- Roman (6/5): Quiet location in a nice garden, but could be better maintained - The best of this apartment is the very quiet location with a lovely garden. Heating was strong and did warm up the apartment fast, warm water worked. The bed was very soft but worked out for us for one week. The owners provided a basic breakfast with toast, butter, croissants, coffee, orange juice and some milk. There is also biscuits and tea provided. W5 bus runs very close to the location (Stanhope Road / Crouch End). There was an adapter for UK to EU plug provided. Owner answered quite fast to messages / questions. The sink in the bathroom was clogged on arrival and we had to ask for a plunger and managed to free the sink ourselves with it. This was not a nice task, there was a lot of dirt and foul water blocking the sink drainage. Altogether, the cleanliness of the apartment was only regular. The kitchen is very limited and rather works only to make coffee in the morning or for using the microwave. There is hardly any pots and very little cutlery, e.g. only one single teaspoon. WIFI signal was very weak and the phone didn't stay connected to it. For the price, we'd have expected it to be better maintained.

- Penelope Ruth (8/5): A restful haven to retire after a busy day - Tranquil , calm garden setting Warm , cosy & comfortable . Breakfast provided. Walking distance to amenities & transport. Supportive host.
- Angela (7/5): A nice cheap place to stay in London, good location and clean - Great location to Alexander Palace which is where we were heading for the evening.
The property was warm, clean bedding and towels. Basic but comfortable.
Milk, croissants, tea and coffee were left for us which we thought was a nice touch.
The price was really good! The property lacked in certain areas. There were only two forks, two spoons and two tea spoons. We had no knives.
There was no tv (not a massive problem but would have been nice)
The wifi was not working at all, I couldn’t ever get connected but my partner did for 20 mins or so.
- elaine (5/5): Private cabin in a good location. Has the potential to be lovely but sadly it wasnt. - The cabin was quiet and private. It is a good size for one or two people. The bed was comfortable and the shower/hot water facilities adequate. Tea bags, sugar, instant coffee and ground coffee provided. Extra blankets provided but not extra pillows. Wrong season to enjoy the garden but could be nice in the summer. Wifi provided but not great speeds. Plenty of plug sockets but needed to move bed to use them. Another set of keys was requested and provided quickly by the host. The cabin was not very clean. Cobwebs, dusty and marks on walls/kitchen. Several ceiling lights blown and the extractor in the bathroom was filthy. On arrival the floor was wet so I used some kitchen paper I had brought with to dry the foor. Paper was extremely dirty after this. You have to walk down a garden path and cross a patch of grass to get to the cabin which might be better in the summer but it was very muddy now. Had to use phone torch at night as no lighting on path. Everything was tired and needs refreshing. Enormous pointless sideboard taking up room but no wardrobe (couple of hangers on back of door) or TV. The blinds at the glass windows were broken, dirty and not fit for purpose. The breakfast for 2 days consisted of a prepacked white sliced loaf, pack of 4 supermarket croissants, pack of butter and a carton of juice. The fridge was very dirty with spilt food and had an opened/half used bottle of milk. Heating was via a Dyson fan (which was also very dirty)
- Marlon (6/5): - Nice location in a quiet area & private entrance.
Host was responsive in request for early check in & other general enquiries.
Comfy bed & roomy. Breakfast was a letdown
I always book with this option as I travel & like a good start to the day.
Sadly all that was provided was one box of cereal & bread.
Confused as to no marge or Jams?
No fresh fruit.
Fruit juice was nice & a few biscuits.
Accommodation needs a spruce up the floors were dusty & i was looking for extra pillows but were not fresh.
The pathway was well lit but the gravel path needs to be extended to the studio as it was a wet night & slippery underfoot on the grass/mud.
- Fradejas (10/5): It was great, thank you! - Lovely little cabin in Highgate, the host was extremely helpful. We had a lovely stay, thank you!
- Ruth (9/5): - Excellent value for money and perfect location for us due to family nearby. It was perfect for our needs.
