Guest Reviews
- FEDERICA (10/5): - Posizione vicino alla metro e treno.
- Antonio (10/5): It is the first time that I felt like at home in London - It had it all
- Sarah (10/5): Amazing! - The hosts greeted us at the property and welcomed us so warmly.
We were instantly made to feel at home, they had thought of absolutely everything to make our stay great, even leaving fresh fruit and flavoured water for the children.
All the essentials were provided so we didnt need to go to the shop immediately after arriving, however if we did need anything tesco is opposite.
The hosts were available at anytime we needed anything and nothing was too much trouble.
We felt so at home and comfortable, our children were also very happy and catered for. It was as if we were staying with family friends.
Thankyou for making our weekend, we will definitely be staying with you again, if you will have us. S x
- Wimolrat (9/5): Love it. - The place feels like home.
- Bernard (9/5): - Good location right near Tesco and a short walk to the station. We were met by our hosts son to let us in and showed us how the WiFi works and helped with carrying the suitcases up the stairs. He was very helpful and friendly.
- Lilian (10/5): A good place to return to after a tiring day outside. - A great place to stay in London. It’s down the road from Woolwich Station on the Elizabeth Line (10 mins walk) and even nearer from Woolwich Arsenal Station (5 mins walk).
With a direct service from Woolwich Arsenal to St Pancras International Station, it’s so very convenient for tourists travelling by Eurostar to other cities in Europe.
Ferry service direct to London city using Uber boat is available at Woolwich Pier and it is not far from Woolwich Station (7 mins walk). The ferry brings you all the way to the heart of the city, past Tower Bridge and the Parliament.
Extremely convenient shopping from Tesco (1 min walk) as well as very affordable goods from the flea market near the station (5 mins walk). Low-priced shoes to buy as well from Clark’s outlet store nearby.
The apartment is up a flight of narrow stairs, but we’re grateful for the host, Philip, in helping us with some of the luggage. It’s spacious for a family of 3, and can accommodate up to 6 persons. A mobile phone is provided free of charge to share mobile data to access the internet which could be brought out of the house into the city. We appreciate our kind hosts for this helpful provision.
Thank you, Philip and Jacqui, for hosting us. Thank you also for your thoughtfulness in buying us fruits and most of all, thank you for providing us with a clean, well- equipped and very well-kept apartment.
- Sylvia (8/5): A very clean, spacious, and well-equipped apartment in a great location. - The apartment was very clean, spacious, and well-equipped, with comfortable bedrooms and a cozy, modern kitchen. The location is ideal—only a 10-minute walk to the Elizabeth Line, which takes you to central London in about 30 minutes. Philip responded quickly and communication was excellent Nothing
- Lavinia (10/5): Amazing stay, great location - The host was very friendly and available for anything that we might need. They welcomed us and showed us everything around the house. The location was really good, with a huge Tesco very close. I loved everything!
- Federico (9/5): Great place, great stay. - Me and my family had a great stay. The host Philip is very welcoming, and it's evident that great care is put into making sure the guests have a good experience, from the big things (cleanliness, etc.) to the small (you've got your hairdryer, your toaster, iron and board, coffee maker... it doesn't sound like much when you point it out, but sometimes these simple things are overlooked and not provided, and then you feel their absence).
We had a great stay, very comfortable. There were 4 of us so the two bedrooms were perfect for us. If you have more people with you there's also a sofa bed in the living room which I guess can sleep one or two more. There are two common areas, one being the living room and the other being the kitchen. The latter is well stocked with utensils so you can prepare anything you would reasonably make at home.
The apartment is very well located w.r.t. public transportation, about 2 minutes on foot from the DLR station and 4 from the local Elizabeth line entrance. Close proximity to the Elisabeth line is especially useful as it means you can reach just about any destination in the city reasonably quickly and without too much issue (e.g. it only takes about 25 minutes to go Paddington). Yes Woolwich itself is a bit far from the city centre, but if you take advantage of London's excellent public transportation network, that really doesn't matter.
There's also a large Tesco supermarket almost in front of the apartment so you don't have to go far to get your groceries. This was perfect for us since we would head out in the morning, come back in the evening, do some shopping for dinner and then eat in, so we could take it easy and relax a bit before bedtime.
