Guest Reviews
- Riccardo (8/5): -
- Justo (10/5): - The location and the apartment features. Noise of the street, it is close to the market and movement starts around 5am and our apartment was on 3rd floor, too many and tiny steps of stairs
- Thais (9/5): Recomendo!

- Julian (9/5): Superb -
- Wendy (8/5): Very good - The location was excellent; within walking distance of lots of attractions as well as the train station. The pull out bed was extremely uncomfortable. I would suggest you think twice if you need a second bed. Otherwise the apartment was fine. Be prepared to climb steps though!!
- Ravishwor (4/5): Disappointing - Location Shower is tiny. Hardly can get i and i am not a big person.
Suits 2 adults as the sofabed and kitchen makes it small and uncomfortable for more than 2 adults.
Its on the top floor so 40 steps climb.
- Carolyn (6/5): Pleasant - The location was very central; probably the best part of the property. We booked a room with a sofa bed with the idea that our child would get the bedroom since she went to bed earlier, and the adults would take the sofa bed. The sofa bed had a bar protruding from the middle, so my husband shared the bedroom with our child and I slept horizontally on the sofa bed. The bed in the bedroom seemed comfortable, but it wasn't the arrangement that we had hoped for. If you only need one bed, it would be fine. Also, the balcony was very small and had no furniture on it -- not all that useful. We didn't really use the kitchen, but it looked pretty well-equipped.
- Kirby (6/5): A well-located and tidy apartment but a few improvements needed. - The host contacted us before our trip and sent a really helpful video explaining how to access the apartment and use the keys, which made everything very straightforward. We can not fault the location of the apartment as it was less then a 5 minute walk from the main Florence square and had a variety of bars & restaurants to choose from.
The apartment was well-equipped with everything we needed and had a separate bedroom, along with a sofa bed in the kitchen/dining area. It was very clean, tidy, and well-maintained, with plenty of space in the main bedroom for storing clothes. The air conditioning also worked really well, which was a huge bonus.
As the name suggests, the apartment was very quiet, even though it was located right next to the market and several bars. There was even a cooking school next door, and when we opened the balcony door, the amazing smells drifting in were such a treat! The apartment was a little difficult to find initially. I would suggest that the host consider sending a pin drop of the exact location, as the market stalls nearby can be quite overwhelming and make it tricky to locate the right street.
The listing mentions a balcony, but I would describe it more as a small veranda — just to set expectations a little more clearly.
The bathroom and shower could use some improvement. The shower cubicle was quite small, with narrow doors, making it a tight squeeze even for someone of average build. The shower itself was not the best; the shower head only worked on the jet setting, and it took a long time for the water to heat up. Once it did, the temperature was very temperamental, swinging from freezing to scalding. On some days, we ended up opting for a simple sink wash instead, as the shower experience was quite stressful. It seems the boiler and shower fittings may be a little dated, so updating these could make a big difference for future guests. On a positive note, the rest of the bathroom was clean and had good storage space for personal items.
The sofa bed could also benefit from an upgrade. My teenage son slept on it, but the mattress was very thin, and he could feel the support bars underneath, which made for a poor night’s sleep. We tried to soften it as best we could, but unfortunately it wasn’t very comfortable. Investing in a newer or higher-quality sofa bed would really improve the experience, especially for longer stays. In hindsight, it might have been better to leave it as a sofa and have him sleep on it that way.
- Camerlengo (9/5): Florence apartment - Location right next to the central marketplace was absolutely amazing and very convenient. The beds were quite comfy. The owner was very responsive with respect of communication. Lack of reasonable space was a little bit of an issue especially in the shower cubicle and trying to all fit around the kitchen table. Otherwise it was great.
- Fanya (8/5): Quiet San Lorenzo market apartment - The location was excellent just steps outside of the San Lorenzo Market, 10 min walk from the train station, and less than 10 from the Santa Maria Novella Basilica piazza. The apartment is located on the 3rd floor...no elevator. It faces the inside of the building so is quiet, so there no street noise. Below is a food school that may have some noise in the evening but quiets down.by 11pm. The 3 windows open for lots of fresh air. Bedroom is a good size for a couple and the bed size and comfort was good. There are 2 air conditioners for a small place which is great. The gas stove is great for cooking. And the fridge was a good apartment size. Even though it was a small bathroom, the shower was very outdated, looked dirty with a very bad shower head, and there is no place to put your shampoo bottle or soap but the toiletries given were just 2 small packets of shampoo and soap. The plug in the kitchen above the stove didn't work, so you couldn't use the microwave or kettle. There are no regular size coffee cups, only espresso sized cups. And there isnt a tea towel for the kitchen. The owner didnt reach out with check in instructions until the morning of and requested payment of room tax in cash on the day of arrival without prior notice.
- Robert (9/5): Nice location nice older style apartment which has been modernised - Clean good location The hassle of packing the sofa bed away
- Margaret (8/5): Very good - On the whole good value for money.
Proximity to central Firenze
Balcony and ability to cook
Proximity to Railway Station
Spacious A few things needed fixing.
Shower and toilet needed a good clean.
