Guest Reviews
- Kelly (1/5): Absolutely disgusting treatment to customers who have already paid for accommodation - Didnt get to see property as property cancelled on us last minute No communication…. Had to call Booking.com to let them know property hadn’t sent code….. had to wait 45mins for property to respond to be told they could no longer accommodate us
Veremos.
- Bygraves (7/5): Good -
- Darrell (8/5): Excellent value for money for a very comfortable flat in a wonderful, peaceful location. - Warm, comfortable, peaceful. Wonderful that toilet roll, washing up liquid and hand soap are provided.
excellent location for Guys hospital.
Felt very safe walking back in the dark. How about older aged people having access to a rubber bath mat for the shower and a hand rail to make it easier to get in and out of the bath.
- Shelley (1/5): Bad -
- Vickyz (10/5): Exceptional - Spacious There is no lift is made a big problem
- Anna (5/5): Property dirty and in a poor state of repair. Disappointing. - Good location.
Comfortable mattress and sofa.
Hosts / agents were responsive and had two dining chairs and tea towels delivered. Kitchen very dirty, poorly equipped and in poor state of repair.
Found two dirty tins containing old oil and food in the oven.
Chopping boards visibly dirty.
Only a small amount of crockery which was largely chipped and cracked.
Two wine glasses - one cracked.
No tea towels.
Multiple light bulbs missing or not working.
Fitted sheet on bed didn’t fit properly.
Curtains hanging off of hooks so couldn’t close them properly.
Two very inadequate stools at dining table, one of which very damaged with foam exposed.
- Daniel (3/5): Have stayed in many apartments in London for a similar price and reviews and got to say this was the worst by far. Wou - Not a bad location from the tube station and a quiet area. The key collection is a 10-15 min walk away. Not great if you have bags.
The entrance to the building and stairs are filthy and quite clearly a lot of cannabis is smoked in downstairs flats. All the communal areas stink of it.
The flat is very tired with terrible stains on the carpet in the living room and bedroom. So much so I didn’t want to walk around in bare feet.
The decor is poor and worn. Seat covers on chairs ripped and missing. The curtains have several hooks missing and thus hang down.
The toilet seat is loose
There is a lot of mould in the bathroom. The shower screen is filthy and the rubber seals are caked in dirt. The dishwasher doesn’t work.
There were no toiletries in the bathroom except for some handwash.
The windows are filthy and don’t look like they have been cleaned on the outside for years.
The Yale lock on the door is loose. Overall very poor quality
- Mohammed (5/5): Passable -
- Justin (8/5): Good value for the money. - Good price, equipped kitchen, coffee, comfortable bed.
- Fiona (3/5): Good location, BUT .... - The location. Nearby tube, good shops etc. The flat is extremely shabby. Paying the same price to stay in a nice hotel with all the modern trimmings, it felt a complete rip-off. The curtains are hanging off and don't meet in the middle, the toilet seat was broken so you're sliding around on a bucking bronco, there's a note telling you not to use the advertised dishwasher or you trip the electrics, woodchip walls and yellowing once-white paint, the battered old sofa sinks to the floor when you sit on it and is horribly uncomfortable, the advertised toiletries consists of an inch of extremely watered down hand-wash in the toilet and a half bottle of washing up liquid in the kitchen to replace the broken dishwasher. The bath panel was all broken in, mildew in the bathroom and a general air of couldn't care less about it. For an apartment with a value of over half a million I really think it's an insult to charge a lot of money to stick people into a premises they clearly take no pride in.
On top of this, you don't find out until on the day that you have to collect the keys to this shambles from a designated sleazy looking booze shop down the road. We were lucky and left our luggage in the car but if travelling with baggages this requires a really unwelcome faff at the end of it. It's only around a couple of corners, but if you don't know where you are going and are heavily laden, it may as well be a million miles away. A little warning on booking would have been welcome.
On the plus side, the location is good, well placed.
One last word of warning, for flats the sound proofing is non- existent, there are signs inside warning of this, too, and they're not kidding !
