Etwas abgelegen.
- Dominik (10/5): - Big comfortable and great house it self. Plus great owner . Great for a short airport stay dolphin public beach is close with uber . We had a great stay .Nothing! Maybe a bit in a non turi area so be prepeard to use uber cars. Lot of mosqitos but there is bug spray and the rooms have ac and fan.

- Nicolas (7/5): Interesting property close to the airport, too hot/heavy of sheets, rough roads to get there - Nice and close to the airport, nice to be up in the trees, Arturo was nice and helpful, good price! The roads to get to the casa are really bad (filled with craters), and the sheets were heavier and didn’t breathe (we were on the top floor and it was really hot at night).
- Lach-Aidelbaum (10/5): Beautiful hidden museum surrounded by critters in the jungle garden - Arturo’s beautiful art made from recycled materials dispersed throughout the property, the capybaras in the jungle garden, the delicious food made by Arturo, and his stunning collection of artefacts.
- Daniel (10/5): - Excellent water pressure in the shower
Effective mosquito protection
Extremely welcoming and generous host

- Marie-Line (10/5): - The host was absolutely amazing! We arrived in a rush, very stressed out and late, with my baby and boyfriend newly in clutches, and he helped us unpack the car and relax right away with his happy and caring vibe. The garden is so cute and full of amazing plants, and the studio felt like it was decorated with love and unique art from the host.
We stayed for one night in a private studio, with 2 beds, a kitchenette and a bathroom, we were very comfortable and its all we needed to transition to the next adventure! Thank you so much!
Gracias Arturo!
- Sophie (10/5): Peaceful Natural Paradise - Beautiful place of calm and tranquillity. The wash basins with taps made out of giant conch shells was the sweetest thing for me. I slept soundly and calmly. My apartment was lovely and spacious. It's a truly special place. I highly recommend taking the airport transfer recommended by the Arturo the guest house owner. I took a random taxi outside the airport and was scammed $1000. Next time I will stay in Cancun I will be very happy to stay here again and go with the taxi recommendation from Arturo the host. The place is very special and peaceful. Arturo was very helpful providing me with everything I needed for my stay, and communication was great. Remember to bring cash for your stay as it is a taxi ride to the nearest cash machine so better to bring pesos with you to pay for the very affordable and lovely accommodation! :)
- Jeffrey (1/5): Don't stay here - Nothing Hosr demanded cash payment in Euros, US dollars or pesos the day of the booking even though booking.com app stated that payment must be made beforen arrival. Poor communication with host.
- Romina (8/5): -
Charmerende bolig og frodig have.
- Katerina (10/5): - Everything was perfect!

- Soo hyun (7/5): Beautifully crafted property! - The host personally greeted us. The property was very sophisticated and beautifully crafted. It was also very close to the airport. The cleaning could be improved. The beddings will need to be cleaner & replaced. A major deep cleaning will significantly improve the quality of this property as it has a very sophisticated architecture.
- Carlos Omar (8/5): -
- Leah (8/5): -
- Andrea Mirko (10/5): - Struttura molto carina e pulita, l’host è gentilissimo e disponibile
- Nolin (10/5): Comfortable place - Very nice people the place is top clean room size great and more. Just a bit away from from restaurants that's it.
- Dave (10/5): -
- Holly (10/5): Art gallery home in the jungle - The host is an artist that upcycles just about anything to create art. You will see mosaics, sculptures, and ceramic abstracts. His paintings, seen throughout the property are of exquisite quality. BE SURE to ask about his connecting canvas paintings! Also, I appreciated his mission to reduce carbon footprint. Outside, the jungle is lush and full of birds. It was a $150 peso uber ride to airport. I had spent over a month in Yukatan and this was one of my only hot showers- a bonus! Staying at Casa del Arquitecto was a great way to end my trip. The nighttime got a little cold, but I just used my towels on the bed over the sheets, that was fine.
- Sandy Ayala (1/5): - Nada.
- Mauricio (9/5): -
- Danielle (9/5): Handmade and personal - I loved the hanmade touches to the accommodation. It is made with love. The host was so lovely and personable. The highlight was the shated dinner he cooked for us. Nothing
- Estrella (9/5): -
- Kinneret (10/5): Beautiful designs, rooms and place. Amazing host. - We wanted to book a place that is cheep and close to the airport. We arrived and it was probably the best guesthouse we’ve ever been to.
Arthoro, the host, made us an amazing dinner and drank with us Coffe at the morning. The whole place is made from recycled material that he takes and makes into the most beautiful artwork and designs. Can’t recommend this place enough! Will definitely be back.
- Jan (10/5): -
- leigh (10/5): - The peaceful location and surrounding nature
- Manuel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lauren (9/5): Superb - Nice owner, quiet and private place with the sound of the birds in the morning. We appreciated to stay there one night not far from the airport. It could be cleaner especially in the kitchen.
