It is ideally located with easy access from the stations and within a short walking distance to many major attractions The host was amazing and extremely helpful with our needs. I couldn't recommend it enough. I will be back :)
• Maria Belen (9/5): Un sitio muy bueno en un lugar maravilloso. - El apartamento es estupendo, muy bien ubicado y la anfitriona encantadora y muy amable. Las habitaciones son muy amplias y acogedoras. La calefacción funciona genial, cuando llegamos la casa estaba calentita y fue muy de agradecer. La cocina tenía lo suficiente para apañarnos y los dos baños funcionaban bien, si te todo cuando vas con grupos grandes. Tenía muchos detalles para familias, como trona, reductor para el WC, lápices para los niños... Y un salón amplio. Una cafetera XXL sería genial, nos encantó el café de allí. La única pega que puedo poner son las escaleras, pero como en todos los apartamentos del centro de Venecia, ya que la mayoría no pueden tener ascensor. Es verdad que lo avisan en la descripción del apartamento y está muy claro. Para nosotros (en torno a los 50 años) no fue problema subirlas, ni tampoco subir las maletas porque sólo las subes una vez. Pero íbamos con una persona mayor (más de 70 años) y para ella sí que fue un reto, porque son escalones altos y estrechos y son muchos. No lo recomiendo para personas mayores pero sí lo recomiendo para cualquier otro caso porque está genial en cuanto a instalaciones, atención y sitio.

• Coralie (10/5): Magnifique séjour à Venise en famille à San Luca . - On a adoré l ´ emplacement, l appartement aussi très agréable , très jolie et très spacieux et Federica une hôtesse très très sympathique que j ai beaucoup apprécié. Les petits points négatifs les escaliers et les pommeaux de douche sans pression dans les salles de bains.

The host went out of her way to accommodate our group with early access to the location when we advised her we'd be arriving before that scheduled check-in time. We were a group of 7 and had more than enough space, along with a spacious living room and lil kitchen with a washer machine and mocha pot that came in handy for those espresso cravings. I would highly recommend this location for large groups. The stairs, but if you aren't going up stairs did you really visit Venice?

• Sara (8/5): Perfecto apartamento para disfrutar en familia - El alojamiento es grande. Fuimos 5 adultos y 2 niños y estuvimos muy cómodos. Tiene dos lavabos grandes y tres habitaciones. Tenía de todo y estaba limpio. Muy bien ubicado. Me gustó todo
• Robert (10/5): Its a spacious apartment in a great location that provided much needed space for a family of 6. - The rooms were very spacious; each being able to accommodate 2-3 people. The living room was spacious as well. The kitchen had a washing machine (clothes) so it was convenient to be able to do laundry during a longer vacation. It was a short walk to the Rialto Bridge, so it made walking to anywhere you wanted to go in Venice manageable. The A/C in each room worked great too. There are two bathrooms so it was easy for a group of people to get ready at the same time. I can not think of anything that I did not like personally, but the apartment is on an upper floor so the stairs may be a challenge for older people. I am 55 and did not have any trouble with the stairs.

• Thomas (4/5): Host is not a professional. - De locatie. De houding van de manager, Federica, was niet professioneel. Toen wij bij inchecken aangaven dat wij liever geen kopie van ons paspoort wilden afgeven deed ze plotseling heel onaardig. Zelfs toen wij haar een italiaanse vertaling lieten zien dat de overheid een volledige kopie afgeven afraad ivm mogelijke identiteitsfraude bleef ze hiertegen resoluut ageren ipv begrip te tonen.
• Luis Juncá (9/5): - La ubicación es excepcional y el apartamento es muy cómodo y muy grande el aire acondicionado las tres habitaciones es fundamental y muy bueno Tienen que arreglar una mampara de una ducha que está rota y es un tercero sin ascensor con escaleras empinadas. para nosotros no supuso problema