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kevin (7/5): Good - Nice location, easy to find. A nuisance only finding out the keys had to be collected from a shop nearby. If not from the area finding the shop is difficult and taxi coukd not stop outside. So had to walk back from the shop lugging cases.
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Priya (1/5): Bad - Bed room The toilet was dirty and dust in living room and table
- Agustin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Matthew (6/5): Pleasant - Comfortable bed, clean, everything I would need. Thermostat temperamental and a bit tired looking. Could do with a lick of paint and re-grouting in the bathroom. One kitchen cupboard door a bit broken.
- Sapphire (10/5): Exceptional -
- Iva (6/5): Reminded of a student flat - Location is good. All the negative feedback in other past reviews it's accurate. While there were clean sheets and linen, the rest of the apartment was left as the other guests had left it. The kitchen especially on paper sounded wonderful, in reality it was equipped worse than a student flat. The cutlery wasn't cleaned too well by previous people, and whoever cleans the flat didn't check or put them away. We had to re-clean everything before we used it as we didn't trust that previous occupants had done it properly. Mayonnaise in a bedroom drawer. There were dirty, wet, smelly rags under the sink. The washing machine door was partially blocked by the toilet, the entire area was filled with random stuff making access to the machine somewhat challenging. The bathroom wasn't cleaned properly, toilet very stained, hairs in the sink and shower, and shower didn't drain properly. We contacted the host to advise this was a pretty big issue, and while he did eventually provide drain cleaner which did help, it took a couple days which was just horrible to try and shower in. The entire flat needed vacuuming, which we did. This is actually a really nice flat, it just needs a bit of inexpensive TLC. Just a bit more focus on cleaning properly, clearing away rubbish and random things stuffed in cupboards and fixing loose doors and broken drawers and it would make a world of difference.
- Pavlo (10/5): Nice and inexpensive. - Big and specious apartment. Has all you need. Quiet area. Quality-price wise is very good. The apartment has all you need for a short stay. Very nice and caring host. Was very responsive and attentive. 100% corresponds to the qualify you are paying for. The apartment is situated on the 3rd floor (no lift). Those who has difficulties with going up the stairs, it would turn to be rather challenging . We were ok, since we are still quite young, but I would dread to see someone claiming them stairs who is poorly. There you’re either fit or dead 😃
- Jenny (7/5): We didn’t feel safe in the location but the apartment itself was nice - It was clean and comfortable The location
- Martin (7/5): Our 1 night stay - Within walking distance from Elephant & Castle tube station.
Size of Apartment was good
Good contact from the host Stephen with all the information you require. 2 of the kitchen cabinet doors were off. Kitchen sink drainer was dirty. Cuttlery left out in holder on kitchen drainer. Miss match of utensils. Kitchen just didn't feel clean.
Living room sofa too low and very soft, uncomfortable to sit on.
Carpet looked dirty.
Bathroom was okay apart from towels for 2 adults not all big enough, stained wc and a shower screen that came away from the bath that led to water going on the floor.
Felt overpriced
- Carlos (1/5): Bad - Location awful, customer service not good Everything
- Leanne (10/5): I’m rubbish with directions, so rang the owner of the property who kindly and patiently directed me over the phone to th - well situated. close to train, underground and bus routes. clean and the extra touches like washing power, coffee ect!
- Mike (6/5): Pleasant -
- Rachael (8/5): Enjoyable stay and great communication from the host. - It was very close to our destination on Coronation Day. The host was very receptive to my feedback during the stay and reacted quickly to rectify. Lovely little apartment.
- Spycatcher (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jay (1/5): Bad - The location The stairs, the cupboards hanging off, plugs hanging off wall in bedroom, cutlery draw poor, very tired and dated.
- Natalia (5/5): not recommended - it was the most central apartment available for our dates and within 100 pounds per night budget walk to London bridge is somewhat deceiving name, the property is in reality 20 minutes walk away, in area pf Elephant and castle. property is sad and tired, it needs good cleaning and refreshment, or repair. it is on 3rd floor with no lift.
- Sarah (8/5): Good place to stay; comfy, roomy and clean. - Clean, spacious and comfortable. Really nice to have more freedom to chill than in a hotel room.
