surprisingly we weee actually really close to Old Town, easy walk and an even quicker city bus ride for 2.50 euro. The property is well equipped, everything was supplied (and worked!!) and the garden was as just so lovely. On arrival we enjoyed their home make liquor and on our last night enjoyed Ivana’s homemade baked cheesecake. Just divine (see pics!!) As hosts they go above and beyond and shared their knowledge of the area, recommending some great spots to see, things to do and places to eat. Every where in Dubrovnik there are steps - easier to go down them than up, but even for me (lazy - unfit), it could manage easily. Getting an uber to the top from Old City was around 13 euro - and the stairs down are a breeze!!!

The accommodation at Apartments Gaura is wonderful; Ivana and Bozo have thought of everything, even down to slippers in the bathroom for your use. A well thought out apartment with a spacious shower and bathroom, plenty of room for luggage storage and a lovely little outdoor area to sit and relax. Such a beautiful garden with the gorgeous turtles which you may be lucky to see as they wander around the lawn. Ivana and Bozo are friendly, helpful and generous hosts from their warm greeting, explanation of sights to see, to the delicious home-made liqueur served on your arrival. Not to mention the cheesecake Ivana made for us which was delicious!

The hosts were amazing , helpful at any hour , great recommendations as well as their lovely dog Zara . I’d be back in an instant recommend . There’s stairs to get to the apartment but that’s not a property issiue it’s a Dubrovnik thing based on the fact at the city is built just a guide for anyone with a walking disability .

The hosts couldn't have been more hospitable, nothing was too much trouble and there were lots of little touches which really elevated the stay. The accommodation was comfortable, with much appreciated air conditioning given the rather warm weather! The cooking facilities were great and we enjoyed using the terrace. If we were to come back to Dubrovnik, we would definitely stay here again. Nothing!

• Patrick (10/5): A Super Wonderful Stay - Mr Bos n Mdm Ivana were simply the most outstanding host we ever met. As we missed our connecting flight, they waited at 1.30am to receive us n even help to carry our bags. The apartment was super pleasant, from aesthetic to comfort n the bed was comfortable. A fully equipped kitchen (unfortunately we only cooked instant noodles 😭) plus with the fridge loaded with water, beer n even butter. A loaf of bread was also given. There was a coffee machine in the common room that delivered superb coffee. Water from the tap is portable n safe for drinking. The garden was very well maintained and a pleasure to be at it. There is a Tommy Supermarket about 100m from the apt. U can buy essentials. Booker do beware that even though it was walkable, everywhere in Dubrovnik, u need to climb long flights of stairs, Good exercise (foc😝). Also, food in Dubrovnik restaurants might be out pricing themselves from the market. As comparison, it is about 140% of prices in venice. Cooking might be necessary. Guara Apt was very reasonably priced though, our good fortune. Overall, we were very pleased with Guara Apt n we thank Ivana for being oist supportive n helpful that contributed greatly to a wonderful trip. Hot weather

The owners welkomed us with local specialties. The bathroom had a great rainshower. It felt like home away from home. Great wifi, spotless clean and all you can wish for. Great location between Old city and the more modern port. Ubertaxi is a great was to get around, apart from walking or bus. The wonderful gardens with flowers and fruit is a great bonus. • Cheol (10/5): A Wonderful Place to Stay - We had a wonderful stay at this vacation home. The highlight was definitely the beautiful garden. It is clear that a lot of care and love goes into keeping it so meticulously maintained. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind. Ivana and Bozo were incredibly helpful throughout our stay. The only downside was the location, twenty-minute walk to the old town. However, if you are looking for a relaxing retreat, this could be a plus. Overall it is a wonderful place to stay if you value tranquility, great hospitality and a beautiful garden.

To start, we were picked up and dropped off to the bus station by Bozo, so transport or trying to find the apartment was not an issue. The apartment is spotless with all amineties and a few extras that the host Ivana supplies. The apartment and the gardens at the facilities are magnificent. Ivana and Bozo, which, by the way, I loved his sense of humour. We were treated as family. We were made to feel most welcomed. Definitely recommend the place to stay. The homemade cheese cake on the last night was the icing on the cake of our stay. Nothing, all was good.

• Christopher (10/5): Not to be missed! Stunning property. - Hospitality like this is a rare and dying art. Ivana and Božo treated us like family. They picked us up from the bus station, offered us delicious homemade liqueurs and snacks when checking in and spent a considerable amount of time talking us through local sights and recommendations. They also then left us to have our space and let us enjoy the property. The property itself was a haven. The garden with the terrace is immaculate and the most beautiful surroundings to unwind with a glass of wine after a busy day of sightseeing. The apartment was spotless and extremely comfortable. Every possible need is catered for. They even leave some small ingredients should you wish to make use of the fully functional kitchen to cook. The location is ideal. Quiet and suburban but 20 minutes walk from the main tourist hub of the old town. The slightly heightened position of the property allows for stunning vistas of the city. There is also good transport links to the property and plenty of amenities in the locale. Do not hesitate to book this property if you are visiting Dubrovnik. It is without doubt our favourite property that we have ever stayed in. And to Ivana and Božo - thank you so much for your care and kindness. We really look forward to seeing you again next year. Highly recommended. - Our hosts went out of their way to make us welcome, including collecting us from the bus station on arrival and taking us to the ferry port at the end of our stay. The accommodation and lovely enclosed garden were perfect for our short break in Dubrovnik. Ivana also gave us good advice about where to eat. There was building work nearby which we could hear outside during the daytime, which our hosts were apologetic about even though it was not their fault.

