Guest Reviews
- Marsha (10/5): Super convenient - Super convenient to the tube station. Water kettle and microwave were very helpful. Couldnt make the stovetop work, but didn't really need it. Bed was real comfortable and there was plenty of room to spread out. Good restaurants near by. The water pressure was heavenly. The shower was a little wonky to get in and out of, but that was a tiny inconvenience.
- Suchanat (9/5): -
- Nicole (10/5): Would stay here next time in a second. Great location. Next to the tube. Picture is of how much it costs to go to train - The place was big, had a kitchen. Easy to talk with host. Nothing
- Janice (9/5): -
- Ferri (10/5): -
- Jo (5/5): Small and disappointing - The location was good. Close to the underground. The bathroom was the smallest I’ve ever seen. Quite moldy in the bathroom. The washing machine was in the basement and not the apartment like we thought.

- Sonia (10/5): - La ubicación
- Nicholas (10/5): Ideal location, great value, great host -
- Michelle (8/5): A great place to stay - small and compact and in a great location to the museums and train. - Location was great and close to the train and high street. Room was small but had everything you needed. Use of laundry facilities just outside room was handy. Shower got blocked and we couldn't get this fixed while we were there so had to have very quick showers before it overflowed each time. However this was a one off issue and Bella apologised for our inconvenience.
- patricia (7/5): Very handy to transport and historic sites - Kitchen area cramped but doable. Access to washing machine appreciated.
Any queries/ problems manager quick to respond
- Analia (8/5): Muy bueno!

- JOSELINE (10/5): My stay was excellent — the location was perfect, the accommodation well-equipped, and the host incredibly attentive. - The location is exceptional — a quiet street just half a block from a major avenue with supermarkets, a bakery, and a laundromat. It’s only three blocks from a subway station, with nearby restaurants, other supermarkets, and fast food chains. Bella is an excellent host — she responds quickly to all questions and is very attentive to guests. The accommodation has everything you need to prepare meals, with high-quality kitchen utensils. There is a washing machine available, an iron, and a wardrobe with hangers. There are plenty of power outlets, so you can charge several devices at the same time. As a suggestion, it might be helpful to provide a sandwich press or grill, a water filter in the accommodation and stronger fans to better cope with heat waves.

- Abe (7/5): The location was central, close to the underground. The price was OK. - The bathroom wasn't very clean. The ceiling was peeling, there was dirt in the shower, and around the toilet. There was a suitcase openly visible (not ours). The cleaning equipment was also not hidden and tucked away.
The host said she sent pictures of WIFI and contact information, but I didn't receive them. Her response time wasn't great either.
- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional - Loved the location. Close to transport and the village vibe. Room was small but had everything we needed. Bella was great to deal with and gave us great local info 😀
- Peter (7/5): A good base for a London holiday - It was in a good location and close to public transport and a hop on hop off bus stop. The bathroom and kitchenette were tired could do with a makeover.
- Phyllis (8/5): Very good - Handy Location close to transport, supermarkets & cafes.
Quiet & secure. Very hot when we visited so fan was appreciated.
Room is small but well equipped.
Host very helpful & responds very quickly. Couch we found uncomfortable.
- Denise (8/5): Quiet, well furnished apartment in excellent location. - Although the room was small, it had everything that was needed. The bed was comfortable, and the water in the shower was hot with good pressure. It was a quiet street and we slept well. The location was excellent. Within close walking distance there were three major museums, the Gloucester tube station, Waitrose, Tescos, and the Stanhope Arms pub in addition to many other eateries. Check in was easy. I'd be very happy to stay here again. There was not much surface area on which to put things.
- Heather (8/5): Pleasant ground floor flat close to museums - It was very well located, near museums, underground, supermarkets and pubs. It was clean and on the ground floor, so we didn’t have to struggle up stairs with luggage It was quite small and the television was very temperamental to work, and the sound faded in and out
- Stephen (9/5): Great location and facilities - Apartment on ground floor, view from window, facilities very good. Location great being close to western London attractions and Underground
- Wilfred (7/5): Great neighborhood - Great neighborhood, fairly close to tube station. Contact Martin was very helpful and accommodating. Good water pressure, hot water readily available. Comfortable bed. Clean room. Lots of tv channels. Studio apartment. 2 metal folding chairs. Shower is a very tight fit, looks like a cryopod. No central heating. It was cold so we plugged in the portable heater. It worked fairly well to heat the area around the bed. Not what we’re accustomed to.
- Bernard (10/5): Exceptional - Location was great
- Maureen (8/5): Easy to get to by train or taxi. - Location The Blind cords too short but it’s being changed. The Bathroom sink plug doesn’t work. The kitchen cupboard left over from other people needs a clean out. Also being sorted.
