• Gillian (6/5): Sydney, great location, but.... - Location was excellent and host was friendly and attentive. Bed was big enough and comfy. Bathroom was fine. You need to be fit though as there are a lot of steps to get to your room, which gives the views on the way up, but none from your actual room. On the surface the accommodation seemed fine, but in reality it's pretty tired and needs refurbishment. It also needs a really good deep clean.
• Timothy (8/5): Comfortable & ideal for a short stay - Location is in a quiet residential neighbourhood with easy on street parking. Michael, the host was extremely accommodating and keen to please. The accommodation is accessed via 57 steps - so not appropriate for anyone with mobility issues.

• Helen M (8/5): Physically challenging but overall an enjoyable stay - Breakfast was not included. There was a comfortable futon bed. However, not easy to get on or out of for a guest my age. The host was very hospitable and generous. The blind over the only entry door had to be drawn to ensure privacy which meant I had a mild sense of claustrophobia. Not ideal for me. The access to the unit was via 50odd steep steps. There was also a rail carriage but that was not encouraged.

• Sophie (10/5): Exceptional - Michael was a lovely host - the room had everything and more you could need with the little kitchenette. Comfy bed, clean space, nice view at the top of the hill. 15 minute walk to the beach. Thank you so much for having us - we had a lovely time!

• Rosanna (8/5): For a relaxing getaway, it's definitely worth staying at Bondi Lockdown Retreat. - Lovely location, beautiful views and modern home. Friendly and respectable hosts and it was a quiet, peaceful room. The beach is a short walk away. Restaurants are amazing. I found car parking on the street everyday with no issue. The bed and pillows were comfy, air con was awesome and the coffee machine was very useful for me in the mornings. The cost for the stay was very affordable given the beautiful location and proximity to everything. The cleanliness of the room was okay. I took my shoes off and noticed the floor was sandy and had visible hairs in the bedroom and shower on arrival from previous woman. Michael offered to have the room cleaned again by the cleaner and apologised, but I preferred to clean these few things myself.

• Hannah (10/5): very cosy room with an amazing view just around the corner, perfect to come back to after exploring Bondi beach! - the best thing about this Airbnb was Michael! he was so accomodating for my friend and I and made sure we had everything we would ever need for our stay. the room was very cosy, just right to relax at the end of the day! there is nothing that we didn’t like about the property personally! however I would say that the steps to the property might be hard for some people to go up and down, but obviously that is not something that can be changed, but just for future people staying to know :)

And second the apartment itself, very cozy and clean, and in an incredible location. It had everything we needed, it was even better than in the pictures.
