• Ashani (7/5): - Good location, but lacked privacy and needs updating While the property has potential, our stay was let down by a few significant issues regarding comfort and privacy. the space itself felt quite dated and a bit dusty upon arrival, lacking the crisp, clean feel you expect when checking into an accommodation. More importantly, the hosting style felt very overbearing. We received daily text messages on WhatsApp from the host checking in, which felt intrusive and disruptive to our trip rather than helpful. Additionally, there is a camera installed right at the entrance. While we understand security is important, its placement combined with the constant daily messaging made us feel uncomfortable and constantly watched during our stay. If you value privacy and a modern, fresh space, you may want to look elsewhere.

• Shanrah (9/5): Really nice cosy place - The accommodation was close to all places to visit. Short walk to train station. Really yummy pizza slices just on corner, cut to whatever size you want. Unfortunately no lift, very small steep stairs. Because it was a old palace it is not possible to put one in. One room very small.

• Frank (10/5): Perfect location for exploring all Florence has to offer! - It is a great location to act as a springboard to explore Florence. Easy walking access to trains, and tourist attractions, no need for a car/scooter. Perfect for a single, or couple. Gets a little crowded for more.

• Yania (9/5): Great location and clean place with a great host. - The host was very communicative and provided us with a lot of instructions and suggestions on where to go and eat. She was available right away. The beds and towels were very clean, which is a priority for me. A lot of places don’t wash the comforter between guests—only the sheets—but this place had towels and sheets that smelled very clean. The pillows were a little hard, but that’s probably because I have high expectations when it comes to beds. The bedrooms are small, like a typical European room, which wasn’t a problem for us. The location was great. We would definitely stay here again. The pillows could be a bit softer.

• Dmitry (10/5): Отличные апартаменты в пешей доступности от центра с отличными хозяевами. - Огромные апартаменты в историческом здании. Все было устроено просто отлично, безконтактный заезд, хозяев не видел ни разу, всё общение через WA. Хорошие 2 комнаты, большая ванная комната. Рядом с апартаментами много ресторанов и баров. Очень не хватило чайника, чтобы вскипятить воду. Больше никаких претензий нет.

• Cynthia (10/5): Fantastisch, we zijn net vertrokken en hebben nu al heimwee naar Florence en het leuke appartement. - Superfijn appartement op een handige locatie dicht bij alle bezienswaardigheden. Iliaria was de beste gastvrouw ooit, zonder dat we haar daadwerkelijk gezien hebben. We kregen een overweldigende hoeveelheid tips en leuke berichten.
• Anton (8/5): A good value for money - The location was near perfect and host was friendly. The apartment itself was tidy and neat. There was also airconditioning in every room which made our stay in florence during the summer heat very comfortable. There were some inconveniences like the bathroom door lock didn’t work and one of the power outlets in the kitchen was attached to the wall loosely. Overall these inconvenieces were very small and didn’t bother our trip that much.

• Lucy (4/5): Ok if not spending downtime in the appt during your stay. - Very clean and great location. Good aircon. Only 15 mins walk into centre. Lots of guide books and city info available. Host also sent lots of info. Was very helpful booking a departure taxi for us. Very limited natural light, other than the bathroom. no view from the two windows only walls from other buildings not the dome picture as advertised in their listing pics. Had basic kitchen equipment but no kettle :( No starter essentials (coffee tea only a couple of green tea / fruit tea bags) Only 2 small toilet rolls left which was not enough for our group size and length of stay. Very noisy neighbours in another apartment who were locals and very vocal until past midnight both nights we stayed.

It’s located in a vibrant neighbourhood with so many great options for food and just a 15-minute walk from both the station and Ponte Vecchio. I knew I was going to have a great time in Florence because my very first interaction with Ilaria was brilliant. She was kind, welcoming, and genuinely caring — her instructions were so clear that even arriving late at night was completely stress-free. I’ve stayed in many places, but this is the first time I’ve felt hosts cared this much. Highly recommended. I loved everything about my choice of the apartment
• Kearney (7/5): Good location, decent stay - Charming and comfortable The coffee maker was covered in mold :( It was a disappointment and my elderly mother ended up cleaning it out, but it made her ill in the process The stairs were also a challenge for my mother. The pictures showed one flight, not two.

• Alveena (7/5): Great location - The property was in a very good location, very easy to get to the centre of Florence and the train station was also less than a 15 minute walk away. We received 3 towels each, which was great and the apartment had an authentic Italian feel to it, which was nice. There was a slight damp smell when we walked into the building which wasn’t the best, but luckily that was not in the actual apartment. There are also two flights of narrow stairs to get to the apartment, which were quite difficult to manage with suitcases, but other than this, everything else was good. We were asked to empty all the rubbish babes and take them to the street bins when we left, again the rubbish bags were difficult to manage with all our luggage.

• Silvina (10/5): Excellent apartment in a great location in Florence! - We loved the location and assistance of the host. Ilaria was really helpful and attentive at all times. Nothing really, the only thing I could say is that it is on the second floor with narrow stairs and it is a bit uncomfortable if you have large luggage.

• Sarah (10/5): Fabulous Florence - The owners guided us with regular updates on local information. We never met but a WhatsApp would come through. Really thoughtful people. The accommodation was perfectly situated: the C4 bus right outside, the River Arno just behind leading to the historical town. Restaurants and bars to the east and west. There's also a small wine shop across the road; lovely retailer. You can't buy wine in Florence after 9pm though. Inside the apartment: super bathroom, perfect gallery kitchen, dining table which we covered with maps and information morning noon and night. The beds have memory foam mattresses which after a long day walking were perfect. It's also great value: we are 2 travelling companions and needed two bedrooms. Very hard to find in a moderate price range. The single bedroom was very small but at least there was a single bedroom. Very cleverly designed. The only negative for this review is the stairs. 2nd floor apartment with stairs.

