- tjpuk (8/5): - Good location for what we were in London for. Facilities in the room/apartment are good and the staff helpful. There are self-catering facilities in the room but we used services like Deliveroo / Just Eat to get food delivered. It's worth knowing that it isn't really possible to access the property by car/taxi. As we were aware of this and there were a few of us, we were able to arrive late afternoon/early evening and stopped in a loading bay on Cheapside to offload luggage and people then I went to park the car. Just takes a bit of planning. We've stayed here a couple of times and so must have been happy however, on both visits, there have been problems with the building lift being out of service. If you have mobility issues then this could be a problem.

- Christie (8/5): Fabulous apartment a stones through from St Paul’s! - A lovely, ridiculously clean apartment that had a great location for a wedding we attended at Skinners Hall. It had everything you’d need and the turn down service is a bonus. Helpful staff and maids. The mattress in the smaller apartment was hard and seemed to have a hump in it. The pillows were really soft and not very supportive but after requesting some firmer ones they were delivered which made a massive difference to our sleep the second night. Even with these issues we would recommend/return. Would like a lock or chain on the front door given we had a toddler as well. We used the door wedge and a chair to make us feel comfortable sleeping well incase someone come in or our toddler decided to open the door when we were not looking.

The reception desk was very friendly, courteous and professional and the apartments were roomy and spotless. An added bonus is that the property was less than a five minute walk from a tube station. There was nothing to complain about at this property. I have only good things to say about this property.

- Geoff (10/5): Great. Felt like a home. - Location was amazing. Easy walk to everything. St Pauls, Millennium Bridge, Tate gallery, Maison house tube station. Staff were friendly and very helpful. I was amazed at how quiet it was in the flat vs on the street. You couldn't hear any of the very busy street noise. Air Conditioning was top rate. It was 30 in London while we lounged in a comfy 22. Overall, very clean, comfortable 2 bedroom flat that could have easily fit 6 with the pull out sofa. We were truly delighted by the location, comfort and cleanliness. I'd go back without question.

This was not a family trip, and the accommodation layout didn’t suit their needs. The bed was too small for two people to sleep comfortably, and the sofa was also too small to be used as an extra bed. My family found it difficult to rest well during their stay, which made the overall experience disappointing. Sadly, based on their feedback, I would not recommend this property.

The apartment was impeccably clean, stylishly furnished, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing visit. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and responsive, making us feel right at home. The location was perfect—quiet yet central, with easy access to St. Paul’s, public transport, and great restaurants. It truly felt like a home in the heart of London, and we would gladly return.

- Natalie (10/5): Beautiful apartment, great location - Perfect location, right next to St Paul’s cathedral and many, many restaurants and cafés. The apartment was very nice and quite spacious. We had a 2 bedroom apartment with a very private master suite, which was nice. It had all the amenities you need. The toiletries were beautiful- L’Occitane, which I adore!! Despite the noisy location (right next to 3 pubs/bars), the windows were very insulting and you couldn’t hear any noise upstairs Perhaps some condiments in the kitchen would’ve been helpful. Thank you for the coffee capsules, milk and water in the fridge

- Natalya (6/5): - location is good, clean very small apartment, air conditioner is located on the floor, which is not very good. They take a large deposit of over £400 when you check in. As a result, I haven't been able to get a refund for a week after checking out

- Ellen (10/5): Excellent stay, fully air conditioned during a hot summer week - We stayed in a deluxe 2 bedroom apartment for 5 nights on the 4 th floor. It had a large living area, well appointed separate kitchen and comfortable bedrooms. The beds were nicely firm and the linen felt lovely. Extra special was the view of St Paul’s from the living room window. The air conditioning throughout was wonderful during a very hot week in London. It worked very well, no noise at night and good at keeping the whole place at a comfortable temperature. Also the daily housekeeping was a really nice additional feature. We were very happy with our stay at Calico House We liked everything

- Laura (10/5): This is such a quaint town that makes a wonderful hub for seeing so many sights within an hours drive. Went to church lo - The Annex is an adorable 2-story separate building behind the owner’s house with its own entrance. Lovely flowers set out, and security motion lights in the courtyard at front door. Unbelievably quaint small patio off lovely glassed in sunporch with our own pots of herbs and vistas into their garden of birds and family cat. The kitchen had nice appliances and what we needed to make small meals. Plenty of tea towels which is always a plus. Full sized frig with milk and stick of butter and freezer packs and small bag of ice waiting for us in the freezer. She left us eggs, local apple juice which is fabulous, instant coffee, tea, bread, snacks and seasonal Easter cupcakes! Very, very clean, quiet, wonderful beds and bedding. Owner has thought of small touches of afghans, wonderful toiletries, washing machine, drying rack, plenty of towels and even washcloths! We used the heat during our stay. Slept in warm PJs. Nothing. It was all fabulous!

- Natalia (10/5): Maravillosa, como en casa. - Me gustó mucho las toallas y la ropa de cama y almohadas. Sensación de sentirse como en casa. No había ruido y pudimos descansar muy bien. Si tuviera que decir algo que las puertas de las estancias no se sujetaban abiertas , se cerraban solas era necesario poner un calzador y había que poner el tope porque sino se cerraban. Y a veces era un poco costoso ponerlo.

Bit of a mix-up with the food delivery, but Cheval not responsible at all £350 worth of driving penalty fines!!!! In one day!!!! I will use an alternative to London for my next Visa renewal
- AD (6/5): Great location but their booking system is unreliable - Location and comfortable room layout We travelled from Japan for a special 40th bday celebration. The booking was made months in advance after I carefully reviewed all rooms available and chose the best for our needs. However, on the morning of arrival we received an email that our room wasn’t available (overbooking) and that a better “bigger and nicer” room was offered. That was a lie. The other room was smaller, on a lower floor and next to a noisy maintenance room. I didn’t mind the overbooking, but the lie was unacceptable. The manager and reception staff were apologetic, but it did spoil the experience. So if you are traveling for a very special occasion, I’d suggest booking elsewhere.

- IngridAda (10/5): Everything perfect - Good location, close to bus and the tube, walking distance to major attractions. We had issues with our flights and the personnel went above and beyond to facilitate everything we needed. Absolutely nothing negative.

- Louise (10/5): So much nicer for a family than being squashed into a hotel room, this property is perfect for a stay in London - Brilliantly located, easy walk to Borough Market, Shard, South Bank and West End. Very clean, spacious, nicely furnished, beds very comfortable, kitchen well equipped. Very nice welcome from the concierge. Housekeeping service which we hadn’t expected, so beds perfectly made and apartment tidied for us which was lovely to come home too.

- Michaela (10/5): What a gem! - This is a jewel of an accommodation! Hoping to be back with my family some day. The location was perfect, the reception staff friendly, everything was sparking clean and so well organised. Free water and milk, and daily housekeeping, were extras we didn’t expect but much appreciated! The views from penthouse were spectacular. Nothing, it was the best stay ever in London.
- Britney (10/5): Best central London location - The perfect location in central London - close to absolutely everything, multiple tube lines to choose from, you can hear the bells of St Paul's, bustling pubs, great restaurants. So good. The only issue with the apartment is the full size bed. I missed that part in the description and it is small for 2 people and we are not big people. It would be unbearable for 2 plus sized individuals. The shower would probably be problematic as well.
