- Woldeyes (6/5): Pleasant -
- Marc (7/5): Attention to detail spoilt our stay - Location, near to Central station, two metros, shops and grocery shops. Most sites are within 1.5 miles (2.5km)
Directions and entry to apartment well described The following advertised services/facilities were missing/not functioning: -
- television
- wifi (fixed after 4 days)
- stove top cable burnt through, contol knob useless
- no kettle (appeared after 4 days)
- spoons (appeared after 4 days)
- no coffee making facilities
So ok it was Easter but things SHOULD have been prepared before our stay.
- Yaron (5/5): Passable - The location is good, the place is renovated and good value for money The comunication with the owner is not good, Internet didn't work, he didn't seem to care
- Jo (7/5): Good for a short stay , could be way better! - The location is about 7 mins walk from the nearest metro station Larissa as well as Biktoria. The neighborhood has restaurants and cafes around. The apartment was generally clean, and had a small balcony opening to the street. There's a shutter which you can use at night to block light for a good sleep. Though the area looks sketchy, I never had an issue with safety or security. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The apartment has security cameras in the basement entrance and has multiple doors which could be locked. Hot water was not always there, as it was solar heated, but you could use a water heater when needed, just plan 30 mins in advance to start it. The neighborhood isn't the best in town, as it's filled with refugees and migrant labourers. Don't expect clean and quiet streets, and the area has lots of sketchy people.Streets are super loud, so you'll need to keep the balcony doors always closed. The balcony curtain is transparent, and everything is visible to neighbors - An opaque curtain should be basic to have.
The apartment is quite small, as it's just one room, will be fine for a solo traveller, but congested for two or couples. The kitchen is basic with only a single heating top. No oven or microwave available, which would be practical to reheat food. There were only two cookwares , a pan and a pasta pot. A smaller coffee pot would be a better one to have. There were no basic supplies - only salt was there. Bit of sugar, spices, coffee powder and oil is a standard in a long stay apartment. There's no cupboard in there, but a drawer and a bedside table which could serve the purpose. There's no dining table to have some food or to work, which is a drawback.
Communication with the host was a bit troubling as the responses were really slow, and I received the key codes only after multiple requests after providing ID documents way after the communicated check in time, which was a bit worrying at the beginning.
- Yiannis (1/5): Horrible experience with bed bugs and hostile host - I'm so sorry to say this, but there was nothing to like about this place and especialy the host, except that I left in time, before the bed bugs ate me whole. From the first moment I asked for some information by text and phone call, the host was unfriendly and rude. Things became more serious when I fell asleep at night and found a BED BUG!!! I smashed it on the sheets and, as you can see in photo no. 1, there is a blood stain and next to it the dead bed bug. I tried to contact the owner by phone and sent him messages, but his phone was switched off. From that moment, my adventure began. I contacted the platform, they couldn't find him either. I left the apartment in the middle of the night, looking for somewhere else to stay. The morning he opened his phone and saw the messages his first - written - response was to question whether it was really a bed bug and the second if I had brought it there myself. All this, without even having gone to the apartment, where I had left the killed parasite and without even being interested in where I stayed, etc. I explained to him that I was coming from my house and therefore I could not have bring it myself. What followed was even more infuriating. In order to disclaim any responsibility, he began to accuse me of leaving garbage in the house, of smoking inside and that I am saying all this to avoid paying him and that this is a trick that many "smart people" do. I explained to him that - because I was ready for such a response from his previous behavior- I had planned to take videos and pictures of how I left the house, that everything he said was a lie and he provided no proof, so afterwards he was forced to admit that it was information he got from the cleaning lady who "had no reason not to believe". I also mentioned that I had stayed at his place before (a few months ago), but then it was not so neglected and I had no reason to complain unduly. To make the long story short: THE PLACE IS EXTREMELY NEGLECTED and you can see more proof of what I say in photos and comments below.
- Sudipta (7/5): Good -
- Tapani (10/5): Traveller - The apartment suited me well, the service was good and flexible, the apartment is relatively close to 2 different metro lines, wifi worked well, washing machine, air conditioning, balcony, kitchenette, compact small apartment.
I will definitely come again 👌
- İlknur (8/5): Very good - The flat is very close to two station which is Larissa station on M2 ( red line ) and Victoria station M1.( green line)
We like to use Latissa station because it is more safe and convenient.Thrre is also supermarket when you get off from this station.
