Guest Reviews
Metro a 10 minuti. Qualche difficoltà con lo scarico del bagno.

- Vesna (10/5): -
- Francesco Paolo (9/5): - Posizione davvero superlativa.
Supermercato a pochi passi nonché ristoranti e negozi.

- amita (10/5): I wish we stayed a little longer in this apartment - Very clean property ,all amenities are comfortable .Apartment is very spacious location of this apartment is amazing. You can literally step down and spend a whole evening just wandering around and taking in the charms of that Neighbourhood.
The hosts are very prompt and responsive to all the needs of the guests
- Beate (10/5): Quiet and comfortable apartment in walking distance to the vatican - The apartment is spacious, clean and comfortable. It has two beedrooms and a living room with a couch. My personal Highlights:
-It is quiet, as it's not facing the street, but some inner court
- The beds are very comfortable
- It' s about 20 minutes walking distance to the vatican/ St. Peter' s church
- You can easily get everywhere by metro (two Metro stations about 10 minute walking distance) and by bus (the bus line 81 is right in front of the apartment building) When we wanted to cook, the fuse blew several times. It was because with AC, oven and stove there were too many electrical devices in. Our advice: switch off the AC before cooking.
- Volkan (10/5): Romaya gelirsem, tekrar burada kalırım - Müthiş rahat ve konforluydu. Şampanya için ayrıca çok teşekkürler.. Yatak odasında klozet arızalıydı. Falat alternatif olduğu için sorun yaşamadık.
- James (9/5): Superb - Great location, Nice, responsive hosts, was perfect for our family trip to Rome.
- Mohammad (10/5): Exceptional -
- Funny_day (10/5): Domus Caecilia- via Cola di Rienzo, the right place to have a wonderful holiday in Rome - Easy to be reached from airport with a public Shuttle Bus SIT which you could take from Terminal 3 of Fiumicino airport and it let you go down at Vatican stop (second stop), which is some 10 min on foot far away from the apartment (easy with a maps application on the phone).
Location is in the very city center, near Vatican. You could reach both St Pietro Basilica and Vatican Museums by foot in 15min each, so you could easily go there at the opening hours when it is not so crowded. The same with St Angelo Castle.
Except for the Colosseum and Fori Romani for which we took the subway, all others must-see in Rome were easily for us to be reached by foot (longest way: about 40 pleasant minutes took us to go to Borghese Gallery), so the use of public transportation was not mandatory.
Apartment was very clean and comfy and kitchen had everything you could want. A microwave was at disposal.
There was not a view to the main street, but there were generous windows to large interior courts of the building which provided light and air. Also, by not having a view to the main street, the apartment was very quiet, probably the quietest location I have ever lived in during holydays, up until now.
We felt secure in the apartment. Entrance door and windows were properly equipped to ensure the security of guests and their goods. Also, the owner provided us with practical advice on how to avoid being victims while visiting the town or at the apartment.
Supermarkets, restaurants in the vicinity.
At the corner of the street, a restaurant (osteria) is able to provide tasty Italian food and drinks, including deserts, to take away , so you could enjoy the drinks and food in privacy of your apartment.
Hosts and all people were friendly, communicative all the time. We spent quality time in Rome and, if we come back, we will stay at Domus Caecilia again, if available. There is really nothing to be mentioned here.
Yes, there were some 30 steps to step up with luggage until we reached the elevator, but we knew about it from the Booking site and we had appropriate luggage to be climbed, so there was no problem.
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional - Very helpful owner & good location.
- Iveta (10/5): Perfect stay to discover the Rome - Perfect stay to discover the Rome. The host provided everything and stayed invisible at the same time.
- Ewa (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment met my requirements. It was clean, very comfortable, and had a well equipped kitchen. Perfect place to stay for a few days with kids in Rome.
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- 인 (3/5): Poor - Good location No view from the window and we were refused to be provided one more set of towel so we had to use the same towels for three nights.
- David (10/5): We really enjoyed our stay in the Vatican area of Rome. - The location was great. The flat is in a very nice old building and suited our needs perfectly. There are many grocesery shops nearby. The host was very nice and friendly. As we had a lot of luggage, a lift from the ground (rather than first) floor would be useful, but this didn't cause us any problems.
- Sally (9/5): Superb -
- Giacomi (10/5): Great area , near shops and attractions - It was very clean and comfortable
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Scott (9/5): Perfect location and very quiet. We had a excellent time. Thank god it had AC!! - Excellent communication. Nothing.
- Agne (9/5): Superb -
- Oksana (7/5): Good - Good location. Big and comfortable apartment. Very nice responsible owner. Clean enough
Coffee , biscuits and a bottle of wine was a nice surprise.
Very quiet. In the kitchen were opened bottles with oil, some vinegars, some boxes with the rest of some dry food, creakers and so on. I don't think guest would like to use it. It was better to keep the kitchen empty cause all this does not make the kitchen fresh.
- Jc (7/5): Overall nice property with a great location, Good value for the money! - A microwave would be nice. The metal bars on the windows which appeared locked would be an issue in the case of a fire. As someone in the safety field the egress options seemed quite limited , if not , a published evacuation procedure for guests would be a positive for all properties including this one. Property was a little dusty , could have been cleaner,
- Donna (1/5): NOT SAFE beware!! All of our purchases were stolen inside locked apartment!! - location Not safe or secure. Someone broke in that either had a key or code to the apartment and knew when we were leaving. All of our purchases were stolen when we were out on our last day. We had double checked the apartment was locked before we left. Purchases were made in another city prior to going to Rome and were inside luggage. No one would have known we had them unless they came in and looked around the apartment and in bags.
The thief took the time to remove all items from boxes and put boxes back empty. Obviously this was done before and people probably thought they were stolen on a plane or something. Owner was not only complacent but then tried say it couldn’t have happened and ultimately tried to discredit us before we left this review by reporting to booking.com that we took the keys from the lockbox. little did they know I took pictures of the entire apartment including leaving the keys before I left. He is either willfully lying or not willing to admit his lockbox is not secure.
This apartment has no insurance to protect you per the owner. They owner was “unable” to come to the apartment when the incident happened. We filed a police report and have contacted the consulate. We travel to Italy yearly and stay all over. Nothing like this has ever happened. This is not a safe rental.
- Mankoo (8/5): Very good -
