• Emilie (8/5): Efficace et agréable - Logement propre et efficace pour un voyage de découverte. Tout équipé, et tout a porté de main. Un petit peu loin de la gare de métro lorsque l’on voyage avec des jeunes enfants car ils sont épuisés le soir et les 5min de marche sont un peu longues. Les futons sont un peu fins ce qui rend le « lit » dur.

• Lucy (8/5): Fantastic location - 10 min walk but far enough away to be in a quiet location - It was only a 10 mins walk to Dotonburi and a quick walk to Namba station but it is far enough away to be quiet at night. There is a lift which is essential and the room was big enough for the 5 of us to have all our bags in the room comfortably. There were 2 queen beds and anymore will sleep on the sofa which is not very comfortable so if you are 4 or less this place is ideal. The sofa bed

• Lei Lei Lisa (9/5): The place was clean, well thought out and conveniently located. The host was super responsive and helpful! I would love - The property is clean, well thought out with enough space for at least a family of four. The location was super convenient, within walking distance to Namba Yasaka Jinja shrine, Namba station, JR station and even Dotonbori. We liked that each floor has only one property so you’re not seeing other people and relatively private. We did have a noisy neighbour upstairs at one point but the owner/host helped promptly address the situation. Not sure whether it was the weather, but the whole place became quite ‘damp’ during our stay but mostly around doors and windows.

The elevator was fast and decently sized. Plenty of utensils and dish ware. Loved the toilet and the AC/heater unit. Could use more towels/towels could have been bigger. We had to purchase batteries for the remote control and paper towels. The beds were a little too firm.

We really enjoyed the drying feature in the washroom in the previous apartment that we stayed in Tokyo and it was missing in this apartment. However they do have drying rack that you can use.

• Jb (10/5): Big, clean, well thought out AAO Bldg NAMBA Apartment - The reviews are true with the rooms being clean and bigger with enough kitchen utensils, cooking pots for a family of 4. The size of the room really sets this place apart since we could store 4 carry-on bags, a big suitcase and backpacks in one closet. There was plenty of space to move around comfortably. It's a newer construction so not a lot of wear and tear to the apartment. Plenty of soap, laundry detergent and toilet paper for a 7 day stay. Washing machine is useful but will have to hang dry clothes. There is a clothes line with clothes pins on the balcony and a drying rack to use for that purpose. The instructions to use WiFi and house items are very clear. Easy to find the building and get the key from the keybox. You have the entire floor of the building for the apartment, so you get privacy and safety. A Life grocery store is 2 blocks away to get food and supplies. Peaceful neighborhood with a park across the street. It about 15 minute walk from Namba station. Highly recommend this stellar place for people who are want a bigger, clean space and want peace and quiet for the night. Enjoyed walking around the neighborhood which is close to the Jinja Shrine. Would go here again when we visit Osaka. Great job to the staff at AAO Bldg NAMBA!

• Rosalie (4/5): I would not stay here if I had to do it again - we’re a family of 5 (3 teenagers) and in hindsight this place was really not a good choice for our group. We stayed for 3 nights and by the second night I was feeling claustrophobic. Each of us had a carry on luggage so trying to creatively find space in that rectangle room for our luggage was a challenge. There was a cupboard for the coats but half the space was filled with the owner’s extra mattresses, duvets, pillows, which were all padlocked. We didn’t find it hard to locate the place. Instructions to access the building and room were quite clear. It’s about 10 mins walk from NAMBA station (exit 5). But in hindsight, I would not have chosen to stay at NAMBA as it was quite a sterile place except for proximity to Dotonburi. But I am in the school of folks that think Dotonburi is overhyped. Good to visit once but no need to stay near it at all. It would have been much better for us to have stayed near Shin Osaka station due to the type of day trips we had planned to make that all start from Shin Osaka station such as to Hiroshima, Kyoto, Kobe, Himeji. We would have saved on the metro commute back and forth to NAMBA every day. NAMBA station was convenient for day trip to Nara. We were in Osaka over the dreaded Dec 28 - Jan 1 period. Dec 28 was a nightmare of crowds and we made the mistake of not reserving our Shinkansen seats to Hiroshima in advance so we had to scrape our plans to Hiroshima as even the non reserved carriages were fully booked and we did not want to stand the whole journey. Surprisingly there were still eateries and shops open on Jan 1 in Dotonburi so it wasn’t too hard to find a place to eat.