There is a nice Turkish restaurant just down the street and bakery which is very delicious products.
There is a lot of Pakistani and Bangladesh people around it.
- Anatolii (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shannon (7/5): Comfortable place to stay not too far from a metro station. - The main room was open and comfortable. The balcony glass doors let in a lot of nice natural light. The bathroom was comfortable and the washing machine was a wonderful addition. The nearest metro station wasn't too far away. There were a few mini markets very close by. The bed was a little hard for my personal taste but it wasn't too bad.
- Gogoladze (10/5): Exceptional -
- Oleksandr (10/5): Exceptional -
- Natalia (9/5): Superb - Clean, nice little place, very good location. Helpful owner. A small supermarket across the road and lots of kebab and coffee places nearby. The apartment has a washing machine and everything you need to cook at home. Please read the owner instruction VERY carefully before checking in 😜 The street is really noisy at any time of day and night. Shouldn't be a problem in summer and winter when you close the window and use the AC, but we had to keep the window open.
- Yarden (4/5): Disappointing - The kitchen was nice, nice bathroom , the room was clean The ac didn't work so we told the meneger , he told us that "tomorrow it will be fixed" , ot wasnt, and we really suffered from the heat because of it, the metro isnt close, shered balcony.
- Jaroslaw (7/5): Good - Good location, close to the city transportation. Apartment with a balcony is big enough for a couple.
- Jasmine (8/5): Very good - I got what I paid for. 😁 The host was very helpful and responsive.
- Hernandez (10/5): Exceptional -
- Avrilover1984 (3/5): extremely
disappointing stay - cooking table and bathroom and a very small balcony Staff: Checking in is like a scavenger hunt. The staff will send you a bunch of pictures and ask you to get the key from the very difficult lock. We spent at least 15 minutes on the lock. The wifi password in the room is handwritten and hard to read. We tried various combinations, but we still couldn't figure out what the password was. The owner didn't answer any of our doubts within 14 days of our stay, including how to open the damn lock and what the wifi password is. After 14 days of stay Inside, they haven't cleaned it even once, and haven't responded to my message. In comparison, they TIMELY knocked on the door on the day of check-out to let you leave.
Hygiene:The cooking table is not clean, there are oil stains on the cabinets and walls. The kitchen utensils are very dirty and have a bad smell, I don't know how long it has not been used, and whether the staff clean it often. The cupboard next to the bed had a thick comforter but it had a very bad smell and I got a rash after a night's sleep. The toilet only provided two rolls of paper in 14 days, we were forced to buy, and the room was never cleaned. the landlord didn't want to reply and fix the problem, they just let you leave on time.
Equipment: generally old, the washing machine is rusted, and the shower head in the bathroom is also faulty, and the shower mode cannot be adjusted. The cooking table was very old and full of oil stains. It is advisable to bring your own bedding or wear clothes to sleep as you may experience itchy skin
Safety and value for money: I can't understand that 60 euros a night's accommodation is in one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Athens. The colored people downstairs will wander mindlessly when night falls, and the road is full of motorcycle noise. As well as occasionally seeing some drug addicts and prostitutes in the neighborhood.
- John (10/5): Exceptional - I loved this quaint little apartment. The host was very friendly, apartment was very clean,. The apartment was located within walking distance to the Metro system and buses. Several small stores located close for grocery shopping. Price was great. Definitely will be back.
- Amri (8/5): Clean place and good location. - Good location , clean The internet not working
- Magdalena (9/5): Very good localization. Apartament is very close to city center, metro and shops. - I missed a hair dryer
- Mihaela (1/5): Bad - Nothing Everything
- Silme (5/5): Passable - The apartment itself is nice, clean and comfortable, the host is very helpful and the indications to collect the keys etc are precise. The location is apparently one of the worst neighborhoods of Athens, I felt very uncomfortable as a woman especially that I was staying alone. It is not safe at all, especially after getting dark there are a lot of shady people hanging out on the streets and around the building.
- Hsin-ting (7/5): Good - Location is good. Just a reminder: no hair dryer. We didn’t get our keys at the informed place so we need to wait for 20 mins until a helper came to open the door. There were still bags from the previous customers in the room… The helper is nice though.
- Anna (3/5): acceptable when on a budget - nothing tiny and bad area of the city
