Guest Reviews
- Steffi (9/5): - Friendly host, excellent location
- Atty (8/5): Een mooi verblijf! - Bijna alles! Het bed was te smal.
- Annaclara (8/5): - La cordialità e disponibilità della signora Bagno piccolino, ma pulito e nuovo.
Materasso scomodo
- Gardar Agnars Hall (4/5): Great location, room (not studio) was really small. Bed is horrible. - Location was great. The host was clear on the instructions for getting the keys. The house was lovely, but calling it a studio apartment is a real stretch. It´s only 6 sqm. We accept that it was our mistake not to check this profile properly. But it had many great reviews, but now I´m not sure if this is accurate. This is basically a storage room under a staircase. But I must admire how much can be crammed in a small space. The bed was just horrible and was only 120cm. We didn't sleep well on this mattress. We felt the springs in the mattress. However, when we informed the host that we were leaving, we got no response. Bathroom really small. I couldn´t fit in properly in the shower and could not sit straight in the toilet.
- Michael (10/5): Natasha’s communication is first class, very friendly and helpful! I will be staying again on my next visit to London. - It felt safe and comfortable in a very nice house, the area I am already familiar with which is also a great area. Much smaller than anticipated but perfect for what I needed. Bathroom very small (but I am tall so using the small bath was a challenge) Great place though!
- Susan (10/5): Small but comfortable and very clean — with the bonus of a bright and welcoming host(ess) onsite. - Natasha is a lovely host and responds immediately to concerns and questions Thie apartment is pocket-sized and doesn’t pretend to be anything else, but it had everything I needed— as well as being clean and well organized. There’s a teakettle and a refrigerator — enough to make breakfast — and for the other meals, hey: go out! You’re in London!
For the price, this little apartment on a quiet, tree lined street with lots of nice cafes and easy access to transportation, in my favorite area of London, I consider it to be a real find.
- Giulia (4/5): Lillipuziano - Lo staff.
- Mantas (10/5): -
- Luca (7/5): clean and cosy, very cosy - It’s clean and quiet. The manager is friendly. Comfortable bed and pillows. It is perfect for a one legged hobbit :)
The toilet bowl touches the bathtub, and you can only shower sitting down. The room is a bit claustrophobic for a single tall person.
- Aleksander (10/5): -

- Charlene (10/5): Peaceful bijoux room close to Chalk Farm and Swiss Cottage Station - Natasha was an outstanding host – truly deserving of 5 stars! She was warm, friendly, and incredibly accommodating throughout my stay. The room was spotless, bright, and airy, located in a quiet building on a peaceful residential road. The Japanese bath was a wonderful touch – perfect for relaxing after a long day – and the room was comfortable enough to work from as well.
The location is excellent, just a short walk from Chalk Farm and Swiss Cottage stations, and close to plenty of restaurants and shops for any supplies you might need. I’ll definitely be coming back – highly recommended!
- Oihane (9/5): Tiny comfortable well located studio - Clean, well equipped and perfectly located We liked everything. If anything was to be disliked would have been the size. It feels quite small specially the bath. But it was already noted in the description that it wasn’t for tall people
- Nina (6/5): -
- Terry (5/5): Inexpensive for London but be aware! - Good communication with Natasha, free parking in London, foxes in the garden! Room too small and very difficult to move around, especially bed (and we are fit and able). Bathroom uncomfortably small and difficult. Just too cramped
- Nicola (9/5): Lovely room, small but cosy, everything we needed, great location we would definitely stay again. - Great location, 8 minutes walk from 3 different underground stations, few pubs and shops in the vicinity also. No iron left in the room, i didn’t want to contact the lady as i felt like i was bugging her, she got me one when asked no problem, just feel like it would be of been better if one was left in the cupboard, even if it was just a travel iron, other than that it was great.
- Christopher (10/5): - Natasha says it all!
- Christopher (10/5): Location, location, location. - An authentic Primrose Hill experience. Natasha is the warmest host I ever grace met and so I’ve stayed with her three times. Primrose Hill is an elite neighborhood where famous Brit’s and American alike perch to live cozy, normal lives in plain sight. It’s an ideal spot for a single person - whereas its sister neighborhood Hempstead is best for families. Natasha is a neighborhood veteran.
