Guest Reviews
- John (10/5): Location - Great location. Easy access to all attractions and very convenient for alilaguna airport boat.
- Léa (5/5): Not worth the price. - The location was great, walking distance to most attractions and to a bus stop. Pretty quiet neighborhood. The bed was comfortable. The host was very nice and available. She helped us book a private boat to go to the airport. The place was not very clean. The bathroom is situated right besides the entry door and very small. It was not convenient. There is wooden beams in the shower as well. We found dead insects near the toilet, it was not great. The worst; there is a unit right above that were doing major renovation and waking us up every morning with banging. The work was so intense that chunks of the ceiling was falling everywhere in our stuff, in the bed and on the furniture. For the price we paid, we expected a whole lot better.

- Dayjavu (9/5): Great little hidden apartment - This is a lovely little apartment out of the chaos of Venice, but close enough to walk everywhere. The kitchen is fully equipped which was important for me. The bed was comfortable and the owner was wonderful with her communication. For a solo traveller it was perfect. Be aware, the stairs are short but steep. The bathroom is downstairs which could be a problem for the older traveller in need of several nocturnal toilet trips!
- Camila (8/5): Comfortable and cozy. 20 min walking distance to main locations - Coronen was helpful and always welling to help. Tha place is nice with all you need. bed comfortable. Very clean The location is fine but everything is walking at least 20 minutes. Please consider time and distance. Specially if you have mobility issues.
Noisy street difficult to rest. There is a renovation upstairs which shake the place but should be finished soon.
- Piotr (9/5): Super miejsce na poczucie klimatu Wenecji - Lokalizacja i kontakt z właścicielką Hałas na zewnątrz

- pierre alexandre (10/5): Génial merci Corinne - Super bien !
Tutti i servizi comodissimi.
- Ursula (9/5): -
- Alessandro (10/5): - Casa super accogliente, ordinata e pulita. Corinne è stata gentilissima e disponibilissima durante tutto il soggiorno.
- Andrew (10/5): Beautiful apartment! - Beautiful little apartment. Corinne checked in on us regularly to make sure we were okay and made us feel very welcome! Only slight negative is that you can hear the street behind the apartment. I emphasise slight negative as it never really impacted our stay at all!
- Amna (9/5): I had a great time in Venice! - The host was extremely helpful!! Lowkey a little scary at night if you’re alone
- Loïc (9/5): -
- Birgit (9/5): -
- Biba.mazz (9/5): Tornerei volentieri - Appartamento caratteristico, ben accessoriato e in ottima posizione: zona tranquilla ma vicino a San Zaccaria. Molto pulito
Supermercati nelle vicinanze.
Self check-in e checkout semplicissimi. Nulla
- Darren (8/5): We enjoyed our stay at Piccolo - Cozy Studio. - The apartment was clean and tidy. It is well decorated with nice personal touches. Bearing in mind that Venice is an old city and the properties are all old, we were happy with the apartment. It had everything we needed (aside from a dishcloth). Corinne the owner was also very helpful. It was in a good location with a supermarket and local stores close by. Rialto bridge is 12 mins walk, St Marks square around 10 minutes. We really enjoyed the location. There was a mildew smell when we entered the property but, it did not affect us or our stay and you cannot smell it upstairs at all. Likewise, the street outside did smell (urine) too but did not affect us. The shower and toilet are small and if you're a big guy like me, it can be a little snug. The stairs are also tight so, difficult to negotiate with suitcases.
There was quite a bit of noise at night. We had the windows shut but, still were woken a few times. Also, there is light pollution coming from a security light in the street outside. This also woke us up.
We struggled to understand the tourist tax as we had filled in an exemption form which we thought saved us from paying the tourist tax. We were under the assumption that tourists not staying in Venice at weekends did not have to pay the tourist tax? So, a better explanation would be welcome.
- Anne-charlotte (8/5): Cosy and practical 1-bedroom appartment - Corinne the owner was very helpfull and the check in and check out were very smooth.
The appartment is more a 1 bedroom than a studio, and very well organised. Location in Castello is great, close to San Marco and 10 minutes from the vaporetto to go to Murano and the airport. There is a strong humidity/mold smell as you enter the flat at the bottom of the stairs / in the bathroom due to Venice floading, but no smell upstairs in the kitchen/living room nor bedroom so it didn't bottered us too much.
- Stephen (8/5): Very good - My fiancé and I stayed here for 5 nights while we explored Venice. It is located in a residential area in Castello and so provided an escape from the hordes of people by St Mark’s Square and the Rialto bridge. It had storage for clothes, a small living room and desk, and a well-equipped kitchen (fridge, freezer, gas stove and oven, microwave, and plenty of dishes, pots and pans and utensils). A highlight of our trip was buying food at the Rialto market and other shops and cooking dinner for ourselves. A small grocery store is located below it which was convenient. The bathroom was quite small, but I suspect that is the case almost everywhere in Venice.
