Guest Reviews
- Grant (8/5): -
- Bruce (8/5): - The location was great close to the train station supermarket and restaurants/cafes. Check in was easy. The shower. The shower rose needs to be replaced as it kept falling off its fitted and falling on the floor while showering. Also the towels smelt.
- Katharina (8/5): -
- Daniel (10/5): Very comfortable, great location and host - Awesome location, very close to a lot. Short walks to restaurants, bars, shops or stations for public transport Very nice apartment, bed is a little lumpy. Perhaps a mattress protector would work
- Grant (8/5): -
- Rudolf (9/5): Empfehlenswert - Kommunikation mit Vermieter
- Nell (9/5): - We loved this apartment in a great location in East London! It was very accessible by bus/overground and was close to a lot of cool pubs and more. The apartment was very clean and having a kitchen and laundry was very helpful! The only complaint we really had was with the shower. It is very small and the shower head does not hold itself up, so trying to hold the shower head in such a small space made showering quite difficult! If the shower head was fixed so it would stay upright this would be fine.
- Nathaniel (8/5): -
- Dana (7/5): - The apartment was clean and had everything you might need for your stay
- Isabella (8/5): Great location and had everything we needed for a short stay -
- Dorothy (8/5): Very good -
- Dibaltaz (9/5): Superb - The check in/out process was really easy. Very nice location, walking distance to various supermarkets, restaurants and Dalston Kingsland & Junction stations. Well equipped kitchen and very nice outside space. Shame the TV didn't have an extensible arm to turn it toward the bed.
- Jacqueline (8/5): Great amenities in the apartment kitchen courtyard washing machine TV couch just not the bed - The location was really good The bed was extremely uncomfortable it needs a memory foam topper simple solution I haven’t ever slept in such a lumpy uncomfortable bed before
- Anonymous (8/5): The flat met expectations, met requirements and was safe and secure for an older lady -
- Susan (9/5): Superb -
- Siobhan (7/5): V happy. Would use again and would recommend for short stays - Very clean. Well equipped. Location excellent for us Basement.
- Mark (9/5): Superb - The apartment was fairly spacious with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Clothes washing facilities (washing machine/dryer/iron) were a bonus as it meant we could travel light and wash stuff mid-stay.
The apartment is in a quiet location but at the same time close to Dalston Kingsland station and bus services. We also walked on a few occasions into central Islington which took about 25 mins.
All in all we had a pleasant stay and if available would happily stay here on our next London adventure. The back yard was a little unkempt but other than that all was good.
- Matthew (5/5): Unit was good for our needs but is very small, the bed was a bit small for the two of us. -
- Sue (6/5): Met the criteria for our stay, clean , comfortable, handy location for us - Very untidy outside, not an inviting or encouraging pull up, once inside very pleasant
- Deborah (9/5): Perfect little flat in a great area!! - Perfect for 1 or a couple! Great neighbourhood with shops, pubs, bakeries, and coffee shops nearby. Very easy walk to the bus or train, and I have mobility issues. Neighbours above and next-door a bit noisy at times, but only during normal waking hours so not horrible.
- Jakub (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment is very well equipped, with all comodities you might wish for, both for a short and longer stay. The instructions sent by the host were clear and precise. The neighbourhood offers a wide variety of places to eat and drink, a range of stores of almost every kind, as well as an easy commute to the city centre via bus or underground. Overall we had a great experience. It would have been nice to have the apartment pre-heated at least a bit, as it took quite some time to bring it to liveable temperature in the evening, with outside tempretaures being close to zero, although I understand that this is not always possible and may be really costly.
- Ελενη (8/5): Very good - Very good location.Cosy little modern apparent. On our arrival,we entered the main door but couldn't open the electronic lock of the appartemet.Sadely for over half an hour we couldn't reach the owner. We texed via booking, sened e mail and phoned. It was very frustrating.Later she responded and gave us directions to get power to the lock. However the next day she came and replaced the batteries.Apart from that everything was alright.
- Amanda (8/5): Very good. - It is very near where our son lives. Clean, comfortable and very easy to get into. No bedside table but we moved the chairs.
- Aleksandr (9/5): Very comfortable and cosy - It was very easy to get access and make myself comfortable thanks to very thorough instructions from the host. The bed is comfy, the facilities are plenty and the cupboard was filled with snacks, drinks and other niceties. The floor was pretty cold, so it would help to have a pair of slippers.
