• Manuela (9/5): Stilvolles & zentral gelegenes Appartement - Sehr sauber, gemütlich und tiptop eingerichtet, zentrale Lage, viel Platz, unkompliziertes Check-In und Check-Out Strassenlärm hört man auch in der Wohnung - bei schlechtem Schlaf ev. Oropax mitnehmen
• Liane (10/5): Traumhafte Unterkunft in lebendiger Umgebung, mit guter Nahverkehrsanbindung und Topp Service. - Wir haben rechtzeitig einen Kontakt bekommen, der auch problemlos erreichbar war als wir wegen Stau die angegebene Ankunftszeit nicht einhalten konnten. Trotz des entstehenden Durcheinanders bei uns, hat derjenige, der uns die Schlüssel übergeben hat, flexibel reagiert und immer Kontakt gehalten. Auch auf diesem Weg nochmal ein herzliches Dankeschön an Bas für die Mühe. Die Fenster könnten mal nachgestellt werden. So wie es jetzt ist muss man immer aufpassen, dass die Fenster auch wirklich zu sind und bei dem ein oder anderen schon mal ganz schön drücken um es wirklich zu zu bekommen. Macht man das nämlich nicht, merkt man trotz der hohen Lage das man in einer Großstand mit viel Verkehr ist.

• Patrick (8/5): Zentrale Lage, guter Service, ausreichend Platz machen einen Aufenthalt in Berlin sehr angenehm. - Zentrale Lage, perfekte hochwertige Ausstattung, bequeme Betten, ausreichend Platz, sehr guter Service vom Vermieter Nachts war der Verkehr (zentrale Lage) durchaus zu hören, vor allem die Straßenbahn. Einen gesunden Schlaf stört es aber nicht.

• Brudos (9/5): Great place to stay in Berlin, would be excellent for a family needing two bed rooms. - There are excellent connections to public transport right in front of the building. The neighborhood was safe with lots of restaurant options. We were met at the property and given an excellent tour and review of the apartment and the area. The apartment is on the top floor of the building with its own little terrace, in warmer weather it would be a great place to sit and enjoy take-out and a beer. Shower was hot and had good water pressure but was a bit wonky to adjust.
• Richard (9/5): Clean, comfortable, and convenoent apartment in a great neighborhood! - The apartment was clean, comfortable, and convenient. The location was fantastic - steps away from multiple tram lines - we never had to travel more than 30 minutes to get to any tourist attraction or activity! The neighborhood had lots of coffee shops, restaurants, and grocery stores, so we ate well. The washing machine and heated drying rack worked fine. And even in December, we enjoyed some time on the balcony. Finally, Bass - our contact - was very communicative and accommodating - check in was a breeze. The sitting area around the kitchen table was cramped - but frankly was not a big problem...

The beds were pretty comfortable. There is an elevator and it has some really lovely views. Minor issues - shower head probably needs replacing. The door to the bedroom is very difficult to close. It would probably be nice if there was a wall between the kitchen and living room. It also got quite warm despite it being cold outside.
• Dan (9/5): Great accommodation, giving us a perfect base for a 3 night stay in the wonderful city of Berlin. - Great location - lots of local restaurants and bars. Tram into the centre right outside the front door - you can see it from the panoramic balcony. Apartment was warm, comfortable and more than large enough for three adults. Our host Valentina was great. She met us at the property when we arrived after significant delays at the airport. She showed us around and let us know where to get food before the supermarkets shut. She was also readily available to message or call if we needed her. Nothing, everything was good.

You can park your car right next to the apartment for a fee. The apartment itself is large, clean. Spacious room where you can spend nice evenings with family or friends.

• Emma (9/5): - Beautiful apartment, wonderful to sit out on the balcony and enjoy the view of the Tv tower, everything to a high standard, literally 5 min walk from tram that takes you into Berlin within 10 minutes, dozens of restaurants and bars within a few minutes walk. Apartment has everything you need, cork screw, lovely crockery, towels and bedding.