Helpful information on facilities provided. Was a little irritating collecting key and then returning to key safe site; I chose apartment specifically to be close to London Bridge first thing in the morning (it was certainly more than a 3 minute walk for me).
Staff in key collection point were rude and unhelpful.
If you had luggage or ailments the third floor location might be an issue. Perhaps some more warning would be appropriate?
- Stuart (7/5): Good - collecting keys from a shop. with a very ignorant shop owner. who wouldnt help anyway or tell me way to property
- Toner (10/5): Exceptional - clean, spacious and pretty much has everything u need.
perfect location for ministry of sound and London city no issues at all
- Roberts (8/5): Very good -
- Roberts (9/5): stay by any means but check your items before leaving as they won’t be there once the cleaner has been in there - the flat is gorgeous the fact I know I left an expensive item of clothing in there but the cleaner 10000% lifted it for his own use
- Sonia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kamario (9/5): Superb -
- Marcia (6/5): Good location for MOS - Location was spot on for Ministry of Sound.
Spacious apartment. Shower was barely warm. No hot water, so couldn't wash up. 3rd floor apartment, fine for me, but no lift, so may need to know.
- Terrence (9/5): Superb -
- Delvin (6/5): fair to good value - nice large bedroom 1. kitchen was poor
2. central hallway is really run down and dirty
- Jason (3/5): cancelled. because I was unable to get in flat. - once the appalling key problem was realised the owners communication was quick, reasonable and apologetic. He did what he could. The key system does not work and needs changing key pick up is an appalling mess. terrible directions to where key is kept, a small shop tucked away and difficult to find. Then I was given the WRONG KEY by the shop owner, who barely glanced at the cabinet full of keys. Rang owner who said go back to shop, and he’ll sort it. went back again (1 hr delay now and late for work) shop owner refused to swap or try other key. owner offered refund or wait for him to come in person ( another hour) I took refund.
- Rachel (3/5): i do however commend the owners of the property who done what they could for us but it just wasnt the right stay for me - the space itself was roomy esp for value the area was scary to walk down at night time especially for two young girls
we also had issues with heating and electricity not working so had to move apartment the same day
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Godert (8/5): Very good -
- Zoran (7/5): Good -
- Elliot (2/5): Dirty Bedsheets Break It. - The location is very convenient being close to elephant & castle tube station. The area itsself is not nice but it's only a short trip to other parts of London.
The apartment is very large - more than enough room for 2 people. The bedsheets stank of sweat and mould - unacceptable.
No kitchen knives, no frying pan, no oven gloves, no other items you expect when a kitchen is advertised.
The lights in the lounge and bedroom were broken.
The TV remote was broken (though the owner offered to fix this).
- Michelle (3/5): Avoid at all costs! - Location was central and not far from tube station. Getting a message just before arriving to give us a different location to collect the keys wasn't a great start, especially as the shop we had to collect them from had no parking. On arrival at the apartment we had to climb 4 flights of filthy stairs with rat/mouse traps on each floor. The fridge still had items from previous tenants so had obviously not been cleaned. Living room floor definitely hadn't. Lights throughout the apartment flickered and to top it off the tv had no signal and the cables couldn't be connected. When pointing this out to the owner this morning he added insult to injury by offering us 20% off our next stay as way of an apology..like we would be returning, not a hope, definitely not worth the price we paid!
- Michael (1/5): An awful experience and I shall be looking for a refund or compensation - The bed was comfortable The TV had no channels and I was unable to tune it.
The code supplied for the internet didn’t work so I had no Wi-Fi.
There was no water from any of the taps or shower.
- Frances (1/5): We moved out a day earlier it was so disappointing. - It was clean lack of communication from owner.
only one towel & flannel
No hand or Shower soap
No TV remote
- Michael (8/5): A spacious and comfortable stay! - The host was flexible and communicated well. The accommodation is spacious, the shower worked well, and I had a comfortable nights' sleep here. I expected the flat to be closer to Southwark, whereas it felt more Elephant & Castle, but this would be my misunderstanding of the address.
- Laura (9/5): Superb -