- Clare (7/5): Beautiful flat and well managed. - The flat was lovely. It was clean with everything you could need provided. The instructions to access the flat were really good. The owners/managers were great at communicating and very helpful. Wonderful to have a walled garden . The main problem is the sound proofing regarding the flat above. The first night I hardly slept as it was so noisy - think there may have been renovating …. However I reported this to Frances and it was sorted immediately so the next 2 nights were good. I really appreciated that! Thank you.
The last night i was woken at 5 ish with walking across the floor above and toilet flushing. Obviously they were doing nothing wrong but sound proofing definitely needed .
The tv needs to be on a bracket you can pull away from the wall and angle it towards the bed. That’s where I wanted to watch it - from the bed so I hardly used the tv as it faced the completely wrong way.
But having said the above, the flat was clean and well managed .
- Angela (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely apartment, no particularly close tube stations but train and buses close by and a good selection of shops within a few minutes walk. The apartment was clean, comfortable and well equipped, and had a great shower, couldn't fault it and would definitely stay again
- Steve (8/5): Would use again - Great accommodation very clean and ideal for my travels. The shower rail needed sorting the shower head
Would not stay up.
- Graham (8/5): Very good - Really well appointed, detailed instructions
- Dawn (10/5): Loved staying here - Super clean, and the host was very helpful
- Ben (9/5): Very pleasant and clean place. Good facilities. Excellent location - Very clean. Nice courtyard garden. Great location. Excellent transport links and many convenient food shops nearby Needed a couple of comfy chairs. Would have been nice to be able to adjust the angle of the TV so you could watch TV in bed.
Shower drained very slowly.
- Gwen (8/5): Very good -
- Patricia (8/5): Needs a little more care/thought to make guests feel at home - The communication as to the location of the keys was great. The property was clean. The towels were old & small. There was no TV reception & the shower head leaked. There were no instruction books/pamphlets even though we were told they were in the property. It would have been nice to have washing powder or liquid supplied especially as the property had a washing machine. It just seemed mean.
- Amanda (8/5): Very clean tidy and well presented apartment - Very clean and well equipped. Easy access with great instructions . We normally stay in Chelsea which I prefer so a different vibe
We felt the area wasn’t quite us . A bit too edgy for us . Great for young people .
- Ann (9/5): Superb -
- Karen (8/5): Suited our requirements for a few nights. - It was great having laundry facilities and a kitchenette. Unit was central to city transport. Quiet street. The shower could use an upgrade.
- Antonia (8/5): Very good -
- Daisy (9/5): Superb -
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gillian (10/5): Exceptional - Great location excellent facilities and instructions.
- Charlotte (9/5): Great base for an Islington wedding weekend. - Great little apartment, super secure and with a parking option (with fee) had everything we possibly needed there. Bed was super comfortable. Some of the spotlights were flickery, perhaps some lamps would be better for evening dim light.
- Julie (8/5): Facilities, cleanliness and location spot on - Location

Facilities Na
- Annalisa (7/5): Good -
- Lynn (10/5): Exceptional - Very comfortable. All the conveniences of home. Easy walk to train and bus stops, pubs and restaurants. Great location for exploring London by public transport.
- Thomas (8/5): Very good - The floor above was very noisy sounded like they were moving furniture at 0200 - 0300 in the morning. Then woke us up again at 0500.
- Constance (10/5): Good place to stay to discover London - Thank you very much !
The flat is well-located (near Dalston Junction), in a lovely and quiet neighbourhood. It was clean and comfy, with all the equipments you’ll need to have a good stay in London. WiFi is working well.
Also, all the information to check-in/check-out are clear, it was easy to get in.
- Hamish (10/5): Easy, affordable, and convenient! - Easy to access / find, super clean and fantastic facilities! I could not recommend more highly.
- Robyn (10/5): A lovely, spacious room with everything you could need for a stay away - Very spacious, all the amenities were there with a nice kitchen, tv, table and chairs, very comfortable, easy to collect keys and to check out as well. Having a smart tv was really nice and not far from a station so a good location too. It was extremely cold and took a long time for the radiator to warm up the room. My room also had a small back garden that was lovely but the gate/door from the street didn’t close so it felt a little unsafe in that regard.
