• Timur (9/5): It is very convenient and nice. - The balcony is large. It was nice to sit there in the evening and enjoy meals. The small food stores are around and some of them are open until 11 p. m. The metro station is just a few minutes away. In the kitchen there is everything you need. Two air conditioners. Expectations = reality.

• Mikolaj Sinicka (10/5): Beautiful penthouse, if available, book it! - This was a great location to stay in Athens. It was very central, and was super close to the metro and buses, so it was very easy getting around town, and then getting home. The apartment itself was great, but the balcony truly elevated it. Massive balcony with a great view from the fifth floor where we often had breakfast in the mornings and relaxed during the evenings. The room was nice and had AC (life-saver!), the bathroom was very clean and had all the amenities that we needed. Don't let the elevator scare you, it was a little bit cramped but ultimately very reliable. Would also like to give my compliments to our host Tassos, who met up with us to give us the key pretty late in the evening, and was very communicative throughout our entire stay. He had also left some water and refreshments in the fridge upon arrival, which was very appreciated. We were very happy with our stay! Be careful with leaving the window open, as bugs can come in.

Location & Safety The apartment is conveniently located near the bus station and metro, making it easy to get around the city. However, some of my local friends warned me that the neighborhood might not be the safest, as it’s close to a more dangerous area. Personally, I never felt unsafe, but I did notice that the neighborhood had a large immigrant community and many foreign workers. As a solo female traveler, I sometimes felt the area was a bit sketchy, especially when walking alone at night to the nearby supermarket. Some people would stare or talk among themselves, but no one ever approached me or made me feel directly threatened. The supermarket was only a 1-4 minute walk from the apartment, so I could quickly get what I needed and return home. Check-in & Host Since this is more like an Airbnb-style rental rather than a hotel, I only met the host during check-in. He was polite, efficient, and straightforward, explaining everything I needed to know, including how to use the hot water system. I appreciated that he didn’t overwhelm me with unnecessary information—just the essentials. Apartment Amenities & Cleanliness The apartment was very well-equipped, which made my stay comfortable and enjoyable. It had a fridge, hot plate, dishes, and all the essentials for cooking, so I could buy local ingredients from the market and prepare my own meals. This was a huge plus for me. The space was also very clean, though there was no housekeeping during my stay. However, since I kept the place tidy myself, it wasn’t an issue. It felt like having my own home in Athens, which made the experience even more special.

• Nigel (10/5): Fantastic Apartment - This is without doubt a very desirable apartment in an area which is very underrated.You get local prices in all the stores as opposed to tourist prices . I will let the other comments of reviewers speak for the facilities this apartment has to offer and concentrate on the surrounding area .Lemasou is a very safe street with a private hospital about 100m away towards Acharnon, Do not let graffiti put you off in Athens graffiti is everywhere. Leave entrance of main apartment turn left walk to bottom turn left and lidl is less than 5 mins walk, you can't miss it . Walk past lidl and you shall find Atttiki metro station. There are two areas that you must visit ,Fokionos Negri and Platia Agiou Georgiou brilliant for on street dining ,drinking and generally socialising. Also visit nouveau or narrow cafe (same place) and that's up Agiou Meletiou a great place for coffee and and sweet and savoury pastries. If you are into televised sport for all Premier league and European football, go to La Rose cafe off Platia Agiou Nikolaou .They have several screens all showing different sports and matches. Also a must is the Saturday street market off Rodou and Alkamenous There's also another on Wednesday's off Agiou Meletiou .Use Google maps. I have been to Athens many times I have concentrated on this small area of Athens It is my favourite non tourist area. The Host Tassos is a real gentleman I thoroughly recommend this apartment and area for long or short term visits .You will not be disappointed. Nothing to comment upon
• Linda (10/5): Great place, great host, bad elevator, would stay again. - The host is great and very responsive. He was very kind and let me check in early. His mother met me with the keys, and she stocked the refrigerator with water, juice, and a snack. There was coffee and some spices, along with pots, dishes, and silverware. Great large balcony on two sides of apartment. Half is shaded and half is open. 2 heaters/AC that work fine, although the remote for the LR is hard to read. Only apartment on the floor, so very quiet. Small kitchen - bring in one of the outside tables if you need counterspace to prepare food. Water gets very hot for shower. Mattress is soft and comfortable. The satin like sheets were laundered with lightly scented soap for those who have scent issues. Very close to the M1 metro to go to the main tourist center - 4 stops. If you are coming from the ferry, take the free bus which picks you up outside the ferry and drops you off in front of the stop for the M1. Nice non touristy neighborhood with lots of coffee/pastry shops and family owned restaurants. Would stay here again. The only thing to be worried about is the elevator. It is missing a door on one side, so as the elevator moves, the wall shaft is visible. It would be easy for a child to get a finger caught or some of your clothing caught as it moves if you don’t stay on the far side of the small elevator. Stairs are available. Apartment might be a tight fit for 3 adults unless just sleeping there.
• Pagano (8/5): Very good - We stayed here for a week. When we arrived it was nice to find a really clean and well-kept structure. The host is really kind, he explained everything to us and also left us some water and juices to welcome us. In the structure we also found comforts such as an iron, a hairdryer and even an umbrella. The kitchen is convenient if you don't always want to eat out and the terrace is very spacious. The metro is a few minutes walk away and with three metro stops you get to Monastiraki central square! Obviously you have to be aware that to reach the center you need to take the metro, on foot it would be too far. The metro passes frequently, but it is not one of the best metro I have been in terms of cleanliness and it is old (but this is a problem of the city). I recommend this structure if you want a clean and comfortable stay close enough to the center

