• Vanashree (9/5): Convenient stay close to Acropolis & metro - Centrally located in a quiet and scenic residential locality. Very convenient with metro only an 8 min walk away and bus stop 6 mins. Checkin instructions are clearly provided and it’s a self checkin and checkout. Many tiny convenience stores around. Acropolis and Acropolis Museum around 10 mins walk away. We were able to take many walks to Plaka, Monastiraki & Anafiotika. The flat itself is in a semi basement space with a single window opening at street level on the outside and above head level from the inside. But it has good ventilation and very quiet. The owner is very friendly and open to chats. The flat has a tiny kitchenette with stove, microwave and electric kettle & refrigerator and washing machine provided along with a few items of groceries thoughtfully provided, along with cutlery and cooking utensils. Also basic toiletries, iron and ironing board available. Overall me and my teen daughter had a comfortable stay. Nothing really! Except we missed having microwave friendly bowls so we couldn’t use the microwave at all despite specifically asking for in advance. Also, no drying space so we washed only bare essentials. Only later we were told that there was a separate room for drying clothes. Wish we had been told before. So overall these were minor inconveniences for the price we paid.

• Angelo Luca (9/5): Esperienza positiva - Due passi dall'Acropoli e fermata metro e bus. Quartiere tranquillo con tanti bar, ristoranti, mini market, panificio. Mini appartamento perfetto per una o due persone. Condominio tranquillo e silenzioso. Passeggiare di giorno e notte non è un problema. La Plaka raggiungibile a piedi in pochi minuti. Posizione perfetta. Se siete alti più di 183 cm dovete piegare le ginocchia e tenere il doccino in mano per lavarvi :(

• Unavidaimprovisada (8/5): - La ubicación a 4 minutos de la entrada del Partenón, un barrio muy tranquilo con cafeterias y restaurantes. La entrada fue facil con las instrucciones que nos dieron. El apartamento tiene todo lo necesario. Es un sotano, en verano puede ser agobiante, en Abril fue genial y la calle esta tranquilisima. El baño es un poco pequeño pero estaba limpisimo
• Zsuzsanna (6/5): Kényelmes, pár napos tartózkodásra ideális, de luxusra senki ne számítson. - Nagyon jó helyen van! Gyalogosan elérhető minden nevezetesség, de közel a metró megálló is. A közelben sok étterem , kávézó található. A lakás alagsorban található, nehéz a szellőztetés .

La rue est calme, tout en étant proche des activités touristiques et des restaurants. Les voisins sont discrets, pourtant l'insonorisation n'est pas au top. La literie est confortable. La proximite du métro Acropolis. L'absence de coin salon. La déco vieillotte et plutôt vilaine. Logement plus bas que le niveau du trottoir, c'est spécial, mais on s'y fait.

• Azizbek (8/5): На пару ночей одному норм. - Хорошее расположение, до Плаки 10 минут пешком. Кровать норм, чисто. Учтите что это полуподвальное помещение, в дождь окна не открыть. Пол холодный, везде кафель, берите с собой тапочки. Зубную щетку тоже не нашел. Душ - надо включать бойлер заранее.

