- Andrea (8/5): - The location was really central, which was perfect because we didn't want to rent a car. It was at the edge of the biggest and most expensive tourist area, so it wasn't the cheapest place to stay. But we were traveling with our two cats, and none of the other rentals in Ireland seemed to accept cats, just dogs. So it was great to find a place in the middle of Dublin where we could stay with our cats. Because we were staying for well over 2 months, we had a ton of luggage, plus the cats, so finding a place to hang out until the room was ready was a little difficult. But we emailed the staff, and they were as helpful as they could be with a difficult scheduling/logistical situation. The apartments, and beds, were rather small, considering the price. Considering we were staying for over two months, a little more room would have been nice. But it wasn't a deal breaker. Also the photos posted for "our" room were -- according to an email from a staff -- meant to be representative as opposed to exactly the room we ended up in. Which was a tiny bit frustrating, because the ones in the pictures were definitely a bit larger. But all in all our cats were safe, we were safe, and we could walk to pretty much everywhere we wanted to go in Dublin. Very pleased with our stay.

- Corry (8/5): - The location is close to st Stephen green, many shops and restaurants The rooms are roasted, the air circulation wasn’t good because we can’t open the windows wider and make the room like sauna. We couldn’t stay in the rooms during the day. Even at night still very hot.

- Laetitia (7/5): Nice appartement in the center but quite noisy - We had 2 appartments in the center of Dublin (next door to each other), really well located. The appartements were nice, spacious and well equipped, with conformable beds. We had initially booked one appartement for 6 but were moved to 2 separate appartements so we didn't stay in the one on the pictures. Close to bars so it was quite noisy at night. In one of the appartements there was not enough hot water for the showers.

- Myrna (8/5): - Everything was terrific. The only thing i would complain about is the advertisement of early check in. I booked with them specifically for that reason, knowing we had an overnight flight. The site says to let them know in advance early check in is needed and we did that only to be told twice, to let them know in advance. ?? Fortunately, everything worked out. We went to the headquarters to check in and they very nicely obliged an early check in. The apt was nice, clean and comfy and the agency was, in the end, very good and the staff was super nice and helpful. Highly recommend, just remember to go to headquarters to check in if you havent had early check in confirmed :)

- Inés (4/5): Not as good as expected - The accommodation is in a central location and easy to get to from the airport but it has some inconveniences . As a positive part, I would highlight the staff who assisted us, who were always very friendly and conciliatory, seeking maximum comfort in our stay despite the inconveniences. The area is very very noisy, and it is impossible to rest at night due to the poor acoustics of the apartment and the traffic and bars at the door. If you come with friends it may be a good option, but I think it is a complicated option to handle whether traveling as a family or as a couple. Furthermore, the address is not necessarily the one listed on the reservation but rather one in the nearby area, which is important to keep in mind since it may be a different environment. Finally, it should be noted that the keys are collected at a location other than the home, they let us pick them up at an office 15 minutes walk from the apartment. Important if you go with a large suitcase and/or baby stroller as it can be difficult to handle.

- Nivaga (5/5): Below average - - Great location - central and close to many attractions in Dublin - Ability to store luggage before/after check in while you roam the city - The apartment was a nice enough place to sleep, shower and store our luggage while we explored Dublin. - Check in was painful and a bad start to our stay! - what they state in Booking.com and the City Break Apartments app are different. The information on these two different communications are not in sync. We were walking around in the rain trying to locate the door to the building, we find the building but the code provided in the app wouldn’t let me in. - They only sent the directions via email AFTER I called them, only then I find out I was at the right building but the code they have in the app is different to the one they emailed (I have photos for evidence) by then I’m soaked as there’s no shelter - They should state and make it clear in the description of the apartment that there are no lifts. Carrying your luggage up three flights of stairs was very annoying after the painful check in. (Photo#1) - I put in my via Booking.com for 2 guests, one of the beds is a sofa bed but they did not provide any sheets, blankets or pillows. Again, after I called from returning home from our tour, they had someone send it over in half an hour, but they only came with a sheet, NO pillows & blanket and by this time it’s after 11:30pm. Not ideal. These things should’ve already been at the apartment. - Sofa has wear & tear as well as the blinds (Photo #2) - Window for the kitchen opens up to some sort of block with rubbish in it, it had a nasty smell (Photo#4) - Safe provided but doesn’t work Once these issues are sorted, City Break Apartments will be well on its way to doing well in the accommodation industry.

- Daisy (6/5): Great location, not so great check in experience - Location We had various issues with checking in, payment was not taken even though card details were provided when making the booking. We were not given our room number and I had to email/message for a response, leaving us waiting in the main entrance with no where to go. This was inconvenient with our bags etc. During our stay, I had an email to say that if payment was not made we would lose access to the key/app meaning no way of getting in to our room. My card details were provided when I booked the hotel so I have no idea why they didn’t take the money prior to us arriving like any other hotel/apartment would. After I was sent a message saying we needed to pay, they then took the money anyway using the card provided, and I have now been charged twice as a result. Photos extremely misleading. The rooms are not modern and they are very small. Our room was boiling and had little ventilation. You are also charged €1 which you don’t get back. This is not mentioned when booking. I also feel like 16.30 is a very late time to check in.