Conveniently located, 10 minutes from Namba. - Occasional deep humming noise at night, not sure where it came from (probably nothing the apartment owners can do about) - pre-check in was a mess. We have done pre-checking (providing passport copies and other personal information) with several (!!) different properties here in Japan and every single one (even though different systems were used) was an easy 5 min process. Not with this property. We ended up sending them the passport copy in two different ways (including by email to a non-descript email address) and always told us they did not receive it. Even had to go through booking com support who they told they received everything fine to just keep bothering us via booking messenger afterwards that they have not received our passport copies. Place is good but if you are a foreigner think twice if you want to go through that process.

• Cookie27 (5/5): Nice apartment but... - It is in a quiet neighborhood. Very nice decor and being apartment, it is well equipped. There's no housekeeping, not even if we were willing to pay. There's no dryer only washing machine. It was less hassle to just bring everything to the laundrymat down the road about 15 mins walk. 3 of us staying 8 nights, we had to wash towels as well and keep the floors clean. It's my oversight, I shall only book hotels in future. The nearest station is 15 mins walk.

We were a family of 5 who managed to stay in this small studio without feeling claustrophobic and somehow managed to fit all our luggage, shoes and jackets in! It was wintertime, we flew in on a late flight. Walked from Namba station, wheeling our luggage. Not a problem as it’s flat terrain but it is quite a walk. The entrance to this apartment is a bit hidden, almost at the back alley (this is a corner building) Currently a tapas eatery faces the main road and a park is across from it. When you see these 2 markers, it’s a sign to look for a well lit, white walled and secure looking entrance ( double glass doors, keypad lock, security camera) at the back. There is only 1 apartment per floor so lots of privacy. Situated in a quiet part of town which is a respite in neon-lit, noisy Osaka. There is a laundry pole at the balcony but no pegs to keep the clothes from flying away! I was on the 8th floor. Very windy!
• Lai (8/5): Great stay and owner responded fast when we have queries. - Clean and spacious. Location was 10min walk away from train stations and quiet. Recommend to those who prefer to be away from crowds.
• Mirza (8/5): value for money when travelling in a group - The amenities it came with. It is as in i came into a home and all the basic necessities are already provided. The location of the place is really good. Near JR Namba and also near convenient stores. Maybe they could include steps on how to get from JR Namba to the accommodation place. We realised that there was an elevator right next to the stairs only after we carried our luggages up. Also, preferably a dryer cum washing machine could be better. In winter, the clothes we washed do not dry if left overnight and we had to send it to a laundromat. A dryer would have been perfect and bring this place up to a 9

• Roziyanna (9/5): Excellent stay - I like everything about this property. Very clean has elevator. Washing machine is a plus point. Many kombini around, nearby is a big supermarket 24hours. Location is a bit far for a family with small kids and big luggages. Would be better if the washing machine comes with dryer. But it is not a big issue.
• Sparrel (10/5): Exceptional - Very good location near the Namba Station and a fully equipped apartment with a very nice bathroom.
• Jefferson (10/5): Well appointed private condo type room. - Very comfortable, clean, and modern. Getting in and out of the building was really easy, even without hotel type reception. Easy to remember code to get into the building, and then the key was in a lock box on the room door. The room had everything you needed, including kitchen items and washing machine (no dryer). It was one of the larger Tokyo rooms we stayed in. We had a lot of luggage, and it was a 12 to 15 minute walk from Namba Station. When we stored our luggage in the room, the walk was not bad.

• Badrul (9/5): Clean and new. A feeling of japanese home with futon bed so more space if the matress folded. Efficient use of sp ace. W - Newly renovated. A lot of cctv. Coded security door for the building. Felt safe and quiete area. Fully furnished with all the appliances you can think of. Dish washing liquid and detergent were provided. Iron and iron board. Separate bathroom and toilet so getting ready in the morning for multiple person made faster. The futon bed is thin and firm. People who are not used to it might not like it. Distance to the train station is not that close. Unmanned but the person in charge is very responsive.
