• Sam (7/5): The room was ok, I would not stay there again - Very spacious The property was advertised with a views as seen in the advertised photo. It wasn’t like that. It was advertised with a washing machine and that was one of the reasons I chose the property, there was no washing machine. The furnishings are old and getting tired.

Il est situé dans une zone à trafic limité et il est donc compliqué de se garer à proximité (il n’est plus possible de se garer dans le bas de la rue comme indiqué dans les précédents commentaires). La vue de la terrasse était un peu décevante, manque de visibilité comparé aux photos.

• Laura (9/5): Perfect location, beautiful views. We had the most magical stay. - Th location was incredible! Beautiful balcony overlooking Lokrum island. It was so peaceful. Perfect location. The host was amazing. Communication throughout. We struggled at first to find the apartment. I messaged and within minutes she came to collect us and show us to our room.

Das Apartment war recht großzügig und es fehlte an nichts. Die Vermieter waren sehr freundlich und haben bei Fragen immer schnell geantwortet. Wir kommen definitiv wieder!!

• Miguel Angel (6/5): Luces y sombras - Fundamentalmente la ubicación, a pesar de que hay q subir bastante, pero es Dubrovnik y ya sabemos que tiene cuestas y escaleras casi por cualquier sitio. Las vistas son bonitas pero quedan algo empañadas por el árbol que hay justo delante y hace perder bastante visión Deberían informar que la terraza no es privada. Lo venden como apartamento con terraza pero no dicen que esa terraza es la zona de entrada de su propia vivienda, que está justo al lado, por lo que están entrando y saliendo por la terraza cada que vez que tengan que entrar o salir de su casa, por lo que si buscáis intimidad y cenar tranquilos allí, no es el sitio adecuado, nosotros si llegamos a saber que era así, no lo hubiéramos reservado.

Många backar och många trappsteg från både bad och stad, mer än 350 trappsteg från stan. Trapporna från gatan upp till lägenheten var också många vilket var extra besvärligt med tunga resväskor. Inget för personer med dåliga knän och dålig kondition.
• George (10/5): A sweet apartment with a stunning view of the city and of Lokrum island. 5 mins walk from the old town but there are a l - It’s got a stunning view over the city and Lokrum and is far enough away from the centre of town that you don’t get the noise. It’s a good leg workout to get to the property! The walk from the old town is a very sweaty 5 minutes climbing up many, many stairs.

Had everything you need for a few comfortable days, fridge, aircon, washing machine, deck with table & chairs, best place to spend an evening, watching the sunset and boats. Was up an awful lot of steps from old Dubrovnik, was difficult to get cases up there. But the view made it worthwhile. Not suitable for elderly people, unless very fit.

• Lyndon (8/5): Room with a View - The views were amazing, very clean and comfortable stay. Great location with a 10 min walk into the old town. The property is located on a hill, so be mindful of the walk back up from the town. We didn't mind but would be quite hard for an elderly couple but taxis are available. The only criticism would be locating the property with a sign or number of the property to be listed at the bottom of the stairs as we were wandering around for a while trying to locate it.

• Aoife (6/5): Would recommend only for balcony - The main attraction of the apartment is the balcony, with stunning views. The bed is also very comfy. The hosts offered us an early check-in which was amazing and much appreciated in the heat! The apartment is very difficult to find, and only for a neighbour helping us we wouldn't of found it. We didn't know how to get back to the Old Town, and also weren't told details on how to dispose of rubbish etc. The apartment is small and could be stocked better. For example, you have to buy your own toilet roll, washing up liquid etc. It also wasn't very clean, with hairs etc in the kitchen. The shower is also very small.

• Andrew (5/5): Disappointed. - Location It’s Dubrovnik, the most popular place outside of Venice or Rome right now so you should probably expect places which are below standard elsewhere to be expensive here - but this place still wasn’t great. Nice family though, who just loved to move furniture and walls were thin. So noisy and the terrace is not private which was a real disappointment to discover after you check in. It was right outside the family owner’s front door.

Since the property was up top, we thought we’ll struggle with the stairs but it wasn’t too bad - it took us around 10 to 12 mins to reach the property from old town.

Our host was friendly and helpful. We liked the fact that this was in a residential area. Great view! We prefer a firmer mattress. This one was a bit soft and squeaky.