- Valerie (10/5): Pretty, comfortable and well-equipped apartment with a fabulous host! - The apartment felt like a home and was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped too. Corinna was in regular contact - from navigating my way there to ensuring I was happy during my stay. She was always available to assist with directions and guidance on which vaporetto to take for my sightseeing as well as any questions about the apartment. She had prepared a comprehensive booklet on different things to know - e.g. where to find things, how the garbage worked, wifi, etc, which I found helpful.
There is a small grocery store just below the apartment as well as a more comprehensive one a few minutes away. It is about a 10-15 minute walk to the San Marco square and less than that to get to multiple vaporetto stops to take you on adventures.
I found it to be more of a local (rather than tourist) area, which I appreciated, but within a couple of minutes walk you can get to a variety of restaurants or bars.
I had a great stay at Piccolo and would definitely recommend it! Because i had recently had a bad fall and had sore ankles and knees, i found going downstairs to use the bathroom a bit of a challenge. However, if you were in good shape, i don’t think it would pose a problem.
- Ryan (10/5): Exceptional - The location, the accommodation itself, and the lady were very helpful. The bathroom was a bit small
- Lubov (10/5): We would stay again here when come to Venice - The apartment is located in not-touristic area which gives possibility to really experience a local life: local grocery shop (under the apartment), local bakery and vegetables store (around the corner), smell of local food prepared by neighbors, small talks of local people...At the same time it's very close to San Marco (about 6-7 minutes), Ospedale boat station (to get from/to airport), about 15 minutes to Rialto bridge...
The apartment is warm and comfortable as well, there is everything you might need for a short stay (we stayed there for a week). The hostess is very responsive and helpful. The rooms are very nice furnished, the mattress and pillows very comfortable. We closed the shutters in bedroom and it helped us to sleep without be disturbed by streetlight (Carnival lightening is everywhere :) ) .
The apartment is exactly as on pictures, and feeling is very very nice There was nothing not to like. But there is the stairs that should be taken in consideration. The bathroom is downstairs, so it can be a little problematic for elderly people. It didn't bother us too much anyway
- Rachel (7/5): Lovely stay for exploring Venice - Great location, easy to find. Warm and cosy A little too hot at night as heating was on
- Brad (10/5): Fantastic host with a lovely space to utilize - I loved how communicative Corrine was. She definitely gives that extra care and love into her customers satisfaction. Love to see somebody so passionate about their guests! The only thing that I think would help is including the property tax in her charges, rather than having guests leave cash to cover it at the end of their stay.
- Carolyn (9/5): Superb - Great location
Christmas lights outside the bedroom windows were annoying.
- Will (9/5): Superb -
- Peggy (10/5): Exceptional - Owner was readily available and very helpful on whatsapp regarding all the questions we had, and gave us valuable info about transportation in Venice, and more. Fantastic location. We left the windows closed because of mosquitoes and it was a bit loud at night and in the morning but it's part of being in Venice.
- Richard (10/5): One of the best apartments we have stayed at in a European city. - The location was great 5 minutes walk from St Mark’s Square but in a real neighborhood. Venice can be overwhelming with crowds. It was peaceful and neighborly. It felt safe too. The apartment was charming and bigger than I thought it would be. It was clean . And it had a washing machine.
- Michelle (10/5): Lovely! - Wonderful location, away from big tourist areas but close enough to walk. Lovely large market nearby for all your needs. Including self serve wine on tap. Will definitely stay there again!
- Jamie (7/5): Good flat to use as a base for your Venetian stay - The location is in the middle of Venice - super quiet, yet super central. It was very easy to get everywhere, and we really appreciated how close to the water taxis they were. For the location alone, I added a lot of stars 😊
The hosts connected with us very responsively, and gave us all the information and documentation needed leading up to and during our stay. The flat was not very well lit, but the biggest thing was the ground level, where the bathroom was. Most of the flat is on the 1st level (you take stairs to go up) so that's no big problem, but the bathroom is a windowless space right next to the door. It is quite tiny and simple, and the muskiness of it is very, very strong. You could tell that it never gets aired out, and I was never very comfortable using it - especially after a couple days of use.
- Sasha (6/5): Pleasant -
- John (9/5): Superb - The host could hardly have been more friendly or helpful. The location was exceptional. A short walk to St Marks square but at the same time away from the crowds. Small shop right underneath. Short walk to a good size supermarket. The air-conditioning saved us from going nuts in the heatwave. small bathroom - we got used to it though.
