Guest Reviews
- Michael (9/5): Very enjoyable stay in the apartment. - Good central location. Bus routes nearby (no metro) but location means you can reach most Rome sites on foot. Pleasant, lovely apartment. Nice decor. WiFi. CD player with nice selection of jazz CDs. Nice bakery / patisserie / small cafe, Tigre supermarket, gelato shop….. all a few steps from front door. 1. The bathroom and toilet are en-suite within the main double bedroom. This means that during the night the third guest (who sleeps in the separate single bedroom) must enter the main bedroom to access the bathroom and toilet. There is only a light curtain to draw across to screen the double bed from the bedroom door for nighttime when the third guest may need use the bathroom and toilet. This situation is not ideal and could easily and relatively cheaply be improved by removing the curtain and installing a basic stud wall partition with door or even the installation of very inexpensive folding room divider. 2. A minor issue was the lack of a microwave in the kitchen. 3. Also, we were surprised that the advertised “coffee maker” was actually a small 3 espresso cup Bialetti stove top Moka Express which can barely make half a mug of coffee. The provision of a basic 6 / 8 / 10 cup coffee plunger / cafetiere would be a big improvement. 4. On our arrival, the kitchen tea towel wasn’t clean and inside the press we found other tea towels contained in a plastic bag which were quite filthy. We washed these in the washing machine but never used them. Instead, we purchased paper kitchen towels which we used throughout our stay.
- ralph (5/5): Die Lage ist top. Alles zu Fuß zu erkunden. Mini Markt direkt um die Ecke. - Top Lage Sauberkeit und Ausstattung. Zum Teil ungepflegte Unterkunft. Dreckiger Teppich und Duschvorlage. Durchgelegene Matratzen.

- Lokalizacja super, spokojnie cicho, bezpiecznie, blisko doskonałe miejsca na śniadanie włoskie i kawę, super na wieczorny obiad. Dobrze działające centralne ogrzewanie (styczeń) małe okna i żółty kolor ścian sprawiały odczucie ciemnego mieszkania. Za miękki materac w łóżku dwuosobowym.
- Ruth (6/5): - Location was good. Building was beautiful. No wifi, twin bed was uncomfortable , dishwasher was broken, showerhead would not stay up. This place could be very nice with better maintenance.
Stoviglie usurate. Doccia senza mensola
- Lois (10/5): Beautiful apartment in a historic palazzo, walking distance to anything you’d want to do and see in Rome. - Beautiful historic palazzo in an excellent location, close to everything we wanted to see or do. The apartment is a bit dark because it doesn’t get direct sunlight due to the windows facing an inner courtyard (which has a gorgeous fountain).
- Françoise (8/5): - location, historical palace, facilities no quilt cover, just sheets, and feathers inside the quilt

- Halla (7/5): A hot and somewhat messy but stylish apartment in a good location - The employee was easy to talk to and friendly. The apartment has a large kitchen and a balcony overlooking the courtyard. There is a small grocery store on the ground floor of the house. The apartment is in a good location, close to cultural attractions and the house is quiet. The apartment is stylish and pleasant. The shower head did not stay in its holder when showering because the water pressure of the shower caused it to come off. The apartment was not very clean, for example the floors and the hand sink were dirty. There is no air conditioning in the apartment, so it was really hot in September. The doorway was really narrow, so if you're a bigger person, you won't be able to fit in the door properly.
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rudi (9/5): Ideal location in historical centre - Excellent location in quieter area of the Historic Centre yet within easy walking distance of attractions including Vatican, Trastevere and Ghetto. Both the location within Rome as well as the location within the building beside a tranquil courtyard was excellent. Efficient communication and arrangements via Whatsapp. The is a very good Pasticceria across the road and a few handy take aways and small supermarket nearby nothing
- Anish (5/5): Great location but apartment needs major updates - Good location, everything walking distance. Don’t have to spend money taking taxis or public transport Only one mirror in bathroom, no full length
Beds are quite hard and pillows aren’t comfortable
Very very noisy! Can hear people above walking and it did make the wardrobes shake in the double bedroom, felt like the ceiling was going to collapse.
Duvets covers are weird - just put one big one instead of having duvet sandwiched between two sheets
After showering, water goes all over the bathroom floor. Would be good to block off the little gap.
Also little shelf in shower would be good to put products.
Sofa is quite worn out- needs updating.
Rug in living room is dirty
Lots of random Bric a brac everywhere- it does add a charm but does make it feel bit creepy.
Bidet is very weak, no point of having it there.
Dust on the floors in the living room
Squeaky doors, use WD40 or similar product
- Craig (7/5): I had a rad time and would love to stay longer. Our host Ricardo was super helpful too. - The location was ideal. The beds weren’t what I was used to and I could smell the paint fumes from the restoration company below the apt.
- Bateman (9/5): Fantastic! - Fantastic location. There is a little smell of aging furniture etc but it is very clean!
- Luis (6/5): All in all, a GREAT place to stay in when you are in Rome. Great location, very good property! - I really enjoyed the location. The property is in the very heart of the Navona district, which makes it a breeze to walk anywhere and everywhere... The property has a real nice traditional feel to it, with very high ceilings just like an Italian Palazzo should have. With all its charm and inner patio, it was perfect for what we needed when staying in Rome for tourism purposes.
The beds were really nice, the linen was perfectly clean and very comfortable. I wasn't overly keen on the fact that there is clearly a television screen in the photos, yet it isn't working at all.