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tan (9/5): For those who wants to explore less touristy spots. - First of all, let me say we are a couple who travel alot and we been to London a few times so we are confident of the areas we are visiting and thats why we choose this appartment. The location is not so convenient as the nearest train station is under maintenance and we had to use a replacement bus. But London has one of the best bus system and in the end with the help of Google Map we took buses everywhere! It is cheaper like 1.75 GBP and less crowded, best of all it is really nice to just chill on the bus and we discovered soooo many interesting places which we would have not if we took the metro. We discovered very nice pubs and also Angel has many interesting eateries.Bus 38 goes to soo many places!
As for the apartment, it is one of the best we stayed in. Clean, very well equipped. Easy check in and out. We appreciate the washing machine and that there is some laundry powder. Everything is supplied and we had a very very comfortable stay. Nothing!
- Anonymous (3/5): Location ok but sleeping there is extremely uncomfortable - The bed is extremely uncomfortable, it creaks when you move
The mattress is awful
The bedding felt unclean and worn
The duvet small , thin and no to sheet
All bedding was substantially poor
No toiletries supplied whatsoever in the bathroom
- Teresa (8/5): Very good -
- Roberto (9/5): Superb -
- David (8/5): Generally happy with the apartment, thanks. - Disturbed at night by people upstairs, not much sound insulation between the floors
- Ezwardo (9/5): Very good property, comfortable, clean and as described. - Location for me was perfect as it was 5 minutes walk from the overground and 5 minutes from Earth the gig venue.
Everything in the studio flat was as described or better. Communication was good for the arrival/departure although I never met anyone. The kitchen was very well provisioned.
A very enjoyable stay. The towel rail had been damaged prior to my arrival and needs to be fixed.
The heater was hit and miss, needed to be turned off and on again in order to make it work and on one occasion sparked when turning on.
- Liselotte (10/5): Exceptional -
- Liselotte (10/5): Quiet, clean and homely - It’s a cosy, homely little flat with all the amenities. Location is handy for Islington
- Konstantinos (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent stay. Outside of the touristic center but with really good accesibility to public transport that can take you wherever you want. Really nice coffeshops restaurants and pubs in the neighborhood. Super price! Highly recommended..
- Martine (8/5): Great location in terms of staying near Newington Green. - Great location and perfectly appointed apartment.
- Natsu (10/5): Exceptional -
- Libby (9/5): Superb -
- Ross (9/5): Superb - The location was ideal for where we wanted to be. Close to train station. Best of all it’s a quiet area
- Rolf (9/5): Apt. in quiet location yet close to buzzing Dalston - good location in quiet neigbourhood yet close to railway/tube station(s) a few streets over in buzzing Dalston no downsides, we have enjoyed it very much here
- Iain (8/5): Very good -
- Brent (9/5): Overall very happy. We were a day late due to flight issues and we paid in advance so due to cancellation rules we didn’ - The clear check in process made it very easy to get in. The unit was very charming and comfortable The location was a bit run down but we weren’t used to London so not sure if this is normal there
- Valentina (10/5): Exceptional - Me and my mum really appreciated the apartment. Tidy and clean. Instructions for the check-in were impeccable.
- Denis (8/5): Nice garden studio appartement in residential neighborhood - Easy unattended but well explained check-in.
Private garden studio appartement in building located in a residential area at walking distance from busy street, supermarkets and an Overground station allowing easy access to metro lines.
Kitchenware relatively correct.
Spacious and clean bathroom.
Outdoor private walled terrasse with table and chairs that we were lucky enough to enjoy due to the good unusual London hot weather.
Landlords are keen to help when needed. Wardrobes located behind bed tables which need to be moved back and forth.
Environment a bit noisy at night on the week end due to outdoor music on attending streets.
Hearing upstairs neighbors.
- Ross (9/5): Superb - Great location for where we needed to be.
Very close to London overground train station, then two stops later you’re on the underground.
Great restaurants etc on the High Street and a visit to the market is a must.
- Ross (9/5): Superb - Good location for what we wanted. Good train service nearby. Good kitchen facilities and comfortable bed.
- Claire (8/5): Clean and well located - Very clean and good location. Perfect for our purposes - three days in London to see friends.
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- Dimova (8/5): Very good -
- Linda (8/5): Lovely, clean convenient location. -
- Sabine (10/5): Great accommodation and location - The location was great, quiet but lively very quickly, lots of cafés, restaurants, a subway station less than 5 minutes walking.
The apartment was clean, practical and of perfect size. We couldn't have found a better option.