- Maureen (8/5): Great apart from the two items mentioned - Location and comfortable bed The blinds I couldn’t reach the cord without standing on the chair. Also the situation with the power leads being on the floor
- Vittoriya (6/5): Does not correspond to the photos; a dissappointment - The location is very good – close to the underground and a couple of supermarkets, the neighbourhood itself is lovely. The apartment was quiet and warm. There were some cooking basics in the kitchen like sugar, salt, oil, etc, which we always appreciate (although I sincerely don’t understand why an open package of chips and a bottle of milk gone sour were also kept…) I hate writing bad reviews, but have to do it in the hope that it will help potential guests to make their choice. Had I known all the details I would have not chosen the place.
First of all, it does not at all correspond to the photos. Apparently, the “hosts” have several apartments, one of them is a nicer one which is one of the higher floors and it is the photos of that apartment that you see on the page. Indeed, you can find the photos of the ground floor apartment, but they are at the very end, after the photos of London sights (whoever needs photos of the sights when booking an apartment, I wonder). And even those do not totally correspond to the actual thing.
As you enter the apartment, you immediately have an unpleasant feeling , so neglected and unloved it looks. It is dark as it faces the inner court which would be fine if there were enough artificial light, but there was not. The cleanliness was way below our standards with flaking paint and mold in the bathroom. It would seem that the hosts do not care about the comfort of their guests – no proper bed-side tables, not enough electric sockets (none at all in the bathroom), no socket adaptors for European appliances, etc. etc. Even the toilet paper was of the lowest quality possible. Our overall impression was of spending the nights in a broom closet (there were actually brooms stored right in front of the bed, see the photo)
- Brian (9/5): Wonderful find - This was a great find. The location is on a quiet side street, but just over two blocks from a Tube station, with two major supermarkets just as close. The flat is comfortable, with all the basic necessities. There is only one key to manage. It was a fluke, but I wish communication with the host had been a little better. Wifi seemed slow, never getting above 7 Mbps.
- Irene (7/5): Good location. Good shower. Comfortable bed - The studio apartment was a good size. It was warm and in front of the building so we had a street view. Excellent location in a quiet street not too far from Gloucester Road Station which in on the Piccadilly Line for Heathrow. Also Circle and District Line which iis great for London attractions The layout of the studio. The bathroom is very small as is the kitchen. The end wall cabinet in the kitchen needs to be a microwave cabinet. The cleaners products removed from under the kitchen sink and put in the cupboard in the corner beside the wardrobe.
- Ian (8/5): Good value when taking into account the location. - Great location and communication with the host. Shower was a little small and needs work, although I understand these issues were caused by a previous guest and will be fixed very soon.
- Patricia (6/5): Disappointing - The location was really good! The listing for this property is misleading, especially when the pic sent on confirmation is not the room I got.
I booked this and the next day they tell me they have to cancel my booking due to scheduled maintenance.
Why then is it listed available I asked? They changed the maintenance date.
10 days before I was to arrive I get a message asking when I am showing up that day. Advised them so.
On the day I arrived, I expected the yellow room as that was the pic in the confirmation. I was told by the owner "It's my responsibility to ask for pics of the room".
In over 15 years never had this issue.
The room was a small studio. There's lots of mold in the bathroom, shower door is falling off, they store cleaning equipment in the corner and someone's suitcase is on the closet. Be careful when stepping out the front door when wet, my daughter fell down the stairs.
- John (9/5): Comfortable stay in an excellent location - Location, quite, all the amenities you need Just a minor point. The room can be dark but being on the street one need to draw the blinds at night, however it is difficult or almost impossible to raise them in the morning as the cords are out of reach for most people. So was left with the blinds down. As mentioned this is a minor point that can be easily rectified by the owners
- Leon (9/5): A couple of things were less than we expected BUT had just about everything we needed and would recommend this apartment - Comfortable bed. Excellent location near transport. Host was helpful and great communication in a number of ways which was nice. Smaller and older than expected.
- Belinda (8/5): Very good -
- Patricia (7/5): A good place to stay for touring London and also near drop off for day tours outside London - Location especially near tube and supermarket, quiet, privacy, kitchen facility ,decent size room. Blinds and things in cupboards too high and unreachable, couldn’t open window, too hot even with fan, had to use one outlet for three appliances separately, stepping down out of the shower was insecure, too much light coming through at night.
- Cyndie (10/5): We were very comfortable and referred to it as home at the end of our day. Large enough for us. - Loved the location. It was quiet and close to metro. A quick walk up the street to pubs and shops. Provided with some amenities and shower supplies. Coffee! Thank you No hairdryer that I could find.