Wi-Fi is good(did not work when we got there, but I tracked the problem to a cable in the wall, had to push it further in) 6. beds where comfortable 7. Best suitable for 3 days stays. We where there for 7 days so we eventually found few faults with the apartment here and there. 1. Cleaning of the apartment, it was not CLEAN but it was clean enough for us. 2. We had problem with the dishwasher on the 2nd day but we got it working. 3. The dryer worked one time and then it stopped working, I had sent an email about that but did not get any reply, I also call the number and no one answered. 4. The location of the apartment is by a busy street so if you want to have some peace and quiet then this is not the apartment for you.

• Alison (6/5): Great location. Nice apartment, but could be cleaner and looked after a little better - Location is excellent. Beds and sofa were comfortable. It's a very nice apartment Facilities/cleanliness. Dust bunnies, couple of cobwebs, the air filter was packed with dust. Fridge was either warm or freezing. TV in the bedroom didn't work. Lift broke on the day we left so 5 stories with heavy cases. According to a resident of the building we met on the stairs, it was 'again'. I didn't bother reporting it because we were mostly out and didnt have much time. We just worked round things.
• Aleksandr (10/5): Truly Great Stay! :) - We were checked in by Susana, who was very kind and welcoming. She explained everything about the apartment in detail, so we had no issues during our stay. The kitchen is well-equipped—we even baked cakes in the oven! The beds are comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep. Both rooms are spacious enough, and the bathroom was clean, with excellent hot water and water pressure. A special mention for the coffee machine—I absolutely fell in love with it! We stayed during the New Year's holidays, and the apartment maintained a comfortable temperature. The heating system is adjustable, so we could warm up whenever needed. Important note for New Year's Eve: Danziger Str. becomes a hub for fireworks, with nearby residents gathering to celebrate. From about two hours before midnight until two hours after, the fireworks create a continuous and spectacular display, adding to the festive atmosphere. However, a word of caution—avoid stepping onto the balcony to watch, as fireworks were even flying towards it! Overall, we had a great stay and would happily return!

Whilst we understand they needed the portable cot stored in the apartment, we would have appreciated being advised that someone would be coming in to collect it.

Nice balcony for summer time. Lots of traffic noise from Windows and disturbing drunk neighbours in twin appartment disturbed our sleep (awake for 3 Hours).

• Patricia (6/5): Like the location but the bathroom spoilt it for me. - I like the location and the view from the lunge window. The balcony is a good place to have a drink and watch Berlin go by. The curtains in the lounge and bedrooms an improvement on the previous blinds. The fans were excellent addition. I did not like the bathroom. The shower needs to be able to be put on the wall so you can stand up and have a proper shower. I am too old to lie down in the bath, so ended up on my knees in the bath. There is no tray to cook items in the oven. Would be useful to be able to lock the toilet door.

• Maria (7/5): A lovely flat if you don't bring babies - The location is great. Near eberswalder strasse, near 2 tram lines, near lovely children's parks and restaurants. There are several supermarkets nearby as well as plenty of places to get takeout as well as spatkaufs and bakeries. The balcony is really nice, lovely views of Berlin. The flat has a lovely open plan living area and was very clean. There is enough equipment in the kitchen to cook with as well as a coffee machine and a nespresso. The washer and dryer were very useful if you don't want to pack loads of clothes, and there is also a dishwasher. We stayed for a week and the host gave me some cleaning products as it was nice to clean the bathroom and toilet once or twice. There was also a vacuum cleaner which was helpful as the kids got quite sandy in the parks. Lovely to have a bath for them and the shower is not as annoying as some have suggested. The lift was also great when coming in and out with strollers. The beds were comfortable. At the time of booking I requested either 2 cots or a cot and a toddler bed (as we were traveling with a baby and toddler). I also sent a separate message to the host to emphasise this. When i arrived there was only one cot and the host told me it would not be possible to get a toddler bed and that there was only one cot per flat. Luckily, the people in the smaller flat did not need to cot so the host was able to get this for us. It was annoying that I requested this twice and he didn't indicate that he had seen this message. The beds are fine for adults or older children but would have been too high for a toddler to sleep in. There were also no sheets on the cots (which were plastic travel cots), so we had to take pillow cases off the beds to use as sheets so they didn't have to lay on cold plastic. One of the cot mattresses had a stain which should have been cleaned. The high chair did not have a tray table and was too low against the bar area for the baby to eat from. Probably not obvious to someone without children. This is a fantastic flat to rent if you are people without children, but the sleeping situation is not great for babies and toddlers, especially if you travel with more than 1. Better book a hotel. The rooms were also quite hot (we turned off all the radiators but there seemed to be underfloor heating which we couldn't work out how to turn off). Opening the windows cooled the room down but the trams can be noisy if you are noise sensitive.
• Maite (10/5): Bright apartment with lovely terrace and views and very well located. - It is located very closed to public transports, there are many restaurants, coffee shops and a grocery store near the building. The views from the terrrace are lovely, the kitchen is fully equiped with coffee machine, kettle and so on. There is complimentary tea. There is TV with Netflix and the apartment is quite bright, spacious and clean. We stayed in the small apartment but it is spacious enough, the layout is quite good. I was delighted with the flat and I strongly recommend it to my colleges travelling for work next year to Berlin. Nothing. It was all good.

