• Sofya (10/5): - Very spacious apartment located just 2 minutes from the station! 20 minutes from San Marco, walking distance from all the main attractions. Although being located in the busy street, it is very calm and not noisy at all! FYI no elevator, but this is not a problem Liked everything

• Michaela (7/5): - Really enjoyed the central location and that the apartment was really quiet. We also enjoyed the gas stove and the use of a washing machine. The bed was uncomfortable and a bit worn out. The shower head was also not that great. For our stay, insufficient toilet paper was provided. It was fairly uncomfortable to get rid of the garbage at the end of the stay, as there are no garbage bins located directly at the apartment but rather in the neighborhood and only on certain days. That makes it for a guest very inconvenient and unpleasant.

• Divya (10/5): Fantastic place, fantastic location - The host Berto was very communicative right since I made beginning. I got all the needed information prior to my trip and the he was very responsive during my stay as well. On the 3rd day of my stay I noticed that the kitchen cabinet sheet had peeled off. I thought it was because of the steam since I had made soup the previous night ( I didnt cook the first two days of my stay) . I reported it to Berto immediately and he was honest that it wasnt me and that it was already there. The check in - check out process was really smooth as well. Has all the facilities and clear instructions available in the apartment itself. The apartment came with a dishwasher and washing machine and all the basic needs. My stay was extremely comfortable and I would highly recommend Berto's apartment to anyone visiting Venice. Nothing that I didnt like at all! I highly recommend Berto's apartment

• Vadym (7/5): Good and covenient appartment with a minor ventilation problem - Very convenient location The appartment on the photo looked bigger - it wasn't actually any problem, just felt the difference. Ventilation isn't sufficient, so when it's cold outside opening the window isn't a good option.

A falakon elnyomott rovarok maradványai elég gusztustalan látványt nyújtottak.A penész a fürdőszobában a mennyezeten és a zuhanyajtó pereménél.Megfelelő tisztítással eltávolítható lenne!A foltos kanapéhuzat.A bútorkárpitok bizonytalan tisztasága.

• mark (5/5): Bottom Line: While the location is excellent and the apartment is functional for a short stay, the condition and comfort - Pros: Excellent location – Less than a 5-minute walk from the train station, even with luggage. Easy check-in – Touchless, quick, and efficient. Adequate space – Apartment and bathroom are reasonably sized for two people. Cons: Six flights of stairs – As disclosed, there’s no elevator. Be prepared to carry luggage up and down. It’s a serious workout. Outdated condition – The apartment does not match the photos shown online; it’s in need of general maintenance and care. Poor ventilation – While the A/C works and cools the space, it does not remove humidity. Clothes we washed remained damp after 48+ hours inside. Persistent moisture – Clothing, towels, and even the bed linens felt damp in the evenings. Mold issues – Mold was visible in the shower threshold and above the kitchen cabinets (see photos). Signs of water damage – Water stains and paint over ceiling damage were visible. The owner said repairs were “in progress.” Water leak from washing machine – Water leaked from the lower kitchen cabinets when we did laundry. Owner claimed they couldn’t replicate the issue after our stay. Shower drainage problem – The shower drained so slowly that water pooled within minutes and overflowed the base. I reported it, and while the owner offered to fix it during our stay, I asked them to wait until we checked out to avoid disruption. Lack of privacy & natural light – Opening the interior shutters exposes the apartment directly to a neighbor’s patio only about 10 feet away. No resolution from owner – While the owner acknowledged the issues and responded, no refund, discount, or meaningful resolution was offered—only excuses. Booking.com will not allow me to upload the video that we took of the shower drain problem, however the owners were provided this and more pictures via their preferred communication path of “what’s app”

• Arbury (7/5): Nice place in a very convenient location - The location near the train station was great and directly above a cafe and good gelato, restaurants, pharmacy and supermarket close by as well as the main starting dock for the water buses. Good sized living space and bathroom. No elevator. It’s on the third floor so 6 sets of stairs. Not a dealbreaker but something to be aware of if there are mobility challenges.
• Zamin (10/5): Excellent stay. - Great location. Very quiet. Clean, fresh, modern. Owner had registration very organized and simple. Owner had great info on how to use all amenities in apartment. Owner was very responsive (and quick) to questions. It is on the top floor, 80 stairs (I counted them), every time we arrived, or left, or took out the garbage.

• Alexandru (4/5): Pictures don't match the reality - The location is good. It's near the train station, on one of the main streets. If you follow the street you get straight to Rialto and then San Marco. It is though about 2km away so it can be tiring at the end of the day, also 3 flights of stairs await you when you enter the building. At street level there is a perfect pasticeria with awesome pastries and coffee (they also have cow lactose free milk). And a convenience store is about 30m away. Although the pictures reflect what you can find in the apartment,they don't show what else you can find. There are water infiltrations in the bedroom and kitchen/living area. It was to be expected from an old building, but there is also black mold, especially in the bathroom. The walls need a fresh coat of paint as they are a bit dirty and with marks of wear and tear from people who did not took care moving things around. The biggest issue i have is that the blanket that was on the bed was filled with dust, so much that when i tossed my phone on the bed a dust cloud formed, you can see in the picture dust on my phone charger. We found some clean ones and changed it but still, not something you want to find, especially at 160euro/night. Contacted the owner but said he didn't see anything wrong and offered us a 10 euro discount and a bottle of wine. Also, it's not specified in the description but you are asked to provide over whatsapp pictures of everyones IDs, even though it is not compliant with EU GDPR law.