- Jeffrey (8/5): Very good -
- Brent (8/5): Very good - Very nice area with bars and restaurants
- Ashley (7/5): We should have paid less for this apartment while the building is being renovated. The work being done is on a higher le - The location is excellent and close the trains and restaurants and tourist attractions. The outside of the building was covered in scaffolding and was being worked on right outside the windows. We basically could have any curtains open during the day. We should have been informed that this work was taking place.
Attention to detail was poor. Did not have a bath mat or tea towel on arrival. Washing machine is not located inside the apartment.
- Claire (7/5): Good -
- Dianne (7/5): Likes the location but the room needs some love. - Loved the location and the bed was comfortable. Shabbier than picture online. Paint peeling, very tired looking, coffee cups small and chipped, kitchen utilities very basic and worn generally. Bathroom was tiny and lots of mould. Didn’t like how we looked onto the street from our bed. Wouldn’t book again.
- Kimberly (3/5): Poor - Only the location It was not clean, hard to find, the room was very different from the photos. Cleaning objects everywhere and only one roll of toilet paper. The entrance way had a bad smell, very disappointing for the price we paid and the distance we travelled. We had no extra pillows blankets or towels!
- Di (9/5): Apartment close to tourist sights like Kensington Palace and Gardens, Albert Hall and V&A Museum - Great location. The apartment is close to Gloucester Road tube station, Thai, Lebanese, and Italian restaurants and two grocery stores, Sainsburys and Waitrose, all on Cromwell Road around the corner. Kensington Gardens are only 20 minutes walk away through South Kensington. The studio apartment is small but comfortable and equipped with what we needed. High-speed internet good. The apartment was quiet so we slept well. The apartment keys were in a big padlock key box attached to the side railing grill of apartment entrance at the top of the stairs. Didn't see the padlock straight away as we were expecting a wall keybox but other occupants in the building who arrived atvthe same time as us pointed out the location. Only minor issues - no dish drying rack in kitchen. There was only one roll toilet paper in bathroom when we arrived and we were staying 4 nights and it is not a serviced apartment, but more rolls were delivered the next day after I messaged the owner through booking.com.
- Bethanne (6/5): The location was great -not far from public transportation and Paul (french breakfast) - This was more like a studio apartment but small fridge. I liked the location and it was very quiet. We had jet lag so was glad the bed was comfortable. They had a small washing machine downstairs but no dryer. Had a reading light on only one side of bed and the bed was pushed against the wall. We needed to move it away and put a small table and could have used another reading light. There were two apartments managed but the one we got was not pictured. the other apartment via the photo looked more elegant so somewhat disappointed. We arrived early in morning from USA but had to store luggage at a facility as check in was not until 3:00.
- Allan (8/5): Excellent location - Right in the central London area with a quiet neighborhood. Just a few minutes walking to the tube and supermarket. The bathroom is too tiny. The glass door opening for getting in and out of the shower area is only about 1.5 ft wide, just enough for a tiny person to get through.
- Sarah (6/5): Ground floor room in ideal location - Terrific location on a quiet side street, close to public transportation and plenty of shops. Comfortable bed and good shower fixture. It was a ground floor room next to the front door and the noise of people coming and going at all hours was disruptive. It would also be ideal to have sheer window coverings to allow light while maintaining privacy as you can see straight into the room from the street.
- Eavan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Geoffery (7/5): Was a great base for exploring London , very cosy to come back to - Great Location
Roomy with Good Furnishings
Owner very responsive Bathroom needs some TLC
No Storage in Bathroom (Vanity Cabinet)
Noise from other Occupants entering the building late at night
- Manuela (9/5): Great! - The location, the style and the furnishing of the flat The bathroom is small
- Dominic (6/5): Great location - Location was fantastic, right between two train stations and close to multiple shops, pubs and restaurants. Mould on the bathroom ceiling and the black substance leaking out the walls. Didn't cook as there was no exhaust fan and did want to set off the fire alarm or fill room with cooking odours.
- Kirill (9/5): Superb -
- Sue (5/5): Passable - Location was good Said there was a washing machine, didn’t say it was in the basement and no dryer. Room was seemed smaller than advertised
- L. (9/5): Superb -
- Joanne (7/5): Good -
- Shirlee (8/5): Very good -
- Liz (5/5): Great location - tiny bathroom! - Location. Location. Location. The bathroom was tiny and the shower is so small we had to take turns handing things to each other as you could not bend over. The taps are in such a terrible spot that you can't avoid turning the shower off or changing the temperature. There were no towel rails in the bathroom. There were toiletries advertised as provided but all there was really were half-used bottles of cheap shampoo. There were notes on leaving the place clean, but it wasn't that clean when we arrived. The WIFI code was only available from reading the tiny label on the bottom of the modem!