- Amy (8/5): - Great location, friendly host and good value. Small apartment under the stairs, which was a little tight with our two suitcases. We managed fine, but if you are tall or larger frame, this may not be the place for you. Bathroom was a challenge, wouldn’t recommend for larger person or someone with a poor mobility.
- Jennifer (10/5): Great stay in a great neighbourhood - Great location in a quite part of London
- Ieva (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alison (8/5): London Marathon Break - The location was excellent. Really nice area with good cafes and amenities. Easy to get into the centre of London and only a walk away from Camden Market. Natasha was also very helpful and friendly. The room was extremely small. Much smaller than anticipated. However it was very clean and was fine for the 2 nights we stayed there.
- Emma (9/5): Superb - Perfect location, walk into Camden and close to tube stations and bus stops Very small room, however had everything needed for a 2 night stay
- Antonio (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anna (10/5): Tiny Apartment in Primrose Hill London - Excellent location. Very clean, sweet tiny apartment in a beautiful house. Very comfortable bed. Please note : bath / shower facilities are not great for a bigger person.
No kitchen. Kettle only.
- Lesley (7/5): Three night stay visiting family locally - Good location, catering facilities adequate, comfy bed. The bath was challenging to get into (I had a bad knee so that didn't help)
- Yael (2/5): Very poor - The location was what I needed. DO NOT REMY THIS PLACE!!!
Where do I begin?
1. The apartment is NOT in the center of Primrose Hill. It is in Swiss Cottage about a 7 minute walk to Primrose high street.
2. The bed is just a spring mattress with a think layer of memory foam. Every time I turned I heard the squeaking of the springs and you always feel the coils (laying down or sitting).
3. There is absolutely NO room to move in the flat. There is a tiny table for coffee and there are only a few inches between that and the bed. It is not suitable for a couple!!
4. There is not shower or tub - it is a sit tub. I am 164.cm and my knees hit the other side of the tub when I sat down. You will also need to sit to shower because the apartment was built under that staircase and there is absolutely no way to stand up.
5. The toilet is right up against the tub which leaves about 6 inches of space to step out without cracking your head. Imagine you are on a submarine.
6. The price is insane for what you get. The only feature in the room is a bed and even that was awful. A nightmare.
7. I messaged the owner (who lives across the hall. She said the mattress was new and no one complained so far. But that is not true. A person complained at the end of December.
The owner took space under a staircase and invested as little as possible so she could say there was a bed, a TV, a bath and a shower. But the quality of all of it is so terrible. For 140 GBP you can get places with a good bed and living room.
- Ste (4/5): Uncomfortable - Host is super friendly, property is in a really good location, Studio was clean. Coffee shops, supermarkets, bars & restaurants are all local. Room is probably the smallest I’ve ever stayed at. Bathroom situation is a huge problem and is probably unsafe. There is hardly any room to sit on the toilet or get a shower. You literally have to climb over the toilet to get into the bath/tub/shower and water will splash everywhere making it a slip hazard.
Bed is uncomfortable and probably in need of a new mattress as the springs pop when you roll over. WiFi is virtually non existent and your own mobile signal is significantly faster. Not ideal if you are from abroad and get billed for data roaming. I’ll attached screenshots of the speed tests.
Walls are paper thin and heavy walking can be heard very loudly from other residents and guests coming and going.
- Sue (9/5): Superb -
- Beatrix (7/5): ok - The location is very good and the bed comfortable Room and bathroom too small . Entrance hall very messy
- Helen (8/5): Very good - The location was perfect, couldn't be better. The property was clean. Host was so lovely and gave us excellent tips for the area. Just be warned, the bathroom is tiny but everything else made up for that.
- Presley (8/5): A relaxing and comfortable 2-night stay, easy access and easy commute into central London, close to multiple tube statio - Great location, Natasha was nice and communicative, perfect for a single person or couple for a short stay, clean and comfortable A little small for two people and cannot stand up in shower but had everything we needed
- Elaine (10/5): Exceptional - Loved the friendly, super helpful welcome.
Comfy bed, great amenities within the room,
Clean, fresh and well thought out accommodation.
The bathroom does require a bit of getting used to, and the hop over the loo is a bit of a challenge if you struggled with mobility but was spotless, well appointed and the bath was lovely when you're in.