- Juan (10/5): I recommend it very much. Good value for your money. - The house was surrounded by nature and the room was big snd clean and the owner very nice and helpful.
- Eva (10/5): Exceptional - This is a lovely space to stay - beautiful and peaceful. Arturo is a wonderful and personable host. He showed us his beautiful artwork, made us coffee and showed us how to feed the capybaras that live in the garden. Would 100% recommend to anyone. Thank you!
- Juanita (10/5): Exceptional - Very comfortable bed! Had a great sleep!
- Cristina (8/5): A comfortable stay in a very unique and charming house. - The feeling of the house! It’s beautiful and unique!
The owner really takes the time to be a host and is very passionate about art. The breakfast became a wonderful art lecture My room wasn’t very clean. The floor was very dirty. And there was a room across from mine that was just like storage, but it was messy - it could have been closed.
- Lisandra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nazampreet (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hakan (10/5): Exceptional - The place gives a feeling like you are staying in an art gallery or a museum. An unmatched experience. The access is quite bumpy.
- Alexandra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jacqueline (10/5): Exceptional - A Hidden Gem in Cancun – Artistic, Eco-Friendly, and Full of Heart
This accommodation near Cancun Airport is, without a doubt, my favorite place out of the 10 places we stayed at during our trip. It’s not just a place to stay—it's an experience. The entire property is designed with incredible attention to detail, love, and impeccable taste, making the space feel warm and unique.
What truly sets this place apart is its eco-friendly ethos. Almost everything is handmade by the owner, who is an absolutely lovely person. Their passion and care shine through in every corner of the property, from the artistic decor to the sustainable practices.
Although we only stayed for one night at a time (as a jump-off to the airport or the starting point for our tour), I always found myself wishing we had more time here. It’s far from the hustle of Cancun’s touristy areas, which makes it the perfect spot for anyone who loves art and wants a peaceful, unique stay.
The property is surrounded by lush plants, and if you’re lucky, you might spot some wildlife! There’s one wild animal in particular that I believe is native to Mexico—it was such a delight to observe.
In summary, this place is a treasure. I can wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a tranquil, artistic retreat close to the airport yet not far from the center. I can’t wait to return and hopefully stay longer next time!

- Juan (8/5): Beautiful space in nature. Not the most accessible neighborhood - Beautiful garden with wildlife. Ample space. Owner of the property is kind and helpful. Neighborhood is dark at night and a lot of streets are unpaved.
- Gerardo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gawie (8/5): Very good - The owner was really informative and helpful.
- Luke (8/5): Very good -
- Happytraveler8753 (10/5): Exceptional - Arturo was a delightful host. Room has an artful and rustic atmosphere. Be sure to ask about organizing a ride from the airport to his place as is in a remote area, and you will not get ripped off by taxi from the airport. Perfect place for an overnight transfer that is close to the airport.
- Oleksii (8/5): Very good -
- Justin (10/5): Exceptional - the architectural are & the jungle vibe. mosquitoes during rainy season
- Daisy (10/5): Exceptional - the owner was extremely welcoming and was available to help 24/7. the property is private and beautiful - there were even turtle’s and sereque’s in the garden! everything we could possibly need was provided (e.g. towels, toiletries, kitchen appliances). nothing!
- Ioan (4/5): Disappointing - Absolutely nothing! Evil dead movie! dirty, bathroom as in middle age! the roads to this location more than international disaster. for me and my wife finish forever but FOREVER and EVER for this country MEXIC!A country without GOD! the host is to be appreciated! A country of criminals!
(4/5): Disappointing -
- Ziyad (6/5): Pleasant - Host
- Moha (10/5): Exceptional - Very cool place and close to the airport. The outside is a jungle with cool animals. Free secure parking inside as well. And the owner let us check in late. The place is a little hard to get to with a few dirt roads leading to it.
- Linda (10/5): Waking up to the birds! - Friendly owner who.told us a lot about his passions, the plants and animals around the house.
Close to the airport, great shower, fast internet.
- Daniele (10/5): Exceptional -
- Antje (10/5): Exceptional - What a beautiful place !! Each room has it own look and feel about it.
The owner is also great and very helpful
- Grey.i (10/5): A wonderful, magical stay. Come as a guest, leave as a friend! - Casa del Arquitecto is a magical little jungle oasis in Cancun. I only needed the stay for the night after my flight and before I headed further into Mexico, and it was perfect for that. Arturo is an incredibly welcome host and I left feeling like a friend, not a guest. The property is filled with Arturo's artwork, and he spent a great deal of time showing me his studio, his projects around the property, the local animals. A10/10 stay! If I were staying here for a longer time in Cancun, I'm not sure about the location. It's very close to the airport but I'm not sure what else.
