Joe (9/5): We had a wonderful time in Rome and the apartment fitted our needs - The apartment was very spacious the host was very nice and accommodating. The apartment perhaps needs updatiing a little in a couple of areas perhaps a lick of paint here and there especially the outside table and perhaps an information folder would be good

Mauricio (8/5): Very good - The place is perfect to use it as a hub while visiting other more hyped places. There are a couple of attractions nearby and, if you like walking like us, then other places are reachable without public transport. The apartment was well equipped with all the necessary things to cook and get by for a short stay. The apartment is huge, even for 3 adults, and having 2 bathrooms was a blessing at the times when we needed to get ready early in the morning. Thank you Paolo for your kindness and for accommodating our special wishes during our stay! We would definitely come back the next time we are in Rome.

Troy (1/5): booking.com should have helped us with this issue. - nothing! the property is in a bad part of town. the manager gave us instructions from the public transit and we walked through what seemed to be very unsafe surroundings. they did not turn the A/C on before we arrived so it was very hot in the unit. we were told that if we used the oven or any appliances we needed to turn the A/C off or the breaker would trip. if the main breaker (power supply) tripped there was a place in the lower level to reset it (yikes). We stayed in the unit for 5 minutes after the manager left. we made arrangements for another place through booking.com. we tried to cancel the reservation and described in detail the issues that made the unit unsatisfactory. they offered us a 50% discount for the three day stay. I responded with a counter offer and they never responded until after the three days had gone by. then they wouldn’t refund anything to us. we used booking.com for the replacement reservation and it was very nice. we ended up paying more than double because we didn’t get any refund for this place. booking.com should do a better job of making sure that places that they handle the bookings on are more than just a doctored picture and in a safe area.
