• jennifer (3/5): Loved the balcony and location! - The view of the Acropolis and being in the heart of Plaka Fire escape blocked with broken electric blind and locked door grill. Is that even legal?? Stairs up to flat of different heights and even landlords helper tripped on them! Beds and furniture ingrained with smoke. Beds not comfy either…. No door to upstairs bedroom, worrying spiral stair case takes you up then you are on your own! No outdoor windows to downstairs bedrooms. Pots and pans in a black bin bag in store room along with ladders, buckets and an assortment of junk!! The store room runs alongside the two downstairs bedrooms and is the bit between the bedrooms and outdoor light 😂 I could go on but tbh if you intend to eat out and just want a balcony for a glass of wine overlooked by the magnificent Acropolis (and don’t mind the smell of cigarettes) then you should be fine

• Eileen (9/5): Great location inside the heart of The Plaka and comfortable, pretty rooftop patio. - The location was ideal--right in the heart of The Plaka. Loved the rooftop patio. It was great for playing cards. Great view of The Acropolis at night. Cute decor. The shower curtain in the main bathroom was not well fitted and allowed water to gather on the floor. The toilet seat in the upstairs bathroom was not properly attached and moved considerably during use.

• Zuzanna (8/5): - Piękne otoczenie, taras z widokiem na Akropol, na uliczce knajpki, turystyczna część Aten Widać ząb czasu w apartamencie. Kiedyś musiało to być luksusowe mieszkanie, dziś już troszkę traci myszką, ale nie bardzo przeszkadza to nam.

Property needs maintenance badly. - Location & laundry Broken Toilet seats, very dangerous stair rail, no kitchen sink plug, upstairs bathroom shower handle broken, old hair and dirt etc next to door on floor, cracking paint & dry rot in timber upstairs, 23 dead pot plants on the balcony everywhere. Sudden lack of communication until my husband told John he repaired the toilet seat & handrail.

• Wainwright (8/5): We thoroughly enjoyed our short time there. - The location was fantastic, in the heart of the old town, and close to all the sights there. Apartment was spacious and comfortable. We only stayed one night so we did not really have a chance to identify any areas for improvement.
• Ruby (6/5): Pleasant - The townhouse was near Acropolis and there are a lot of shops and restaurants right outside the front door. It is on the end of the main shopping strip in Plaka making it very convenient. Beds were also reasonably comfortable and shower was decently sized. It also has a beautiful view of the Acropolis. The townhouse could use some maintenance. For the price per night one would expect for it to be better maintained. The terrace wasn’t as clean as shown in the pictures, and all the plants were dead. The air conditioning in both the master bedroom and the upstairs bedroom wasn’t working, making it uncomfortably hot and hard to sleep. We also experienced a power outage during our stay.

Only a small negative. Master bedroom aircon was not working properly - I saw this in an earlier review, so presumed it would be fixed. This is an older property and we knew that their could be some issues.

Roof top is huge with acropolis view. If not so hot we would have used it. Beds were plentiful and comfy to accommodate our group of 4. Large apartment. Most of the AC (all but1) were excellent. Front balcony overlooking bustling shopping street was lovely for coffee. Getting luggage up stairs was the only negative but it was also expected in old town.

Ery fun, trendy area full or restaurants and shops The place is older, would be very difficult for those with orthopedic issues, a lot of steps to apt. Alao a winding stair case to top floor would be difficult for some. Unfortunately top floor bedroom does not have a central air unit so it was quite warm. We choose not to sleep up there due to the temps

We were highly satisfied. The only complaint is that the hair dryer in the bathroom did not work. Tried in several different outlets. But I'm sure it will be replaced promptly.

• Robert (8/5): Very good - The videos for accessing the building were very helpful. The views were great. Property was as described. It smelled clean upon arrival. The big table and sofa provided plenty of space for gathering. Individual room heaters with remotes kept the temperature very comfortables. The location was great, only an 6-10 minute walk to both entrances to they Parthenon. The noise on the street below, between 11-2 am, made it difficult for our family Member who was sleeping on the couch. The upstairs shower drained very slow which made it unusable for back to back showers.

You do have to be aware of the tight, spiral staircase to get to the patio with the beautiful view of the Acropolis! But, it’s sooooo worth it!