Just a quick 10-minute walk to Old Town, though an Uber back is perfect after a day of exploring. Fantastic value! Tough walk back after touring & heat- take an Uber!

• Oscar (10/5): Epic views and lovely hosts! - In terms of value for money I don't you can beat this spot. Amazing views on a peaceful road in a really spacious accomodation, it's class! We looked at other places to stay that were the other side of Old Town, further west but then you sacrifice views. We also looked at Old Town but it's €€€. So we ended up choosing here and it was perfect. Tino showed us the place and talked to us about the town and made us feel very welcome. There are some complaints about the amount of stairs to get from the beach to the apartment which is just a mental complaint. What do you expect with views like that? There's gonna be steps up and you actually feel all the better for it, even if you're rolling in from a wedding at 06:00... All in all a quality stay with best views in town. I highly recommend ubering from airport and back as it only works out a few € more expensive than the bus between 2 of you. Don't use the taxi rank at the airport, they were asking for €50 as opposed to the €22 we spent for one way. In terms of places to go, the swimming spots around the Old Town walls were out favourite as well as the beaches slightly further out of town, the main one next to Old Town was rammed but also nice. We'll be back, thanks for having us! Leaving Dubrovnik.

• Jpasweden (8/5): Very good - Everything was very good You should know a few things about dubrovnik before you go. The apartment is on a hill side so you have to walk up a lot of stairs to got there and down. This wasnt a problem for us, but should be mentioned. Most of apartments has this downside not only this apartment this is just how dubrovnik is built Exspensive Prices is like here (norway) or higher. Restaurant for two you should be aiming for 80-100 euros for a decent dinner and a glas of beverage.

• Ekstrom (10/5): A room with a beautiful view. - Nice apartment with terrace facing the green island of Lokrum and the blue Mediterranean. 450m from Dubrovnic Old town and a food store a few minutes walk away. Don't forget that Dubrovnik is built on a hillside so there will be stairs and halls to walk. Still a gorgeous city and a really nice apartment. The owners are super nice and helpful. We arrived at the apartment around midnight and got the best possible service. Going home!
• John (9/5): A Room With A View - We had a wonderful stay for 4 days in April in the upper apartment (yellow decor in the site photos). Marija was very welcoming and was at hand nearby and on WhatsApp if needed. The apartment is basic, but homely and very clean. The bed was king-sized and very comfortable. The shower cubicle is tight, but there was a good flow and the water hot. But the signature feature is the terrace with a view to die for! Having breakfast and an evening glass of wine in the open air with that view was a real treat. The location 10-15min walk away from the bustle of the Old Town was perfect for us. Yes, the shortest route (directly down to the Banje Beach area and along the shore) involves several hundred steps. However, an alternative route (and in some ways even more scenic one because of the view over the Old Town) that avoids the multitude of steps is to follow the steady slope of Ul. Kralja Petra Krešimira IV. In the evenings, when our legs were tired, we got an Uber back up the hill (€4-6 from near Ploče Gate). Regardless, there are still 60 steps up to the apt from the street below to negotiate, although there is also alternative access from behind/above via a steep laneway that services adjacent residences. Ul. Kralja Petra Krešimira IV is also home to: the cable car station (a trip to the top is a must! - if weather permits); a stop for the no. 10 bus to Cavtat (€4 if you don't have the Dubrovnik Pass, 20min journey - worth a visit!); a stop for the Platanus Airport Shuttle Bus (€10); and a left-luggage place if you don't want to make your way back up the hill on your last day (€5 per bag). These are all adjacent, 10min walk from the apt. Nearer the apt (less than 5min walk), there is a small supermarket with fresh bread and fruit and all the essentials. Public transport is easy and not expensive. Our Uber from the airport at 9:30pm on a Thu was €26 (30min journey). The return from outside the cable car station at 2:30pm on a Thu was €23. A welcome pack of basic essentials would be nice, particularly for late arrivals. A coffee pod machine would complement the wonderful terrace. But these are just minor suggestions and not complaints or dislikes :)

Very comfortable room, good kitchen, table and chairs. 4 seater settee. We could check in early and Marija and her son were helpful and friendly. All the stairs up from town kept us fit! Would definitely book again. No mirror in living room.