- Rosemary (5/5): Very disappointed - Fair size. Good location. When we booked we were unaware that we would have to pick up the keys from a different location, almost 30 minutes walk from the place we were staying. The address was different to that we thought we’d booked. We were looking for 10a Aungier Street but that didn’t exist. However the key opened the door to 10 Aungier Street, so we went in but there was no flat 12. We tried to call the number on keyring but the number wasn’t recognised, fortunately a member of the public helped us to find the property. The photo on the directions to find the property were out of date. The flat was hot and stuffy, with only one floor standing fan to circulate the warm air. The flat faced the busy road so you couldn’t keep the windows open at night due to the noise of party goers and traffic. In the first bedroom, the blind arm was broken and the window didn’t seal correctly as it didn’t dampen the sound when closed. The wardrobe door was damaged with no hinge at the bottom so we couldn’t use the wardrobe for fear the huge mirrored door would fall off. Both bedside tables were damaged and there were no plugs near the bed in order to use a night clock. The second bedroom was not so bad, just very little space to manoeuvre around the bed. The main living space had the single bed set up but there was a mark on the sheet on arrival. The window locks had bear wires exposed. We had booked for 5 people yet there were only kitchen facilities for 4 people. We had asked for another set of keys and were told that they would be put in the flat the next day but they never arrived which was extremely inconvenient (one of us having to be woken up to let some of our group in) The heat and the noise in the flat meant that we hardly slept and have returned home exhausted and run down. We definitely WOULD NOT recommend this property in its current state and feel it was drastically overpriced.
- Phil (5/5): We stayed here because of convenience. - it is a good location and large enough for my family. It is loud, needs a better renovation, floors are in bad shape, doors don't open fully and the there was an issue where the water heater closet door fell open on it's own after we left and we had a hard time getting back in as it blocked the front door from opening. It required reaching in over the top of the front door, standing on a trash can to push the closet door out of the way. Dishes were dirty on the shelf and there was no dish sponge or paper towels. It is also a very long walk up the stairs to get in with bags.

Apartment was alot smaller than expected, no cot provided when one was requested, had to make bed for 2 year old on floor after moving furniture to make space. Was a furnace and no way to cool it down. Fan in bathroom was very noisy, shower was poor, a small trickle and kept turning hotter as the gauge would slide round to hot. Stains on mattress and sheets, very minimal space. Toaster didn't work and tripped electrics. Entry to property via app on city breaks, if your phone runs out of battery you can't gain access.

My daughter and boyfriend had to share a bed, which was not ideal. The bathroom had a strong sewer smell. We called and someone came and bleached the shower drain which helped some but did not last. We also had trouble with the toilet not stopping runnign water after flushing. So, the plumbing was having issues.

- Phil (7/5): Decent - The location was good and the apartment had the basics. It was overall good. There is a boxing gym below the apartment. It was really loud with music and the sound of the body bag being punched. It was off and on but noise was really a factor. The terrace was visible but not useable. A real bummer. Be prepared for a serious walk up with your bags, Steep stairs, three flights. The apartment address was changed on me three times, right up to the last minute. I walked to the one on my initial agreement and it didn't work. Would have loved a heads up on the location change, not just a new address on a map burried in an email. Everything else was smooth.

Communication was good and team sorted all staying in same building (Alexandra) which was brilliant. Housekeeping team did a brilliant job all 3 apartments were super clean. Location very easy to get all round Dublin. Lidl right across the road. Traffic light on main road beeped for bedrooms on the 2 first floors till about 1am but this was a small thing

Very, very hot and windows only open 3 inches. Very loud area, which you expect for the city centre, but impossible to sleep with the windows shut as the room never gets cool enough. Asked for a cot for baby that was forgotten but they brought it quickly when I called. Very thin walls, neighbouring apartments arguing and singing. Fine for a budget apartment, but at £500 per night I expected better

When we arrived to check in, we were told that the apartment wasn't available and the staff didn't have any clue of this apartment. I hadn't agreed on changing the apartment or didn't even knew about the new location before asking, why the address or area didn't match what was originally agreed. We were directed to another apartment across the river about 2 kilometres from this apartment. I felt very scammed because we chose this apartment especially for the location, but were situated in location we would have never chosen especially with the price of this place.

The description was misleading because I had purposely booked 6 beds for 6 women and found out a few days before the trip that it was 3 double beds. As it happened one of the party couldn’t come, and one used the sofa bed and a very small single was put in one of the rooms. Otherwise, the sleeping arrangements would have been unsuitable One shower was very noisy, and one shower had very low pressure.

- Guy (5/5): ok apartment, rude service - Apartment was ok. Location is amazing Be aware! In the fine print it says that you need to collect the keys from their office in other part of Dublin. The rep on the phone was so rude and uncommunicative that only after I asked for her manager things got solved.

