Felt like we were in a Rome palace. If you are looking to stay in Rome central, look no further, this is it! Everything about this property is excellent. Our host Max, is very accommodating and was waiting for us to arrive. As a welcome, there were cookies, pastries, chips and fresh orange juice. Absolutely delicious! The fridge was equipped with water and other drinks. It was simply amazing! We are very picky travelers and were very pleased and impressed with this property overall. We will stay again next time we are in Rome.

• Richard (10/5): Our host, Max & Tina, met us in the square out front on our arrival and helped us again on our departure 10 days lat - Your hosts Max and Tina could not have been more gracious, helping us with reservations and many assists throughout our stay. The spacious apartment is elegantly decorated with antiques & art, comfortable furnishings and up to date modern conveniences. The location is extremely convenient, walking distance to many major sites. Neighborhood has a wide variety of restaurants and shops; and, if needed, a taxi stand is 1 block away. We had 3 generations who all found this an ideal place to stay. Many thanks for a wonderful experience.

• Patricia Volini (10/5): Loved this unique place! - Loved the location. So many things within walking distance. Right near Piazza Pasquino statue, Piazza Navona and a taxi stand. Steps away from the lively Via Del Governo Vecchio with restaurants, shops, gelaterie, and a grocery store. It became "our neighborhood". The apartment is highly decorated with very tall ceilings, chandeliers and artwork. LIke living in a mini-palazzo! Our hosts, Max and Tina, were very accommodating. Some late night street noise in the bedrooms (they face the lively Via del Governo Vecchio).

The location was excellent being near local restaurants and for sightseeing. We were met by the charming owner (even though we were late because our plane had been cancelled) who explained everything clearly and was very helpful. Nothing, it was great!

The apartment really made us feel like we were staying in Italy, not just a generic grey holiday let. Location was great for such a walkable city, taxi rank close if needed. • Jessica (9/5): Wonderful Location, Beautiful Apartment, Pleasant Host - Antica Dimora Navona was wonderfully located right off Piazza Navona with access to restaurants, taxis and cafes right outside. We were able to walk to most of the main attractions (Pantheon, Trevi, Navona, Trastevere (a little further off)). The apartment was traditionally decorated with original oil paintings and a lovely little Italian kitchen that we loved. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms and water pressure were great. Max, the owner, was very helpful and always available. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone. Honestly, not much. It was very hot during our stay (August 2025) and the weather taxed the A/C units quite a bit, but that's to be expected in the Roman heat.

The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Rome, just steps from major attractions. The interior décor is beautiful and full of character, blending charm with comfort. The kitchen was fully functional, which made it easy to enjoy a few meals at home, and both bathrooms were recently renovated and spotless. The apartment also has fast and reliable Wi-Fi, which was a big plus for us, and there’s even a small elevator that takes you up to the second floor—super convenient when traveling with luggage. One highlight was the attentiveness of our host—truly exceptional service. We especially appreciated the delicious biscuits provided in the apartment. We loved them so much we asked where to buy more—and a week after our stay, the host kindly sent us a photo of the product so we could find it ourselves. That level of thoughtfulness went far beyond our expectations. Highly recommend this property—we’d return in a heartbeat!

It’s a beautiful apartment with an elevator, walking distance to almost everything in Rome, super clean, comfortable and even modern bathrooms. The host was also incredible, giving us so many welcome snacks and drinks. I would definitely stay here again! The A/C unfortunately broke while we were staying there and it was not able to be fixed before our stay ended (will definitely be fixed by now). The host was so amazing though, providing us with fans and so many apologies.

There are wonderful restaurants, both beneath, and overlooked by the apartment. The living room and dining area are very generous in size and most comfortable. The beds are extremely comfortable. Both bathrooms are recently renovated. Max and Tina are superb hosts. Super helpful with arranging everything. They had welcome refreshments for us when we arrived late in the day after travelling. My son’s phone was damaged while travelling and Max phoned around the repair shops on a holiday weekend to find a technician for us. He also posted on a pair of sunglasses that we left behind in the apartment. And Tina accompanied us to the taxi rank helping with our luggage. Lovely people. We loved everything about the property and the fantastic hosts. The kitchen is compact and well-appointed, a small recommendation would be to have a toaster for the kitchen.