No plug for sink in kitchen.
No working TV
Plug damaged.
Wi fi code took a while due to I being an lowercase L
- Heather (10/5): Exceptional -
- Magdalena (9/5): Great location, nice and clean apartment - Very nice apartment, very central!, communication with hosts was easy. Kithen towel would be handy, we could not find tea spoons.
- Barbara (5/5): Passable - Location. Close to train station- an easy walk. The apartment had a an usual smell that when we were out all day & the unit was closed up made it worse.
- Kalliopi (10/5): Very central and comfortable - Location was perfect Very steep stairs, was fine for us but would be difficult for someone older
- Justin (8/5): Nice place, convenient to everything - Convenient access to the train station and all the big attractions in Florence. Lots of good restaurants in easy walking distance.
The windows were sound-proofed, which made the rooms nice and quiet when closed up at night. The shower and sink drains backed up very quickly. For the shower, it was so bad that you could only turn the water on for a few seconds at a time.
The apartment was up three or four flights of stairs. It was no problem for our family, but for others I could see that being a problem, and it wasn't mentioned in the listing.
The city tax in Florence was VERY expensive compared to other cities we visited (at least €15 cash per person at check-in time). In fact, everything in Florence is expensive.
- Darlene (6/5): Small apartment, good location - Host was responsive and sent a video with very clear instructions on getting into the apartment. The location was good - not far from the train station, near the Central Market. The apartment was small. It was tight for 4 people. The beds were quite uncomfortable, so we did not sleep well.
- Joan (9/5): Superb -
- Christopher (8/5): With some fabreeze and softer pillows, this would be an ideal place to stay while in Florence. - Location to the train station was perfect.
Apartment had plenty of room for 2. Squeaking bed and hard pillows.
Bad smell that seemed to be part of the entire building and the outside atrium.
- Iulian (9/5): good place to stay, 10 min to train station, needs a bit of work on cleaning 🤭 - was ok... noise and difficult to find it.
- Tatyana (8/5): Very good -
- Beatriz (8/5): Very good -
- Kristína (7/5): Good -
- Anne (8/5): A quiet cozy apartment very handy to markets and the duomo. - Location was great - very quiet yet just around the corner from the San Lorenzo Market and a short walk to the Duomo. It was compact but had all we needed for an overnight stay.
- Maria (8/5): Very good - Collection of keys and cleanliness in the apartment ok. The air conditioning could be a little better. And there is no space in the bathroom to put things away or hang up a towel.
- Dulce (7/5): Ok ISH...if you don't mind some things... - The location is top. Right next to central market and everything else is reachable by foot.
It is very small but if you do not mind that then you will be fine.
It has everything you need in terms of kitchen, bathroom AC, laundry machine. I didn't like the fact that it had 1 remote for 2 AC machines. I had to wake up at night to get the remote from the other room :-
The AC machine from the room was not cooling properly.
Everything is old and some furniture shoes cracks, it is still working but not pretty. If you don't mind that. Then you'll be fine.
It is on the 3rd floor, no lift, through a very narrow staircase and narrow steps, so careful if travelling with older people like I did with my parents.
It can be very noisy due to garbage trucks and other trucks, so bring something for that.
Is, the thing that I did mind was the mattresses and the pillows. Once you were on them they would fold like a hammock. Not suitable for anyone I would say. We slept very poorly during our stay there.
- Arindam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (4/5): You pay for location only - - location
- flexible check-in - small kitchen lack a lot for minimal usage
- very bad sofa bed. We arranged sleeping on floor for kids
- micro shower for very small people
- smell in appartment
- air-conditioning barely cooling but we had weather below 30 degrees so that wasn't an issue
- don't expect to use balcony
- Poor wifi and 4G in the house
- Audrone (10/5): Great stay, great communication with owner - Very clean, comfortable beds, good furniture No lift as it is old building!
- Mark (4/5): Disappointing - Good location. Should have been informed of the very steep stairs.
Kitchen poorly fitted out, e.g. cleaning and drying cloths, and cupboards were not very clean.
Not a single hook in the bathroom to hand towels on.
Extremely tiny shower.
- Valent (9/5): Superb - Great location and apartment had a good layout. Utensils and equipment were also nicely available at the apartment. Aircon in the living room is a little faulty. Other than that, the apartment was great
- Andreea (8/5): Very good - Great location, just near Mercato Centrale. Clean and cosy apartment The balcony is oriented towards an inner courtyard (which is fine), but there is an unpleasant smile coming from time to time from the other neighbours/sewage from the ground floor.
- Norman (7/5): Two nights at a Firenze unit - Location is near markets, bars n restaurants, the Duomo, Uffizi, n Ponte Vecchio...all within walking distance.
Host Silvana was very accommodating to allow us to check-in earlier than usual since we arrived quite early at the Stazione.
Bed is comfy, air-conditioned unit, and kitchen facilities. Quite an effort to haul baggage up four floors, 15kg to 20 kg is doable. Keys all worked, however, you get to learn a special technique to open the unit's door.