- Jamie (9/5): -
- Charles (10/5): Great and very well priced - The Location and value for money was great, only a short walk to the Highgate station.
They supplied breakfast items which was great and very handy.
- Paul (9/5): -
- Alison (8/5): Nice little studio for a short stay. Could do with a little updating, the large brown furniture takes up too much room - Excellent location for us and really quiet. Bed was clean and comfy. It got warm with the heating on and a generous breakfast left for us. Very dark from gate to studio - torch on key chain didn’t work. A bit dusty and needs a clean around the windows but kitchen area and bathroom v clean.
- Karen (8/5): Lovely warm cosy place in a great location. - Great location and lovely warm cosy place. Good value for money too. There wasn’t much for breakfast - no cereal or jam eg for the toast or croissants.
- Daniel (6/5): - Great location, peaceful and warm. The Studio is lovely, it just needs a bit of updating and care. Friendly and helpful communications from the host. The bathroom seemed clean, but generally the cabin could do with a bit more care. A comfy chair would be nice. Fresh coffee was good, but there was nothing healthy for breakfast. Outside lighting leading to the Studio was poor. WiFi was useless.
- Christopher (8/5): -
- christopher (8/5): - Ideal for our visits to the area. Great location, beautiful garden, loads of birds and squirrels, great breakfast, comfortable bed, lovely hot shower.
- Carl (10/5): - Peaceful cabin in the garden. Comfortable and cool. The host provided a generous selection of provisions for breakfast - bread, butter, biscuits, cereal, juice, milk and more. Easy walk to Highgate and Archway. Next to the Parkland walk for a decent traffic-free run to Finsbury Park and beyond. Perfect for a working week in London.
- Julia (5/5): Great location but tired unkept - Great location and good communication with host. Welcome pack was above and beyond what you would expect. Needed a good clean, dust and cobwebs
Would rather have had it cleaned thoroughly than the exceptionally generous welcome pack.
- Mahan (5/5): - It was in a nice location The sheets didn’t seem clean or freshly washed. Also, before arriving at the property, I had a question about the location and tried to contact them through the Booking app, via SMS, and even by phone call but received no response. Even three days after I sent message , I still haven’t heard back from them. It’s quite disappointing. Whenever I used the shower or turned on the kitchen tap, there was a strong smell of sewage.
- Willow (7/5): Well located spot and a quiet secluded place to stay - would stay again - Well located and had all the necessary amenities Wi-Fi was patchy when on and as previous reviewers have said blinds needed a little TLC! A good clean more than anything
- Chris (10/5): -
- Shannen (10/5): - Perfect location for Alexandra palace. Host left breakfast bits for us which was really appreciated. Host also sent very detailed info about the area with recommendations. It didn’t feel like we were in London, so peaceful. Would definitely stay here again.
- Julie (10/5): Peaceful, clean and great value - Great quiet location, very close to where we wanted to be. Hosts couldn’t be more helpful, with early drop off of our bags before check in. Nothing!
- Sharon (8/5): Very good - Lovely studio situated in a residential area but within walking distance to great pubs/restaurants. Great for a short stay. Breakfast items provided - tea coffee cereal biscuits bread perfectly adequate. Would definitely return Nothing
- Rebecca (8/5): Lovely studio in a great location - Good location, lovely little studio with some nice touches e.g. snacks etc. Couldn't close the blinds, which was lovely in the morning, but not so much in the evening and overnight....made my daughter quite uncomfortable
- Russell (7/5): Good - Comfortable bed Cobwebs
- Réka (8/5): Very good -
- Ian (6/5): Pleasant - The location was good
The studio surrounds were charming. Bed was excellent. Breakfast was supplied. The studio is looking a bit tired. It needs maintenance especially the blinds.
4 lights not working
Microwave difficult as at ground level .