It's right in the middle of everything, but felt very safe and peaceful when you get inside. The owner Max is a great communicator and helped us with restaurant recommendations and taxis. The apartment is romantic but functional. I rarely sleep well away from home but the beds were so comfortable I messaged Max when I got home to ask where I can buy beds and pillows!

I changed my booking in Rome in the last minute to Antica Dimora Navona because of the great reviews I read about the owners Max and his wife!! Believe me if I say all reviews cant describe the great hospitality of Max who supported us from day one and even before we arrived until now. Let me start by saying that we were looking for apartment that has everything we need and make us feel living like locals in the middle of everything. There are many apartment that is antique and charming in Rome but usually they have issues with the bathrooms, water pressure, heaters, AC, etc. This apartment is amazing!! You will feel like if you were born in Rome. It is antique yet its bathrooms, AC and heaters are very modern and we had no issue at all. The apartment has everything towels, shampoo, hand and dish soaps, garbage bags, dish washer, microwave, … etc. it is fully equipped!! Max even left some electric plugs in one of the drawers and some books too! The windows had double glass and the old charming wooden shutters can assure you darkness for your sleeping. The apartment is 3 minutes from Piazza Novona and there are many restaurants, cafes, pharmacy and mini markets just around the corner. Sadly, our 1 year old baby got really sick at our last night before traveling to Florence. I texted Max who is always there via whatsaap and he offered me a help that a brother will not do. It was 10 PM when I texted him and he said: - if you need a doctor, I can bring you one in the morning. - if you need medicines, dont worry I can get you any medicine now for your baby. - if the case got more serious, go to Bambino hospital and he sent me the location and asked me to call him anytime even in the early morning. Sadly, my son got very ill and I took him to the great hospital Max recommended, they admitted my baby to the ER immediately and within an hour he was admitted to the ICU unit. NOTHING ! We loved it!!

• Lisa (7/5): Great central location to stay in Rome. However, there can be noise so be prepared for that. - Hosts are really lovely. The location of the apartment is very central and only a few minutes walk to the Trevi fountain. Two modern bathrooms and a good sized apartment for a family. Although the location is very good , you must be aware that you have noisy bars and restaurants just outside so it can be difficult to sleep . We had ear plugs so that helped but if it wasn’t so noisy it would have been perfect .

The hosts were there to greet us, help with luggage, and welcome us with wine, snacks, and cereal and granola to start our mornings off if we wished. Located in a vibrant neighborhood, everything you could want is just a few steps away, and many of the big sites were within easy walking distance. I would highly recommend this apartment. The morning street cleaning could be loud, although closing windows help immensely. This may be the downside of staying in a great location, so the tradeoff was worth it.

• Janice (10/5): Outstanding location, accommodation, and hospitality - Max is an excellent communicator and happy to assist with his guests' needs. He arranged airport transfers and warned about the train strike that could affect us. The apartment is very spacious and a pitcher of tea and delicious snacks awaited us. The location near Piazza Navona is fantastic, steps away from restaurants, bakeries, several museums, shops, and Campo de' Fiori market. Our second day was so hot we didn't want to go far and we wanted to be primarily indoors. The small but beautiful (and free!) Museo di Scultura Antica Giovanni Barracco and Leonardo da Vinci museum, which has interactive exhibits of Leonardo's machines, were a few minutes' walk from the apartment, had no lines to get in, and few people inside. We would happily stay here again.