Also, don't get overly keen on the "coffee machine"... it's a coffee pot to put on the hob. It works fine, but I was expecting an espresso machine, or even a Nespresso... but hey... such are the intricacies of expectations... sometimes they're foiled...
Once again, there is a dishwasher on the property, yet, it is out of commission.
The toaster is slightly melted, but usable.
The fridge works very well and so does the cooking top.
The hood over the cooker doesn't work properly, so they've "jerry-rigged" a lamp on it so you can see what you are doing when cooking on the stove.
All minor things that I think can be fixed to make it a great place to stay.
One thing I think you should be aware, though I do understand it is part of the property and nothing can be done easily, the floors are of tiled stone, so it'll be cold in the winter, and the windows aren't great, so some cold inside is to be expected.
The heating is good, it does help, but according to the law, you cannot bring it over 20ºC/60F. Which would have been useful, given the cold floors...
- Cora (10/5): Exceptional -
- Henderson (8/5): Very good for a few days in Rome. - A good location full of character. No hot water in the bathroom sink, and a broken coffee maker.
- Targol (6/5): Pleasant -
- Lorraine (8/5): Tarnished gem in fabulous central location. Leaves you wanting to explore more. Perfect for people who like taking the b - The location was amazing. Very central to key places including rome termini. The neighbourhood had all conveniences, cafes, bars restaurants and had a great vibe. The property was safe, roomy and had lovely antique touches. Good wifi and hot showers. Comfortable bed with two power points. The property would benefit from some basic maintence, light in bathroom, culling and updating of kitchen supplies, cutlery and crockery, but mostly refit of couch which was worn and grubby, and dining chair covers. Second half of front door needs to open readily to facilitate entry with luggage.
- Piotr (9/5): Superb - Very nice and clean place in a city center. It was a plessure to spend our time there.
- Davide (6/5): Pleasant - The location and overall the property Small, not accessible (stairs without an elevator), NO A/C and minimal ventilation
- Elisabeth (9/5): perfect location, all main attractions in walkable distance, very spacious and quiet apartment - perfect location, very quiet, spacious apartment mould in the shower
- Matt (8/5): great apartment and location - will stay again - great character and location some equipment broken - coffee maker needed a replacement
- Amy (5/5): although the location and facilities great, the noise, level of cleanliness and comfort made for a less comfortable stay - facilities were good such as the washing machine and cooking equipment. the location was also a good safe spot heaps of nice little restaurants close by and a short walk to many of the landmarks. the apartment has very minimal natural light and feels very dark. the standard of cleanliness was not what I would expect from a b&b property. we found the bed to be a weird size and our feet hung off the end. the shower was really hard to use as the temperature was tricky to get right and the shower head doesn’t sit in the holder properly. I’ve seen this mentioned in older reviews so maybe the owner could address this for the next person. there is also a central door to the apartment building which slams very loudly every time someone enters or exits the building which seemed to happen at all hours of the day and night which disrupted our sleep. you can also hear the neighbours on the floor above walking around. the doorway is also really narrow so getting your suitcases inside is a real struggle.
- Hester (10/5): cosy stay in best neighbourhood - cosy, clean, beautiful building
- Petar (8/5): Very good - Clean and functional. Excellent location - pretty much every tourist attraction is on a walking distance. Extremely responsive host. The entry door for the apartment was very small and hard to pass through for big people or people with problems with the moving.
- Natalia (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (9/5): We had a lovely stay! - Traditional, cosy, nice area, good location. Not much natural light.
- Darren (10/5): Amazing property to match the history of the city. - Stunning, traditional home in the heart of the city. Stunningly quiet except for the trickle of the fountain in the courtyard. Moments from all the action yet in a quiet street to escape the noise.
- Alison (10/5): Perfect for a week in Rome! - This apartment is in the loveliest little corner, with really great restaurants in a quiet but very central neighborhood. We felt very safe in the area (and in the building) and it was clean and the wifi worked well. Everything was great.
- Anonymous (7/5): amazing apartment - beautiful, safe location within walking distance from the main sites. very little natural light and can be noisy at times
- Maxime (7/5): Good -
- Bridget (6/5): The flat was homely but the noise issue let it down. - The location was great and near to all the sites we wanted to visit In master bedroom we were woken each day between 5 and 6am by the sound of someone moving trollies around in adjacent room. This continued on and off throughout the day.
Also no safe way of making coffee as 3 percolators there had no handles. The shower was poor due to unsupported shower head. Apartment darker and smaller than looked in photos.
- Cinzia (10/5): Fantastic location for visiting Rome - Fantastic location in a lovely historical palace. A very comfortable flat for our party of 3 kept cool during the hot days of summer thanks to the old style architecture (although fans were also provided). Previous reviews mentioned the lack of privacy for the main bedroom when using the bathroom. We easily resolved this issue by carrying some clothes pegs and hanging a spare sheet to give privacy.
The kitchen is properly kitted for indoor eating. We had Napoletan street food from FIORE Piazza Pollarola, just off Campo dei Fiori (DO TRY IT, it is fantastic).
The area is surrounded by amazing food outlets to meet any budget and we always felt safe walking in the area, even later at night.
You can walk to most Rome attractions from here or the bus stop is only a very short walk away, which also takes you to Roma Termini Station in about 15 minutes. Be aware that the streets around are cobbled, so it might be arduous with big wheeled suitcases.
