• Hermenegildo (8/5): É BELLA ROMA. - Los anfitriones Cesare y Dileta extraordinarios. El último día hubo un corte de agua en el edificio y muy amablemente nos trajeron agua en botellas y nos procuraron otro apartamento muy cerca de donde estabamos. La situación magnífica del apartamento en pleno barrio Judio, a 20 metros de la fuente de las Tortugas y equidistante de todos los sitios más emblematicos de Roma, ibamos andando a todos lados. Tiene ascensor, raro en un edificio tan antiguo. El interior es supermoderno con suelo de parqué , muy cómodas las camas, cocina muy amplia y cómoda para desayunar, etc. La distribución interior con2 habitaciones independientes con sus camas, NO sofá-cama, y 2 aseos, dificil de encontrar en roma. No habia un tostador en condiciones, solo una sandwichera. Deberia tener una cafetera italiana un poco mayor de las 2 pequeñitas que hay. La campana extractora necesita de una limpieza en profundidad. Hay que revisar las sillas de la cocina pues alguna se desarma y poner alguna mesita baja en el sofá para poder tomarte un cafe o una cerveza mientras ves la tele. Tambien convendría asegurar las barras de las cortinas pues se cayó una al correrlas. El agua caliente en un aseo no funcionaba. En definitva es un apartamento precioso pero necesita a mi entender un repaso más exhaustivo antes de entragarlo a los nuevos inquilinos. El precio es un poco caro pero el sitio y la distribución interior casi lo justifica.

Il giorno del nostro arrivo mancava l'acqua completamente. I gentili proprietari si sono premurati di trovarci una nuova sistemazione ma abbiamo dovuto spostarci ogni notte e soggiornare in una zona pur bella per noi scomodissima . Avremmo preferito essere avvisati al mattino prima del nostro arrivo in modo da poter cercare una soluzione più adeguata alle nostre esigenze.

• Michela (7/5): Ottima posizione, ma migliorabile nella cura - La struttura è in una posizione davvero centrale, l’appartamento ben organizzato (due camere, due bagni e una cucina grande). Anche l’accoglienza e la disponibilità dei proprietari sono state molto apprezzate. Purtroppo però la pulizia non era all’altezza delle aspettative: abbiamo trovato polvere in più punti, capelli e residui in bagno, oltre a stoviglie non perfettamente pulite. Anche la biancheria da letto non era sistemata al meglio, il che ha reso il soggiorno meno confortevole. Inoltre le finestre non si chiudono correttamente, si sentono tutti i rumori della strada. A questo si aggiunge il fatto che ci è stato chiesto esplicitamente di lasciare una recensione da 10/10, cosa che ci ha messo un po’ a disagio. Nel complesso è una struttura con grande potenziale, ma che ad oggi non rispecchia il punteggio alto che ha. Con un po’ più di attenzione alla cura e alla pulizia potrebbe davvero fare la differenza.

Y calentito casi no pusimos calefacción. Es muy amplio nos sentimos como en casa. La anfitriona súper atenta a cada momento. Lo recomiendo mucho.
• IRANTZU (10/5): Situacion Inmejorable para conocer Roma - La ubicación de alojamiento es inmejorable.. Esta cerca de todo, a 20 minutos andando del Coliseo, a 11 minutos andando del Panteon, a 11minutos de Trastevere, a 15 minutos de la Fontana de Trevi..No hemos tenido que utilizar transporte público para nada. Supermercados al lado de la casa. La anfitriona siempre pendiente de nosotros. Por poner una pega, el menaje de cocina es escaso y necesita actualización y el sofa cama un poco duro.

• James (10/5): I would stay here again, very comfortable and close to everything - This place was within walking distance to all the major attractions in Rome. Lots of delicious restaurants nearby. Very close to public transportation to get to the train station. Had a fully equipped kitchen. Absolutely nothing, everything was great.
• Hillel (9/5): Superb - The location was perfect. We went by foot to almost all of the sights we wanted to see. Caesar our host was very accommodating and made us feel truly at home. The two bathrooms made things easier - didn’t need to queue up in the morning :) The bathrooms are very compact, was a bit of a squeeze for larger people like me. But in the end it was just a small detail.
• Shay (10/5): We were very lucky to find such amazing hosts and apartment! - The owner met us at the property and kindly told us about the area. He had a homemade cake and tea waiting for us too. We enjoyed the location in the Jewish Ghetto and the recommendations of kosher restaurants nearby. Our experience was so great that we returned again at the end of our trip. This time there were kosher cookie’s waiting for us. The extra thought and care was so nice. Cesar and his wife were very friendly and we were so happy to meet them. They really made us feel at home in Rome! Staying in the Jewish Ghetto was the highlight of our trip to Italy! No complaints, it was perfect for our needs!

The beds were comfortable in each of the bedrooms. The sofa couch was uncomfortable to sleep on. The showers were small making it difficult to move around but that is not something the host can change.

• R (8/5): Great well stocked apartment in Central Rome - Location was great proximity to most of the tourist sites and decent amount of restaurant options in few block radius. The Tartarughe Bar and Cafe was great only a few meters away around corner. Generous amount of supplies, hand soap, dish soap, napkins, salt, pepper, olive oil, ground coffee, etc. Bags to grocery shop and carry things home. The pots and pans were adequate, as well as the basic utensils. The Bialleti moka was great to make coffee. Hosts provided a small cake for our first day, as well as a bottle of beer and disaranno amaretto in fridge, which was nice. Beds were comfortable, plenty of pillows and blankets for everyone. The washing machine was great, allowing us to pack less and clean to re-wear clothes. Overall was a great value for the number of guests we had. Would recommend to friends and family visiting Rome. Could have been a couple more sitting options in the living room beyond the pull out couch and single chair. The main bathroom was a little worn, could use some fresh paint. The kitchen was well stocked, but was missing a cutting board and a chefs style knife, which would have been helpful. The nespresso machine didn't work well, or it may have been the old generic/plastic pods. The Bialleti worked well for the daily coffee instead.