• Justin (10/5): PHENOMINAL LOCATION, BEAUTIFUL UNIT, EVEN BETTER HOSTS! - I don't think you could find a more centrally, perfectly located place to stay in Rome. Located in a quiet little piazza lined with a ton of fantastic restaurants, shops, and stores literally steps from Piazza Navona and within minutes of the Pantheon, Camp di Fiore and all the major sights one would want to see in Rome. Max and his lovely wife truly understand what it is to be a host and were there on call through our entire 5 day stay. My wife had an bad allergic reaction two days in and not only did they come over and change ALL the linens just in case they also put us in touch with a doctor who got us a prescription within 30 minutes! The next dilemma was the national train strike that cancelled our train leaving for Naples and the last leg of our trip. Max not only arranged for a private transfer but negotiated a fair price on our behalf. The villa itself fits historic Rome perfectly giving a tasteful, yet antique feel. We were met with refresh tea and snacks after a day of traveling and Max and his wife met us the morning of checkout, helped us load all of our luggage on the transport and properly bid us farewell. I would never stay anywhere else in Rome and its great to know we know have great friends in Rome to call on for our next trip. We cant thank you enough! Grazie Mille! A Presto! We loved everything

Everything about this apartment felt old world Rome with beautiful paintings and gorgeous antique furniture. The kitchen is fully equipped and the dining room has plenty of seating. The beds are super comfy and the living room is spacious and perfect for a long or short stay. We felt like we were visiting our family in Italy. The air conditioning worked amazing, and the arrangement of transportation for us worked out great. Thanks for a wonderful stay. It was the favorite part of our trip.

Very spacious and the property is perfectly situated in the hearth of the city center. All the facilities were amazing and you had everything you could possibly think of You can hear the noise from the restaurant downstairs or the garbage truck that comes early in the morning, but this is not a deal breaker. • Aura (9/5): Location, location, location! - Lovely apartment. Our Rome home base for 10 wonderful days! The location really can't be beat -- right behind the Piazza Navona! We were a party of three women, and this was our third time to Rome together, so we already knew this area well. The apartment is very centrally located and off a great street lined with restaurants, cafes, small shops, etc... You're a stones throw away from the Campo de Fiori and the Pantheon is close by as well. The apartment is within walking distance to many of the famous sites. It does have a lift up to the first floor, but we only used it for our luggage. We were very happy with the size of the apartment and we each had our own rooms, using the living room as the third bedroom (has door) with its sofa bed. There are two full bathrooms with showers. The owners, Max and Tina, were incredibly helpful and responded to our questions right away. They also had wine, water, and treats waiting for us upon arrival! A really nice and welcoming touch! Overall, we were quite pleased with the property and would recommend. Minor things...... We thought the beds & pillows could use an upgrade, especially the sofa bed. The kitchen could use a set of sharp cutting knives . Appreciated the washing machine, but it was very confusing! However, Tina came out right away to help.
• David (8/5): Spacious apartment in central part of Rome. - Location is awesome close to Navona and walkable everywhere including Vatican etc. great restaurants close by and Max will recommend. max and Tina are great hosts and regularly texted to ask if they could help. As people said some noise at night so will need to factor this into account. whilst we were there some phone network coverage and resulting wifi issues but this could be temporary for our time there.

The hosts were there to assist us with luggage and secured transportation to the airport after our stay. Noisy. Repairs were being made in restaurant below and trash pickup was noisy and often. Plumbing could use some upgrades/repairs.

• Christian (9/5): Superb - The apartment was quite spacious and very beautiful. Everything was clean and it was very nice to have coffee and snacks already available for us. The location was perfect right next to the Piazza Navona. Note that the area is very busy at night so it provides a very nice charming Italian vibe. There were live musicians outside that we enjoyed by keeping the windows open.

Lots of restaurants as you come down stairs and most importantly Max and Tina very humble, making sure your needs are met. He arranged the taxi for us . great hospitality.Max suggested some authentic restaurants and yes thanks to Max , the food was delicious. We will sure stay at his property if we plan to return or recommend our friends. N/A
• Laura (9/5): Wonderful , spacious apartment ins a great area - This property was a great fit for 2 adults and 3 teenagers. it’s in a great area with many great shops and restaurants. It is easy to get around to all the major sights. The apartment is very spacious for our family of 5 and having 2 bathrooms and washer/dryer is great. There are ACs in each room. Having an elevator or also nice for luggage, even though it’s only one floor up. Max and Tina are very nice and responsive hosts! They provided coffee pods, fresh juice and snacks. The apartment is in a popular area and the noise from the street can be loud and the trash trucks come early. I had read reviews about this and brought ear plugs and turned on the white noise.

