• Nicci (7/5): Great but loud! - Plenty of spacious bedrooms and 2 x bathrooms. Very good location, literally one street down from Spanish Steps and Spagna metro station. It was so noisy all the time, we were woken up at 3am each morning and the windows don’t close properly so it was so loud. Also four flights of stairs after a marathon was a bad decision on my side!

Location again was okay just slightly off the beaten track cleanliness again okay? - The size of the flat was good, if you are travelling with a small group or family Main thing was the stairs, although it states on Booking.com that you have to go up the stairs to get to the apartment there is a lot of stairs and if you are older or with small children, this would be a problem as it was for us. Check out I think if they could offer just luggage holding for a couple of hours would be great. It cost us nearly £40 just to put our luggage into hold for three hours while we explore the city before we flew out.

• Melissa (1/5): DO NOT STAY HERE! UNCLEAN DISGUSTING CONDITIONS - Nothing. It was terrible and unhygienic. Would never recommend or have stayed if we knew how bad it was. We thought it would be ideal for the location, but for the extreme sound at night and the disgusting conditions, we would rather have stayed an hour away and commuted in. All 7 people in our party were up all night and extremely upset by the conditions we found. Do not stay here at all costs. It was disgusting. Nothing like the pictures indicate. Not maintained at all, and not cleaned. Pictures speak for themselves (look through to see the ants and bathroom fixtures). Upstairs bathroom had an ant infestation, and I only captured a few of the steady stream of ants. The bathroom fixtures are mouldy and dirty - an infection waiting to happen. Kitchen sink is stained and dirty. Kitchen counters and table are cracked and broken. Linens and pillows are uncomfortable and no cushioning, your head will literally be on the bed. We had to roll up towels to sleep on. The walls have dirty hand prints, marks and cracks all over. We sat on a chair and we actually fell through on to the floor. Air conditioning controls had no batteries so we had to ask for batteries to be dropped off at the door. We were a party of 7 and only provided 1 key until I asked for a second. It is so loud at night you will be up the whole night, even with earplugs. It’s at least 5 very long flights of stairs up to the unit, and it is really really difficult. When it rains, the window grates in the stairwell let the rain in so the marble stairs are super slippery. Absolutely worst stay of our entire 3 week trip. If we had seen the conditions earlier, we would never have stayed, but we dropped our bags off and left as we only had an afternoon in Rome and only saw how bad things were once we came home late at night.

• Maarten (6/5): Jammer - De plek vlak bij de Spaanse trappen. Super centraal. Gevaarlijke bedrading in keuken. Verlengsnoer aan verlengsnoer met stekkerdoos waar oven, waterkoker, koffiemachine en magnetron op zijn aangesloten. Dat brandde bij gebruik door met een flinke vuurstraal als gevolg. Gelukkig werkte de aardlekschakelaar en kregen we direct een nieuwe stekkerdoos!? Douchedeuren sluiten niet goed en vuil hoopt zich daarin op. Hoewel tijdens verblijf gerepareerd, bleef wc spoelknop haperen en onnodig water verspillen. Foto's kloppen niet meer. Bedden zijn anders, de mooie kroonluchters ontbraken. Een tip: de eigenaar stelde tijdens ons verblijf dat het app. Slechts voor 6 personen is terwijl er 8 slaapplaatsen zijn. Wij waren met 7 personen en na het betalen van een extratoeslag was alles weer in orde. Houd daar rekening mee. Neem ook je eigen theedoeken mee, die zijn niet aanwezig. We mochten een badhandoek gebruiken gelukkig.
• Raquel (8/5): Buena opción para ir en grupo - La ubicación y la distribución para un grupo de 7 personas que íbamos. Camas cómodas, mesa grande para poder comer todos juntos, muy espacioso. Facilidad para dejar las maletas antes del checkin. Anfitrión pendiente de todo y en continuo contacto, eso es de agradecer. Faltaría una toalla más grande ( dejan una de ducha y otra de tocador), faltaría una intermedia. El personal de limpieza un poco antipático.

• Trifficvision (8/5): If you want to discover Rome this is a good place to stay! - It was in the city center, one block away from the Spanish steps. About 15 minute walk from the Piazza Venezia and if you take the Lime Scooters or bikes you could go anywhere within 20 minutes. Rome is a beautiful city with so much to discover, so this is an awesome place! The Apartment was on the 3rd floor and the building didn't have an elevator. We had a small child and 3 elderly people travelling with us, so this was a challenge.. Don't know how to change that, but that was the only thing that made staying there a bit difficult. The location is a very good one, but it also is hard to find a restaurant there that isn't a tourist trap and overcharges you for everything.

• An (10/5): Great stay - A beautiful apartment in the heart of Rome next to the Spanish Steps. The apartment is located on the third floor without an elevator, but in the central part all the buildings are antique. The property consists of four bedrooms (two on the first floor and two on the second floor), two bathrooms, a living room and a kitchen. All rooms are tastefully furnished in a pleasant style. There are restaurants around the property, but we did not have a problem with noise. The kitchen had everything we needed including a coffee machine with capsules, for which we are very grateful. The shower in the bathroom on the first floor needs to be fixed so that the handset can be used.

