• sjfbirds (9/5): Short break in Hanoi old town - Hosts were friendly and super helpful. Large apartment. Comfortable beds. Location in the old town is brilliant Steep steps up to the apartment. The apartment does not have 3 seperate bedrooms. 2 beds are in the lounge and one in a room walk through to the kitchen. Fine for family as we were. Maybe not so much for others
• CHIN (10/5): - The rooms are very spacious. And the apartment owner is very friendly, helpful and patient. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. And the hair dryer is good (very powerful). The apartment is in a great location and is perfect for a big group! It needs a clear hotel sign to declare "here it's the hotel entry" otherwise its quite difficult to find out the hotel entry.
• sjfbirds (9/5): Family stay in Hanoi Old W - Location, right in Old Quarter. Close to night market. Lots of places to eat around the apartment. It also had good kitchen facilities to make own. Washing machine with detergent meant we were able to wash our clothes mid trip. Lots of space in the apartment. Two bathrooms both clean with basic toiletries. Bed was comfortable. Decent towels. Hosts were great, friendly and good communication. The apartment is noisy but haven’t downmarked for that. It is in the middle of town’ This is not a 3 bedroom apartment as would be expected in the west. Three double beds are in the living room furnished by a bathroom. Two double beds in a room leading through to kitchen and another bathroom. Another double bedroom off this room. There are no doors, only curtains on doorways of all rooms except bathrooms and double room. We were one family so lack of privacy not such a big issue but could be for other travellers. Entrance is down an alley between two shops and up two flights steep stone stairs. It may not be easy to locate but our daughter in law is Vietnamese so no problem. Luggage comes up on a baggage elevator with the host there to help you lift it in and out. The stairs are the only reason we would not stay there again

• Charlotte (9/5): Superb - Bathroom in the lounge had a couple of potentially dangerous steps out especially with wet feet. Apartment was on 3rd floor so lots of narrow stairs and we were locked out so make sure you take keys with you

• Ivan (10/5): Excellent stay in the heart of Hanoi - We enjoyed our stay here a lot. The apartment's location is perfect: in the middle of the Old Quarter, just a few minutes on foot from Hoan Kiem lake. Heaps of cheap and delicious food places around, both in restaurants and in the fruit markets. Beds were big and firm, with clean linen. The apartment was well-equiped with everything necessary for a stay: refrigerator, washing machine, some cooking devices, water cooler. The host was quick to reply to any of our enquiries. The stairs to the apartment are quite steep and narrow. One of the rooms faces a busy street, so it's a bit noisy and hard to sleep until about 10pm. To us, considering the location and price, these drawbacks were acceptable.
• Ian (9/5): Superb - Contact with the owner was great, gave us great ideas of places to visit and eat. 6 comfortable double beds in a very spacious property. Washing machine and kitchen. We enjoyed our time here. Some steep steps to gain entry to the property but didn't really bother us. Be sure to have a few beers at the hotel next door. Would definitely stay here again
• Luyen (10/5): Exceptional - The staff was very friendly and helpful, the place was spaced and clean, We went to Halong bay the day after, my son forgot his Nintendo, we contacted staff and Kem was very helpful to keep the devices for us to collect after our 2 days trip. Highly recommended, my children said this was their favourite hotel for the whole Vietnam trip 😃

• Nicole (10/5): Thank you for having us!! - Family of 4, kids 12 and 14. Excellent location, very comfortable beds, a lot of space, well appointed and clean. Excellent value for money. We loved everything about the property but people need to know that you are in the heart of the city. There is noise and the street is busy. We had no issues with this because the location was excellent.

• Rebecka (10/5): Awesome stay in the Old Quarter - KemKay is fitted with some of the most comfortable beds we've seen in all of Vietnam! We didn't mind it but be aware that the layout is one smaller bedroom with a door, a middle sized area with two beds with curtain partitions and three beds in the living area. Having such a spacious place with a living area was really nice, well equipped kitchen and hot showers. Additionally, the owner was so amazing and helped to arrange a birthday cake for our friend! Lots of amazing cafe and food on your doorstep. The upstairs neighbors and adjacent nightclub are very noisy until late in the night but what do you expect when you stay in the center of Old Quarter! We had a great time regardless.

• Phil (9/5): Right in the centre of the bustling Hanoi Old Quarter, this huge 3 room apartment was perfect - Great location in the Hanoi Old Quarter for our active family. We love the street food and hustle-bustle of Hanoi city. This apartment is perfect for that experience. Don't stay here expecting peace and luxury. Thank you to our host Lam Son who was very responsive at all times and gave us tips on the best places to eat locally. The room was clean and was HUGE for our family of 4 with 2 teenagers (this apartment sleeps 12 people with 3 separate rooms). Highly recommended
• Kelli (9/5): Very comfortable spacious lodging in an excellent location with a responsive host. - The host provided easy to follow instructions and was very responsive to any questions We didn’t mind the stairs, but I do feel like it’s important to note that it’s a third floor unit up a very small very narrow staircase. We viewed it as good exercise but it could be problematic for others.