- Hanif (8/5): Very good - Location was perfect near the Dalston Kingsland Overground Station. There were plenty of shops. The area was quiet. No Dislikes
- Fozia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (8/5): Really enjoyed it and a great host - Lovely place to stay A great vibrant area, but for business a bit out on a limb.
- Nigel (9/5): Comfortable and clean studio - Very comfortable studio, spotlessly clean, good size bathroom and kitchen, short walk to the overground and underground, nice location in Islington with a variety of places to eat at reasonable prices, we wanted to see West end shows which took us around half hour by train. Nothing
- Rachael (10/5): Exactly what we were looking for and with car parking - N/A Seriously cannot think of anything
- Roger (9/5): Superb - Stayed here previously, and it's a great apartment. really clean, comfortable, and a perfect size for 2. It is also a really great base for everything in both North and central London.. The owner is brilliant, really quick to get back with any queries. We'll be booking again next year!
- L (7/5): Good - Nice and cheap with plenty of space inside
Good cooking facilities and well equipped
Close to travel links and shops Location was a bit dodgy at night
- Leah (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely little room close to public transport options, friendly host with clear instructions.
- James (9/5): Superb -
- Jane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Houda (9/5): Quiet, comfortable, pleasant. - The little garden, the furniture, the equipment, and the free access to TV channels were very pleasant. I can hardly sleep when there is even a little noise, so i was glad to see that the room was really quiet. Frances is very hellpful and gave me clear instructions. I am very clumsy, so I almost fell on the stairs right after the main door. I think there should be a warning somewhere. For me non UK citizen, I didn't know much about the shower system that completely closes the water, and I didn't take my glasses in the bathroom, where instructions were written. Fortunately, Frances helped me with this as well.
- Aoife (10/5): Lovely time - Location excellent shops nearby and plenty of cafes Cleanliness and wee part out the back for your morning coffee. Great shower and two towels which were fluffy and nice. Very easy to get in and secure.
We were at a concert in the Garage and found this apartment fantastic
- Joanna (8/5): An excellent find that I would return to if not for the dreadful customer service from Booking.Com - The outdoor space makes this a welcome little oasis in the busy city. There is a low door that a tall person needs to be aware of as my 6'1" father hit his head twice on the frame.
- Julie (9/5): Central location and comfy place. - Great location for our purposes. Well appointed with great appliances.
Outdoor patio was a bonus.
- Jamie (9/5): Superb - Great little flat with its own outdoor space in a lovely area. perfect for the wedding we attended in Mildmay.
- Mirjan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elaine (9/5): What a lovely appartment! - Its was clean and bright with very good facilties, and although we visited in winter and didn't use garden space it made the flat feel more spaceous and light.
Host was was lovey and responded quickly to any questions.
There are lots of cafes, restaurants and food shops in walking distance and easy transport by bus or train into central london.
We loved it and will book again.
- Anita (10/5): Great place - Great accommodation with garden, only a few minutes walk from the station, good location. You can find all sorts of shops, restaurants and the market on the High Street. The accommodation was clean and tidy.We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again.Highly recommended.
- Julie (8/5): meet my expectations - layout and well equipped nothing except perhaps windows locks should have keys? But minor.
- Lidia (8/5): Very good -
- Ian (8/5): Very good -
- Tamsyn (4/5): Disappointing - Convienant location, easy access to the street. No bin bags were provided and we were only given one roll of toilet paper for a 3 night stay. Other amenities like coffee, milk and soap were not given.
- Andrej (8/5): Great apartment for a convenient stay in this hip neigbourhood! - As I was visiting a family nearby, I was very glad about the location in this part of the city, which has much less accomodation to offer than the more central parts. The apartment was very clean, the kitchen spacious, the bathroom modern and tidy, and in summer it is even possible to sit in a quiet, private outdoor space - all this at a reasonable price. There are also enough options for breakfast/lunch/dinner and shopping in the neighborhood. Setting the bar quite high, one might mention one downside: the next overground/underground as well as bus stations are a couple of minutes walk away.
- Giusi (7/5): nice little apartment - very good little apartamen , just right size for a single person. Everything clean. wouldn't walk alone in the area in late afternoon and night. Some dodgy people around.
- Hanna (8/5): Very good - nice apartment, very good location - quick walk to different bus stations and metro station. There was some dust under the desk - wasn’t vacuumed in some time. Otherwise quite alright.
- Ella (10/5): Exceptional - Super easy check in process with great communication to the host. All facilities and amenities catered for with public transport nearby to central London.