- Katherine (8/5): Convenient location for our overnight stay to visit friends, lovely quiet area. - Convenient location for our overnight stay to visit friends, lovely quiet area. Comfy bed. Blinds could do with some TLC
- Old (9/5): Beautiful tranquil spot - Such a tranquil spot. Complete privacy and views of garden, sky, trees and birds from bed in the morning. Very well stocked for breakfast Very limited cooking facilities
- Phillip (10/5): Very enjoyable - Breakfast was great
The location suited us exactly Maybe outdoor night lights for the gravel path and at the garden flat
- Deborah (7/5): Needs an infusion of love - I've stayed at this property three times before -- the location is perfect for my needs. I think the owner should spend a night in his/her property and can see the few adjustments that would make it a much better place to stay. The water heater is so corroded with calcium that large flakes were coming off in my tea -- disgusting! One hanger is simply inadequate. Also when I arrived my clean towels and sheets were still damp! I had to sleep in damp sheets - really not okay. Each time I stay there is less and less available for breakfast. When I first stayed, I was pleasantly surprised and I have become disappointed in the bare minimum that is now provided.
- Helen (7/5): Very good. - The property was exactly as described. Small but perfect for what we needed. Able to park for free right outside. Milk, orange, butter, breakfast cereal, croissants, bread and biscuits left for us which was great. Would definitely recommend. Had a lot of trouble opening the gate. Tried calling the number given but it didn’t seem to work. Eventually opened it but had to leave key in the lock. When we got into the property there was another phone number which I rang and the matter was almost immediately sorted. I am sure it was a one off and they will replace the lock so it doesn’t happen again.
- Alberte (8/5): Very cute and comfy place. The location is beautiful it doesnt feel you are in the middle of london. - Some food was left in the kitchen from the owners, but milk or toast bread was missing and could have been offered as well. The location is a 10 min walk from highgate station which is quite good, the only problem I would say is if you are planning to go out in central is a bit of a treck to get back.
- Louise (10/5): Perfect stay for quiet couple - Very private. Was easy to arrange collection and drop of keys. This made it easy for us as a couple to come and go as we pleased. Accommodating and helpful. Apparentment was lovely inside. Clean and well stocked. A lot of thought and care put into making guests feel comfortable. Would definitely stay again. No. Happy with everything
- Rowena (8/5): Comfortable convenient stay near Crouch End - Comfortable enough for a couple of nights, about 15 mins from shops, breakfast provided, easy check-in. Kitchen bit is quite tiny, couldn’t use the toaster without setting off the smoke alarm
- Lavictoire (10/5): Exactly the sort of place you should stay if visiting London. - The location was awesome and it was cozy place to sleep. Some work could be put into small issues like the door to the washroom binding, or the blinds having portions missing.
- Warne (6/5): Pleasant -
- Nils (9/5): This invites repetition... - Lovely, quiet, green place with no neighbours wall to wall that could annoy you. Despite the calmness, quite centrally located. Underground station Highgate, a few groceries, cafes, restaurants, pubs and the amazing park Highgate Woods are within walking distance, reachable via the Parkland Walk - a pedestrian and cycle route.
The bed is comfortable, the shower gets warm and there is a small kitchen with two hotplates, fridge, toaster, tea kettle and a bunch of delicious little things for breakfast. The WiFi signal was a bit weak. The table provided is on the smaller side and I missed a comfy armchair for reading in the evening.
- Clare (7/5): A spacious cabin in a lovely London garden really suited us. - Nice quiet spot in good location. Good basics for breakfast provided - including fresh milk and butter. Good value for money. Very clean and good sized space. Needed a little more comfort- a comfy chair perhaps? Access to bed only on one side.
- Helen (10/5): Pleasant summer urban retreat. - Lovely location, quiet and plenty of space.
- Dagmara (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful garden, furniture, quiet neighbourhood - it was nice to come back here:)
- David (8/5): Wonderful hidden stay in London - Excellent location, privacy of the garden. Near a Tube station (15 min walk) able to park outside. Excellent breakfast provided, plenty of milk, croissants, bread, Tea and Coffee. Wonderful feeling walking to bird song surrounding us. Host was very friendly and responsive to messages. Bed location is a bit odd pushed against a wall, so a bit tricky for a couple to get in and out. Blinds are looking a bit tired, some of them broken. Property was listed as air conditioned, but could only find a fan. It was all good through. Feeling it could do with a refresh.