• Gustavo (8/5): Holidays with an amazing view - We loved the view and the terrace. It was worth every cent for that. The AC worked very well and it was good to have a local market nearby. It felt spacious and bright. I would go back. We felt the kitchen lacked a few items like a coffee maker and the shower box was small like in a cruise ship. And have to be prepared to walk many steps to get to the beach or the old town (ubers are also available). These were minor things. We really enjoyed our stay.

She saw me once leaving the appartment and offered to drop me in the old city with her car, it was much appreciated. No shampoo, shower gel and detergent to wash the clothes.

Had owners walking across our balcony to enter/exit their house and their was no view when seated. No view of city either from balcony. • Jordanlnorgrove (9/5): The most incredible view! - The view was EVERYTHING with this apartment. We spent a lot of time (mainly mornings and evenings) sitting on the large balcony just watching the boats come and go - we just couldn't get enough of it. The rest of the apartment was clean, fresh and had most things you would need. The kitchen was equipped enough for us to make breakfast every morning. The bathroom was functional, although the shower was a little tight. Wi-Fi was spot on. The location was just perfect - around a 7 minute walk down to the old town and a small supermarket at the bottom of the street. Getting back up the steps from the old town was a little harder, especially in the heat, but it was still worth it for the sea views. We just took our time. We found there's no way of avoiding steps and hills in Dubrovnik, unless you're staying right on the coast. The air con in the apartment was very much appreciated! The next guests were arriving late, so Marija allowed us to check-out late which was an amazing help. It meant we could actually do something with our last day and still have a shower and get our bags before heading to the airport. We really enjoyed our stay and have already recommended it to my parents who have booked to visit later in the year. Only a couple of small negatives - the beds were quite uncomfortable so I didn't sleep great during our stay, and if there were guests staying in the nearby apartments it could be a little noisy. I would say that regardless of these, I would still recommend staying here because of the location and balcony/view.

• Tahlia (6/5): Sea view not for all apartments - The host was very lovely and she made an effort to provide cake for us from her sons birthday party, which was delicious and much appreciated. Lots of space, couch, kitchen for cooking. Extra towels were provided on request. We booked this apartment looking at the pictures and thinking we were going to have a lovely sea view. However, the pictures are from the apartment above, and ours was lower so our sea view was obscured by the trees in the garden in front of the balcony. We didn't know at the time of booking that the balcony and acceas to the apartment is also acess to the hosts house and the hosts balcony. She did say that we were welcome to use it, and we did one night. But, after that we didn't feel comfortable using it as people came and went through the balcony.

• Graeme (8/5): Good value stay in Fabulous Dubrovnik - The apartment was simple but comfortable. Plenty of hot water in the shower room. Not a lot of cooking utensils but enough for us, with a hotplate and toaster. Really well positioned for the Ploce Gate. Unfortunately the weather was not good enough for us to sit out on the terrace, but it would have been lovely in the sunshine, overlooking the sea and Lokrum Island. Marija was a lovely host and very kind. A very good value stay for Dubrovnik. The only thing we would have changed was the weather on a couple of days!

The balcony is used by host family to enter their apartment but they didn't pass through this space very often at all during our stay There is a lot of stairs and would've been great to know that there is an alternative route that takes slightly longer but less intense This can is following ulica Kralja Petra kresimira I.V until the studentac shop then turn left rather than the more direct stairs route. Bed was comfortable but the mattress is a bit loud so can be noisy if someone turning in the middle if the night. If the mattress was changed this apartment would be perfect !

• Mau (9/5): Chill place to stay - The place is uphill which gives you a good Seaview, we can go a bit up to fully view the sunrise and sunset of old Town. The place is spacious and very clean. The host is absolutely friendly and helpful. She allowed us to leave our luggage in order to catch the night bus. I will come to stay here again next time. We can only see a bit old Town from balcony. If we can get the full view, gonna give it 10 out of 10.

• Ttn230 (10/5): Perfect location! - Very friendly, well communication and helpful host. She's kindly let us have luggages storage and arrange airport drop-off for us for our late evening flight. We were little worry about the distance to the old town in the beginning, but it turns out 5-10 min. walk only. About the same time walking to beautiful Benji beach, 5 min to grocery store - perfect location! We had a great time in Dubrovnik and really enjoyed our stay! Washing machine, or at least a hand wash bucket available would be great