- Brin (5/5): Good location, friendly welcome, but make sure you're no taller than 4'11" - Very friendly welcome. Nice neighbourhood close to Camden Town. The bathroom was a joke. Unless you're a Hobbit, there's no way to fit into the bathtub nor use the toilet comfortably. I understand the lack of space, but to try to pass this off as a usable bathroom is a bit of a stretch.
- Matthew (8/5): Very good -
- Stephen (7/5): Fabulous host, tiny studio, but spotlessly clean. - Natasha is a lovely and very pleasant host. She was very helpful.
The studio was spotlessly clean and the bed very comfortable. The studio is very tiny, a bit smaller than I was expecting. The bathroom is also tiny, especially for someone of my age.
- Annamaria (10/5): Exceptional - Really great location, very convenient, lovely neighbourhood. Loved that it had two windows despite being small and Natasha was a lovely host! Probably my favourite stay in London so far, definitely recommended and would come back again!
- Jess (7/5): Good location, friendly host - It did the job for what we needed for the weekend! Somewhere easy to stay near to a couple of tube stops. Nice area. Natasha was lovely and gave some good recommendations. The bathroom is not that easy to shower in. It’s a sit down shower cubicle and it’s tight to move around.
- Aniek (8/5): Very good -
- Feline (10/5): We really enjoyed our time in Primrose Hill :) - It was really cozy and next to a beautiful road with a lot of coffee places
- Caroline (7/5): Good - The location was great and so was our host! Very easy to communicate and very accommodating
- Ana (7/5): Good -
- Martin (7/5): Done the job! - The host was so helpful and chatty. Made sure we knew lots about the area, which I might say is beautiful. The size of the bathroom, could be a little tricky to move around in if your a person of older age as its a tight squeeze. The mattress could maybe be replaced as we kept rolling into the center and was a little thin but the room was clean, tidy and modern.
- Ripley (8/5): Great spot walking easy to public transport and Camden Market. - Lovely quiet spot, comfortable bed Smaller than I thought it was going to be.
- Rebecca (9/5): Great location, very walkable, close to the Underground and Regents Park -
- Cloggies (4/5): For short contortionists only - The area was quiet and safe. The room is too small for two guests. The bed is too narrow for two people, and has only about 15-20cm on either side between it and the walls. It is very low and sags into the middle. My spouse could touch the walls on either side with both hands at the same time. The bath/shower is also ridiculously small, very high on the sides, and situated under the stairs which makes standing impossible. You have to scramble over the toilet to get in. Even my short legs nearly hit the wall when using the toilet. My partner is tall and had no hope of using the bath. He had to contort himself at an angle to use the toilet. The tv is about the size of my computer monitor.
- Holly (4/5): Uncomfortable, unpleasant. You pay to stay in a nice area - The only good thing about the entire stay was the location. The room was not an adequate size for 2 people. Dirty carpet and a peculiar, unclean smell coming out of the wardrobe with someone else’s personal belongings inside.
The bath is comically small and dangerous to get in/out of. Bed had a dip in the middle, we were practically on the floor.
I knew the room was going to be small, but this really isn’t appropriate for the price per night.
We have paid £110 per night to stay inside a cupboard.
- Katie (8/5): We had a great stay! Natasha was very easy to communicate with - The bed was very soft and comfortable. Despite the room being small, It was very cosy The shower was a little difficult to get in/out of.
- Peter (9/5): Lovely stay - Very friendly staff, comfy bed, extremely clean in the room and bathroom lovely location. The sit in Bath was difficult to get into (but it matched the picture)
Everything else was lovely
- Don (8/5): Very good -
- Catalin (7/5): Tiny and clean apartment in a good area of London. - Good location, with facilities nearby: grocery, restaurants, and coffee places. It has all the necessary amenities packed in a couple of square meters, it's very clean and Natasha was also very friendly and gave us some nice tips about nearby locations with good food. The apartment is a 10-minute walk from subway stations and from where you can easily reach the city center in about 10 minutes. It's the perfect apartment if you're planning to spend most of your time visiting the city. I was surprised to see how small the apartment is but I can't say that I didn't like it. We mainly used the location for sleeping and taking a shower, the rest of the time was spent outside the apartment, visiting around.