• Victoria (5/5): 4th Floor No elevator! - Its on the 4th floor! No elevator! First 2 sets of stairs don't count apparently but you still have to go up them with suitcases. So that's 4 steep floors.The apartment only has a/c in bedrooms. Living room is scorching hot. Called to get help and no response the whole night. The only nice part of this apartment is the bedrooms. Except the pillows. Living room and dining room are not in good condition. Old, cheap and damaged, not like in the pictures. Kitchen and bathrooms are old. I personally would not stay here again. Location is great.

• Nicholas (8/5): Fantastic location and lovely stay - Simple and easy to access and very central location. The apartment was close to all the action, with restaurants and coffee shops on the door step. The rooms were large, the facilities available included white goods like a washing machine and it covered all the needs... The apartment was a little more tired than the pictures showed, with scuffs and creaky furniture. Be aware of the three flights of stairs (we were and no complaints), but the main issue was that it was not a soundproof apartment - being above shops and restaurants, it was very noisy until late and from very early - be aware if you value sleep! This is specifically mentioned in the description hence why noted.

The property was not available until after 5.30pm which was quite inconvenient. If you are travelling with the elderly, the property is located on the top floor and there is no lift. This was not mentioned anywhere. It was very difficult for my elderly mother to climb few flights of stairs each time.

• Barbara (8/5): We loved the location and helpfulness of the agency when we were locked out. Bedrooms were spacious - The location was excellent, close to the Spanish steps. There were restaurants and a grocery store nearby as well as many nice shops. It was also close to a Metro stop. One night, the door lock didn't work, but the rental agency came and got it repaired. There was a seating area around a dining table, but there wasn't a living room.

Great communication with host. Close to Metro and all popular locations/restaurants. Access to taxi right out of the door makes it easy for language. Its in 3rd floor without lift, not bad but something you can consider if you have any disabled people. Can be more cleaner as some places are dusty.

• Tovi (10/5): Cool, spacious apartment in an awesome neighborhood! - Very cool, spacious apartment in a great location, 1 block from Spanish Steps and by excellent restaurants and shopping. Vibrant neighborhood! A/C worked well on a very hot day. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, and both bathrooms were clean. Felt extremely secure and safe. Great for 6 of us. Our host kept great communication with us, allowed an early luggage check in, and answered plenty of questions about taxis, airport, etc which was greatly appreciated. Clear entry/check in instructions too! We were ready for it, but a little noisy at night due to vibrant restaurant scene and live music. We were also ready for this, but be ready to carry your luggage all the way up to the top level.

Lack of the elevator to get to the apartment. I guess more so that it wasn't disclosed in the description of the apartment. Also that the upstairs had low ceilings especially for the tall boys.

• Pauline (9/5): It was great! - Apartment is exactly as listed. We really enjoyed being able to crash at a clean beautiful home after all of the sightseeing. The location was perfect. It didn’t bother me, however you can hear noise from the rooms downstairs. I actually enjoyed hearing the live music at night.
• Arthompson (8/5): Great base for exploring Rome. - Great communication from the hosts, even allowed us to drop our bags off earlier than check in. Good size communal area. Great location, less than 5 minute walk to Spanish Steps. 15 minute walk to Villa Borghese park and 15 minutes to Pantheon. Good location for exploring city. Not a problem for us as only stopped 1 night and had hand luggage, however there are 3 flights of stairs that if you had a heavy case may cause a problem.

The first mention of its being on the third floor was when I received instructions on how to access the building and get the key. Three of our party were in their 70s And found it difficult hauling big suitcases up to the third floor. The fact that the apartment was on the third floor was never mentioned when promoting it on line

The rooms were very cold even with the ACs turned off and the radiators wouldn't turn on. Minimal windows made us miss the natural light. The rooms look much bigger and brighter in the photographs than in reality.

• Hazleena (8/5): Great place to stay if you want to be in a central location. - Great location, right by the Spanish Steps, with lots of shops, restaurants, and the metro nearby. Spacious and clean rooms, bathrooms, kitchen. You have to walk up 3 flights of stairs so if you have heavy luggages it’s difficult. There’s no aircon in the dining area.

• Kim (7/5): Large family apartment in central location. - Large apartment with everything in the best location in Rome. Metro to Colosseum and Vatican saved the kids walking legs in the Summer heat. The property does have lots of stairs with no lift. The upstairs rooms have very low ceilings, our teens are all quite tall so they had to watch their head.

The upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms have _very_ low clearance. Most of our group is 6 feet tall and multiple people hit heads on the non-standard height doorways and ceilings.

Easy to walk to all the attractions from the apartment. 2 spacious bedrooms, the others a little less headroom for adults. Only one 2 seater sofa for 6 adults to collapse on after a day of walking! No sitting room, just a dining area. Not enough cups and wine glasses in kitchen. Only small issues but really needed the sofas!

• Susan (7/5): Group of friends for a birthday gathering. - Location was excellent. Lovely restaurants and bars outside the door. The steps up to the apartments with an older group of people. Shower was a little slippy. Could have been warmer at night. Beds could have been more comfortable.