The apartment was very spacious, clean and gad all the facilities one could want. Max, our host, was wonderful. Met us at the apartment, showed us around, and was there if we needed anything. He arranged our early morning taxi to the airport upon departure . The apartment had that old Italian charm to it. We just loved it. 5 star accomadation! I highly recommend a stay here. I am looking forward to our next trip to Rome and a stay at Antica Dimora Navona. There was nothing not to like.
• Ratna (8/5): central to all the main sites, comfortable and convenient but at the same time location proved to be the main con as it - beautiful property in a very central and convenient location the location is perfect but the property has no double glazed windows which meant it was very very noisy thru out the night. there was absolutely no break with the street noise even well after midnight and the bottle collectors arrived early in the morning so we didn’t get any sleep which was tough. it would be great if the owners invested in double glazed windows to block the street noise so the guests can enjoy being in the central location but get a peaceful night

• Reena (10/5): Exceptional - We had an amazing stay at Antica Dimora Novona, the appartment is a classic, better than the pictures. It's so we'll kept gives you a really good experience of living in Roma, the location is excellent, walking distance from all the main tourist sites, the food and vibe around the appartment is perfect. The appartment is huge and clean and has a lovely homely feeling.Max and Tina went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Will definitely return to this place. There's nothing not to like.
• Dual (10/5): Beautiful apartment, but more important, beautiful and caring owners. - The apartment was located in the Piazza Pasquino which is minutes from the Pantheon, Campo de Fiori, and Piazza Navona. Taxis and buses basically right outside your door. Apartment was huge, about 1400 square feet. Decor was old classic Italian, but with all the modern conveniences. Two bedrooms each with its own bathroom was something not easy to find. Located on first floor wit a lift. Great kitchen with everything you need to prepare a meal. Refrigerator and freezer were working great and were very cold with lots of space. Large flat screen TV in living room and strong WiFi throughout the apartment. On arrival, juice , snacks, water and wine were provided. They also provided two sets of keys which was convenient. However, the best part of the Antica Dimora apartment was the service provided by the owners, Max and Tina. They were right there when we arrived and took care of all the luggage and assisted my wife who has difficulty walking. The apartment was decorated for Christmas with a beautiful tree. Our friend staying with us needed some medication and someone to administer it by injection. Not only did the manage to get the necessary medication, but they also found a nurse who came to the apartment 4 times to inject the pain medication for our friend who is suffering from cancer. We were able to be in constant contact with Max and Tina during our whole stay and they responded quickly to our calls or texts. They went above and beyond what you would consider service. And the service was provided with true caring. Max and Tina treated us like family and for this we are truly grateful. Apartment was fabulous, but Max and Tina were absolutely the best. We have rented many apartments in Rome over these last few years, but none can compare with Antica Demora in comfort and In truly loving and caring Italian hospitality shown by the owners. Max and Tina, grazie tanti , Buon Natale, and Buon Anno. We will surely return and we will never forget your kindness. Everything was perfect and service went above and beyond the norm.

• Liza (10/5): The most amazing authentic apartment you can find in Rome - This is an EPIC apartment, in the center of Rome. Highly recommend! This is an old family apartment, styled authentically with vintage Italian pieces, high ceiling, HUGE apartment (we would get lost in it!). Location could not be beat, with your windows opening to a small piazza, on a street that is lively (but not too much so), with great restaurants and shops. Many sights are within walking distance. The host, Max, is amazing. He left so many treats in the apartment for us, and was very helpful (and great restaurant recommendations). We used the place as 3 bedrooms (living room has a door which can be closed and a couch that converts to a very comfortable bed). I was worried it would be a small place but it was huge, very spacious for 3 families. This apartment was the highlight of our trip. I would recommend this to anyone, and look forward to coming back one day! nothing!