- Aditya (10/5): The stay was cozy, comfortable and very relaxing, without worrying about any aspects. The apartment was clean and full o - The apartment was clean, cozy and as depicted in the images. The kitchen & bedroom was full of utlities, and the self check in was smooth. The location was far from main waterbus & vaporetto stations however it was walkable distance from supermarket.
- Hailey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elif (9/5): Superb - The location was really good. Corinne was always always available whenever we need help. She is incredibly well prepared and help you for every need you may have. Corinne was really helpful on how to reach out to the house and she sent us a well prepared instructions. If you have a big luggage, you may have difficulty to carry it to upstairs. But this was our fault to travel to venice with two huge luggages.
- Hazel (8/5): Very good -
- Elizabeth (8/5): Ideal stay over if visiting the Biennale - Great location, great communication, very cosy on arrival & throughout our stay. Perfect for a couple. Only the pillows! The bed was very comfortable & the apartment was in a quiet location
- Darina1988 (9/5): Very nice apartment with good location. - Very nice apartment, very clean, good location and very nice owner. Noisy at night. Mosquitoes when you open a window
- Mike (9/5): Superb -
- Dolly (9/5): We had a wonderful stay and Corinne the host was always available to answer any of our questions which was awesome! A g - The location was perfect and quiet. Nice space with kitchen/dining area and living room. Separate bedroom and comfortable bed.
- Marcus (10/5): Exceptional - Super comfortable, great host, great location, clean and generally perfect. It had all the amenities you need. Highly recommended!!
- Natasa (10/5): Exceptional - Great location and really cute flat. Our stay was very pleasant and Corinne was of a great help!
- Cory (10/5): Fantastic cozy little studio within walking distance of many attractions in Florence - This studio was so cozy and reminded me of a place I used to live in years ago. The host was beyond accommodating and was very responsive when we had any questions. It is extremely convenient and is within walking distance of a lot of wonderful things to see. My wife and I felt so cozy and relaxed when we weren't out exploring the city. If I ever go to Venice again I will most definitely look into staying here! N/A
- Jenna (9/5): Superb -
- Alberto (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mazliza (10/5): Beautiful stay at a beautiful city - Cosy and clean. Good location -
- Una (9/5): great location -
- Kirsty (9/5): Superb - Beautiful apartment in a picturesque area close to everything.
We loved the experience of hanging our washing out the window, and the speaker was an added bonus. There is nothing we didn't like.
- Marina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anthony (10/5): Perfect place to stay to visit Venice - Very nice and cosy place to enjoy Venice. Very well located and the communication with the host was super easy and useful.
- Sergey (10/5): Nice place with a separate entrance from old narrow street - - Quiet location from which it's easy to get everywhere in Venice.
- It feels good to be in the apartment (many cool little details)
- A seperate entrance (!) from a narrow Venetian street. People roaming and talking in the street at night under the window of the bedroom. Maybe that's the thing in all the city, however.
- Tiberiu (9/5): A nice, well-stocked apartment within walking distance from a lot of the action in Venice - We had a good time staying here for our short Venice trip. Corinne was very responsive and communicated well, sending relevant information as needed.
The apartment was clean, and a good size, with bathroom downstairs, then upstairs a combined kitchen+living room, and a spacious bedroom. There's lots of storage space in the closets and the kitchen seems fully stocked (though we haven't used it beyond drinking water).
There is air conditioning, and it works well. It collects water internally so guests need to drain it about once a day, but it's easy and fast.
The apartment is close (6-minute walk) to the Ospedale and F.te Nove vaporetto stops (can use these to travel to and from the airport, and to go to nearby Murano and Burano) and about 15 minutes walk to Piazza San Marco. The apartment door is a bit quirky—after you unlock, you need to push it in, then turn the key some more for the latch to release, then pull the door while you keep turning the key. Once you know what to do, it's easy, but this wasn't in the information that Corinne sent initially and we were freaking out for a few minutes when we got there late at night and weren't sure we'd be able to enter the apartment.
Another minor annoyance is that the bedroom windows only had thin, lace curtains, which can made it harder to fall asleep, especially because there is some automated street lighting just outside those windows which turns on when people pass by. (And they do tend to pass by even as late as midnight!) Corinne did say she'd install thicker curtains though.
- Nadia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lori (9/5): Superb - We really liked the location. It is out of the main tourist area but accessible to everything via walking or vaporetta. The cozy apt is exactly as the photos convey. One thing to know is the bathroom is down the stairs. Not an issue unless you get up alot during the night. Corinne as others mentioned was great in communicating and making sure all was good. Supermarket is close by. All in all a most perfect place The air con is good but does need to be drained once or twice a day. Not an issue and it's easy to do, there are instructions but good to know since we had problems getting it started. We could have used one more kitchen towel
- Alanagh (9/5): It really w3as as described COZY!!! - Overall the stay was great, the apartment really is as advertised, very cosy! We had such great sleeps each night, and the host was always around to help with anything we needed including extending our check out time when we had delays.