The hosts were incredibly helpful, going above and beyond to assist with all our inquiries. The apartment building does not have a lift, so be prepared to carry your luggage up 3 levels of stairs.

• Coral (10/5): Exceptional - Very close to train station. Very easy to find and host was extremely detailed and responsive making the check-in process was very easy. Bed was comfortable. The shower was very nice. Be prepared for lots of stairs if that's something thats difficult for you, but I did not mind. Despite being on a busy street it was very quiet. Washer had built in dryer which was very nice. No complaints
• Nils (9/5): excellent experience in centrally located apartment - Ca'Berto offers a very attractive deal. Very centrally located yet utterly quiet, basic yet comfortable, it leaves nothing to be desired. A supermarket is just a few steps away, as are the railway station, the bus terminal and the vaporetto water bus stops. The apartment furnishes everything you need, the couch can be turned into another bed and you can cook or bake in case you want to stay in. I was a bit apprehensive about the heating in February but I needn't have worried. Best of all, the hosts had a whatsapp group for us which made the self check-in easy and all our questions were efficiently and kindly answered. Great experience ! Can't think of anything. I don't want to think too much about us having in fact contributed to the housing shortage in Venice...which has made us, the tourists, the problem....
• Cathryn (7/5): Two nights in Venice - Location was great... once you climb over the bridge stairs and then climb up another 4 flights of stairs to enter the rental suite. I recommend Travel light if you are booking here. Kitchen well equipped; bathroom lovely. Great bakery/cafe below to start the morning. The stairs were ok for us but many others might find the location and stair climbing exhausting or restrictive. The Sofa looked a bit dated/stained. Our SIM card wasn't working so our check in was very problematic.
• Chelsea (10/5): great stay - - Close to train station and water bus stop - Close to groceries/convenience stores - Didnt have to meet up with someone to check in or get keys - Easy and fast communication with the hosts. They have good check in instructions and are generally very helpful - Two ACs in the apartment - The washing machine is great! I was afraid that the clothes might take a long time to dry because they don't have a dedicated dryer. But the washing machine has a built-in dryer already. It does take time for the whole process to finish but I think that's a european washer thing. - Modern and spacious inside - Their hair dryer is pretty powerful. I appreciate this because usually hosts have cheap and weak hair dryers. - They have venetian blinds that shuts out light and noise. The only problem is sometimes there's a random beeping sound that starts early in the morning. Maybe it comes from the businesses downstairs? Can't say where it's from but this isn't the property's fault. It's just part of being able to stay in a convenient area. - Top floor so no banging or noise from neighbors - Great value for the price - Didn't run out of hot water - lots of plug sockets Other - We didn't use any of the kitchen besides some utensils so cant say much about it - We did not know trash disposal was every day but host was was kind and understandable that we were not aware of the rules - Apartment is on the top floor with six flights of stairs
• Shanegregory (9/5): We had a very enjoyable stay, but would have appreciated being greeted by the host. - The apartment was clean and modern with good facilities. The location was really good for us, a short walk from the railway station and easy access to the Vaporetto station. Plenty of eating options around and some good recommendations from the host. The hosts were very much at arms length - we didn't se them at all. Nobody met us to show us the features of the apartment or how appliances worked (would have been useful as the controls are obviously in Italian). Once we arrived at the apartment building we had to message the hosts who then sent photos, with instructions on how to get inside.

Good laundry facility , pleasant owners reasonable price The stairs, no drain board for dish, no safety bar in shower, no place in shower to put soaps , small shower difficult to pick up things went they drop, long walking distance to San Marco and realto bridge
• Sharon (9/5): We would certainly book this property again. - Location was excellent, only a few minutes from the train station and water taxis. It was a busy street with lots of shops but the apartment was extremely quiet. It had everything we needed for a great stay in Venice and we would highly recommend this property. Access to the apartment was smooth and efficient. Apartment was on the 4th floor so if you don't like steps this would not be for you.

On a busy street, but not noisy at all because it is on the 3rd level and on the quiet side of the building. Great restaurants, cafes, and shops around. Excellent facilities as described (fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, air conditioner).

The location is fantastic - just a few minutes walk from the train station, and about 5 or so minutes walk to the express airport busses. Obviously quite touristy in the immediate vicinity, but you can get anywhere within about 30 minutes. The apartment itself has everything you need, and was very comfortable. We were surprised how quiet it was inside! Body wash would be nice.