- Julie (8/5): Very good - Absolutely fine A TV
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Penelope (9/5): A quiet haven to retire , after a busy day out - Quiet garden setting, cosy and comfortable. Amenities good . Perfect location . Even , a beautiful vase of flowers to enjoy ! Not on bus route
- Samantha (9/5): Excellent value for money, really helpful hosts, easy to follow instructions & we’d recommend to friends & famil - Great location for us- walking distance from a couple of tube stations & Crouch End & Highgate. Situated in a pretty garden in an area which we both felt was looked after and pleasant to walk around. Everything in the property was as advertised & was clean. Hosts provided lots of breakfast options, fresh milk & juice too.
We’d happily stay again. Thank you. Property perhaps a tiny bit tired but it felt home from home to be honest.
- Wendy (8/5): Very good - Very cute place inside a huge garden. Very quiet for being this close to central London and lovely to sit on the patio in the evenings. The facilities list included aircon, but this place only has a Dyson a/c, which doesn't do much more than the average fan. Please be aware that because of the flat roof, it gets very very hot inside. However, the huge double doors make airing it out quite easy.
- Maurice (9/5): 3 nights in north London - Nice quiet location, reasonably near to Underground station.
The Studio is very clean, everything you need is provided
Even had a brief visit from the urban fox one morning! On arrival, walk to studio over wet grass wasn't ideal!
- Mark (7/5): Very much enjoyed the stay with short walks to transport, shops, Highgate village and Crouch end. - Very quiet and private location. Lovely setting in Garden backing onto school playing fields The front door was very stiff and difficult to open. The wooden blinds were slightly damaged and also difficult to open and had some gaps visible from outside the unit. There was no blind on the kitchen window, also allowing someone outside to look into the unit - so did not feel very private at night.
Breakfast was provided, but with no condiments to go with the loaf of bread (there was thoughtful array of cereals and Biscuits).
There wasn't a plug for the sink.
- Carla (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jay (9/5): Superb - Tranquil for central London
- Nina (6/5): Pleasant -
- Beth (8/5): Great place to get your head down after a gig! - 5min drive from Alexandra Palace!
Quiet private location
Clean & comfortable
Great choice of continental breakfast (or we had McDonald’s delivered) whichever is your preference
Free parking right outside the property
Would stay here again!
Thank you Amelia :) WiFi didn’t work and no television but we went out for the night so didn’t really affect us but something worth mentioning if you need either of those
- Bridget (9/5): Lovely thank you would certainly book again - I it was like being in the country instead of london very peaceful yet easy to get into centre london 15 min walk to tube . Very thoughtful to leave things for breakfast & tea 💗 The blinds wouldn’t close properly, curtains might be better .
- Yasmin (9/5): Lovely stay in a very sweet studio! - What a cute little stay! Perfect location for us as we went to a gig at Ally Pally. Host was so friendly at check in and studio was clean and had everything we could have possibly needed. Incredible breakfast choices available and the shower was so much bigger than we expected! Also very comfy pillows! I imagine in summer it would be lovely with the huge windows open looking out in to the garden. Ideal for a short stay. It’s defiantly a little strange staying in someone’s garden but it is very safe and secure. The blinds are a little dated with some gaps and cracks and the kitchen window could do with either blinds, curtains or frosted glass as is was a lil spooky at night and very bright in the morning. A wifi booster would have been fab as the connection really struggled. We also had two spiders join our stay :((
- Deborah (7/5): Cozy studio for short stay - Very quiet & private. Easy walk to Highgate station and to Crouch End More space for clothing, especially for more than one person or longer stay.