Woolwich itself, from what I can gather, is mostly a residential and commercial district, although we didn't really explore it much since our itinerary was very packed. To be honest the apartment exceeded my expectations so I really don't have anything to complain about. The only minor criticism I could make would be that the windows were a bit grimy from the outside. I can see them being very hard to clean due to how they're built however, and again I want to stress this is absolutely nothing major.
Letti top!! Ottimo il supermercato Tesco proprio davanti a casa.Philip host molto accogliente!
- NADIA (10/5): -
Also wirklich weiter zu empfehlen!
- Florencia (10/5): Excelente estadía en Woolwich. - Muy limpio, muy prolijas las instalaciones. El anfitrión muy amable y en comunicación. Volveremos. Nada

Would definitely recommend and use again

- Vest (10/5): Exceptional - Great host - super clean anf comftable - everything needed was there. Seriosly the cleanest place we have ever rented.
- Barbara (8/5): Very good -
- Piotr (10/5): Great place for a group trip to London - Very good location - 5min walk to 2 underground / train stations (Woolwich and Woolwich Arsenal), meaning you can get to central London in 25 minutes. Right across the street from a huge Tesco, with several bars and restaurants in the area as well. Spacious 2-level apartment, with a living room, 2 separate bedrooms (comfy beds!), clean bathroom and a well-equipped kitchen. Friendly & helpful owner who was kind enough to accommodate an early check-in. Overall great value for money if booking for 3-4 people. No issues whatsoever, would highly recommend this place.
- Nicola (9/5): Great accommodation with all amenities nearby. Owner very welcoming. We had a fabulous time - Very close to two tube stations and a supermarket.
Spacious rooms Stairs to the flat are quite steep.
- Diana (9/5): It was splendid, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend. - It was clean and quite near a subway station. Supermarket across the road. The stairs. The steps were vey steep, but that’s the feature of the architecture.
- Amber (8/5): Very good -
- Georgia (10/5): perfect - it was very clean and had all the emenities we needed including essentials we may have forgot like toothpaste. Even gave us some fresh fruit to enjoy :)
- Nicholas (10/5): Exceptional - "The apartment is in a strategic location, very close to a supermarket and practically every service. The host, Philip, was kind and very friendly in showing us the property; he made us feel at home right away. I recommend the place and would gladly return!"

- Kelum (10/5): It is very comfertable convenient place in London for visitors. - Philip has provided great hospitality for us. He is willing to provide excellent service to his customer and he has helped us in many ways. I am delighted to recommend Residential Quarters as perfect place for visitors coming to London. N/A
- Kelum (10/5): Exceptional -
- Johannes (10/5): Best base to discover London! - This place let US enjoy the best vacation one can Dream of. WE were welcomed personally and Professional. WE Had asked for assistance in dealing with finding a parking space and Philip Made all possible with patient listening and useful tips. The historically interesting house appears normal from outside but offers inside all comfort from home. And in a specially Central Location right next to every imaginary means of Public Transport. Even the fast and fair priced Thames Clipper boats. WE recommend this without hesitation to everyone and cannot wait to Return soon :)
- Yi (5/5): the property did not meet my expectation with my stay. - the location of property has very convenience transportation choices, bus, subway, train, and uber boat. and property has a kitchen, as well as grocery store nearby. it could be better to make clear information about property:
1. bathroom and bedroom does not in the same level. 2. the property is good for backpacker travelers, very limited luggage; 3. the property does not supply internet. 4. the property has no air condition during the summer time.
- Echefu (10/5): Great Place - Nice place for a family outing. Everything about the apartment is fine, will love to come back here in my next holiday. Nil
- Alfredo (10/5): Great and clean location . Philip is friendly and makes the difference .The place to stay in London - Great location clean and comfortable close to Elizabeth Line and DLR . Philip makes you feel like home and is a great person in terms of professionalism and empathy above expectations . I highly recommend location and management . This is the place to stay in London .