- Marty (9/5): Superb - The house is beautiful with a lot of art and architectural details. There is plenty of lush vegetation all around the house.
Arthuro was a great host. He welcomed us warmly and took time to show us his art.
There is a parking spot within the residence which was very convenient.
The residence is located only 10 minutes away to the airport which was convenient because we had a flight early in the morning. There aren't many things to do in the area. You will need a car to go to the beach or to the center.
- Salimata (8/5): perfect place for a lay-over - From the moment I stepped foot into this recycling paradise, I was mesmerized by its unique charm. Every corner exuded Arturo's artistic touch, showcasing his passion for repurposing materials into breathtaking works of art. The attention to detail in every aspect of the house truly made it a haven for the soul.
Arriving tired and hungry, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that surpassed all expectations. Arturo's genuine kindness extended beyond mere hospitality—he welcomed me into his home with open arms and treated me to a delicious homemade dinner.
Tip for Fellow Travelers: Beware of the exorbitant taxi fares from the airport to the city (around $100!). Instead, consider booking a transfer through the contact number Arturo provides. At $35, it's still pricey, but far more reasonable compared to airport rates.
- Montserrat (8/5): Very good -
- Jane (8/5): Very funky place with a friendly and interesting host! - Very funky place. It was even cooler than it looks in the pictures! The room was nice and spacious. The host was very friendly and interesting. I wish we could have stayed longer, but we arrived in the evening and had to leave early the next morning for a flight.
- Giovanna (8/5): Very good - Arturo is a beautiful person.
His house is amazing. I raccomended. No shop around.
- Thomas (8/5): Stay in a local man's passion project - Attentive & congenial host. Lush courtyard. Ceiling fan above the beds did the job. The stay was more than satisfactory compared to other lodging in the 600mx price range & you'll get a kick out of the host's creative construction. Nothing was below satisfactory for the price.
- Bertha (1/5): Bad -
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sabrina (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice host with many interesting stories :)
- Jacqueline (8/5): Comfortable stay in a unique artistic dwelling. - Delicious breakfast!
Amazing property!
Delightful host.
- Stephanie (9/5): Superb - Close to the airport, very unique style, very friendly host.
- Fruzsina (10/5): Worth it, totally recommend. - Fantastic garden, authentic decoration.
- Nivalda (10/5): Exceptional - Breakfast, decoration and host 👍
- Cees (8/5): THE OTHER CANCUN - The owner was very nice and kind. And a great artist.
The garden is special. Very green, looked like a botanic garden.
The 20 minute walk to the street and square where the action was, was worth wile. Great place in the evening with lots of eating spots Not all clean, some parts a bit old and ready for repairing. The location was on a dirt road.
- Sandra (5/5): Solo female travel, avoid it! - The room was clean and it was a little bit overprice for my expectation. Host is very friendly, no problem with that. If you are not familiar with locations, this seems to be a good choice for a single night. Close to airport. That’s what I thought.
I travel a lot but as solo female traveler, I didnt feel safe. Pretty much I paid and leave to look for something else.
- Csáder (8/5): Very good -
- Bas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anna (8/5): Calm oasis, good value for overnight stay - Good location close to the airport for an overnight stay. Loved the eclectic decor and calm surrounding. Nice breakfast and Aturo was so very calm and helpful when we had an unexpected disaster with our car hire.
- Viktorija (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing host beautiful house and delicious breakfast 🥞 Would love to stay longer
- Evgeniya (10/5): Exceptional - It was such a pleasure to get to know Arthuró and to be hosted by him in his beautiful house. Arthuro is an architect and he has constracted every detail of his house with so much love and attention to details. The house is like a museum and yet unfinished lifework of Arthuró. I enjoyed very much the cosy atmosphere of the house. After 4 weeks of travelling it was so nice to feel like at home and taste homemade breakfast Arthuro has prepared for me. The ride to the airport took just about 15 minutes. I highly recommend to stay at casa del architector when you arrive in Cancun or when you are going back.
- Yuki (10/5): Exceptional -
- Meredith (8/5): Very good - The property is beautiful, surrounded by a lush garden and with so many unique, artistic details created by the owner, who is a gifted artist and architect. Arturo is a kind, attentive, available host - great for those wanting more of a classic bed and breakfast experience. Be sure to ask him about his paintings and other pieces! It was in a residential neighborhood where restaurants, etc were not easily accessible. There’s no AC, so we were fairly warm, though the garden shade and well-placed fans definitely help a lot. The big thing for us was that we did not feel confident that we were free to come and go as we needed as the outer gate was kept locked. For many this might create a feeling of safety, but for us it created a lot of anxiety. Also be sure to agree ahead with Arturo on a time for breakfast if you’re on a schedule.
- Tim (7/5): Good -
- Raz (9/5): Superb -
