Guest Reviews
- Jad (1/5): SCAMMER HOSTS, AND DISGUSTING ACCOMMODATIONS! STAY AWAY! - The view of the city. Everything was absolutely horrible. This host should be ashamed of themselves. 1. the beds were taped together, they were thin, old, and dirty. They were extremely uncomfortable, and always fell apart, it was absolute misery to sleep on a bed that is made up of tape and thin twin mattress a complete disgrace for $1,000. 2. The toiletries were zero to none, they had barley any amenities in the bathroom and kitchen, and barely any dish soap, they even neglected to replace a wine glass and only had 1, we had to go buy wine glasses, what a disgrace. 3. The water flow was weak at the faucets, so you couldn't wash anything properly, not only that, but the hot water doesnt even come out properly. 4. the living room did not match the host's photos at all, there were nasty covers over the couches, the coffee table was broken, the wardrobe was a disgrace and the dining table looked unstable to use. 5. the balcony furniture didnt for a slightest bit match the host photos, the host posted wooden decorated photos, but what you get is a rusted metal unstable balcony furniture. 6. the host neglected to mention that there was construction outside, this should be told as a curtsey to the guest, that way one would accept the fact that there will be noise. 7. the host did not mention that there would be bar noise that can come through when even all the windows are shut closed until 5am in the morning. 8. All this costed us $1,000 and nothing matched to be worth even $100. The host completely gave no care to us or the place, and they refused to refund us. They basically thought it was ok to sleep on a dirty thin mattress with tape on. They are crooks, and scammers, and they are just trying to advertise the view of this penthouse. Please do not stay at this place, even for one night. Booking.com should also be ashamed of themselves for letting this property continue to host guests, and they were not helpful in refunding us the full amount. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
- Cairney (10/5): Very comfortable and enjoyable stay - Excellent location, central to all popular attractions. Bars and restaurants on you doorstep.
View across the rooftops from the apartment. Fine for us but a bit of a climb up stairs to get there
- Caroline (8/5): Beautiful place to stay in central Florence with panoramic views over the city - The location is amazing, very close to the Duomo. There are two balconies with panoramic views over Florence and the views from inside the property are stunning. Lots of bars and restaurants close by but the apartment is not noisy.
There is a clothes washing machine that was useful. It’s on the third floor with no lifts (but this is why the view is so good)
The apartment hadn’t been cleaned when we arrived (after check in time) so we had to wait for this to be done.
- Maureen (8/5): - Very old and quirky. Lovely terraces. Great location - not too busy but near all the places you would want to visit. Nice restaurants nearby. There are 85 steps up to the apartment but the views are worth it! The kitchen is small and you need to use a step to access the cupboards. OK if you are agile, but maybe not for some older people.
- Lakisha (10/5): - The view was excellent. It was conveniently located near everything. So many great restaurants around. The stairs to get to the view were alot. I wish they had a few more linen to use.
- Rebecca (5/5): Good location but 80 steps to get up and very uncomfortable - Liked the location, very pretty balcony view and apartment The bed was extremely uncomfortable, it’s 2 single mattresses pushed together that are different heights, no good for a couple. Very uncomfy worst nights sleep and our backs are killing
- Agostino (7/5): Good - I liked the view from the living area and the small terrace. A lot of steps to reach the apartment with very narrow staircase. Also the drain in the shower didn't work properly.
- Alasdair (10/5): Lovely place - Really nice views from the main living area and 2 balconies. The location was fantastic. Clean, comfortable apartment (very soft bed). Hosts were very responsive and recommended me to park: Garage de Bargello (2 mins Walk for car parking, as you need a pass to drive in the city, which the garage organises). There are plenty of restaurants around. As others mentioned, there are many stairs (84). I really enjoyed my stay.
- Graham (9/5): Rooftops of Florence - The view was beautiful, seeing glimpses of some iconic landmarks across the Florentine rooftops.
Location was excellent, could walk to everything, just a few minutes from the Duomo & Piazza Santa Croce.
Rustic charm, had the essentials for a base.
The apartment is right at the top of the building so lots of stairs up to it, BUT, well worth it for the view. Bed was uncomfortable, mezzanine spiral staircase was shiny, slippy.
Was in central location so be prepared for occasional nightlife noise.