• Konrad (10/5): Exceptional - A Wonderful Stay! This apartment is fantastic—beautifully decorated, spacious, and with a large bathroom and a super comfortable bed. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need, including thoughtful extras like pepper, salt, and delicious olive oil. The whole place was spotless and smelled wonderful, with scented candles lit upon our arrival. But the true highlight was the host. I don’t have enough words to express how kind and welcoming she was. She went out of her way to make our stay special, serving us homemade liqueurs and her own cheesecake when we arrived. She’s also happy to share her knowledge of Dubrovnik and recommend great spots to visit. There’s a charming little garden under the house where you can pick fresh herbs—and even figs! We loved enjoying our morning coffee there in the peace and quiet. It was such a lovely and relaxing experience, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommended!
• Judith (10/5): A delightful apartment outside the old city. Well equipped, clean, and comfortable run by friendly hosts. - The apartment is well equipped, quiet and comfortable. The garden terrace was delightful for breakfast and a glass of wine at the end of a day. Delightful hosts were always available and extremely helpful. The apartment is an easy walk into the old city, and there is a good bus service. Turtles in the garden were a bonus 🙂 Nothing. Everything was great.

• William (10/5): Authentic experience highly recommended - Nicest hosts! A truly authentic and personal experience you can't find most places. We are full time travelers, so trust me when I say this is a special place. We really enjoyed their homemade snacks and beverages, plus the extra food and drinks in the kitchen. Best shower (spacious, flexible, powerful, and hot). Clean, comfortable, and well-maintained apartment with everything you need. Quiet and in a good location -- 5 minutes to the bus and grocery store, and we even walked down to the Old City and port. Beautiful garden with turtles! The shared washer and dryer was very helpful. As is typical here, there are lots of stairs to reach the apartment or go anywhere. The hosts found us parking, but I don't recommend having a car in this city.

• Ian (10/5): Exceptional Apartment - This property was rated three stars, why is a mystery to us it was exceptional in every respect. Our hosts were friendly, and helpful beyond expectations, they provided us with transport to and from the port and were always available for help and advise. In the apartment we were provided with basic shelf items; such as oil, salt, sugar and herbs, as well as some basic breakfast items. Complementary wine, beer and local liquor was very much appreciated. The apartment was decorated, furnished and equipped to a very high standard and was exceptionally clean. Nothing at all from our point of view! The steps too and from the property may be a challenge for guests with mobility problems.
• Elaine (10/5): Our hosts Ivana and Bozo were so kind, welcoming and helpful. We could not have asked for more from them and would defin - It was spotlessly clean, nicely furnished and well equipped with everything we needed when we wanted to self-cater. The terrace with the lovely garden (full of flowers and fruit and tortoises!) was great for relaxing after a busy day. The location was great away from the crowds and noise and only a 20 min walk to the old town one way and the Port in the other direction. Nothing. It was perfect for me and my teenage daughter.
• Yuan (10/5): Exceptional - We stayed 3 nights in apartment Guara. When we arrived, the host provided free parking and shuttle to the "home". It was a sweet surprise that the fridge was filled with free bread, wine, beer and juice... the kitchen is well equipped with everything, olive oil and spices. Grocery is easy to access. Room is pleasant with a garden view. Host couple is super nice and hospitable. I would definitely recommend if someone wants to stay close to the old city and also away from hustle. There are many stairs in the city that cannot be avoided. Be prepared if you are travelling with big luggage. I am grateful that thNile host helped a lot with moving our luggages. No.

We were able to check in early, and on arrival Ivana provided us with recommendations for the local area as well as shots of homemade liquor! The garden was so peaceful and beautiful, and also home to many tortoises! The apartment was well equipped and comfortable. We couldn't have asked for anything more!

The apartment was spotless and was stocked with everything needed, along with delicious cheesecake upon arrival. The garden setting is fabulous and it’s central to both sides of Dubrovnik. Lovely garden complimented with turtles and of course the ever lovely Zara their wonderful Golden Retriever. Zero!