Had to tape/fixed top corner of shower area in order to close shower doors else floor gets wet. Informed host of quick fix for this issue.
No hooks/rack to hang towels and/or clothes at the bathroom.
- Wah (5/5): Maybe for someone who don’t care about above! - Roomy, Convenience location Slow internet! Very poor shower facilities! loosing plastics 2’x2’ small shower box, drainage & shower head problem, nowhere to put shampoo, body wash after closing shower door. No towel & tissue holder, Many Mosquitos! Dirty old cookware! old furnitures but ok! No TV!
- Elizar (7/5): Good -
- Michael (7/5): Pretty good. - I Liked the central location and the kitchen. Our host was very good. Noise outside late into the evening.
- Klemen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carolina (9/5): I recommend! Overall Great!! - Great location, close to the main attractions. We had no noise problems during the night.
5/10minute walk from the train station, so really good if you plan to go on day trips or are arriving and leaving by train.
The bedroom was spacious with lots of space to leave your belongings, the bed was great aswell.
We did have dinner in the house for the whole 4 nights and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed.
Being 3 adults we feared it might be too small but we did Manage pretty well to have breakfast and dinner without feeling we couldn’t move.
My sister slept on the couch and said it was confortable.
The balcony was a great surprise aswell, bigger than it looks! The toilet was spacious and had a great cabinet to organize all the toiletries BUT the shower…
It’s small and the door feels like it’s about to fall at any minute. It’s really tiny, but I did manage to shower and wash my hair, it’s just not very confortable.
In terms of cleaning… on the surface it’s fine until you look up and see the wood beams on the ceiling are gray with dust. Same with the top of the door frames.
- Jan (8/5): Great location and value for the money! Would stay again. - Location was centric but not were is filled with tourist so at night is really great if you want to rest but really close to everything if you want to go out. Host was readily available and waiting for us on arrival and communicated with us to coordinate the meeting prior to our arrival. It was all good but keep in mind that there are a couple flight of stairs in case you or someone in your group finds it difficult.
- Ema (10/5): Great stay overall - Apartment had everything we needed. Location was great with walking distance to city centre (5-10 min). Beds were very comfortable. The apartment is near the main railway station and near some bus stops.
- Diana (8/5): Very good -
- Antonio (9/5): Superb -
- Tamara (10/5): Excellent! Can’t wait to come back! - It’s in an excellent location! Bernardo was super friendly and very helpful! The apartment had everything we needed and the hosts had left several recommendations of restaurants/bars/attractions in the area that were very helpful! The apartment it’s self is modern with authentic touches! The pull out sofa bed was a little uncomfortable but perfectly fine for a couple of nights. The shower cubicle was a little small also but works and has good shower pressure!
- Tanya (8/5): Very good -
- Shin (9/5): Superb -
- Annatjie (6/5): Quiet apartment - Central and within walking distance of many important attractions
Quiet because it does not face the busy street
Air conditioning The kitchen equipment was old and almost like hand downs - microwave door had a problem, kettle was malfunctioning. Bits and pieces of crockery without some of the essentials one expects.
This apartment is Ok for 2 people but definitely not for 3 or 4 as advertised.
Although it was not a problem for me, be aware it is on the third floor with very steep narrow steps to manage with luggage.
- Michael (10/5): great stay -
- Atilla (9/5): Superb -
- Tristan (1/5): Avoid. There are better options available. - Very close to central market. High ceilings. Loud street noises at night.
Aircon didn’t cool.
Bed was uncomfortable and sunken in.
The host Bernardo was a bit pushy and not very
service-minded.
The extra “city tax” that was collected on arrival.
Other places provide an all-in price, so what you pay
during booking is the total amount.
- Aleksandra (7/5): Nice stay - Very good location.
In the apartment is everything you need ;) The apartment looks more modern in the photos than it really is
- Paulo (3/5): Fantastic Firenze, not a great place to stay... - Location is great near the Mercato Central. A bit noisy at night, but it will be in walking distance to main monuments. The house is in a very old building. The owner charged 20€ for arriving after 20h. We arrived at 21:15, due to a delay in the train. The "fine" for arriving isn't mentioned anywhere. The house was not super clean. We placed the towel to protect the table, and all our arms glued to it. The bathroom is very small, and it wasn't cleaned very well, with some black spots in the shower area. Neither the 20€ fine or the city taxes we paid 32€, we never received a receipt. When asking for check out we were told 10 am, but only after I saw it could be between 10 to 11am...but we didn't want to ay another hidden "fine", so we left before 10am!
- Rob (9/5): Superb -
- Yama (8/5): Very good - Location was only 15 min walk from the center. Next to the market where you could eat and dine. The apartment was comfortable with everything you need to spend a few days. There are some stairs to climb inside the building and I would not recommend it for someone with a slightly more limited mobility, but for us it was OK. The shower is very weak
- Marco (7/5): Perfect location - The location is fantastic, close to the train station and all the sightseeing and yet in a quiet area. Perfect for a couple, but being in 4 my back suffered a bit the quality of the 2nd (sofa)bed matrass. Otherwise very good!
- Danielle (8/5): Very good -