Air-conditioning worked very well. To make the check in process faster, a small booking.com sign on the door buzzer or information of which buzzer to ring on arrival.

Bed were also super comfy. They also provided a lot of towels (many places skimp on towels and it’s annoying) The windows weren’t that soundproof but the noise didn’t bother us much.
• Damian (6/5): Pleasant - Friendly and helpful host, Barbara. Clean apartment. Positive location, 10 mins from Pantheon. Quite large apartment, enough for 5 people. Noise in the night - nearby restaurants, noise from the street, neighbors upstairs having a party up to 4am, all of this made us unable to sleep almost at all. Water in the shower is jumping (cold-hot) but it is manageable to take a shower.
• Rosslyn (4/5): I would not recommend this property to my friends as I was disappointed. - the location was great to get around and see sites. There was not enough linen supplied. for 4 people and for 6 nights . Having no clothes dryer it was very hard to wash linen. There was not enough cups and we had to buy wine glasses so we could have wine with dinner. lLimited kitchen cutlery as well. The iron was broken so when you filled the water it ran straight out. All our taxi drivers and transfer drivers could not park close by so there was always confusion .

Host very kind and excellent response time. Condition of the foyer, stairs and landing (not the apt) were the opposite of the beautifully clean, well-cared-for apt. Must be prepared for noise late at night: groups of people talking loudly and the noise of what sounded like restaurants dumping glass in containers (?)

• Sandeep (10/5): Comfortable Place in a Perfect Location - The location is PERFECT. It is walking distance to everything you’d want to see in Rome from the Colloseum to the Vatican. The beds were comfortable which was nice after a long day of walking around. No issues for me. Just be aware that there is an extra charge for late check in.
• Anonymous (8/5): Our family enjoyed our visit and would stay again in this space that accommodates more people than most places. - Spacious to accommodate multiple people. Nice area with many shops and restaurants within walking distance. Beautiful bright decor. Nicely stocked kitchen and very accommodating hosts that recycled the trash for us when we left on a non trash collection day, and were very flexible with our flight delay check-in time, and also greeted us with fresh juice and pastry. The two main bedroom mattresses are extremely comfortable! Most of our family are over 6 feet tall, so the showers felt small, but most people are not as tall. Both shower drains plug up very easily and need to be cleaned after ever use. The EXTREME fluctuation in water temps while showering was the biggest concern, going from very hot to very cold within a few seconds. The couch/sofa bed is beautiful but not very comfortable to sleep on, and it creaks with every movement, making it more difficult to sleep.

• Anonymous (8/5): We loved Barbara and the location a lot. it made our stay in Italy amazing! Grazie! - We loved Barbara and how kind she was. she was very responsive to our questions. We loved Piazza Mattei and the location to so many sites. We mainly walked to everything. A few times we took taxis. we loved having a fridge, kitchen and sitting area. The shower is small especially for my 6 foot 2, large husband. The shower heads were a bit clogged as well. It can be noisy in the alley way early in the am which faces the bedroom windows.

We started chatting well before the date of arrival, coordinating what time and where to meet. She accommodated our earlier arrival (thank you so much!) and then showed us the apartment. It is so lovely! 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, perfect for 2 couples traveling together. Clean and bright with perfectly placed lights and comfortable furniture and beds. The apartment is on the first floor (just one floor up from street level) so it is easy to drag bags up and down. There is a small elevator but we never used it. The kitchen is fully stocked and there is even a clothes washer! I just have to make sure I comment on the quietness of the space too... we were in the middle of the historic center of Rome, filled with bars, restaurants and lots of street noise, but then, we entered the apartment and it was soooooo quiet. A peaceful setting necessary for relaxation after busy days exploring Rome. I can't wait to return to Barbara's apartment! Thank you!

• James (10/5): Portico D'ottavia was the perfect place for our family to stay. - Portico D'ottavia was the perfect place for our family to stay! First, Barbara was so very helpful and kind. She met us at midnight to give us the keys after our plane had arrived late. Barbara had also arranged for our transportation to our "Rome home". The apartment was very clean and just what we had expected. Wow! It was in such a great location! We were able to walk to most of the things we wanted to see. The taxis were close when we needed them. Food and shopping were all close and great! Just right close was a small local place to buy coffee in the morning while you were waiting for your family to get ready!! We felt very safe there and would love to stay there again when we go back someday. Afterall, the Turtle Fountain is right there to throw a coin in and wish to come back! Couldn't figure out how to make coffee or buy pods for it. No biggie though!

• Vierah (9/5): Great Apartment in Heart of Rome - The apartment is exactly as shown in the photos, beautifully decorated with all the amenities of a modern apartment. The location is a few steps from Piazza Mattei and on a pedestrian street - within easy walking distance to all of Rome's main attractions. The apartment was spotless. We enjoyed the snacks and drinks provided by Barbara. The best asset of the property is the staff, Ms Cledi, who went out of her way to assist us during the stay. Like previous reviewers have mentioned, the apartment is difficult to find. We tried calling the number associated with the booking but had no luck. Check-in instructions, such as where to wait, etc will help tremendously.