- Filip (9/5): Superb -
- Tony (10/5): Exceptional - Location and the fact that the Studio was under a staircase - magical! Nothing
- Sarah (7/5): Good - Natasha and Martina (landlady and staff) are very attentive and lovely and the location is truly beautiful (thanks for the tips about Primrose Hill, Martina!). I know many people have mentioned how tiny it is (and it is), but I thought that to be quite endearing, although I wouldn't recommend the apartment to someone with mobility issues. The bed. I would have liked the place so much better if it weren't for the bed. I do admit I have dealt with serious back issues in the past, so it might be quite okay for someone with a healthier spine, but I really had to curl myself up in a corner of the bed and prop it up with pillows. With a great bed, the place would be much nicer for a short stay.
- Hwei (7/5): Good -
- Lucia (10/5): Exceptional - The accomodation was very nice and clean, sufficient for a couple. With a metro station within 10 min walk, direct line to the city center. We have enjoyed it!
- Stefania (7/5): Good - The localization was perfect and the place had pretty much everything you can need, including a small fridge and a hair dryer (the only thing I was missing was an iron, even a small one). There were towels, toiletries and tea-and-coffee set as well, and even some welcome sweets, which was a very nice touch 🙂 The neighbourhood is nice and quiet, and the price is great for a place with a private bathroom in such a close proximity to the city center (it's only a few stations away from the Buckingham Palace, for instance, and if you wish, you can even quite easily walk (!) to places such as the National Gallery - it took us about an hour of a nice stroll to get there and we got the chance to see a very nice Regents Park on our way there). The place was overall clean and rather pleasant to stay in. I'd definitely recommend it if you're looking for a place to just sleep in after a long day of sightseeing. The room is very, very tiny - we new it was small, but didn't expect it was THAT small. There is literally no way to move around when one person has their suitcase open. It's also extremely hard to get into the bathtub, I don't think it's doable for anyone with any sort of mobility issue, as you have to basically jump over the toilet to get to the tub. The place definitely looks like it was built as some kind of a storage room rather than a room to be lived in. It does, however, have two windows - one facing the street and one facing a nice garden (you can only open the first one, tho, and it's only possible to crack it a little - I expect it's due to security reasons). The studio was generally neat and clean, but there were some missed spots in both the bedroom and the bathroom (dusty bedside lamps, stainy bathroom wall, hair in the space behind the toilet - nothing awful, though, some people wouldn't even notice that, but I did so it bothered me a little bit). It would also be very useful to have some dishwashing soap to clean the tea/coffe set with, and a second spoon 🙂 But in general, the only major issue is the size of this studio, the rest are just trifles.
- Magda (9/5): Small but cozy - I really loved the location and the host was great. The studio is tiny, but I think it's about the right size for properties in that area of London. Public transport is within walking distance and Natasha was great! Very helpful when I arrived and had lots of tips for my stay. Just the size, it was a little shocking at first, but the whole studio is very well organized, so it has everything you need in a small space. It really didn't bother me.
- Wojciech (7/5): Good - Host is very nice person, localization is perfect- close to tube station and Camden Town The room and bathroom are tiny, in my opinion suitable only for one person. It's a bit tight for a couple, but for the price you can't expect anything better in the centre of London.
- Tom (10/5): Great weekend getaway - Location
- Jose (7/5): Location winner. - Location was brilliant.
Host was very welcoming.
Host gave us lots of information about the area, places to eat, visit etc. Bathroom was interesting.
We knew it was small before our visit, but it was difficult to manoeuvre for a larger framed person.
- Elena (10/5): Great location! - Quiet tree-lined street, close to cafés and two walking distance underground stations. Comfortable space with lots of charm and character. Wonderful, helpful host.
- Belinda (8/5): Very good - Lovely studio with friendly and helpful host. Great location, close to shops and tube stations. Bathroom is quite small, but private, so definitely not bad.
- Rebecca (8/5): Very good -
- Neil (10/5): Lovely - Location. And friendly host
- Ian (8/5): clean, comfortable and value for money. - clean, comfortable and value for money building works going on.