It’s an easy walk from the train station, just outside of the hustle and bustle of the tourist sites! The lights for the hall near the bathroom also lit up the small bedroom. If you turned them on, you wake the person in the bedroom!

• Suzanne (10/5): It’s simply the best! - Il Limone is in a perfect location in Oltrano. It is quiet and we loved being in a local area. The apartment is very well set up with everything you need. It’s comfortable and welcoming and our hosts Ilaria and Antonio are the best ever. Ilaria was so caring and helpful and gave us some excellent advice on where to visit and the best places to eat. Trattoria Sabatino was the best, but get there early and queue. It’s a wonderful family run trattoria. Overall we cannot fault this apartment, we loved it.

Steep stairs to walk up to the property and no windows with views but really, the property was pretty much perfect.

The apartment was very well set up with excellent air conditioning- a must in the heat of Florence! So many very good local restaurants and bars nearby- we ate so well! The hosts are incredibly helpful - they really do try to help with information about attractions, restaurants, etc. They also helped with information regarding a hairdresser and podiatrist as well as booking us a taxi to the station! Nothing - but those with mobility issues should know that the steps are steep. Didn’t worry us but could be difficult for some.

• Silvia (10/5): Fantastic Apartment in Florence - Super nice apartment in the cool but yet quiet part of the city. Beautiful rooms and impecable cleaning. I would love to live in an apartment like this one. Hosts were in constant contact and helped us book a taxi for the airport. There is laundry soap, olive oil, and other basic cleaning and cooking products which is always great. Washing Machine available in the kitchen (love it). Beautiful decorations, comfy rooms and beds. Fantastic!!!!! The apartment has three floors of steps. For me it is perfectly fine but it is important to consider it for people with some mobility restrictions.

• Amy (9/5): Great location - Great location in the area of Florence where the locals live and play. Some of the top rated Tuscan restaurants are just down the street! It's clean and comfortable and the host, Ilaria, is very helpful. There are 4 flights of stairs up to the apartment, which is fine if you are not traveling with luggage. I was traveling with my 76 year old mother who could not carry her luggage up the stairs. It made getting in and out a bit difficult. The apartment is great if this is not an issue for you.
• Sabrina5000 (10/5): Exceptional - It was just beside the action but away from the throngs of tourists. It is surrounded by restaurants and stores and homes of local people. The beds were very comfy and the apartment was charming and it has an interesting history. Our host was very helpful and we really enjoyed one of the restaurants (Sabatino) he recommended. It was very authentic and reasonably priced. Check-in is difficult without a phone plan. We got data prior to coming there and messaged our host through booking.com. if you don’t have a phone plan will you need to get someone to call the host for you or leave someone at the door to wait for the buzzer while someone else goes down the street to get wifi from the pizza place. It’s doable.

• Wybrand (10/5): Exceptional - The unit had everything we needed for the family. It was perfectly situated. The only difficulty was getting in to the unit as we didnt have wifi which was needed to gain the initial access. So we had to leave one member of the family at the house while another went in search of a free wifi zone so that we could get inside.
• Kaylee (10/5): Our stay was exceptional with all that the Limone had to offer! - The II Limone was amazing. The apartment was as pictured, it was very clean, quiet and had the perfect amount of room for the 5 of us. The Location was perfect. A short walk to the major areas of Florence and restaurants with amazing food very close by. The host was extremely helpful the entire trip from transportation getting to the Limone, to suggestions on what to do during our stay to places to store luggage. Very responsive. If ever again in Florence, we will be back! Nothing.
• David (10/5): A beautiful apartment in a beautiful City !! - Our host was so helpful before we arrived and during our stay recommended some great restaurants and places to visit. The location was ideal to the centre of Florence and also to some lovely local bars and restaurants. The apartment was great it had everything we could wish for during our stay. I would highly recommend staying here and would like to say a massive thank you to Ilaria for making our stay so memorable.

Shower was nice and big. There was a sulfur smell in the back bedroom at night but we couldn’t have the windows open because of mosquitoes. It wasn’t a big deal but there seems to be a ventilation issue somewhere.

It was not a big negative, but the stairs are very narrow to navigate with big luggage. I would stay here again regardless. Specially of it is for more than 2 nights.

• Shirley (9/5): Cute and clean appartment, great location and friendly hosts. - The appartment is located near Ponte Vecchio (10 minutes walking) and the station (15 minutes walking). It is a historical building with cozy interior. It was really clean and communication with the hosts (Ilaria and Alberto) was very helpful. In the local area are lots of great little bars and restaurants. Would definitely recommend and/ or go back to. Great stay! Not really a downside if you are healthy, but the stairs are quite steep and narrow. Keep this in mind, especially when carrying heavy luggage.

• Margaret (9/5): Perfect location in the heart of Florence - Il Limone is set in a fantastic location, central to many attractions in Florence. It is across the river, and in a quieter residential area so was quiet. 15 minute walk to main train station with easy links to places such as Siena. Also short walk to Ufizzi Gallery and Pitti Palace. Hosts were very helpful giving us information about local restaurants and supermarkets. Nothing too much trouble. Very good air conditioning. Some very pleasant cafes nearby with locals extremely friendly. We were travelling with our 21 year old son, so the second bed was a little tight for him. Not the fault of the apartment but were at the mercy of the people in the apartment above - mostly quiet but for a couple of nights was quite noisy.
