• Whiteside (10/5): We overall really enjoyed our stay in the apartment and highly recommend! - The location was perfect! We traveled w several other couples and they mostly came to us as we were so close to Polce Gate. We had a fraction of the steps to climb, maybe 50 or so. The apartment was well appointed and we didn’t feel like it was missing anything. Each bedroom had its own private bath. It was a very charming historic apartment! The beds and pillows were comfortable. We shouldn’t complain about lack of storage, we were a short time rental. However, I had been living out of packing cubes for 8 days. It would have been nice to put my things in a little dresser or shelf. The roof is very pitched so one side of the master bed that wall side is very sloped. I’m 5’5’ and didn’t come close to being able to stand up.

• Lyndsey (10/5): Perfect first experience of Dubrovnik - Ideal location - Right at the Old Port. Was traveling with my mother who was carrying a knee injury - apartment was down a nice easy slope from the city Ploce gate and besides the two flights to the apartment we had no other steps (lots of the apartments in old town Dubrovnik are accessed up steep stone steps). Spotlessly clean and beds were so comfortable. Great to have the two en suites also. The owners were also great to deal with. Nothing (a bigger window overlooking the beautiful port would be amazing but you can literally just step outside the door for it so it’s not a big deal)

The apartment's owner (Darko) was extremely helpful in giving us pick-up directions and any help we needed during our stay. It really was a wonderful holiday and we are grateful to Darko for a brilliant stay. The only negative was Booking.com's taxi service which didn't recognise that the apartment is in a pedestrian zone - if booking a taxi simply ask for the Ploce Gate, which is the nearest entrance to the apartment. Nothing - an excellent stay

• dagfrid (10/5): Anbefaler dette stedet på det varmeste og reiser gjerne tilbake. - Perfekt beliggenhet i forhold til kafeer, restauranter, kulturtilbud og småbåthavn. Max. 10 minutter spasertur til nærmeste strand like utenfor Gamlebyen. Bodde i leilighet og laget frokosten selv. Trivelig leilighet, godt utstyrt med behagelige møbler. Savnet kun brødrister. Anbefaler at verten skaffer en brødrister. Bodde i loftsleilighet med skråtak på bad og soverom. Måtte derfor passe på å ikke slå hodet i taket, men ser ikke på det som noe stort problem. Ingen heis. Måtte gå opp to trapper, men det er vanlig i private leiligheter i Gamlebyen.

• Lucy (10/5): Wonderful apartment in central location - A gem of an apartment for exploring the old city - I feel so lucky to have found this home! Two large bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, and a roomy, comfortable living space with facilities for self catering. Everything was spotlessly clean and the aircon, TV, etc, all worked perfectly. The location is absolutely ideal - right on the harbour, with restaurants, shops, museums and the Porporela (swimming location) less than 5 minutes walk away, and 10 minutes to the sandy Banje beach. Despite being in the heart of the old city above a restaurant, the apartment is very quiet (apart from ship horns from the port!) and comfortable. Having 2 keys meant my friend and I could come and go as we needed, and the area felt safe and secure. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts, their communication was excellent and they made us feel at home straightaway. Not a criticism, but just for others to bear in mind: the apartment is up 2 flights of stairs and has some slanting ceilings, so may not suit someone with mobility limitations. No problem for us though!
• Clare (9/5): Super Stay - Marvellous location, sea on the doorstep; right in the heart of the tourist hub. Spacious, comfortable, pretty apartment, perfect for two couples as it has two en suite rooms. Great TV on which we watched music videos on YouTube. Very easy to access, owner gave superb directions and was there to meet us. Would thoroughly recommend for a short stay. The showers would benefit from enclosures as the curtains tend to flood the bathroom floor. Perhaps provide a toaster. It would have been lovely to have had a balcony with a view.

It meant everything in the Old Town was in easy walking distance. Two bedrooms with comfy beds and the apartment was well resourced with everything you need. Air conditioning was very welcome as we had a surprising heatwave at the end of October. Darko was very responsive to texts and easy to deal with. I would recommend this apartment to anyone. As the apartment is in the attic, it had tiny windows so there was no view at all but we spent very little time in the apartment during the day so it was not a problem. The stairs leading up to the apartment were steep so that could be a problem for some people. There was an issue with hot water but I’m sure it will be fixed for the next guests.

• Steve (9/5): A little quirky, but really great location and perfectly functional. - No breakfast with this stay. The location is fantastic. Right on the old port, steps to the wall into old town. The area is busy, but not noisy. For those with bad knees there are a lot of steps up to the apartment (on 3rd floor). There is a shallow (2 inch) wooden beam you have to step over to get in our out of the bedrooms that you can stub your toes on if not careful.