• Pablo (10/5): Acogedor apartamento cerca de la plaza de San Marcos - Bien ubicado, cerca de la plaza de San Marcos. Muy bonito, las habitaciones cómodas, bastante equipado, cuenta con aire acondicionado y Federica bastante maja al recibirnos. Una opción recomendable para un grupo numeroso. A tener en cuenta que está en un tercero sin ascensor, aunque afortunadamente no supuso un gran problema para nosotros.
• Wendy (8/5): Very good - Host had a person meet us at the agreed upon location and time. She took us into the unit and went through various aspects of the unit, including how to operate the AC units in the bedrooms and it had WiFi. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were updated and nice. The bedrooms were all quite large. The location was very good! Grocery store close by, very close to Rialto Bridge, restaurants and shops very near it. About a 10 minute walk to San Marco Basilica. We happened to be there when it was mid-90 degree F. The bedrooms had AC, but none of the other rooms. It was so hot in the living/dining room(couldn't even really sit in there in the evenings as it was too hot), bathrooms and kitchen. Now, this temperature may not be normal for Venice, but if it continues this way I would suggest adding an AC unit to the living/dining area. Very steep set of 48 stairs to climb to get to it.

• Richard (10/5): Exceptional - Ideal location. Clean spacious apartment with all necessary facilities. Personally no problem with the 49 steps to the door but might not suit everybody. Water pressure not great but for me not a big issue.

• Antanas (9/5): Superb - Quite authentic furniture and a lovely feel of Venice. Really good value for the price. Facilities good. The owner is a guide so if she is available recommend ordering a tour in town. Also for breakfast we went to the fish market to get fresh fish. It's closer than it looks. And recommend a bakery one block away. Great place all round.

• Kathleen (7/5): Fabulous location a stroll away from Rialto bridge and main shopping - Brilliant location and so impressed with host who was readily available for recommendations and questions. They were friendly - couldn’t have asked for anyone better. Not that we needed it but there was no oven or toaster and kitchen a bit small for larger parties who may want to eat at home.

• 菲天 (7/5): Good - The geographical location is good. It is very close to the dock and St. Mark's Square. The apartment is on the third floor. There is no elevator. If you have large luggage or inconvenience with your legs, you should consider it. In addition, due to the relatively old apartment, the bathroom smell is very strong.

• Lauren (9/5): Excellent location and fantastic host! - Spacious bedrooms and living area, location was excellent, only a stone’s throw from the Rialto Bridge and close to shops, pasticceria, supermarket, etc. Our host Francesco was incredibly helpful with arranging restaurant bookings, taxi’s, info on the area, and we had a great night out with him and his gondolier friends too! Kitchen is a little under equipped for the number of people the apartment sleeps, likewise with seating in the living area. A lot of stairs to get up so tricking moving luggage.

• Michele (4/5): Disappointing - It was spacious, loved that it had 2 full baths and loved the location. We chose this place because it had air conditioning but the air conditioners do not work properly-the rooms were very hot and difficult to sleep. The walk up three flights of steps was difficult and my son fell down the steps-one set was very slippery.

• Mark (8/5): Overall, San Luca 1836 made it a great stay. Location was awesome, as was the host, Federica. - The location is great. Close to the Rialto Bridge and Piazza San Marco. A lot of cafes and restaurants and a grocery nearby. Federica was easy to communicate with and had plenty of great restaurant recommendations. The stairs were pretty steep and it was quite a climb especially if you have big luggage or small kids. Not a big deal, but the lighting on the stairs has a timer, and would be great if it stays on longer or is mentioned somewhere so it doesn't come as a surprise.

• Iterd (8/5): Very good - Location is wonderful: 2 minutes stroll to the Grand Canal, 4 minutes to Rialto Bridge, 5 minutes to Piazza San Marco both day and night. Shops, restaurants, supermarkets in the vicinity...enough said.

• Nina (9/5): Superb - Location was excellent, 5/10 minutes walk away from St Marks Square and Rialto Bridge. Would definitley recommand the apartment clean, two bathrooms lovely kitchen with washing machine also had tea, coffee and breakfast cereal if required, but there where plenty of local cafes nearby. Could of done with more pillows and towels !! Some of the beds could be up dated as they where a bit bumpy, lumpy sorry. Other then that we where very pleased to have stayed at San Luca 1836
• Marcia (8/5): Very good - The property is located right in the heart of Venice and only a quick walk to St Marks Square. Rooms were spacious for our group of seven. Federica was a great host meeting us and giving awesome recommendations. One thing to note is that the place is located on a third floor, very steep stairs. The air conditioning in one of the rooms did not work properly.
