• Jamie (8/5): Great location - Location was outstanding. Host was fabulous with answering questions and clear instructions for getting in. Great for a short stay. There were many 'drain flies' specifically in the bathrooms. Basement had the most flies. Also mold odor in kitchen-seems to come from under the sink.

It is a little damp but likely typical for older buildings in the area, humidifier in downstairs room made a big difference. Hosts were very responsive and friendly.

Internet non funziona bene nella stanza di sotto e deve essere detto che questa stanza non ha finestre e questo può essere un problema per qualcuno.

• Chiara (10/5): Consiglio assolutamente questo appartamento a chi vuole vivere Firenze da una posizione privilegiata - Soggiorno perfetto nel cuore di Firenze! L'appartamento è situato in una posizione davvero impareggiabile, a pochissimi passi dal Duomo: bastano letteralmente due minuti a piedi per trovarsi davanti alla magnifica Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore. L'interno è curato nei dettagli, pulitissimo e arredato con gusto. La cucina è ben attrezzata e il letto molto comodo. Ideale sia per una vacanza romantica che per un soggiorno culturale. Il check-in è stato semplice e Giulio è stato gentile e disponibile fin da subito.

Der Flur 1 ist im Keller. Der Raum hat kein Fenster! Zwangsbelüftet. Nachts mussten wir sie ausschalten da zu laut. Dieser Kellerraum ist extrem hellhörig. Täglich muss der aufgestellte Entfeuchter vom Gast geleert werden. Das fehlt in der Beschreibung alles. Der Raum ist kein Wohnraum! Beide WC- Brillen locker, was echt unangenehm ist. Betten sind kurz. Das Bett im Keller ist durchgelegen. Ärgerlich für den Preis.

The setup in the downstairs to deal with humidity is excellent, and as for complaints on older reviews for smell there was no real problem - and considering it was 36 degrees I was initially apprehensive on that The pump for the toilet is a bit noisy, but really not a big deal. Negatives mentioned by old reviews seem perfectly fine now
• Ben (3/5): Not recommended - The location was excellent. The host was kind and agreed to let us leave our luggage in the room ahead of time, and also helped us order a taxi to the room. The upper room faces the corridor with a window so you can constantly hear everyone passing by outside. In addition, there is a noisy pump in a utility closet inside the room. As soon as you enter the apartment you feel a strong smell of mold. Downstairs there is a basement without windows with a ventilation system that operates until 11:00 PM and despite this there is a suffocating atmosphere. The bathroom smelled of sewage every time we flushed the toilet and there were lots of small insects on the walls. I would not go back there.

I love the coziness of the place. I loved that there were 2 options or preference of bedroom type (upstairs or downstairs). It was such a simple, lovely accommodation, but had everything we need. Nothing much. I liked everything.

Giulio has worked really hard to sort out the smell others reported in the lower floor, it was perfect during our stay. I would however turn the continuous ventilation off at 9pm. The lower floor was perfect otherwise.

• Carrie (8/5): Very good - We chose this apartment for it's close proximity to Piazza del Duomo. Having 2 bathrooms was great. I appreciated there was an option for a washing machine, though we didn't need to use it. The property description listed 2 twin beds in Bedroom 2, but that was not accurate. There was a pull out sofa and the host responded quickly so we could access additional linens for our teens to sleep separately. Be aware that the second bedroom and bathroom is down a steep set of stairs - probably not ideal for young children.
• Amruta (9/5): Great location, clean, comfortable unique house. - The location was excellent and within walking distance of a lot of main sites. The train station is also close. The house was clean and comfortable. The host also had kept a wine bottle for us, which was a really nice touch. Communication with the host was easy, and timely. The 2nd bedroom is downstairs in the basement. This could be a problem for people with mobility issues. We had elderly parents and it was somewhat difficult for them to go down and up the stairs. It would be good if this is mentioned in the description. But otherwise the basement room itself was comfortable and had a bathroom as well, so it wasn't much of an issue for us.

The location, as promised, is in the middle of Firenze and has everything you need, is clean and really neat. We only spend one night, but it sure is suitable for a lot more. The owner is very friendly and more than helpful, couldn't ask for more.