We had booked the apartment because they confirm - First thing I have to say is that they changed the location and the apartment he had booked and paid for without informing us. The apartments (2) were much less modern, comfortable and clean than the ones we had booked and seen in the photos. We didn’t like it because it was NOT the one we had booked. Difficult to check in if you arrive after office hours.
- Matthew (3/5): Hot water did not work every day. Very noisy neighbors in apartments next door and above on some nights at all hours. - Location It was on the 3rd floor with no elevator/lift. It was not mentioned in the add. We had my 80 year old mother with us and when I let them no they could care less. Had to leave early due to her taking a tumble and we were still charged full amount.
- Michael (8/5): Dublin visit - Great location. Quiet and convenient. No light over the bathroom mirror made shaving tricky. The water heater came on at odd times and made a loud clunking noise. We reported the issue and was told that this is normal.

- Niels (2/5): Not a great appartement - The location was great. In the middle of the centre. We had no hot water so the shower was icecold. That was terrible. Also, they said it was an appartement for 4 persons, but the bed (couch) in the livingroom of appartment 1 was really small and instable so it was difficult to sleep with 2 people on that bed. At night there was a light coming in to the livingroom from outside so the room wasn't dark when we were going to sleep. Appartment 2 was ok. But appartement 1 was really bad. I won't go there again.
- Loïc (5/5): Not an apartment to live, but just for a few day, it does the job. But overpriced ! - The flat is well locate, there is a shop just in front of the door. Dublin is a living city, and there is a pedestrian street near by to enjoy it. The pictures show all the building, so we were in a small flat, the walls are thin, so you can hear every conversation from you neighbours. The floor in the bathroom was broken.

- Ana (7/5): a good stay - Very good location of the actual property. Spacious and had the amenities we needed. Upstairs bedroom was really comfortable. The office where you collect the keys is extremely far away from the actual property and the address they give you on booking might not be the property alocated to you by the office. Property needs to be better soundproofed as you could hear everything from the bars and street outside and i had a lot of difficulty sleeping. Heaters were not working apart from the one in the living room so the apartment was quite cold and the water did not seem to warm up enough.

- Floriglow (9/5): Great stay will come back again. - Very cool urban apartment. The location was absolutely fantastic. Bright and cheerful! Lots of stairs to get up there ( worth it though at the top) . There were six of us but we weren’t couples we were children and siblings and there weren’t single beds like the photos which was awkward.

- Fionnuala (2/5): Dark, dingy and very disappointing - Centrally located Apartment was small, very dark, dingy and depressing. Having been advertised looking bright and spacious in the photos, the seating area was oddly shaped, uncomfortable and not really big enough for four people to spend time together. When we arrived, the dishwasher was already leaking foam onto the floor. When I put the oven on, there was a strong smell of burning wire which raised safety concerns and would have made any food that we made taste strange. The TV also didn’t work properly and the bathroom had a fan that was so loud you couldn’t switch the light on in the bathroom at night without waking everybody else. I also have doubts about the security of the apartment as it is on the ground floor in a very Inner City area and both the glass and the latches seemed really flimsy. Overall, I thought the apartment represented really per value for money relative to the cost and did not align with the way that it was described or photographed. Additionally, the requirement to go to an office in a different part of the city in order to pick up the keys was really inconvenient and in the era of lockboxes is really outdated and unnecessary. I really would not recommend this apartment.

- Anisha (6/5): Pleasant - Location was central. Very hot on top floor of building made it difficult to sleep as there were no fans available in the apartment. Limited instructions on how to use stove, hot water, microwave and it took the host several days to finally get me the correct instructions after I sent many emails. Stair access only but stairs were very uneven and there were no hand rails, making it very treacherous to carry my baby up and down
- Jo (6/5): Great location but it is a compromise for everything else - Location was very convenient and close to everything Check in time was 4pm, we were waiting until 6pm before we could check in with very little communication from the owners. There were a few things broken and facilities were very poor, there wasn’t even a chopping board. Key collection is 30 mins from the apartments. Very noisy at night.

- Morgan (6/5): Fine but cramped and not worth the money - Location. Good instruction booklet in the apartment. Far to small for the number of people it says it can support (4). No blankets provided for the child with the cot. Toilet seat had hair on it when we arrived. Having to go quite a distance just to collect the key which served no value to us and then no support offered to get to the actual apartment. Ridiculous to be charged the amount that we were for such a small apartment. Photos on listing are very unclear and misleading as to which room is which.

No power meant no cooking, no charging cell phones, having to buy coffee and meals - The location although it was inconvenient having to pick the keys up across the city and then travel to the apartment. I didn’t know this until the booking was confirmed. We had issues with the hot water tank blowing the breaker so we did not have access to the kitchen, tv, or wifi our first night and morning. Emails directly to City Break Apartments and messages to Booking.com were ignored. No compensation offered at all considering we didn’t have access to the amenities stated in the listing with no power.