• Carlos (10/5): Excellent value and comfortable staying. - Basically, everything. The place is very clean, near supermarkets and very close to the metro station. The house is comfortable and has an excellent view. It is not located in a super touristic area, so you have the tranquility to enjoy a sunset in the terrace without much noise and chaos. Even though it is not in a touristic area, it is very close to it. Metro is very safe and fast to go and come back. People often mention the neighbourhood. Honestly, the neighbourhood looks rougher than it really is. The streets can be a bit dirty, but they are full of trees, helping with the hot weather. I found the people from the markets and bakery nearby very friendly and quite nice. You can see some drunk people around, but nothing to worry about.
• Mihai.rg (10/5): Perfect - I stayed 5 days at this accommodation and everything was very good. The communication with the owner was very good, he waited for us at the location at the time we set to give us the keys and give us some tips for places to visit and eat. The location has a huge balcony where you can have breakfast or dinner. The location is a bit far from the center, but very close to the Aghios Nikolaos metro station, but also to the Aliki station. It is very easy to get to the center using the metro. There is a Lidl for shopping, quite close to the location. We used the car to get to the location, we found a free parking space in front of the building. I recommend eating the best gyros in Athens at Θεσσαλικό grill, it's very close to the accommodation, 3 minutes on foot. The neighborhood is not a friendly one at first sight, but we had no problem. Being an old building, the elevator is also old and a bit scary.
• Alida (10/5): Exceptional - The bed was very comfortable, and the AC Is quite strong! It's within walking distance of a lot of restaurants cafés and shops, and very close to two metro stations. It was just big enough for the two of us to lounge around in the afternoons hiding out the worst of the heat. It's also very quiet in the Apartment, i didn't hear anything from the rest of the building the whole week we were there. More about the location than the plce itself. We took a taxi part of the way there, and one of the things the driver said was to warn us to be careful in the area. I (25f) am traveling with my boyfriend (26m) and we didn't have any issues.
• Ankica (10/5): Apart of location and lift all other things were perfect and I can reccomend this place. - Apartment was nice, very clean and has everything you need for even longer stay (I stayed there 12 days). It has huge terasse where you can enjoy mornings or sunsets:-) Bathroom is small but nice, exccelent shower pressure. Apartment is nicely decorated, everything looks new and clear. Kosstas is super nice oerson, our communication was going smmothly, and his instruction were always clear. It is near to city center (just 4 metro station to city center), however it is not the best location in Athens , as female solo traveler I could not go around late in the night. Also lift is super small, not for claustrofobic people (5th floor).

• Victoria (10/5): Incredible, Comfortable and A happy vacation! - There were so many things to like in this apartment. The owners were so nice and friendly. Easy access from/to city center and airport. No need for taxis. It actually exceeded our expectation. Imagine two air-conditioner in a 50 sqm apt. A big terrace and it was not so hot. We didn't see any single dust. Bottled Water, coffee, tea, juice, biscuits, candies, shampoo, body wash, and lot more were provided plus a lot of smelling good towels. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. There were small groceries, good Bakery...Kosmikon, a good gyros/souvlaki kiosk near the metro...the staffs were so friendly. It saved us from eating at expensive restaurant. I highly recommend this apt...it's worth your money. Nothing!
