• Lin (1/5): Decent place, but major issues and poor support made the stay disappointing. - We stayed at this London accommodation recently and unfortunately, it did not meet expectations. What we liked: The location was convenient and made it easy to access key areas of the city. The space itself has potential—it’s a good size and could be very comfortable if properly maintained. For ~2.5 days, the unit lacked basic functionality—many electrical outlets didn’t work (we couldn’t charge devices), the kitchen was unusable, and laundry didn’t function. This reduced the apartment to a basic room. We reported issues within an hour of arrival and followed up repeatedly. While there was communication, nothing was meaningfully fixed until we were expressed expectation to be moved to working suite. We also lost time troubleshooting instead of enjoying our trip. We chose this property for a functional kitchen and laundry—neither was reliably available, and groceries had to be thrown out. The apartment was also uncomfortably hot—reaching 27°C in April—with no access to AC despite being listed. The information packet said to pen the windows for relief but it made it noisy and difficult to sleep. After the stay: It took over a month to resolve, including involving Booking.com. The property manager and Owner/host did not provide compensation or resolution which was very disappointing. However, Booking.com issued a small credit instead but it didn't make up for what was remotely lost or cost us. Bottom line: If everything works, it could be a decent stay. But when core amenities fail and the host doesn’t take accountability, it’s not worth the risk. There are better, more reliable options in London and travel isn't cheap. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT.
• Jeanmarie (10/5): We had a wonderful week, in town for a family wedding. Would recommend Chancery Quarters to anyone. - The apartment was wonderful, very clean and well equipped. The concierge was friendly and so helpful, and the location was perfect for my needs. I also felt very safe and secure. The only thing I would have changed is the temperature of the room. The concierge came up and reset the thermostat, but it remained extremely warm. It was an unusually warm week in London, so I understand that this is not the norm, but I do wish we could have controlled the room temperature a bit. However, this would not keep me from returning.

The staff (Joseph) was helpful and courteous. The unit had been fairly recently remodeled, was clean, and furniture nice. Having a washer was a big plus. Only the flooring showed signs of wear. Shower and bath quite modern. The bed was so comfortable after a long day of sightseeing. A nice nest for a week in London. Very very minor issues…can’t say we didn’t ‘like’ the property because of them but…the lighting and heating adjustments were not clear. We still weren’t sure how we got the lights in each area on and off but we coped. Never figured out the stove completely, nor used it as a microwave, but were able to heat ready made food from the store. It would have been nice to have a broom…

The interior is modern and stylish, with three bedrooms—two with private bathrooms and one with an external bathroom. The neighborhood is quiet and convenient, close to both the bus and metro stations. There are also plenty of restaurants, pubs, and cafés in the area, making it easy to explore and enjoy local life. Highly recommended! The only minor issue was that occasionally we could hear some noise from the pipes in one part of the house. However, this was outside the bedrooms and did not disturb our sleep.

• Hadrien (9/5): Bel appartement et bien situé. - La grandeur de l'appartement est parfait, l'agencement des pièces est plutôt bien faite (pour ma part appartement 1 au premier étage). Les matelas sont très confortables et grands. Les douches sont spacieuses, facile à utiliser et la cuisine très fonctionnelle. La situation géographique l'est d'autant plus, arrêt de métro à seulement 8min à pied, et le bus juste en dessous. Idem pour un supermarché et un café si besoin. Je recommande sans hésitation La lumière des SDB se déclenche seule (dans l'idée, pourquoi pas) mais elle mets au moins 1H à s'éteindre, ce qui peut poser problème le soir/nuit. L'eau n'est pas suffisamment froide, pas de soucis en hiver, mais en été, cela doit poser un réel problème. Idem pour la climatisation, impossible de gérer la température souhaitée. Et j'en ai passé du temps sur le thermostat, à comprendre comment l'utiliser, impossible de le régler convenablement. L'utilisation des boutons lumières ne sont pas évidents au début, mais nous comprenons rapidement comment cela marche (le plus gros bouton rectangulaire en bas sert à éteindre la zone souhaitée, les 4 autres plus petits rectangles permettent d'allumer telle ou telle partie de la zone concernée).
• Théophile (5/5): Décevant. - L'emplacement. Le système électrique, interrupteurs compliqués à utiliser. Aucun mode d'emploi pour le four/micro ondes, on ne s'en est donc pas servi.. Table trop petite pour 4 personnes. Chauffage impossible à régler, seule solution, ouvrir la fenêtre si nécessaire d'après la fiche de recommandations dans l'appartement. Store d'une des chambres bloqué ouvert pendant une journée et une nuit et donnant sur les appartements en face. Par ailleurs nous avions choisi, d'après les photos, un appartement côté rue pour éviter les désagréments du bruit des poubelles en soirée côté cours signalés par d'autres utilisateurs et c'est malheureusement ce que nous avons eu.

• James (9/5): Nice Flat and Great Location - The flat was a very good size and the kitchen area was really good for a short term rental. The location was close to everything that you'd want to see and there were several restaurants and bars close by. The building was nice and well kept. Would stay here again. There was a bit of an issue with connecting to the WiFi in the flat we were in, but the owners helped with access to other routers, so a workable solution was found. There was an odd noise that came from one air ducts from time to time.

We'd recommend this property! Dust bunnies under bed and sofa. They'd been there building up awhile. Only found them because Id temporarily lost a sock. Bedding was clean and unit overall clean otherwise. A bit of festive bar noise from an outdoor courtyard below our windows but it quit at a decent time and if the windows were closed and/or TV on, even less of an issue.

Для тех, у кого чуткий сон это может вызывать дискомфорт, так как часы бьют каждый час. Но в остальном тихо. Шум с улицы не слышен. Без кондиционера душновато. Окна соседнего дома расположены очень близко, поэтому шторы все время закрыты и квартира плохо вентилируется. И еще зачем-то сняли картины со стен, из-за этого квартира смотрится не так уютно, как на фото. Но в целом проживание было очень комфортным. Рекомендую к заселению.

• Frederick (7/5): Great location, but poorly designed apt. - Location could not be better, near the Imperial Courts of Justice on Fleet Street and in the other direction near the Chancery Lane subway stop on High Holborn, (circle line). Apt was clean and quiet. Apt is difficult to negotiate. First, although repeatedly told that someone would be on site to let me in this did not happen. I snuck in behind a cleaner. The bathroom was poorly arranged, only mirror hung over the toilet at about 5feet high, requiring either a straddle or standing on the seat. All lights are in ceiling, making reading in bed difficult and putting on makeup near impossible. Although most lights were infinitely adjustable (a hassle really) the bathroom lights were not, and went on full tilt every time you walk in, and stay on for 20 minutes or so. King bed was also too big for bedroom as tiny closet door could not open since it hit the bed at about 40 degrees. Washing machine lacked directions or ability to dry without extra long, hot and rigorous wash. Then two days before Christmas the hot water failed for 24 hours, as did the heat. Apparently the entire floor was affected, requiring a “system reboot." Bad luck, or an apt design too clever by half?
