• david (10/5): Happy in Dubrovnik. - A little oasis of peaceful relaxation in a very beautiful but busy Dubrovnik. Old garden is a very easy walk down to all the historic sites and it's very close to the path leading up to the viewpoint overlooking the city. The apartment has everything you need and is private clean and comfortable. It is also very quiet especially at night . Our host was friendly and knowledgeable he was a great help Thanks ! Nothing.
• Adele (10/5): A quiet little oasis not too far from the Old City walls - We were met by Zlatko on arrival and he showed us around the apartment and gave us some useful tips for our visit, plus a bottle of his excellent home made cherry brandy. My husband and I really enjoyed staying in the apartment which was ideal and has some lovely period fixtures, fittings and furniture. It had a huge bed and was light and airy with the added benefit of a pretty patio seating area next to the garden and orange trees which was a little oasis. We would definitely stay here again if we returned to Dubrovnik. As with many of the properties outside the Old City walls, there are quite a few steps to reach the property but it is worth it for what we thought was such a lovely place.

Zlatko kindly checked us in and had provided cold water and juice in the fridge, and a bottle of his homemade alcohol! Thank you for your hospitality! nothing!

It is well located, and Zlatko is a very accommodating host. The property is well equipped with everything you need (especially the kitchen). The property felt very secure and peaceful. We would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone planning a stay. The property was fantastic. And great value. The only points for improvement we found is that the dust and ants from summer in Dubrovnik do find their way into the apartment. There might be something which can be done there.

The host was out to welcome me, the very instant I was ringing the doorbell. All was prepared, and I did not feel I was left alone immediately. It was really easy. Nothing at all. Everything was perfect!

• Harry (10/5): I feel dangerously relaxed after my stay at Old Garden. - What a spot to be! Right off the bat Zlatko was an amazing host. He greeted us at the door to give us the keys, showed us around the apartment, and invited us to enjoy some of his home-made cherry brandy (which we had on the last night and it was delicious!). After leaving us he promptly sent through some dinner recommendations (upon request). From there we enjoyed our stay. It’s a small place but it has everything you need from a kitchen to wifi to a beautiful garden. In the scheme of Dubrovnik it’s in a pretty good location too. It’s about 15 mins walk to old town down a fair few stairs, but for the price I’d say it’s well worth the walk. There are some gorgeous beaches even closer than that as well. Ultimately if you’re looking for a nice place, great host, decent location, and - if you’re lucky - a very friendly dog then look no further than Old Garden.
• Sanika (10/5): Exceptional - Had a wonderful and stay! It was spacious and clean and the host was friendly and kind. It’s within 15 mins of the old town, however there’s quite a steep incline when walking back so keep that in mind. Would highly recommend.

It has everything you could need and the host was lovely and explained everything. He also left us water and apple juice which was greatly appreciated. • Michal (9/5): Nice apartment but in shared yard. Everything was fine. The place is close to every part of the town. - Very beautiful garden with sea view. Attentive host. Clean and a lot of toiletries for use. We spend a week there and worked two days. Wi-Fi was good. Not much kitchen equipment is available for cooking but we could handle it somehow. The apartment is not completely private as yard is shared with the family living there so people can be passing by the apartment window.

The host was extremely kind and responded very quickly to any questions/requests we asked/had. The seating arrangement in the garden was an added bonus. Perhaps we could do with a bit more worktop surface in the kitchen. However, it did not stop us from preparing our meal, we adapted and managed very well.

He was helpful in getting us to the airport when we had to leave as well. The property is a quick downhill walk to the old town and very safe. We had a very memorable time and would love to return one day.
• Heikki (10/5): Perfect holiday home - Apartment was very clean and quiet with all the necessary amenities, only thing missing was bread knife. The hosts were nice and helpful, they live upstairs. Only negative thing there is a lot of steps to climb to apartment but that is the case anywhere in Dubrovnik. So if you have trouble with your feet, maybe that's not the place for you, that goes for Dubrovnik too...

• Lauren4591 (10/5): Exceptional - This apartment was in a perfect location with an easy downhill walk to the old town and shops nearby. The apartment was quiet on an evening and had great air con to keep it cool in the summer months. This apartment was perfect for a stay in Dubrovnik. It was a secure location and had everything you could need for a self catering stay but also had easy access to bakeries and restaurants for eating out. Only improvement I can think of is that it would be better to have some blinds for the living room window so it is more private.

• Lucy (10/5): An Amazing Stay! - Absolutely stunning property with a beautiful outside space, equipped with everything we needed for our stay! We were welcomed by the host who showed us around the apartment and handed over the keys. Located well, close to a super market and a 15 min walk to old town, an 20 min walk to Banje beach and 30 min walk to Lapad.
• Myriam (10/5): Very nice place to stay especially for longer stays, if you want quietness and to cook for yourself - It’s a little appartment, super comfortable, the kitchen is fully equipped and there are 2 supermarkets nearby , so you can skip the expensive restaurants in town. The appartment is cosy and really nice to stay in, the bed is comfy too, and the garden is perfect to relax after a day of sightseeing in the beautiful yet crowded city of Dubrovnik. It’s only 15 minutes going to the city , the walk is nice. On the way back, it’s a bit uphill but Uber is extremely cheap. Also, most tours can pick you at the bus station , less than a minute walking.

• Helena (9/5): Superb - The apartment is a safe, hidden gem, with beautiful details. Even coffee, fruits, juice, delicious drink and shampoo was provided. The host lives in the same house and all communication etc. was so easy. I did not expect the "streets" to be narrow stairs, but especially on the departure day, access with a heavy luggage downhill was easy and quick to the airport shuttle bus (only 86 steps :) ) Uphill would be more difficult. A most friendly dog was really nice as well.

The property was lovely however there was lots of ants that were on the worktops and chair which resulted in me getting bitten a few times. However there was insect spray left in the property. Apart from this a lovely stay.

The window in the kitchen/open area was not covered however you need to pass it to get from the bedroom to the washroom. A couple of hooks to hang clothes or a towel In the bathroom would be beneficial.

It’s right outside of the city center and close to many shops. It’s always a small hike to get back from Old Town but it’s great price so I’m not complaining.

• Miihkel (10/5): An enjoyable stay - Old Garden was an awesome place to stay! The owner of the place, Zlatko, was super nice. He came to get us from the airport, brought to the apartment, showed us the rooms and gave a few tips for our stay in Dubrovnik. Also, there was some fruit, juice and homemade brandy waiting for us in the kitchen. We had a checkout time of 10 o'clock on the day we left Dubrovnik and our flight left at 5pm'ish, but Old Garden didn't have a reservation for the next night, so Zlatko let us use the room until it was time to go to the airport, much appreciated! The apartment was located hillside, a 10-15min walk from the old town. The nearest grocery store was only 100m from the apartment, and the start of the hike to Srd wasn't far either. The area was peaceful and we slept like babies.

The appartement is large, very comfortable and nicely decorated. We were just a short walk away from Dubrovnik old town.
