Guest Reviews
- Lotta (9/5): - A very spacey apartment in a fantastic area. Restaurants, bars, shopping and transport right at your doorstep. Be prepared, as it's loud. 6 Train tracks right in front of the balcony. We got used to the noise, so it didn't really bother us.
- Mathew (9/5): Excellent value and location in affluent Ginza area; steps to Metro station and less than half a mile Tokyo central st - Excellent location. Clean, well appointed unit
Use of local wood and Japanese style interior deco. Excellent value for money for a comparatively spacious unit in Tokyo.
For people not used to induction electric stoves, to operate the unit you need to keep a steel pan or pot on the stove.
Loved their coffee.
For people who love to watch trains, especially bullet trains this is an ideal unit. It get noisy out on the balcony ( used ear plugs), but inside the unit it’s fairly quite.
AC was very good.
Helpful host
We are looking forward for more future stays. Like many small multistory buildings in Japan, this building doesn’t have an elevator and may be difficult for physically challenged people.
Some of our communications with the host were never delivered to host by booking.com.
Advise to contact directly with host before hand.
- Vela (5/5): Passable -
- Kathy (9/5): Great location for self sufficient travellers, close to casual eateries and high end shopping - A secure apartment on the third level of a buildng with a ramen shop on the first floor, in a lively yokocho/ dining street. A short walk from Yurakucho JR station, and the Hibiya and Ginza metro lines and plenty of malls, and about a 10 minute walk from flagship luxury stores in Ginza. In essence, you are paying for location, amenities and space because this apartment is almost double the size of most hotel rooms.
The apartment is thoughtfully equipped - air conditioning in the living / dining / kitchen space and in the separate bedroom, a combined washer dryer with detergent provided. The bath / shower room is relaxing and a luxurious change from a fully plastic lined shower booth (iykyk) with a self filling tub. The toiletries provided (shampoo, conditioner, body wash) are simple but nice, kind of naturally scented. The kitchen is adequately equipped for making breakfast, including a chemex(!), since cafes don't really open until 11am, and simple meals (OK supermarket is the best place to go for groceries). The apartment is level with a train overpass! The trains and general noise of dining patrons in the area quietens down from midnight but if you're out for the evening as well, you won't notice it either. I was able to sleep without earplugs that, again, are thoughtfully provided in the bedroom, but there's constant background noise, day and night. If you're easily overstimulated, this is not the place for you.
Sidenote - the wifi was also mildly patchy but passable for searching on the internet and loading maps.
- Angela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Patrick (10/5): Amazing stay in Ginza - Great space especially for train lovers. The space is a lovely modern large space. It is located very conveniently to access Hibiya and Ginza Stations on the Tokyo Metro and the Yurakucho Station on the JR Line. It is a 20-30 min walk to Tsukiji Market. The balcony is directly facing the JR and Shinkansen lines and allows for a unique opportunity to observe the trains of Tokyo. The space is well furnished and has a large wooden tub as part of a spacious bathroom. Lastly Mas was very accommodating and communicated well and provided local advice and offers to make reservations at fancy sushi restaurants. Trains didn’t affect our ability to sleep or enjoy the property, but the trains do operate between 05:00h to midnight. There are 8 train lines and trains operate every few minutes on each of the lines. The trains can be noisy, but Mas provides ear plugs and Bluetooth speakers if the noise is an issue. We didn’t use either during our great stay.