- Kesete (8/5): Overall it was great - It’s clean and quiet Even though it has a big window, air conditioning would have been nice
- Richard (7/5): Happy with location and basic sleep. - Loved the location and hot shower Zero decor, only instant coffee.
- Steve (3/5): Poor -
- K (9/5): Location! Location! Location! - Location was fantastic. The surrounding area is lovely. An 8 minute walk to the underground which puts you within minutes of the main attractions of London. Apartment is well equipped and comfortable.
- Graham (8/5): Very good -
- Barber (8/5): Very good -
- Inez (10/5): Perfect location, has everything you need in a ground floor apartment - Very central to tourist attractions and tube station , supermarkets I couldn’t fault the place
- Shane (8/5): It was very good - Good location
- Alan (8/5): Cosy, comfy, quiet apartment in a good location - Location was close to District and circle line and it was very quiet. Bed was comfortable, and the apartment had all you need for a short stay. Would recommend. Not really a dislike, more of an observation. The Tv was at a bit of an odd angle to watch from the sofa for any length of time, but fine if you watch in bed.
- Gareth (10/5): Excellent find - Excellent location for exploring London.. very close to public transport Nothing to dislike
- Rebecca (5/5): Great location but not as clean as would like. - location fantastic wasn’t very clean, bed very uncomfortable
- Jade (10/5): Quaint and Quiet - such a quaint little room in London! prices are high here and the room is small even the shower too but that’s what you expect everywhere so don’t be alarmed. neighbours were quiet, the bed was nice and we thankfully had a fan since we came in the summer time! not far from train stations too which was handy considering taxis here takes a long time - London traffic is not fast at all. this room was very affordable, tv worked and the studio was quiet easy to keep tidy. this is our honeymoon and the room didn’t look like the photo per say, but that’s no issue that’s our fault for assuming it would look exactly like that so no issue we are happy with what we got for the price we paid
- Angelo (10/5): Exceptional - It has got everything what you can need and Bella was really helpful the whole time. Immediately next to the flat there are a couple of supermarkets and several restaurants. Easy to reach from London Heathrow with Piccadilly line until Gloucester Road.
At this same station you can take the Tour bus.
It was everything perfect.
- Stephen (10/5): Excellent - Really good spacious place to stay. Close to amenities and the tube and all the attractions. Some good eating places nearby as well, with a particular mention of Thai Taste that reminded me of when I lived over there! Very happy, will be back next time we're in London, thanks!
- Annette (10/5): had a wonderful time - great location and close to train station, restaurants and supermarket
- Mheyah (3/5): Good location but barebones and lacks maintenance. Was given a different room than booking. - The location was good and responsive host at the time and not too expensive. She did however offer a monetary compensation for the lack of heat, tv not working, lack of servicing during stay, change of space advertised etc and then reneged on the offer. There was mould on the ceiling, damp bathroom, no way to dry towels or have replacements, heater wasn’t working and tv not working either. Needs more maintenance if rented out.
- Kevin (7/5): Good -
- Susanne (5/5): Bella is a lovely host but the cle - Location was good Shower was tiny and there was mould in grout and on bathroom ceiling
- Arlene (7/5): Good -
- Pablo (7/5): Good - The place of the accommodation
- Greete (8/5): I really enjoyed my stay at the Courtfield Plaza. - I really liked the location, the concept of the accomodation and the staff was really friendly. Even though there was a bit cold, the extra radiator eliminated that problem fully. The floors were a little bit dirty, there was no hairdryer and no kichen towel.
- Katelu (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andreea (7/5): Good -
- Andreea (7/5): Good -
- Michela (8/5): very nice stay - location and space nice owner very quick in reply
- Hahn (5/5): Not a good place to stay for more than 1 night. - The location of the property is good. It is less than 10 minutes of walking to the nearest tube station Gloucester Road. A near by supermarket is about 5 minutes walking. The instruction of how to access to the property is very clear. The apartment is very cheaply equipped. The mattress of the double bed is wear out. It is placed next to the wall. The person sleeps next to the wall feels like sleeping on a slope. There are only 2 very flat pillows. We had to use sofa pillows as extra. There is no power outlet in bathroom. The shower at the corner is very tight. It is really uncomfortable staying place like this for 5 nights.
- Geff (9/5): The view out to the church - made every morning - Its my old neighborhood, so it was quite sentimental * but it IS a great location.
E'thing is close, love the ceiling + the space.
Quiet fridge too. Thanks again It was bang on
- Patrice (9/5): Superb - Nice set up. Stove top and frig with cooking utensils. Good location. Would be nice if there was a shelf in the shower.
- Abrams (8/5): Felt more like a friend’s flat than a hotel! - great location. quiet and comfortable space. it was hot and I wished for better airflow. maybe a fan would help.
- Jeanica (7/5): Good -
