• Alan (8/5): On balance a good solution for a week stay in a comfortable apartment - Centrally located with S and U stations within 10 min walk, shops 2-3 min. Spacious rooms in an older style building. Well-equipped kitchen. Shower is ample in size but poorly designed. Its door opens only in and anyone above average girth will have difficulty getting in closed one inside. Oh and it ran out of hot water half way through one morning. Beware the range hood in the kitchen. I got a nasty scalp wound from a sharp corner. No plug in the kitchen sink. On inquiry this was known and there seemed to be no plan to provide one.

• Catriona (10/5): Living like a local !! - Great Location and all that was needed in the kitchen.. comfortable living space. Lovely cafés and restaurants nearby ..good for public transport links and a short walk to the Deutsche Oper. Couldn't fault it!

• Tihomir (10/5): - This is the best location in Berlin if you plan to enjoy the city spirit. Right next to the pedestrian street of the beautiful Charlottenburg quarter, at the same time away from the noise. Nice old-style building, boutique rooms, high ceilings, clean and cozy. Close to two metro-lines that can bring you directly everywhere in Berlin, including the airport. The sound insulation of the toilet could be better :-)

• Hahnenfuss (9/5): - Tolle Lage, sehr sauber, super Umgebung zum Kaffeetrinken und Essen gehen Sehr enge Dusche für große Personen da Duschtüre nach innen geöffnet wird. Ein Ventilator wäre sehr schön gewesen sowie ein Stöpsel für das Küchenwaschbecken.

• Julien (1/5): Avoid this place !!!! Terrible - Nothing Terrible stay, avoid this place. Woken up early Saturday by loud jackhammer noise from construction right in the garden of the building, not mentioned in the listing. The apartment layout is awful ; you have to walk through the bathroom to reach the bedroom. The bed is rock hard and extremely uncomfortable. No rest, no peace, and no compensation offered by the host. Very disappointing experience.

Located on a quiet street, but good access to train links, a great range of eating places and supermarkets ( Lidl ) all within short walking distance. Altogether a great apartment. Could have done with more than one bath towel each for a whole week . Owners/hosts seemed to be away, so only saw the son when we arrived.
• Barbara (9/5): Relax While in Berlin - The apartment is located in the quiet residential neighbourhood of Charlottenburg, a 10 minute walk from the S bahn Station which is a 10 minute ride from the Berlin main train station. There is shopping on the pedestrian only street nearby. The apartment has a large sitting/eating area, a narrow, but functional kitchen, a modern bathroom, and a small bedroom with 2 single beds. There is a small garden area outside where we were able to relax and have snacks when it was warm enough. Twice a week there is a very large open market at the end of the street where we were able to buy fresh produce, meats, bakery items, etc. The apartment worked well for us. We could recommend the nearby restaurant, Cantinetta, for excellent Italian meals and service. We would have appreciated a map of Berlin and an information package for nearby grocery stores and restaurants being available in the apartment.

• Anonymous (10/5): Wonderful - would highly recommend. - The photos don’t do this apartment justice. It’s beautiful. Great location - lots of shops and restaurants nearby. It’s really easy to get to other areas of Berlin from here using public transport. The zoo is within walking distance. We really enjoyed our stay here. Nothing.
• Howard (9/5): Great for a family stay. - For us as a family, the location and facilities of the place were just great for our nine day stay. Went to the Deutsches Oper just down the street and enjoyed the comfortable environs around the neighborhood. Public transportation easy to access. We used bikes most of the time we were there, bit cramped in the back, but just fine. The kitchen and appliances were top notch. Thank you Brit. Somewhat cramped in the kitchen area, but was fine for our needs. A bit removed from many of the cultural/iconic places I associate with Berlin.
• Annette (9/5): Superb - This is a wonderfully comfortable place to stay in for an extended visit (a fortnight in our case). Close to shops, restaurants, pubs and a twice-weekly market, the apartment is very well equipped in terms of kitchen appliances and utensils (the coffee machine, in particular, is excellent) which make for easy self-catering. The living-cum-dining room is spacious and cozy, with soft and warm lighting and a generously-sized TV set. Access is very easy since the apartment is located on the ground floor and we particularly appreciated the storage space for our bicycles in the courtyard. The latter also contains bins which allow for the convenient disposal of rubbish and recyclable goods. All in all a gem of a place! There were some minor aspects which we felt could be improved and these were brought to the attention of the owner.
• Anneke (9/5): Nice apartment in Charlottenburg - Good communication with the host, keys were in a safety deposit box. Location close to U-bahn and restaurants. Clean apartment with good facilities and good internet connection. A bit noisy on the street side and also on the other side because of emptying of glass container early in the morning.