• Kevin (10/5): Exceptional - We love Ivana's apartment. Its so beautiful and tastfully decorated, definately home from home and so much more. We stayed in the apartment with the patio doors which was lovely to open out everyday. Stunning outdoor garden that's well kept and maintained by Ivana and her lovely Husband. They have a friendly calm dog, so many amazing flowers and few tortoises in the garden free to crawl around which was so nice to see. The Apartment has everything you need from towls, sun creams, shower gels, all cooking utensils, seasonings and oils. A separate iron / laundry room few doors from our apartment which was very handy. Ivana is very considerate, when we arrived she stocked up the fridge with cold drinks beers and juice, butter and jams, homemade cheese cake and a loaf of bread. Ivana speaks very good English, she is very knowledgeable and gave us lots of restaurant recommendations and sights to see. She also makes amazing homemade Liquore with fresh ingredients from her garden which we could help ourselves to. The amaretto like Liquoir taste so good. Everything is walking distance, local supermarket and bakery with fresh bakes is 5 mins walk away. Marina / beach is 25 mins away. So many resturants to choose from.... some of our favourites: barba (old town), Yacht Club Orsan, Orks (marina), Marangun, Love bar. Lots of steps so bring comfy walking shoes. This is a lovely apartment, you can tell the owners take pride in their homes and surrounding areas. We would definately come back and stay again. Highly recommended Everything was perfect❤️

Turtles in the garden and Zara (golden retriever) made it extra special. Ivana and Boza were extremely welcoming and went out of their way to make our stay special. Absolutely nothing. Best stay
• Hiu (10/5): Exceptional - BEST HOST!!! The perfect care from the host made our whole trip so unforgettable! The warm welcoming that we received is incredible, they recommend us on the spot and some restaurants, and tell us every details about Dubrovnik. The host treated us like family, take care of our every need, even helped us to handle our laundry so we can take a rest earlier! The host made us delicious cheesecake, even drove us to the main bus station and let us the store our luggage on our last day. The house is very clean and surrounded by peaceful and quiet environment, the garden is beautiful with different types of flowers, and the dog is so adorable and friendly!! We can even watch the sunset just sitting in the garden. Super recommend everyone this lovely and cozy apartment, which makes you feel like home! We will definitely choose this apartment again if we visit Dubrovnik again! Nothing!! We hope we can stay for longer!
• Wendy (10/5): Just book it, you won’t be disappointed. - Ivana and Bozo were perfect hosts. Nothing was too much trouble and they went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. There were treats and enough food items so we didn’t have to rush to the supermarket for basics. The location was central to old town and the harbour with easy access to both. Everything was walkable. The apartment was of high quality with everything you could want. Great shower and bathroom and beds were very comfortable. Impeccably clean and the garden furniture and setting was beautiful. Thank you Ivana and Bozo. Nothing not to like!
• Nicholas (10/5): Home away from home - Ivana and Bozo were warm and hospitable. They really look after you like you’re family. We were really impressed with all of their homemade drinks and food. The apartment was spacious and we particularly loved the toilet, which was spacious. We enjoyed the terrace very much as well - the views were fantastic and it was nice to just sit outside and enjoy the views and weather. Nothing at all - just take note that parking is a fair distance away but this is barely an issue for us.
• Pietro (10/5): A corner of tranquillity in Dubrovnik - This is a beautiful comfortable apartment, located in a quiet elevated area of Dubrovnik, featuring a tidy lovely garden and another room with a fireplace for guests. The Old Town is just 20-25 mins walk from there. There's really of attention to details: everything is chosen with care and makes that place really look special. We genuinely felt our hosts were some of the kindest and friendliest people on earth: they gave us a lot of advice and did their very best to help us, including arranging a free parking near the apartment, in an area where finding a spot to park your car is really challenging. Highly recommended!
• Adriana (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment was incredible! We had everything we needed and more. Ivana and Bozo are one the most kind people I’ve ever met. They left coffee and drinks for us in the fridge and when we arrived, they gave us a lot of information about Dubrovnik (where to go, what to avoid, etc.). They led us to the parking spot, offered to help us with our luggage and on the last day, they brought us delicious cake. There is also a wonderful garden, where you could have your coffee and it has a magnificent view. I would definitely book their place again if I am ever in back in Dubrovnik and I 100% recommend it!

• Takefumi (10/5): Next time, I'll book here as my priority, before my flight/bus - All was perfect, especially the hospitality. the host family gave all instruction (including the recommendations for the city, restaurant, supermarket etc) by face to face, the room was gorgeous and full of good vibe and facilities were well maintained. even the garden and view was awesome. There is literally nothing. I understand why this facility got 10.0/10.0 from more than 100 visitors. Nothing I can come up with to improve being very honest. I wish I could give 15.0/10.0, really.

The property is in a great location - it's a short walking distance (about 25 minutes) to the old city and it comes with free parking. You just have to prepare yourself for the narrow streets typical to the region if you are arriving by car.

• Arjan (10/5): Beautiful and nice place - The apartment is roughly 1.5 km from the old town and is in the middle of the busy city of Dubrovnik. However, the garden is a peaceful oasis in the middle of the town. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace watching the garden and the turtles that walk there. We really loved our stay here. The hosts are lovely people, very kind and helpful. They gave us personal attention, which was really appreciated. The attention to detail is amazing in this apartment. For example every day they put a tiny bouquet of fresh flowers on the table outside. Their dog is very sweet, even if your not a fan of dogs, the dog is very well educated and well behaved. We would recommend this place and hope to visit it once again in the future.