- Jodie (10/5): Fabulous London stay - The apartment was great, even better than I expected. It was lovely and big, clean and comfortable. Check in and check out was very easy. The place is in a great position very close to the tube station, shops, take aways you can find anything you need. The apartment had everything we needed including tea, coffee and fresh fruit. The hosts are the nicest most helpful people I have been fortunate to meet. Thank you for a perfect stay Nothing
- Tanya (8/5): It was great and we would stay there again! - Philip was lovely and gave us lots of information and some fresh fruit. The appartement is very close to a supermarket and lots of transport Internet wasn’t great and a hairdryer would have been nice
- Matějka (9/5): Very nice, clean and spacious apartment in a stylish house with a very kind owner. - Very nice, clean and spacious apartment in a walking distance to Elizabeth Line and DLR, which makes travelling to city center very easy. Tesco and number of restaurants are very close to the apartment.
The owner was very kind and hospitable, we were allowed to check-out any time (no guests arriving on the same day) and also got a fruit welcome-pack :)
I can definitely recommend this accommodation. Hard to find anything I didn't like, maybe the main road is bit noisy. But no problem for us.
- Jose (9/5): Superb -
- Coffee (9/5): Superb - Philipp our host met us at the front of the property to hand over the keys and gave us a tour of the property and explained how to use all the facilities and where things are. The property is very comfortable, all that we needed were available. He even provided a generous options of tea and coffee. Philipp and family were very easy to communicate with, responded quickly. He also provided us with a mobile phone to use around town and to hotspot our devices for internet connection. Location is very good - right across the road from Tesco Extra (supermarket), plenty of food outlets and restaurants to choose from. Easy walking distance from Woolwich Station (for Elizabeth line - straight from the Heathrow Airport) and Woolwich Arsenal station (for DLR and other train lines). Very close to City Airport. Quiet neighbourhood. We were there in the beginning of UK's winter. The apartment is well equipped with heaters, we were comfortable. Beds were comfortable. Definitely home away from home. - There is no clothes dryer (machine), understandably space is an issue with apartments. Philipp however provided clothes airer and radiators helped to dry some clothes quicker than the airer.
- Room for improvements: clarification on which phone number to contact as I ended up contacting Jacqui (Philipp's wife) who kindly reply to my messages.
- Like many apartments in UK and Europe, where the building is old there are numerous staircases to climb to get to the property or room, not suitable for people with wheelchair or those who struggle to climb stairs. My suggestion for others is to bring small suitcases as navigating narrow and numerous staircases might be even more challenging with large suitcases
- This is not a negative feedback for Philipp or the property, it's more to do with council/local government maintenance - there were a pile of excrement left just outside the property which weren't cleaned up for the few days we were there until we were just about to leave.
- Gusw (6/5): Fair accommodation for a family on leisure - Tesco extra and abundant transportation close by.
Decent kitchen appliances offering; some remainder salt/pepper/oil can be used
Staff takes time to answer to your messages but is overall friendly and helpful.
Electric outlet adapters (EU -> UK) available.
You may change the heating temperature if you need to. No wifi - unlimited 4g and a mobile phone provided instead.
Strong cigarettes smell in the living room.
Steep stairs, not luggage friendly.
Double bed is too small for a couple.
Thin walls; easy to listen to your neighbors throughout the day.
TV reception/offering is poor.
No blackout blinders in the bedroom.
Neighborhood is shady.
- Anonymous (8/5): A pleasantly surprising apartment in an up-and-coming area, close to O2, Excel and Canary Wharf - Very well-kept and well-supplied apartment, perfect for a self-catering stay.
It’s located in an area that’s being very well-developed and is directly across the road from a massive Tesco Extra.
Walking distance to the DLR and Tube stations.
It’s in Woolwich, in the far east-end of London, so is good for O2 or Excel for shows or conferences or to get to Canary Wharf for corporate events.
It’s in zone 4 on the underground map so budget accordingly if you go into central London. Not an issue with the apartment, just the distance that Woolwich is from central London, which is where we spent most of our time.
If one had to pick anything they didn’t like, it’s that there’s no wifi, but this can be discussed with the host, Philip, who was very accommodating.
Wifi didn’t matter for us as we left early and got back late each night and made use of mobile data with no issue.
- Hoi (9/5): good location - very clean and tidy
- M.c.g. (9/5): Superb -
