The added bonus of air conditioning in every room, a washing machine and excellent wifi. we will certainly book again. Nothing. It is part way up a rather steep hill but as it is ticked away it is very very quiet.
• Crispyn (10/5): Great Stay in Florence - Fantastic location close to every major attraction in Florence, including food and groceries. The apartment is charming and in a beautiful location. The walk up the road is not bad at all, nor is the flights of stairs to the apartment. We had a fantastic time in Florence. The one queen/double bed in the bedroom closest to the kitchen was uncomfortable and overly firm.

• Miyuki (8/5): Very nice!! - The fact that I booked the room because of the atmosphere of the room and the fact that it was quite close to the city and I could almost walk to the hotel, it was a really great location! I got a dark impression when I entered. We all felt some strange energy... Ants, there were mosquitoes and they bit me and I had a slight allergic reaction... There was not enough toilet paper, kitchen paper, etc., so we had to buy more ourselves.

Location is good and the hosts customer service is superb! He was also kind enough to allow us to drop off our bags earlier than the normal check in. Loved it all!

The beds were super comfy. 3 toilets and 2 showers which was perfect for our family. The kitchen was basic but had absolutely everything you need. The location was brilliant. Perhaps a little more light in the kitchen

We were aware but the hill up to the room was steep with the suitcases. However it was worth it and the hill was easy without the suitcases so don’t let this deter you from this fabulous accommodation.

This was our first time visiting Italy and we couldn’t have found a more perfect place to stay. The beds were very comfortable. Great location, so much going on all around us. The hill is hard at first but by the end of our stay it seemed easier.

Decor was a tasteful old world eclectic style, just a perfect fit for visiting Florence. Despite the deliberate worn-in appearance of each room they were exceptionally clean. Returning to this living space at the end of each day just enhanced our overall experience. The climb up the hill and then up the stairs was a bit of a challenge but worth it in the end.

It is situated a stones throw from the hustle and bustle of Ponte Vecchio, but you wouldn't know it as it is so peaceful. Marie was very welcoming and made sure everything was perfect for our stay. Internet was flawless. The helpfulness of the owner was much appreciated, quick to respond, knowledgeable about advice we needed. The fact that we recognized how out of shape we were after arriving at the door after a long day and luggage. It’s a climb to the door, then five short flights. This small inconvenience meant a quieter, peaceful environment while still being only five minutes walk from Ponte Vecchio, restaurants, supermercato, gelato.

The apartment was beautiful, and the kitchen was well equipped for making your own meals if you choose to do so. The location is in the ZTL so if you have a car it’s not a good choice to stay as cars are not allowed in the ZTL.

• Julie (9/5): Loved our stay at La Maison at the Old Bridge. Perfect location and very cute atmosphere. Would highly recomend. - We can’t say enough good things about La Maison! It is just like the photos and you feel like you’re in an eclectic Italian villa! The view from the apartment is breath taking. There are two full bathrooms and one half bath with two bedrooms and three beds! The kitchen is also fully stocked - and there is a cute little patio with twinkle lights! It’s also close to many important attractions. The owner was fabulous and prepared a book with tips and recommendations for experiencing Florence. She also super helpful when we had other questions. We loved our stay! The ONLY draw back is the hill to get to the apartment. Definitely worth the trek though and the bonus is you burn off all the pasta and wine! 😁

The apartment is larger than it appears in the photos - 2 bedrooms with 10/10 for comfortable beds and pillows, 2 newly renovated bathrooms with excellent hot water and water pressure in the showers, a lounge, dining area and kitchen. • Josef (10/5): Wonderful. - Top notch apartment. Great location, as central as can be. Well furnished and fully equipped. Spacious and well kept. Clean and thoroughly organized. Host super responsive and professional. Surroundings perfect - near all central attractions, great supermarket just under the apartment. I wholeheartedly reccomend. Entrance by code only (no key), common in florence and probably safe but I'd prefer a key (we didn't ask, to be fair) or a code changeable by the guest. There is a very short but very steep uphill walk to the apartment. For most people it should be ok.

Our Host was outstanding always ready to answer our questions and setting up a taxi for us. For us the location was the best part just next to the ponte vecchio and plaza de la Republicca with many options of restaurants, gelaterias and shopping. Thank you Marie for everything! Note: The apartment is in a hill and also has 28 steps to get there, so if you have a baby trolley or lots of luggage take into the account, for us wasn’t a problem. all was perfect!

• Patty (10/5): , but extra space and comfort worth the money! - This is a fully equipped two bedroom, 2.5 bath apartment that can easily accommodate a family (extra twin in one bedroom). It was located on the south, quiet side of Ponte Vecchio bridge on a one way street, but still close to attractions and restaurants. Worked perfect for us as we were attending a wedding and other events in Grassina area. Maria was very responsive prior to and during our visit. She helped set up taxi times for us on a daily basis and all were on time. The apartment was clean and comfortable and we felt a little more ‘local’ staying here. Plus we had a large refrigerator for drinks, cheese and snacks! Please note that the street the apartment is located is about a one-two minute walk uphill from the base and up five short flights of stairs, so if anyone in your party is disabled in any way, it may not be the right location for you. We are both in our mid 60’s and considered the extra cardio worth the location and the space!