• Wojciech (4/5): An unfortunate misunderstanding at my expense - The location is quite good - not close to any U-bahn, but close to a couple of tram stops that criss-cross some of the city's key transportation hubs. It's a top floor apartment, so there is ample daylight - I liked that. GreatStay has 2 apartments at 64 Danziger Strasse - a huge fancy one and a much more ordinary one. The fancy one is the one that features havily in the booking.com post photos and that's the one I loved and the one I thought I was getting. The ordinary one also features in the post, but much less - that's the one I actually ended up getting. While there is nothing wrong with the smaller apartment as such (except the bathroom, which is, frankly, an emarassment - I honestly can't comprehend how anyone can offer a commercial property with a bathroom like that in 2023), it's simply not what (I believed) I paid for and what I was expecting and looking forward to (particulalry that large panoramic view). I got a very ordinary, rather small one-bedroom apartment with essentially zero storage space and dated kitchen appliances. Everything about that place screams "short-term profit maximization", which I don't particularly appreciate. I spoke to GreatStay the moment I moved in and they explained that as per booking.com's policy multiple properties at the same address need to be listed on one post. It's a little odd, but I have no reason to disbelieve that - however, I don't believe that the post made it clear enough that there are *two* separate apartments offering very different standards. Overall a very mixed experience: the location is nice and the apartment too (sort of...), but I still consider myself to be misled by the way the properties are presented ("tangled" so to speak) online. In any other circumstances it would have been a one-star, but given GreatStay's explanation and overall politeness, plus the fact that the smaller apartment wasn't entirely terrible, it's a super-generous four-star. I strongly think that GreatStay should make the ad(s) much clearer for future guests. As for the "short-term profit maximization" - it really only works in the short term.

Great windows. Coffee shop/bakery and convenience store with fresh food steps away. The shower. It had a hand-held showerhead rather than overhead. No a/c but fans in every room and big windows. Would stay there again...these were just little things.

• Claire (10/5): A great Berlin apartment in a great location - After reading the reviews, I was a little nervous about the apartment. However, everything was great, and everything that had been complained about in the reviews had been fixed. It was nice and easy to get they keys, the elevator worked fine, the apartment was clean and tidy, there were new smaller pillows on the beds, there were bins in the apartment and clear instructions on where to put rubbish. The apartment was a great layout and size, and we had everything that we needed (coffee machine , iron etc). And we loved the balcony and the location. Thank you so much!

• Oliver (4/5): great location but don’t be sucked in by the photos this is not that apartment - the location was fantastic but sadly this is not the property in the photos and was therefore somewhat of a disappointment. it s oversold in the listing and is not the property in the photos. it is a little on the shabby side and wasn’t particularly clean either.

Its perfetly located in Prenzlauer Berg, which has plenty of great cafes and restaurants to offer. The hosts GreatStay have been very nice. Its a busy main street out there but it did not bother us as we lived in downtown Prenzlauer Berg.

I didn’t like that the bed clothes and towels of the previous guests that had been washed were hanging in one small room inside the apartment and there was a strong (bad) smell after humidity. It was also not ver convenient that there wasn’t an elevator, but I know this is something common in “old” buildings in Berlin…