• Tania (7/5): lovely apartment in the center of Athens, great location - the location of the villa is superb, very central on a walking street just a short walk to the Acropolis. great restaurants and lots of shopping all around. the host was very responsive overall and arranged transfers for us. we felt like we got to live like locals for a couple of days the AC in one of the bedrooms did not work well especially during our last night there. there was a floor fan that helped. we did not contact the host as we got home really late and were leaving early the next morning and did not want to bother them late at night only one of the 2 bathrooms was usable for showers, as the showerhead in the other bathroom was over the toilet in a strange space saving configuration. one shower was sufficient for us though

• Andrew (9/5): Lovely apartment to experience central Athens with a family. - This apartment was a very convenient way to spend a night in Athens. Its location in Plaka was perfect and provided great proximity to many historic sites as well as shopping and restaurants. Our host made check in very easy. The rooftop balcony with views of the acropolis was a nice touch and a perfect way for us to end our stay in Greece. The upstairs room is quite warm despite the AC otherwise we were quite comfortable.

• Luminita (1/5): A disastrous exoerience - - I had an extremely disappointing experience at this accommodation. First of all, the bathroom on the ground floor had a very unpleasant smell. The bathroom upstairs was even more problematic – just a simple shower hose placed between the toilet and the sink, and the water didn't drain properly.The ceiling upstairs was cracked, reflecting a general state of improvisation. The terrace was neglected, with dead flowers and broken chairs. The iron chairs were extremely hot under the sunlight, making them unusable.The house was full of useless items for a tourist, and the nightstand was occupied by two lamps, leaving little room for personal belongings. The spiral staircase, very narrow and inconveniently positioned above the table downstairs, allowed dust to fall onto the table.The air conditioning didn't work in all rooms, and the windows faced other dirty rooms.Overall, this was the worst accommodation experience of my life. I do not recommend this place to anyone and hope the owners will take urgent measures to improve the conditions offered.
• Rajdeep (9/5): Fabulous, endearing, unique property located in the heart of the city. - Location was incredible! We couldn’t have picked a better spot to stay and enjoy the ambience of Athens. AC was not the best but no fault of the host as it is the open layout of the unique home.
• Siobhan (9/5): Lovely apartment in great location - Really good location in the middle of Plaka. A great street to stay on for buying souvenirs and walking to the Acropolis. The view from the rooftop to the Acropolis is amazing. It was great to drink our coffee on the roof every morning and look at the crowds at the top of the Acropolis. Beds are comfy and the apartment is large. It felt roomy for our family of five. I recommend coffee and gelato next door at Peters Ice cream. It was the best coffee I had in Athens.
• Peter (8/5): Very good - Fantastic location on a pedestrianised street. Lots of restaurants, shops and bars within easy walking distance, Fabulous view of the Parthenon from the terrace window. Hosts very helpful, although we didn't actually meet them. The property is a little quirky, with an internal spiral staircase to the top bedroom and terrace. Dated décor added to the charm AC in the main social space was welcome. 3 good sized bedrooms plus a large couch meant we could have a room each. Some water, coffee /tea and milk would have been nice, but not essential.

• Ilona (7/5): Perfect locacion - Old-style apartment in the heart of Athens, perfect location, helpful, kind staff! The apartment is in much worse condition than in the pictures, cosmetic repairs are required. The terrace area could have been arranged much better, it was not in a good look.

We had been told we could leave our bags till check in as we called to say we were arriving early , the host changed it on arrival and we had to go on tour with our bags , luckily the tour guide was very nice

• Donald (10/5): Comfortable flat in a fabulous location,. - Villa 127's location could not be better....in the heart of the Plaka with restaurants, shops, and attractions within easy walking distance. Kitchen was adequate because who wants to cook when you can eat at a local restaurant for reasonable prices. Villa is in average condition, with a very long set of stairs from the street and a circular staircase to access the upper bedroom. Luckily we were able to haul our suitcases up the stairs from the street but the upper bedroom occupant had to leave her suitcase on the main floor and carry individual items up the stairs.
• Ferenc (9/5): great location, very attentive host - Situated close to the Acropolis, the villa is a great starting point for exploring Athens. Major squares with metro stations like Syntagma and Monastiraki are within easy walking distance. Adrianoy street itself has many shops, restaurants and is a joy to walk down. Luckily the noise of the street is not audible the bedrooms. The terrace has a wonderful view of the Acropolis and is a great place for chilling after a long walk, or having a drink or coffee. Thanks to Mr Kappos for arranging luggage storage for us (we arrived early on check-in day) and for helping us when we managed to lock ourselves out of the apartment. We called him and within 10 minutes he sent over a young man called Theodore who saved the day. The bathroom upstairs is smaller and thus less comfortable than the one downstairs, but it was not a dealbreaker for us.
• Diana (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location. The property is very comfortable and well equipped. Thanks to Mr Kappos who was always ready to help with any request we had... taxi transfers ,luggage storage etc. Definitely Villa 127 will be my first choice for future visits at Athens