- Deborah (7/5): Cozy, quiet place to stay for a short visit. - The property is very quiet and private. The hosts are friendly and responsive. The window shutters could be so much nicer and easier to use. A comfortable chair and throw rug would be nice, as would more hangers and dishes! Not an issue for a brief stay though.
- Joseph (8/5): Very good -
- Ben (10/5): Excellent! -
- Lisa (8/5): Very good - The Studio was lovely, only downside no TV which didnt bother us as we was out most of the time. Good location though very clean and set in beautiful surroundings.
- Steven (5/5): Served a purpose but wouldn’t stay again - Property could be greatly improved. OK for one night Mattress poor, lighting leading to property poor, needed to use phone torches, needs a small tv, remove enormous pointless sideboard and move bed away from the wall and add side tables with lamps and a small sofa
- Deborah (8/5): Secluded bungalow for short stay - The location was great for us. The property was very quiet and the Info sheet was helpful. The supplied breakfast food/coffee/tea/milk greatly appreciated. Everything worked. It was simple but more than adequate. Our biggest regret is that the mattress is clearly old and quite uncomfortable. Also it would make more sense to arrange the room differently altogether to make it more useful as well as more charming. The huge piece of furniture that provides no practical purpose, for example, would be better off as a dresser so guests aren’t living out of a suitcase with no drawers or closet. Two hangers on the back of the bathroom door are not enough for more than one overnight. Still, the mattress is the primary concern.
- Dragos (10/5): Exceptional - Great location. Easy to find and easy self-checkin. Great and fast response to everything we asked. Confortable bed, easy to warmup the room in cold condition outside and they provided everything we need for a good breakfast. We can't find any reasonable reason not to comeback again!
- Emily (8/5): Very good - Having breakfast provided was really helpful as we had an early train to catch the next morning!
- Gunner (8/5): Great location! - Lovely quiet location. Easy to find. If you're staying over the weekend, you can park on the road, if not outside the main address, and it felt very safe (particularly you are a solo traveller). If you're staying overnight during the week, you can still park on the road overnight, although you'll need to move your car by 10am. We had everything we needed for an overnight stay, including plenty for breakfast and loads of biscuits, which was a nice touch. It was excellent value for money and a lot cheaper than the Premier Inn at Archway. If you're looking for something a bit different, this will fit the bill very nicely! I'd definitely stay again. Electric sockets in odd places. I had to balance the toaster on the edge of the sink because of the height of the socket and short cable on the toaster, but it was fine. No teaspoons, and it would have been nice to have a washing up bowl or a plug for the sink in the kitchenette to wash up, but these are really minor things, so it wouldn't really be fair to say that I didn't like it.
- Tania (9/5): Quirky, brilliant & good value . A 1 night escape - No teaspoons
- Nichola (8/5): Very good -
- Amy (6/5): Good value for money for location. Simple garden studio, clean and nice added touches. Would stay again for the same pur - Nice area, felt secure, had everything we needed for our one night stay. Little details were thought of such as air con, milk, butter and little touches such as those. It was a little dated and ‘grubby’ - not dirty by any means but not fresh and new.
- Dagmara (9/5): Superb - Beautiful place with amazing garden, great location, classy furniture, kind host and inventive breakfast. Problems with fridge and internet
- Calderbank (7/5): Overall, no complaints. Value for money studio in the location we wanted with parking right outside. - Breakfast was left in cupboards, as described. Plenty of cereal, muffins, pain au chocs, bread, jam, butter etc.. Also plenty of additional snacks ,such as, chocolate bars and biscuits. The kitchenette area is tired. The fridge did not work and the milk which had been left, well within its use by date, had curdled. Crockery and cutlery were poor. No sink plug, dish cloth or dish towel made washing plates messy. A minimal investment in this area would make the studio. Living area and bathroom were good.