- Andressa (5/5): such a small place so easy to clean… no excuse for being dirty - It was not as clean as described. There was even hair from previous guest on the bathroom wall. The toilet rug smelled really bad. Dirty and small. The humidify in the room made ir smell badly
- Anna (6/5): all in all it was a good stay. thank you! - Nice and clean place, the location is good, just near the Primrose Hill. It was cold during the night, radiator didn’t work during the night.
Bathroom is too small, the ceiling is very low.
- Jeanette (9/5): Superb - Ideal as a base for trekking round London.
Lovely en suite, spotlessly clean, bed was made with really fresh, crisp, clean sheets....and very comfortable....Really nice area, friendly people, .
I felt safe walking around in the dark. Loads of shops and cafes. In walking distance to tube stations,
Camden Market, theatre and a cinema. Bus stop 5 minutes walk going everywhere. I couldn't fault any of it...
- Harriet (8/5): Lovely, cozy room at a great location - The location was great, really close to local amenities and public transport. The host met me at the property with the keys and WiFi password and was very helpful. The bed was really comfy so I slept well too. The room was a little cold when I got there but the heater came on very quickly so it wasn't a problem. The coffee available also wasn't black coffee but again that's not a huge problem!
- Regina (10/5): Exceptional - Cosy and tiny apartment
- Tjaša (9/5): Superb -
- Pedro (10/5): Exceptional - The hoster is very friendly and attentive, a lovely person.
- Roisin (8/5): Very good -
- Ashleigh (10/5): perfect for a little stay! - lovely and clean, everything was spotless and the host Natasha was absolutely lovely. She helped with places to eat and parking. Transport and other things were really close. I’m really impressed and would definitely stay again! Everything was perfect
- Sergiu (7/5): Good and quiet location but not a comfy stay. - Location was good. It was very quiet. The bed was not comfortable. The bath is under sloped ceiling and was uncomfortable to get in and out of it. Iy is not easy to air the room because the window doesn't open too much. And the kettle had calcareous deposits on it.
- Mathilda (9/5): Superb -
- Lena (6/5): Pleasant -
- Varissara (9/5): Superb -
- Courtney (4/5): it was good overall but unfortunately was smaller then expected. tv didn’t work and one off the staff members were very - very quiet area and walking distance from tube and Camden Town very small space and small facilities such as bath/ sink/ toilet
- Ogbuanu (9/5): Superb - The place was good, okay for 2 persons ( I travelled with my 6year old), super clean, in central London, lots of stores close by and even have a farm market around. The host was really nice. I definitely will recommend this place 👌.
- Damian (8/5): Very good - Great location.
It was only a short walk from Camden, plenty of things to do around the area.
The host was very friendly and very knowledgeable of the local area. The only thing that I struggled with was the shower as it's in a very small bathroom. Other than that though it was a lovely stay.
- David (5/5): Passable -
- Roisin (8/5): Very good - Location and cleanliness
Host was extremely helpful
- Areeb (6/5): It was alright - Location Water in the tub was cold. Wouldn't get warm. It was also really really small. A few fixtures were broken
- Maren (9/5): Superb - It's a small, lovely Ensuit-room and a great place to start your London adventure. Max 15 min walk to Camden Market and about 10min to the next tube station. It was lovely meeting the landlady and her adorable companions.
Looking forward to coming back.
- Thais (8/5): Small but lovely - The room is very tidy and cozy, in a lovely neighborhood and next to the underground. Considering the location, it has a great price. The entrance is charming, typically British. The hostess was very kind and helpful. It is important to have in mind that the room is quite small. So I think it will fit 01 person perfectly. For 02 people, I don´t think it is very comfortable.
- Renato (8/5): Very good -
- Meganmackney (5/5): Passable -
- Aneta (5/5): Not as good as the say... - The location was ok, it was quiet and safe at night and getting back from the center was quite easy. On the day of my arrival at Booking, I had to check in at 1pm the whole time. At 12.45, when we were sitting with our luggage in Primrose Hill, we got a message that the apartment would not be ready at 1pm. I wrote that, according to Booking, check-in is in a moment, but the host changed the check-in time on the reservation and we could not do anything. We were very disappointed. We waited another 2 hours for the apartment to be ready. It wasn't extra clean though. There was a lot of old dust behind the TV and in the bedside lamps.