• ME (8/5): I enjoyed my stay, and I am sure that you will, too ;-) - I chose the apartment based on the area, in which I grew up. Except from the sentimental factor, I knew that it is safe and close to: 1) The center 2) Cultural monuments - relevant distances can be seen on Booking.com/Google 3) Nice spots – locals have difficulty to find parking and enjoy the neighbourhood 4) Several means of transportation, to many locations 5) Shops of all kinds (supermarkets, pharmacies, souvenir, fashion, etc.). In general, the area has a good vibe and many lovely walking routes for all hours of the day. I had read the reviews before making the reservation and I would like to comment on some of the topics. - There were no noises during my stay, in any hours of the day, except maybe from a car or bike that would start early in the morning (to take its owner to work), but the noise was not intrusive. I think that there are other apartments for rent in the same building, so it could have been something occasional, maybe? Likewise, the air-condition unit was very effective and not noisy to my ears - I am 1,83m tall and the shower was sufficient for my needs, even for washing my hair - The keys provided by the hostess include one key that opens the door to the back yard, which has a clothes’ dryer. Most of the reviewers have appraised the cleanliness and I totally agree with them. On my 8 nights stay the room was cleaned twice and new towels were provided, always with a timely notification from the hostess. On this point, allow me to say that her response to anything that you would like to ask is kind and instantaneous! Also, the Wi-Fi signal is faultless, simply because you have a router all for yourself. Furthermore, I would like to add that there is a safety door, making you feel more convenient. The fact that it is a basement proved to be a big plus during heatwave, as the place was cool and it is one the very few basements that I have come across with no humidity, which I hate. Sure, this is an old building and there are things that can be improved, e.g. it is difficult to regulate the shower water temperature, the kitchen tab water pressure is high, so it needs gentle moves and a holder for the towels and the toilet paper would be useful. However, you will be hard pressed to find accommodation in Koukaki area, during high season, for this money, never mind finding one that provides you a washing machine, an ironing board with an iron, a small oven with stoves, a fridge and a coffee machine!

• Silvia (10/5): A few steps away from the Parthenon - It was one of the cleanest places I've ever been to, and I think it would be incredibly difficult to find a place with a better position than this, especially at this price. Because of the central position there were moments where it was a bit loud, and the room is in a sort of basement, so when people walked in front of the window made it a bit awkward at times (there is a curtain tho).

• Andreea (9/5): Very good for our needs - We love the tea mix that Angel left for us, was a very nice touch. The place had all facilities, very close to the Acropolis and Angel did his best to meet our request (late check out). If you are an easy going person and looking for a place to sleep close to the Acropolis, this is a very good place. The apartment has a washing machine, but no place to dry your clothes. Neighbourhood felt safe and with our earplugs on we were not bothered by any noises. There was no place where you could actually eat, we found it weird to eat on the hallway. You could sometimes hear the neighbours.

• Evie (8/5): The perfect Athens introduction! - Fantastic location and the owner is so helpful and lovely! Great value for money too, would definitely stay again! If you’re a light sleeper then bring ear plugs as the building occupants are a little noisy but don’t let this put you off as it really is fantastic value and worth the stay.

The neighbourhood is quiet, safe, full of useful services. The apartment is well equipped, self check-in was easy, the owner left bags of traditional Greek tea as a gift for us. It is a basement so it can be dark. The bathroom is well equipped but very small. The kitchen is very small as well. The air conditioning was rather noisy. The descrition mentions a "garden" that we did not see.

• Hunter_852000 (8/5): Convenient location, easy check in and good communications, but somewhat small. - The location was fantastic. We found a custom leather shop within a 2 minute walk of the place. It is also conveniently located near several metro stations, stores, shops, and tourist attractions. The place is very clean and Angel was very responsive during our stay. The AC is a great add, especially for Summer months. The place is rather small, which is OK if you want to stay for only a few days. It doesn’t have a lot of room for us: we had one big suitcase, and three smaller carry on’s, and there was hardly room to walk around with them in place. I wish it would be furnished with a washer. The nearest laundromat is about 10 minutes away (by walking), and it costs €5 per load (but the most inconvenient thing is that you’d have to wait around when doing a load, that’s an hour or two wasted.)
• Grazia (7/5): In the heart of Athens - The key point of the stay is the location, in the core of the acropolis near and walking distance to the majority of things to see and very close to the metro station. The host was nice and helpful. The check in was easy and quick. Welcome bath kit and coffee machine were nice to see there The apartment is in the basement so a bit dark and gloomy. The most negative point (not in agreement with the previous comment) was the noise coming from the building (neighbors upstairs or next) either from outside. The apartment is not at all soundproof and it was quite disturbing during the nights specifically and early in the mornings.