- Greg (9/5): A treat to be able to be indoors and yet 'in the garden'! - A very quiet residential location, yet close to transport links and amenities and not as far out of central London as had been anticipated. Plenty of shops and eating places in Crouch End - 10-15 minutes' walk. It was lovely to be 'in the garden' and to be able to hear the birdsong and to be surrounded by trees. It was good to be able to sit outside of an evening. The self-catering breakfast offer was excellent and wide-ranging. The flowers in the room were a lovely bonus, as was the local information folder. There was no television - but as we don't have one at home we did not miss it! Some of the wooden venetian blinds could do with a bit of attention - one didn't hang properly at the bottom and others could not be very easily adjusted. There was no fresh fruit or yoghurt (but we did not mind). The duvet could have been swopped with a lightweight one for the summer months: we managed without it in fact and just used the duvet cover instead. Not sure about the Rolling Stones gorilla poster - it looked a bit out of place...
- Amy (10/5): Beautiful, peaceful and convenient. - The location and property were beautiful! It’s only a 15 minute walk to the tube station so that was really convenient. We really liked the ‘self check in’ as well. It was very hot but the fan provided solved that issue.
- Ros (8/5): Very enjoyable, especially looking out onto the garden. - The variety of items for the breakfast was exceptional.
Shower was very powerful. Lack of workspace to prepare meals, but I did manage okay.
- Diarmuid (9/5): Exactly what I had hoped and expected. - the Key was exactly were we were told and the key box worked a treat. It was hard to discern the number of the house from the taxi.
- Mayla (10/5): Simple, cosy, and clean, I loved it! -
- Jesse (8/5): Perfect for a short stay near Alexandra Palace and short walking distance to Tube station - Was met on arrival and given keys and shown the property by the host who was very friendly. There was a really lovely selection of breakfast items ready and waiting. The Studio was lovely and quiet located in the back garden of a residential house. It was very close to Alexandra Palace within walking distance but taxi recommended if you're in a hurry or nut up to the walk. It was a little musty smelling but we opened windows and doors and air fresheners were in the property as well. Bed was fine. The blinds could use replacing with curtains to give more privacy and the property could use some sprucing up.
- Hearn (8/5): Nice little place for a 1 night stay, my partner and I had a good nights sleep and the heater provided was amazing! - Nice area, felt very secure and safe. The people were extremely lovely and there were blinds for the glass front at night The oven was a bit scary to use as it was electric and i wasnt too sure, but we got it to work
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eriks (2/5): We advice to avoid this property - Location is ok, the owner was helpful Even though the owner of the property were really nice and helpful, we still can’t forget the fact that the property was really bad.
It was unacceptable dirty. Spider web was all around, in the bathroom, next to the bed, on the kitchen, the floor was dirty, the food storage on the kitchen was dirty as well.
Wifi barely worked, we couldn’t even use it as signal was really bad.
- Bertin (9/5): Superb - Cosy garden house in a nice and calm area, nice view in the garden with big trees, good privacy, a really nice place to relax from the crowded city. Everything we needed was there, the hosts were friendly and provided vegan alternatives for the (continental style) breakfast on request. And it's good to get to the center with the tube, after a 15 minute walk to the Station.
- Oliver (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bekki (7/5): Fantastic place in an ideal location. - The Studio was in a perfect location for a great price. Quick taxi ride to Alexandra Palace where we needed to be. Bed was comfy and perfect for a one night stay. Bathroom flooring needs a little tlc. The decking outside was very slippy. However, we warned about this prior to our stay which was much appreciated.
- Rebecca (9/5): Superb -
- Kerry (4/5): Disappointing - The surrounding area was perfect close to the tune station, restaurants and bars. For a couple of nights it was OK. The studio is actually in someone's back garden so didn't feel very private. There was no TV and the studio needed some work to it. The decking was rotting, garden could do with a bit of work too. They is a plum tree in the garden and they'd fallen off the tree and were rotten the smell was so bad. We had really bad rain on 17th and when we got back to the studio the shower had flooded and dirt came up through the pipes.
- Yvonne (8/5): Very good -
- Gow (10/5): Exceptional - It was a great space, really nice and chilled There was nothing to dislike it was a great weekend, maybe in need of a bit of TLC outside but other than that nothing.