The location was so great! A short walk from the port San Zaccaria which is basically in the heart of Venice, right next to San Marks Square so that was really great - it meant everything was so close. There is a lovely supermarket about 4 mins walk from the property, so we got food here for breakfast and had breakfast in the apartment each morning as it was equipped with all necessary cups/plates etc. The apartment had both zircon and a fan which was so needed in the heat and we were very grateful to have!
We were sent documents with all necessary instructions on the day of our arrival which was helpful although it was still a little difficult to find where exactly the property was. I think it would be better having these documents a day or two ahead of the stay, as when on holiday the travelling there can be stressful enough and not everyone of us had data/internet to be able to access them. The only downside for us was that the front door was very hard to open! The key needed a large strength and force to unlatch each time and when your going back, late at night in the pitch black, it would take us a good 10 minutes before one of us was able to open it. This is the only thing I can comment on, the rest was wonderful and we would go back again!
- Mandy (9/5): Superb - Cosy comfortable apartment ❤️
- Deyaa (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was perfect, we stayed for 3 nights with a great interest from the host to check our comfort from time to time, studio is well equiped, will be definitely our destination next time.
- Natalya (10/5): Exceptional - Close to S.Marco, very clean, Corinne was very helpful.
- Jessica (9/5): Charming, comfortable apartment and a great value for the money. - Nice little apartment in a quiet neighborhood away from most tourists. Air conditioning worked great. Appreciated the kettle to make coffee. We didn’t use the kitchen much but it was nicely equipped. The towels are at the end of their lifespan - as is the couch. Google maps had trouble finding the address but dropping a pin after we arrived helped.
- Lourens (10/5): Exceptional - good location
- Vadym (10/5): Exceptional - We stayed for 3 nights and we were totally in love with this studio. It has warm and cozy interior, where each detail of our stay there was considered. We could prepare true Italian coffee in the morning having radio with calmed music on background. Not to mention pretty convenient location and all necessary shops nearby.
The owner of the apartment was also incredibly welcoming and accommodating, ensuring that we had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. From providing local recommendations for restaurants to ensuring that the apartment was clean and well-stocked with essentials, their attention to detail and friendly hospitality was truly exceptional.
Overall, we would highly recommend this cozy and charming studio to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient base from which to explore the beautiful city of Venice.
- Tatiana (10/5): Wanna come back again! - Loved this place. Pretty good equipped, stylish, warm and comfortable both for the short or long stay. Kitchen has everything that you need: even toaster and microwave. Also it’s located close to supermarkets, waterbus stations and city centre. The host is super nice and friendly, she even asked if I’m ok with the heater shedule
- Vahan (9/5): will book again. - Clean and cozy place to stay. the character of the place and the location.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (10/5): Our stay was superb, with this property offered us the perfect place to retire to following our trips around the city. - This property is a perfect mix of authentic Venice, comfort, and convenience. Hidden away in a perfect Venetian neighborhood. Yet, it’s close to San Marco, and vaporetto stops. We could not find any fault with this beautiful apartment.
- Samuel (10/5): I loved it 💕 - The place is beautiful, the perfect location, I loved everything, I really recommend it to the fullest, I hope you come back soon. really didn't like anything that maybe it's not even in the center because I was walking on the streets that weren't beautiful
- Sanchari (9/5): Superb -
- Thomas (9/5): Superb -
- Ievgen (10/5): Very good location with a supermarket nearby and St.Zaccaria church within 5 min!!! - Location and excellent hosts!
- Fiona (8/5): Cozy Venetian hideaway. - cosy and centrally located between busy and quiet area of Venice. Nice and bright. comfy bed. a bit tricky to find but instructions were good.
- Titouan (9/5): Superb -
- Maja (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joseph (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pamela (7/5): Good -
- Zach (10/5): Exceptional -
- Martin (10/5): Great couple of nights in great apartment! Host was SUPER helpful!!! - great location. easy walk to popular attractions, but far enough away to be wonderfully quite and out of the crowds. nothing.
- Carolyn (9/5): it was sweet but too short. - cute, well furnished and decorated, clean. it has flair bed is comfortable, and it’s very private. Corinne, the owner, was super helpful and provided good directions in this complicated maze of a city that can be challenging for newcomers. te staircase is narrow and a bit difficult for older travelers. for most younger people, it would not be a problem.
